One of the first miracles Elisha performed was to purify a town’s water supply. According to the townspeople the water was bad causing women to miscarry and the land to be unproductive. That’s a metaphorical picture of modern society. Hatred and racism have polluted our culture. Bitterness has ruined our relationships. Civilization is threatened. And what’s happening to society is also happening to individuals. If you have allowed bitterness, or anger, or racism, to poison your spirit call on the Lord. Ask Him to heal your wounded soul and purify your spirit.

Lord Jesus, heal our culture by healing us. Remove all hatred, racism and anger from our lives. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.
