EP107: Shaman Economics & Grace for Pilots: Joe Emerson's Saga - Gracearchy with Jim Babka

Joe Emerson was a pilot suffering grief. His self-medication with mushrooms spiraled into a near-catastrophe aboard a flight. Believing he was breaking free from an unbearable reality, Emerson endangered 83 lives by tampering with aircraft safety mechanisms. He's facing more than 80 criminal charges. But... Joe is using his story to reveal the tough choices a pilot must make -- because seeking help with mental health could jeopardize their careers. This episode also introduces Shaman Economics, a fresh take on addressing mental health through economic principles.
