Two sincere believers can open the same Bible, pray earnestly, and reach opposite conclusions while insisting God is on their side. Inspiration is divine, but our interpretations remain human. When personal certainty is confused with infallibility, a Bible we defend but refuse to let correct us becomes an idol of our own loyalty. Scripture was given not to shield traditions, but to examine our hearts like the Bereans. True faith does not fear honest investigation; it honors inspiration by letting God’s Word correct our certainty.
