ABOUT THIS EPISODE
This week on the Rick’s Rambles Podcast, we’re taking a little trip through some of the stories, songs, movies, and moments that make life interesting!
🎬 Fun Facts: All About James Bond
From Ian Fleming’s original books to the movies that turned 007 into one of the most recognizable characters in popular culture, we’re digging into James Bond history, trivia, and a few things you might not know about the world’s most famous secret agent.
🛣️ Mental Health Story: Just Do the Next Right Thing
Our recent trip along Illinois Route 66 gave me a pretty good reminder that sometimes you don’t need to know exactly where the road is taking you. You just have to do the next right thing. With Route 66 celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2026, it seemed like the perfect setting for a conversation about slowing down, taking the next step, and not getting overwhelmed by the entire journey.
🎵 The Story Behind the Song: “Don’t Give Up on Us” — David Soul
A look back at the 1976 hit from David Soul — where the song came from, who wrote it, its place in pop music history, and some interesting facts about a song many of us remember from the radio.
🎉 Quirky Holidays of the Week
And, as always, we wrap things up with some wonderfully strange, fun, and sometimes downright silly holidays you can celebrate during the coming week.
Whether you've been listening to Rick’s Rambles for years or you've just discovered the podcast, thanks for taking a few minutes to ramble along with me.
