ABOUT THIS EPISODE
🐎🌶️ ONE LAST TRIP TO CHESTNUT SPRINGS… AND WE GOT A LITTLE UNHINGED. 😂🍷
It’s officially time to say goodbye to Chestnut Springs! 😭
This week on Read Between the Wines, we’re diving into Hopeless by Elsie Silver—the fifth and FINAL book in the series—and apparently Mandy & Deb decided subtlety was no longer necessary. 😂
We’re breaking down Beau Eaton & Bailey Jansen, their 13-year age gap, the fake engagement that was definitely never going to stay fake, Bailey being judged for the Jansen name, Beau struggling to find his place after returning home from the military, and all those late-night moments that slowly blur the lines between pretending and something very real.
And obviously…
🌶️ WE TALK ABOUT THE SPICE.
The kisses that are only supposed to be for show. The skinny dipping. The utility shed. 👀 The scenes that had us questioning whether we could even keep this podcast remotely respectable…
Spoiler: we could not. 😂🍷
But underneath all the chaos, Hopeless gives us two people who are constantly being defined by everyone else—Beau as Chestnut Springs' hero and Bailey as a Jansen—who finally find someone willing to see the person underneath the reputation. And their fake engagement ends up pushing both of them toward completely new lives.
We’re talking characters, plot twists, favorite moments, emotional scenes, spice, Beau’s secrets, Bailey’s independence, and whether Hopeless gave us the ending we wanted for this series.
And because this is our LAST Chestnut Springs episode, you KNOW we have to look back at the series as a whole. 🥹🐎
