ABOUT THIS EPISODE
Chatting with @FriendsofPastorB about why he felt a need to do ministry and start a non profit. #dc4c @DC4C Step into the world of digital ministry with Christian Twitch streamers as we explore online missions, faith, and the gaming community. In this incredible conversation, Pastor B (also known as AsAlways in the gaming sphere) shares his journey of leaving a traditional church job in the Bay Area during the pandemic to pioneer a digital mission field from a remote mountain cabin. This move wasn't easy, involving financial struggles, the battle with perfectionism, and resistance from traditional pastors who didn't understand the vision. But the legacy of relentless faith runs deep in his family. You will be absolutely captivated by the story of his grandfather, a man who lost all his money in a boat fire, sat on Bible college steps for three days until admitted, and eventually hollowed out a sandstone cave in Mexico for a 40-day fast. That fast led to him buying a Vietnam-era psychological warfare speaker system, mounting it in an airplane, and preaching the gospel from the sky over Central America—even dive-bombing soccer fields with 50-pound bags of candy. "He fixed his chair by rigging a 2x4... took some small arms fire, and when they got out, the 2x4 had caught the bullet," Pastor B recalls. The same obedience that drove his grandfather drives Pastor B today. He shares a powerful moment when he argued with the Holy Spirit about streaming on Thanksgiving Eve. He reluctantly went live in the "Just Chatting" category, and that night, a young girl gave her life to Jesus right there in the chat, followed by her mother recommitting her life to Christ over Discord. We also hear the miraculous story of his wife's healing from a life-threatening seizure after he prayed the word "Release" over her, leading to her sharing the gospel with 300 people at her work. This video proves that God is moving in the unlikeliest of places, from the fierce battlegrounds of Call of Duty: Warzone to the supportive network of small Twitch channels. Whether you are a streamer, a chat moderator, or just someone hanging out, you have a vital role in this digital harvest. If you have ever doubted whether online connections can yield real spiritual fruit, or if you need a reminder that God uses our willing obedience despite our flaws, you need to watch this.
