O TYM ODCINKU
Dr. David Pocta and Hannah DeSouza discuss John chapters 5–6, focusing on how Jesus’ signs reveal deeper spiritual realities and bring the cost of following him into focus. They unpack the healing at the Pool of Bethesda and Jesus’ question, “Do you want to be made well?”, highlighting invitation, agency, and how healing disrupts systems—especially in the Sabbath controversy where restoration has become regulation. They then move to John’s signs of feeding the 5,000 and walking on water, and explore the Bread of Life discourse, including Jesus’ “I am the bread of life” claim, the manna/Passover connection, and the challenging language about eating his flesh and drinking his blood as a call to participate fully in his life.
