O TYM ODCINKU
Life takes real things from people. An injury ends the body you had, or an illness closes a door that used to be open. In that corner of a life the helplessness is accurate, and this episode starts by honouring it. Then it follows what happens next, which almost nobody catches. The helplessness leaks out of the room where it was true and into every room where it was never true at all.
Then the harder case. The person with a healthy body, a job and every option still open, who chooses dependency anyway because it is easier, and who always has something true to point at. They can't control the boss's mood, and they're right. They stretch that one real limitation into permission to stop building anywhere.
Think of your life as a structure. Some walls are decorative and some hold the roof up, like your income or the relationship your stability rests on. For most people every load-bearing wall belongs to somebody else, and the person with the salary and the mortgage can be every bit as dependent as the person on a payment. The source makes no difference. You find out the day a wall comes down.
In this episode: how helplessness spreads from one true loss into a whole life; chosen dependency and the strange peace of nothing being your fault; the load-bearing walls question; why a comfortable life can be the most fragile kind; the collapse as the first honest moment; and one wall to pick up and hold yourself this week.
