It has been a minute! But, I’m back with a fun episode where my buddies Marc and Tim draft their grindcore starter kit. Here are some of the bands we consider; Assück, Repulsion, Mongrel, Napalm Death, Discordance Axis, Cloud Rat, Gross, Siege, Extreme Noise Terror, Carcass, Agoraphobic Nosebl…

Elyse an I have only been pals for a short time, but I always love talking music with her. She has depth of knowledge and listens to a wide variety of music – but we love talking metal. Here’s a sample of what we ramble on about; Eyehategod, Soundgarden, Axioma, Carcass, Neil Young,…

Aaron Stefanko is the vocalist and one of the guitarists in White Lighter. Aaron and I have known each other for a while, crossing paths periodically over the years, but have hung out more frequently in recent years. I had a chance to catch up with Chad Jolly and we talked about A LOT of 90’s bands – it was interesting to see where our tastes aligned, diverged and the impact these bands had on him growing up. We ramble on about; Bad Religion, The Lemonheads, Texas is the Reason, Avail, Lifetime,…

Max and I had been trying to pull this together for a little while now and finally…we got our shit together. I’ve been acquainted with Max since the 90’s and it was nice catching up with him. We talked about a lot of bands. All of the fast variety; Napalm Death, Infest, Brain Deat…

On this episode my guest is my second child, my oldest daughter, often imitated, never duplicated, Maria. She had been asking for weeks to actually bo on the podcast so I decided that we could play the “Pick a Song Game”. When we are in the car we like to take turns picking songs and I …

Mikey is one of my favorite people. As bandmates in Persistent Aggressor we would often talk music before (during) and after practice at length – it was always a good time. So it only made sense to have him on! Warning. For those of you with sensitive souls that can’t handle real talk a…

Keith Freeman is truly one of the nicest dudes I’ve met in a while. The prolific and well traveled bassist chatted with me about some of his favorite music. We hit on a lot of different stuff, but all of it rules. This is another one I recorded before the unplanned hiatus, but is one of my fa…
