The purpose of our podcast "young people aren't alien, they're just a different generation" 👽 is to shed a light on the reality of being a young person today.

🤝 We've brought together voices from GEN-Z and older generations to tackle the cross-generation information gap, share their life advice and why human skills are so important in today's world of AI.

Volkanic is built by young-people, we've experienced the challenges and opportunities first hand and are now giving back to the next generation so you can learn from our successes, mistakes and everything in-between.

Compared to previous generations the world looks a little different for GEN-Z, who have grown up and are trying to find their feet, jobs etc in a world post-pandemic, with social media and AI... 🤔

... Good grades and technical skills are only 1/2 the challenge in today's world of AI, your human skills are the other half.

After noticing a lot of discourse around GEN-Z, without ever getting young-people into the room to understand their perspectives, we decided to tackle the cross generational misunderstandings head on...

🌋Welcome to the Volkanic Eruption -> how our podcast works

At Volkanic, all our development runs via our skill playing cards

This season we have 8 volkanic skill playing cards, each represent the different human skills we develop

📈Leadership, 🎙️Communication, 💪 Resilience, 🌟 Selling Yourself, 🤩Confidence, 🕵️‍♀️ Attention to Detail, 💰Opportunity Creation

Each week we unpack how you can exploit each human skill to level up in career & life- all based on lived experience

Episodes drop in 2s:

1️⃣ A Gen-Z (aka a volkanic eruptor)

2️⃣ A guest from an older generation

Our guests will be chatting about what life is like as young people today or when they were "younger", the mistakes, the challenges, the opportunities...

🌋 All our GEN-Z guests (aka VOLKANIC ERUPTORS) are young people like you and us, from normal backgrounds living the challenges and opportunities of today's world, they don't have huge social media followings, may not have won loads of awards or been the top of their class but they bring value in so many other ways that goes beyond metrics, stats and social status.
