이 팟캐스트 소개 🔗
In 2015, I started writing Midas- a series of novels about college guys trying to escape a VR simulation. When I started out, I was a fundamentalist Bible college student planning to become a Christian missionary. Four years and four Midas novels later, I was out of college, out as queer, and writing psychedelic zines in the Chicago underground art scene. So, what happened there?
Each episode, I'll read a chapter of one of these books I wrote in my early 20s, try not to cringe so hard I die, and tell you about how I wrote them, and they wrote me.

In this episode, our characters participate in a strange VR experiment the princes are involved with; and the author feels nothing but pain and remorse after hearing the fruits of her Tumblr addled youth.
이전 에피소드 🔗
In chapter 3, our main characters attend a tea party with local royalty, and the writer considers the role of gender in writing, and whether or not it is gay to have a rich, internal life. Suggested to drink tea while listening to this episode.

Chapter 2 of Midas: The Golden Dome sees the main characters learning about the creepy, sci-fi biotechnology known as the hylomorphs; and the writer studying abroad in Greece and preparing for Nanowrimo.
Now listen, I know there's some drama going on with Nanowrimo and AI. I'm not really engaged…

DG sings the praises of the connective tissue of stories that leads up to/fills in the gaps of Infinite Crisis- The Infinite Crisis Companion.
(Not you, Rann-Thanagar War)
DG tests a series of DC stories against the official comics bunker Crisis Rubric:
1- At least 2 teams that do not usually interact with each other- ideally from different time periods or universes- must interact.
2- A situation that threatens the status quo of one or both teams …
In a very short episode, DG outlines the terrifying propagandist implications of weird and stupid comics where Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen turns into octopus boy or something...
Zero Hour. It's not great. A true sequel to Crisis on Infinite Earths it ain't, but maybe it's still worth talking about? Join DG Davidson in trying to do just that!
This is it. The big one. Universes will live, universes will die, blah blah blah. Dive in to Crisis on Infinite Earths with your basement-dwelling host, DG Davidson.
DG Davidson is finally back, with more summaries of weird comics from the 70s and 80s. Learn how we got from Multiple Earths to Infinite Earths, and how DG classifies a DC Crisis Event.
