이 팟캐스트 소개 🔗
A podcast about the mid-life & times of an aging metalhead & his stupid love of live (heavy) music. I'm too old, it's too loud & I don't care.
Your host Tor Hansen tells stories from Yesterday& Today (Y&T pun intended). Every episode brings an album of the week and a review of the concerts he's been to. It's almost always Metal, or Hardcore, or Metalcore, or Metallic Hardcore , you get the idea. Plus if you aren't about the metal but like the stories we have a special segment for you. Bangers for Beginners brings you one song every week that is hand-picked to start you on your own journey towards Metalhead...dom. There's some parenting stuff, some coming-of-age stuff, and lots of heavy music stuff. So pull up beside Tor at the edge of the pit and enjoy the show.

This week, my sound was an adventure so apologies for the decreased quality...But better late and bad than never, not really. Today I bring you a handful of songs released in Summer(ish) 2026 that are sure to make you smile, or make you angry at me for daring to imagine what might …

This episode is pretty boiler plate, Chart Chuggers, Concert Calendar and an exciting (for a moment) new frontier for the podcast. I misuse words and say a lot of things.

Story time: A fond reminiscence/critical revisiting of a song and a night that are lodged in my memory like a cocklebur in my sock. Long one, but hopefully a goodin'

End of the year wrap-up time. Your fearful host and special guest from Hungary go through a list of the 10 best live sets, 10 best songs, and the 10 best albums. Spend a little time with me cataloging and exploring the best tunes and shows form the past years. And and and, write me…

Just a fun(?) little Bonus…In honor of the best time of the year that isn't spring or summer, we've called forth from the great hereafter, a very special guest from the Hungarian version of hell to layout a playlist of deeply troubling songs. Please enjoy and keep in mind…

This week it's story time again. It's a farewell of sorts to Ozzy and it's obscenely packed with a whole lot of flawed reminiscence. Plus an Album of the Week you really shouldn't miss.

Hello, It seems to be a summer of lists here at the Pisdcast. This one is a bit different in execution from the last one. This week we’re bringing in a guest DJ with a familiar voice to help us build the ultimate bonfire of bangers to inspire you to get out and punch Nazis, tear do…

Lots o’ Music this week. This week, your friendly neighborhood f**khead brings you a playlist reminiscent of Summers bygone, foretelling of Summers never to come, and above all, a playlist as non-sensical as this description. Apologies upfront, I put my favorite M. Manson song on …

In this episode we do a quick recap of the championship of our March metal Madness Tourney. I tell you about a local show that blew my socks off and The tale of my near Exodus from Exodus. Music, Mirth, Meaning or 1 out of 3 of those things.

This week we start the inaugural March Tournament. The contest this year is 64 albums from 64 bands all vying to be crowned best album of 2024 and put the debate to rest. Here we cover the first two rounds. Some great matchups, some stupid comments by me, and hopefully a lot of fun…
