Have you ever watched a movie and thought "I'm probably the only person alive who likes this"? Well, you're wrong.
Jon and Pri are here to explore the obscure, the forgotten, and the poorly aged films of our lifetime. We discuss movies that could have, should have, would have, but mostly never really did.

Now You See Me 2: (“It should have been called Now You Don’t!”) The Second Act extended edition Redux, a movie that revokes your cinephile card if you watch it. We talk about another Woody Harrelson wig fiasco, Snoopy in the vestibule, and the dumbest scene ever shot.

We made it! Our raison d’etre, the single film that exemplifies our wayward and godforsaken show, Now You See Me! The Fast & the Furious of card tricks! A film unbound by the rules of our universe! Because: magic. Pri again gaslights everyone into thinking she’s seen a movie she hasn’t and the…
It’s the final X-Mennnn, duh nuh nuh nuhhh duh nuh nuhnuh nuhhhh. Dark Phoenix. Jon has face hurting disease but still manages to rank every X-Men film. We talk about the serious hair problems in this film, ponder how the world healed so fast after the literal Apocalypse, and laud the Domino’s Piz…
We’re back puzzling over the work of Scott Cooper. Antlers! A film that no one can really tell if Pri has actually seen and she won’t tell you anyway, in fact she’ll probably gaslight you. We talk about the greatest film technique, someone disappearing into the shadows, the short story the film wa…
Saw! The one that started it all and kicked off a whole genre renaissance and massive film franchise. Naturally, Jon and Pri talk about what kind of serial killers they’d be, quintessential cinema twists (there’s only 2), and their favourite torture devices. Join us for this life affirming episode…
We’re back to the Ritchie-verse with The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. We talk about our recent experiences watching two mediocre movies (Warfare and Sinners) and a piece of true film art (The Amateur) before talking about our favourite cinema Churchills and how World War II could have been p…
This week it’s the scariest film ever based on science (?!). Scott Derrickson’s 2012 hit Sinister! We’re big into whimsy on this pod so we whimsically discuss snuff films, Shirley Jackson’s husband, wife, or dog who went to college, and Forbes, the AI Magazine. Release the Bughuul cut!

Welcome to the Hawke-verse. We talk about Daybreakers, a depressing, contrast-heavy film that completely resists its own premise. Before that we discuss Pri’s cinema adventures to see Novacaine and The Alto Knights and how superhero movies don’t ever address the most burning questions. Then, we br…
Road House Redux the director’s extended edition! When I see the sea I dive in! We talk about Jacked Gyllenhaal’s entry into the Road House canon, a remake that could have used Jon Bernthal or Bradley Cooper but didn’t. Furthermore, we discuss Irish crocodiles, fight scene CGI, and Timothee Chalam…
