Hello, welcome to Winning.
00:01:08.896 --> 00:01:13.390
I am your host, Mackenzie Kilshaw, and today's guest is Mel Brandt.
00:01:13.671 --> 00:01:15.537
ow are you, Mel, I'm good, I'm good.
00:01:15.537 --> 00:01:15.937
How are you?
00:01:16.599 --> 00:01:17.341
I'm very good.
00:01:17.341 --> 00:01:25.697
So Mel just told me it's six in the morning for her and I'm feeling really fantastic that she's chosen to spend her morning recording the podcast.
00:01:25.697 --> 00:01:26.599
So thank you for that.
00:01:27.221 --> 00:01:27.902
You're welcome.
00:01:27.902 --> 00:01:28.724
It's all good.
00:01:28.724 --> 00:01:32.579
Like I said, I've got children, so it was bound to happen sooner or later, wasn't it?
00:01:33.450 --> 00:01:34.889
Yeah, exactly so.
00:01:34.889 --> 00:01:37.578
Mel has created Lifestyle Industries.
00:01:37.578 --> 00:01:49.612
It's a lifestyle focused digital agency using world-class software and strategy to boost your online presence, strengthen your brand and automate 99% of your customer journey, which I am just like.
00:01:49.612 --> 00:01:50.536
ascinated by this.
00:01:50.536 --> 00:01:58.396
I cannot wait to chat more about it, but she basically wants to help you create the exact roadmap that your business needs to achieve success online.
00:01:58.396 --> 00:02:16.358
She's got years of building six and seven figure online businesses under her belt, and her personal coaching is based on knowing how to grow a long, lasting, life-changing online presence with customers who will follow you wherever you go, and I think that is so, so important.
00:02:16.358 --> 00:02:17.748
So thank you for being on.
00:02:17.748 --> 00:02:20.997
This is going to be a great, great chat we're going to have.
00:02:20.997 --> 00:02:36.622
So I know that's a little bit about you and kind of what you do, but do you want to just give the audience a little bit more information, kind of who are you and what does your kind of business do for people on a day to day basis?
00:02:37.129 --> 00:02:48.412
Yeah, so I'm a mom of two girls, we live in Brisbane, Australia, and I've been in the online space now for eight years and my business now.
00:02:48.412 --> 00:02:56.253
What I knew when I stepped into the online space, I don't know, you just know things and you don't know how, but you just do, yeah for sure.
00:02:57.109 --> 00:02:58.013
It was in business.
00:02:58.013 --> 00:03:05.859
I just knew that I needed to a stand out and needed to bring something to the table that not a lot of other people were doing.
00:03:05.859 --> 00:03:13.899
So my company allows people to either step into the online space there's a few different facets that we tackle.
00:03:13.899 --> 00:03:35.662
They can either step into the online space and we show them how to build out a digital agency, or, if they're already established and in business, we introduce them to ecosystem automation, which is the easiest way to put that is imagine your website, your courses, your membership areas, booking systems anything that you would ever need online in one software.
00:03:35.662 --> 00:03:38.037
So that's a bit of a game changer.
00:03:38.037 --> 00:03:42.520
It allows everything to be completely seamless, but also allows for really smart scaling.
00:03:43.692 --> 00:03:51.085
Yeah, that's awesome and I think, like we live in a world of technology, let's use it to our full advantage, right?
00:03:51.626 --> 00:03:52.908
Yeah 100%.
00:03:53.270 --> 00:03:56.497
We're going to talk lots and lots about this coming up.
00:03:56.497 --> 00:03:58.301
But how did you get here?
00:03:58.301 --> 00:03:59.655
Like, where did you start?
00:03:59.655 --> 00:04:01.301
How did you get to this space?
00:04:01.805 --> 00:04:23.079
Oh, my goodness, it's not a lifetime ago, but I was working full time after baby number two and there was this girl that kept popping up on my Facebook and every time I saw her, she was having coffee with friends and she was going on holidays and, honestly, there was a little bit of me that despised watching me speak.
00:04:23.139 --> 00:04:24.701
But I didn't have it right.
00:04:24.701 --> 00:04:32.848
It was jealousy and I thought to myself I don't know what she does and I'm a little bit worried to ask, because what if she's a stripper?
00:04:32.848 --> 00:04:34.362
Oh, did I want to ask.
00:04:35.853 --> 00:04:36.877
It's just so s.
00:04:38.495 --> 00:04:47.557
Oh, my God, and that was my mentality, was that like how can she have all this time freedom unless she's selling her body, you know, or she's?
00:04:47.576 --> 00:04:52.096
got a really rich husband, which is such a shame that I thought like that.
00:04:52.096 --> 00:04:57.922
The reverse, in all of its glory, whipped me into line really, really quickly.
00:04:57.922 --> 00:05:03.047
And she basically, you know she was using attraction marketing.
00:05:03.047 --> 00:05:08.741
You know she was showing me things that I didn't have to the point where I asked her what she did.
00:05:08.741 --> 00:05:14.561
And that was one of the biggest lessons that I ever had was, you know, seeing how she did that.
00:05:14.561 --> 00:05:17.936
I didn't feel pushed, I didn't feel sold to nothing.
00:05:17.936 --> 00:05:23.755
And when I got to her, I was so goddamn ready to absolutely blow it up and I didn't even know what I was doing.
00:05:24.910 --> 00:05:33.957
And you know so she actually was in network marketing and I sat back for about six months once I found out what she did and I was like, no, I don't want to be one of those people.
00:05:33.957 --> 00:05:35.895
No, I'm not selling my friends and family.
00:05:35.895 --> 00:05:37.796
No, you know, not interested.
00:05:37.796 --> 00:05:42.179
And then I just kept watching and watching and you know the results that she was showing.
00:05:42.179 --> 00:05:46.418
You couldn't deny, you know the proof that she was showing of her life changing.
00:05:46.418 --> 00:05:49.614
But she was changing Like she looks.
00:05:49.614 --> 00:05:56.561
It's going to sound crazy, but she looked like she was getting younger and younger and more vibrant and I was like wow, what are you doing?
00:05:57.192 --> 00:05:57.913
Not with the music.
00:05:58.957 --> 00:06:00.331
Yeah, so.
00:06:00.331 --> 00:06:03.201
So I dived in and I had no idea what I was doing.
00:06:03.201 --> 00:06:08.513
But as a mom, you know, the product made total sense to me, the business.
00:06:08.513 --> 00:06:14.615
I was like, oh, this is gibberish, I don't, I don't get it, I don't know how it works, I don't know how to build it.
00:06:14.615 --> 00:06:22.995
But I knew tons of moms that had kids and I knew that the product was something that mothers needed to hear about.
00:06:22.995 --> 00:06:38.517
So naturally, you know, I just started sharing and before I knew it, things blew up pretty quickly and I think about six or eight months later I was one position from the top of the company and I'd built a global team.
00:06:38.870 --> 00:06:41.980
So so much changed in that time for me.
00:06:41.980 --> 00:06:45.740
I had never, ever heard the word personal development.
00:06:45.740 --> 00:06:54.783
I came from a lineage of poverty mindset, Hence why I thought that she had to be a stripper to have money, because it was bred into me.
00:06:54.783 --> 00:06:56.394
I didn't know any different.
00:06:56.394 --> 00:06:59.676
And, yeah, I had a lot to learn.
00:06:59.676 --> 00:07:15.596
And you know that that journey for me, which you know lasted probably about four and a bit years, that journey for me I learned more about myself than I could have ever learned about a pay plan or how to recruit a team.
00:07:15.697 --> 00:07:17.181
And you know all of those things.
00:07:17.181 --> 00:07:21.662
So stepping into that space was my apprenticeship in the online space.
00:07:21.662 --> 00:07:28.818
I nailed attraction, marketing, I nailed branding, I nailed my message and who I wanted to become.
00:07:28.818 --> 00:07:41.639
And then, you know, it was probably about, like I said, that fourish years I found myself in a really, really bad domestic violence relationship and I had lost pretty much everything.
00:07:41.639 --> 00:07:45.841
The company was slowly going backwards because I wasn't putting the time into it.
00:07:45.841 --> 00:07:47.976
You know I'd lost myself.
00:07:47.976 --> 00:07:56.278
So how the hell do I, you know, be a leader and train these people and show them what to do when I can't even keep my own life to you thus?
00:07:56.278 --> 00:08:07.751
So you know, we we had some really massive lessons there and I ended up deciding to shut the company down because when I got my second wind, it was game on.
00:08:07.751 --> 00:08:20.019
And here we are now with lifestyle industries and you know I had to rebuild from the ground up, but I came armed with some pretty amazing tools from that experience.
00:08:21.429 --> 00:08:27.066
So you've had quite a few pivots or turning points then along the road.
00:08:27.587 --> 00:08:29.532
Yeah, definitely, and I think it was.
00:08:29.532 --> 00:08:44.679
You know, like I said, I understood that not everything is forever and that journey for me ended because it was supposed to and like, oh, why would you leave, you know, earning thousands of dollars a month?
00:08:44.679 --> 00:08:47.777
And like, because you get to a point where you know you're made for more.
00:08:47.777 --> 00:08:54.659
You know, and you get to a point where you you go, hey, I can work smarter, not harder.
00:08:54.659 --> 00:08:59.880
You know, and anyone that's listening you know that's in network marketing will understand that.
00:08:59.880 --> 00:09:08.779
You know there is this Steve Murrow around it being time freedom and financial freedom, and you know we buy into those things because we desperately want it.
00:09:08.779 --> 00:09:12.517
But when I got there, I realized that I wanted more.
00:09:12.517 --> 00:09:19.655
You know, I wanted more freedom, I wanted more time, but also a bit of a rebel and I really don't like rules.
00:09:19.655 --> 00:09:20.731
So I hated that.
00:09:20.731 --> 00:09:32.197
I couldn't say certain things and you know I couldn't share this and that was a real problem for me because I knew that I needed to be able to tell people the truth, so I needed to be my own boss.
00:09:32.197 --> 00:09:38.141
Basically, that was way too many rules if I stayed, if I stayed where I was.
00:09:38.141 --> 00:09:55.438
So we did, we massively pivoted, but the reason, a big reason why I pivoted, like I said, was I knew I was built for more, but I had seen over those four years, so many gaps in the online space and the hardest thing for me was watching people give up on their dreams.
00:09:55.438 --> 00:09:57.692
So hard.
00:09:57.833 --> 00:10:01.182
To speak to a woman one day and she's pumped.
00:10:01.182 --> 00:10:04.538
She's so excited about what's potentially possible.
00:10:04.538 --> 00:10:07.077
And then she asked her husband, who says no, you can't.
00:10:07.077 --> 00:10:12.516
Or she lets doubt creep in, or she tells herself you know, I can't do this, you know.
00:10:12.516 --> 00:10:18.399
Or she puts her children what she thinks is first, but actually she's being lost.
00:10:18.399 --> 00:10:26.017
So you know so many of these things and it was so incredibly frustrating that I thought I'm going to take all of these gaps that I've seen.
00:10:26.017 --> 00:10:33.958
You know, hey, we've got leaders teaching us how to build businesses, but they're literally just working it out one chapter ahead of you.
00:10:33.958 --> 00:10:35.613
There's no idea what you're doing.
00:10:36.115 --> 00:10:37.659
Yeah, that's true.
00:10:38.171 --> 00:10:38.874
And that's fine.
00:10:38.874 --> 00:10:48.914
And then you've got you know gaps in the way that you do business, you know systems or lack of, and I just, I don't know it.
00:10:48.914 --> 00:10:59.637
Just it's like it all just kind of came, came forth for me and I was like whoa, I know exactly why people aren't succeeding online and it's because there is an exact formula.
00:10:59.637 --> 00:11:07.798
There is, you know, in anyone that says that there is and is full of it, there is an exact formula and I've proved this now three times over.
00:11:07.798 --> 00:11:17.581
So I started the network marketing company, blew it up, started this company, blew it up, and I started another one that has ended up in a super retail chain over here.
00:11:17.581 --> 00:11:34.709
So one of our really, really massive stores, you know, like you know equipment, Walmart or Costco, you know, and that wasn't an accident, you know, although I'm like oh, my God, it's not an accident.
00:11:34.730 --> 00:11:34.789
Now.
00:11:34.789 --> 00:11:39.698
This is the third time you've done it so and that's just putting those wheels in motion.
00:11:39.698 --> 00:11:43.419
The first time, it took me 18 months to do it in total.
00:11:43.419 --> 00:11:45.553
The second time it took me.
00:11:45.553 --> 00:11:48.640
So it took me 18 months to create a six figure business.
00:11:48.640 --> 00:11:53.639
The second time, it took me seven months to create six figure months.
00:11:53.639 --> 00:12:08.567
The third time round, it took us two years to manufacture the product, but it only took no-transcript a week to land that deal, and that's a quarter of a million dollar shipment every single time.
00:12:08.567 --> 00:12:11.333
So it's absolutely insane.
00:12:11.365 --> 00:12:32.814
I don't say that to impress people, but to impress upon them that when you can work out the exact structure of what's needed and these are all very different areas You're talking network marketing, you're talking digital marketing and then you're talking retail very, very different areas and I applied that same formula every time and have hundreds of my clients and it works.
00:12:32.814 --> 00:12:37.790
So this is why I'm so passionate now about sharing the power of.
00:12:37.790 --> 00:12:42.231
What was the difference to go from 18 months to seven months?
00:12:42.231 --> 00:12:46.288
What happened, what changed in that time, was what I got obsessed with.
00:12:47.492 --> 00:12:53.855
Yeah, that's crazy, and I mean you have the data right, like you have this data now to say this works.
00:12:53.855 --> 00:13:01.370
Oh, maybe there was something in that time that didn't work and you changed it or modified it or removed it or did whatever, and it sped things up for you.
00:13:01.764 --> 00:13:05.363
Oh, there was so much that didn't work and it still is right.
00:13:05.363 --> 00:13:10.909
Like I don't want to be listening and thinking that I'm this fairy godmother, that, just what do I say?
00:13:10.909 --> 00:13:13.010
That works right.
00:13:13.010 --> 00:13:26.694
But I'm so I've removed so much emotion now from doing business that I make smart decisions and I make quick decisions, very, very quick.
00:13:26.694 --> 00:13:38.451
I don't even have time to think about it before I'm like yep, let's do it right, because if I don't jump, I've got five to 10 seconds before my brain is gonna be like oh, you probably shouldn't do that.
00:13:38.451 --> 00:13:41.271
Oh, what if it goes wrong?
00:13:41.271 --> 00:13:41.813
Right?
00:13:42.746 --> 00:13:43.350
It's so hard.
00:13:44.546 --> 00:13:44.867
Yeah.
00:13:44.867 --> 00:13:53.815
So when you say that and you said a few things now where I'm just in my head mindset and I'm wondering, this is not even in the question.
00:13:53.815 --> 00:14:02.820
So this is just like now coming to me how much of what you do is your mindset and your positivity.
00:14:02.820 --> 00:14:09.148
And when you said when you first started out you kind of thought negative about how could that happen to that person.
00:14:09.148 --> 00:14:21.054
Or if you are thinking about starting a business or doing something and people say, oh, you shouldn't do that or like are you sure that's gonna work, how much of that really affected you.
00:14:22.564 --> 00:14:26.028
In the start in network marketing it was like oh my God.
00:14:26.028 --> 00:14:26.910
She said no.
00:14:26.910 --> 00:14:33.230
Yeah, it floored me for days because like, why wouldn't you wanna do what I'm doing?
00:14:33.230 --> 00:14:33.511
Do this.
00:14:34.153 --> 00:14:34.394
Yes.
00:14:34.884 --> 00:14:36.331
It's changed my life, you know.
00:14:36.331 --> 00:14:39.713
But I was moving at the speed of light.
00:14:39.713 --> 00:14:44.891
So I realized very, very quickly that not everybody's gonna wanna come with me.
00:14:44.891 --> 00:14:49.254
And I'm speaking to the people that understand.
00:14:49.254 --> 00:14:53.371
And the ones that don't understand it's because they're not quite ready yet.
00:14:53.371 --> 00:15:00.150
So it's a blessing that they're not ready, because even if I skull dragged them with me, they're not gonna get it.
00:15:00.150 --> 00:15:05.708
Yeah, exactly so it just became really apparent to me that it was like are you keen?
00:15:05.708 --> 00:15:07.375
Yes, no, Okay, great, let's go.
00:15:07.704 --> 00:15:09.197
You know do you wanna have a look at what I'm doing?
00:15:09.197 --> 00:15:10.009
Yes, no, let's go.
00:15:10.009 --> 00:15:21.752
You know, and you'll remember, when I started, it was totally okay to be sending cold DMs to people saying that you were building a team of powerhouse women and you're looking for more, and their profile looks amazing.
00:15:21.752 --> 00:15:24.572
It worked, yeah, oh well, so.
00:15:24.612 --> 00:15:25.214
Yeah, exactly.
00:15:25.584 --> 00:15:25.906
Right.
00:15:25.906 --> 00:15:32.052
So for me, that was my only focus every single day was you know who am I speaking to?
00:15:32.052 --> 00:15:37.126
How many people's lives can I you know what I'm gonna say change?
00:15:37.126 --> 00:15:39.188
Right, it's a little bit cliche, but you know it's.
00:15:39.188 --> 00:15:41.491
How many people need to see what I'm doing?
00:15:42.064 --> 00:15:50.153
Because for me, when I changed and I went into the network marketing, it allowed me to not have someone raising my children.
00:15:50.153 --> 00:15:53.171
You know, I just dropped them to daycare anymore.
00:15:53.171 --> 00:15:57.875
You know, I bought my first really nice car.
00:15:57.875 --> 00:16:15.509
You know, I quickly became a single mom, and still am now, and I've been able to provide the most amazing opportunities for my kids, but the best one out of that apart from the Bali holidays that they thrive on now because they're spoiled.
00:16:15.509 --> 00:16:28.111
But you know, the best part was that, instead of being the parent that was like you need to do this and you need to get a good job and you need to become a lawyer I was like do you know what you need to do?
00:16:28.111 --> 00:16:33.230
You need to learn high paying skills in the online space and then you can do whatever you want.
00:16:33.824 --> 00:16:34.870
You want exactly.
00:16:35.625 --> 00:16:42.766
And I got to show them what driven, motivated and badass looked like you know, and that was.
00:16:42.766 --> 00:16:50.971
They've seen the good, the bad and the ugly you know, and teaching them entrepreneurship, I think, is probably the best gift I could have ever given.
00:16:52.134 --> 00:16:58.048
Yeah, I love that I always talk about my career path and journey and whatnot.
00:16:58.048 --> 00:17:04.235
Came from a family of entrepreneurs in the 70s and 80s, when that wasn't really a thing.
00:17:04.235 --> 00:17:08.490
I mean, people didn't like often just be like I have an idea and do it.
00:17:08.490 --> 00:17:11.230
And I didn't even realize.
00:17:11.230 --> 00:17:14.210
When I was in high school and you know, you're like what are you gonna do with your life?
00:17:14.210 --> 00:17:17.649
I didn't even realize being an entrepreneur was something I could do.
00:17:17.649 --> 00:17:26.132
I'm like well, I have to go to school or get a job or get a trade or whatever it is, because that's how I'll make a living.
00:17:26.132 --> 00:17:27.730
And I did that.
00:17:27.785 --> 00:17:34.471
I went to university, I got a degree, I got a job, I got another job and then I was like why am I not doing this for myself?
00:17:34.471 --> 00:17:52.332
Became an entrepreneur but I took, you know, not a long path, but a path where I think now you showing your kids, people listening to the podcast, whatever it is they know if there's something that I love and I'm passionate about and I'm good at it, I can make that into my career.
00:17:52.706 --> 00:17:55.711
Oh gosh, yeah, yeah yeah, definitely, it's life changing.
00:17:56.125 --> 00:17:56.727
My eldest.
00:17:56.727 --> 00:18:02.551
Actually, she's obsessed with turtles and at six years old, you know, she launched her first business.
00:18:02.551 --> 00:18:12.531
And this was before plastic bags were, you know, starting to kind of be removed and she had these tote bags made and they had a big turtle on them.
00:18:12.945 --> 00:18:20.148
And then, you know I'm not quite sure how much, you know, I don't want to know how much of a mum funded, but anyway, it wasn't.
00:18:20.148 --> 00:18:23.875
The point was the fact that she took an idea and she rolled with it.
00:18:23.875 --> 00:18:30.596
She then jumped on my Facebook, leveraged my audience being this little blonde kid.
00:18:30.596 --> 00:18:46.069
She told them all about what she was doing and why she was doing it and why they should jump on board, and I didn't help her with any of her speech, you know, to thousands of people globally and she sold out overnight globally.
00:18:47.131 --> 00:18:47.632
That's wild.
00:18:47.632 --> 00:18:52.605
I mean people spend months creating products and try to market them and never sell out.
00:18:52.605 --> 00:18:54.350
That's fantastic.
00:18:54.551 --> 00:18:57.339
The reason she had success was because it came from the heart.
00:18:57.339 --> 00:20:14.139
She shared the story and she said she shared why she'd get on board.
00:20:14.139 --> 00:20:18.467
And you know people were like why wouldn't I, why wouldn't I?
00:20:18.467 --> 00:20:20.772
I wouldn't I back what she's doing you?
00:20:20.812 --> 00:20:21.432
No and again.
00:20:22.383 --> 00:20:25.479
It was one of those moments I was like I should be taking notes right now.
00:20:25.479 --> 00:20:31.820
Yeah, it just came so naturally to her because you know if I said, well, what are you gonna talk about?
00:20:31.820 --> 00:20:39.670
So I'm gonna tell them what I'm doing and you know it's so crazy and it's so simple, but guess how many people out there aren't telling anybody what they do?
00:20:39.670 --> 00:20:41.744
Yeah, so true.
00:20:41.744 --> 00:20:44.271
Yeah, they're upset that nobody's doing it with them.
00:20:44.271 --> 00:20:48.340
So yeah, it's, it's crazy and it's because we're getting our own way.
00:20:49.843 --> 00:20:58.986
Yeah, and I think too a lot of people when they do start doing something and either they're trying to get people to know about them or maybe they found some success.
00:20:58.986 --> 00:21:09.873
Yeah, they don't want it to appear that there may be boasting or like, oh look at me living this life and that people won't Like that right, that that will turn people off.
00:21:09.873 --> 00:21:11.040
But I think it's the opposite.
00:21:11.040 --> 00:21:19.674
I think the more people that know about you and your business and your lifestyle and everything, the more people that resonate with it 100%.
00:21:19.875 --> 00:21:23.810
And you know, in the early days I showed all of it, you know, right down to.
00:21:23.810 --> 00:21:26.360
You know, when I first started the money wasn't there.
00:21:26.360 --> 00:21:30.071
You know, like how do you ship the lifestyle when the money's not there?
00:21:30.071 --> 00:21:37.605
And I used to go into Pandora and I put on a ring and I take a photo and I'd be like, damn, I know where my next bonus is going.
00:21:37.605 --> 00:21:43.079
And people still got excited to come with me because I wasn't talking about my situation.
00:21:43.079 --> 00:21:46.207
Now I was now where I was going and then.
00:21:46.307 --> 00:21:52.411
I buy the ring when I could, you know, and I remember the first ring was 199 dollars and I couldn't afford it.
00:21:52.411 --> 00:21:57.143
I couldn't afford it and I thought to myself I'm gonna work for that, you know, and I did.
00:21:57.143 --> 00:22:01.632
I bought it and you know, now it's something that my daughter wears, but you know it's.
00:22:01.632 --> 00:22:12.440
I think it's about, you know, setting those little goals and remembering that the minute you put someone else on a pedestal, you put yourself in a pit because you think you can do it.
00:22:12.921 --> 00:22:14.266
You know and so true.
00:22:14.446 --> 00:22:19.264
Yeah, and I think that that has to stop, because I mean, I did it, I did it.
00:22:19.264 --> 00:22:25.030
I used to look at people and be like, oh my god, I'll never be like that, you know, and now I have the presence of mine.
00:22:25.781 --> 00:22:27.929
Yeah exactly, exactly.
00:22:27.929 --> 00:22:31.120
Yeah, that's so true mindset is huge.
00:22:31.461 --> 00:22:32.785
It's, it's so huge.
00:22:32.785 --> 00:22:49.271
And the day that I realized the more money I invest in myself, the more this is gonna grow, was when the game changed, whereas I think too many people are thinking well, but if, but, if I spend that, you know, that's the, that money's gone.
00:22:49.271 --> 00:22:55.482
It's like no, it's not, you know an investment, not an expense 100%.
00:22:55.482 --> 00:22:58.273
So it's a big mindset shift, especially when you don't have the money.
00:22:58.653 --> 00:23:02.420
You know especially when it's money, it's scary, it's really really scary.
00:23:02.420 --> 00:23:09.445
But if you commit to the end result and there is no plan B, how can it fail?
00:23:10.742 --> 00:23:11.223
Yeah, that's true.
00:23:11.223 --> 00:23:15.440
I just received a book as a gift from someone called Rich Dad, Poor Dad.
00:23:15.440 --> 00:23:17.767
I' yet, I will just prefaces.
00:23:17.767 --> 00:23:32.634
I haven't read it yet, but it's a lot about yeah, it's a lot about mindset and it's a lot about I know at the beginning you talked about growing up and how you're, maybe your family, thought about money or success and how really it is all in our heads.
00:23:32.634 --> 00:23:42.443
It's all in our heads and how we think about money and success that we actually have money and have success or we don't, right 100% it's.
00:23:42.643 --> 00:23:49.222
It's you are handed your parents belief system and, yes, you shift.
00:23:49.222 --> 00:23:54.413
That you're gonna be them and that was enough for me to be like I'm not doing it.
00:23:54.413 --> 00:24:01.882
I'm gonna change that, because I watched my parents struggle and still now you know it's.
00:24:01.882 --> 00:24:10.442
It has to change and I think time is moving so quickly now that it has to shift even quicker than what it ever happens, you know.
00:24:10.442 --> 00:24:13.852
So, yeah, mindset huge, every it's an everyday job.
00:24:14.961 --> 00:24:15.944
Agreed, I totally agree.
00:24:15.944 --> 00:24:20.280
Okay, I want to get into ecosystem automation we talked about at the beginning.
00:24:20.280 --> 00:24:25.713
This is your like, your jam, fully, yeah, your baby.
00:24:25.713 --> 00:24:30.508
So first of all, just let the listeners know what like.
00:24:30.508 --> 00:24:32.071
What is ecosystem automation?
00:24:32.071 --> 00:24:32.732
Because I probably like.
00:24:32.732 --> 00:24:33.975
What the heck are we talking about here?
00:24:34.421 --> 00:24:37.548
Yes, and I love that because now I can share that with you.
00:24:37.548 --> 00:24:40.093
So ecosystem automation.
00:24:40.093 --> 00:24:45.554
So, basically, when you're Moving into your business, you're gonna need a few things.
00:24:45.554 --> 00:24:50.832
You're gonna need a website, you're gonna need some email marketing and it emails.
00:24:50.832 --> 00:24:54.528
You know, some people might have an online course.
00:24:54.528 --> 00:25:03.054
So what happens is you go and get Wordpress for your website and then you go and get like C or something for your email marketing.
00:25:03.054 --> 00:25:07.449
You might jump into Kajabi for your your online courses.
00:25:07.449 --> 00:25:09.213
Right, yeah, off you go.
00:25:09.213 --> 00:25:12.180
Okay, because, yep, because, why wouldn't you?
00:25:12.180 --> 00:25:13.564
But what?
00:25:13.564 --> 00:25:14.807
Nobody's teaching?
00:25:14.807 --> 00:25:16.973
And this was a really hard lesson.
00:25:16.973 --> 00:25:19.340
That's why I'm so passionate about sharing it.
00:25:19.340 --> 00:25:31.528
I had some really sore points in it was that nobody told me that I needed to be making decisions from the woman that I was becoming, not the one that I was was.
00:25:32.281 --> 00:25:37.395
Yes and I was like I need this and I need one of them and one of them.
00:25:37.395 --> 00:25:47.307
And then, you know, we had some massive, massive months and it near on killed me because you know there was, you know crazy things going on.
00:25:47.307 --> 00:25:54.100
There was, you know my systems went set up properly and that's when I went okay, wow, like this needs to change really, really quickly.
00:25:54.100 --> 00:26:07.660
So ecosystem came into the game really quite early on for me and it was where I I knew that they had to be a way To bring everything together, because all of those things work now.
00:26:07.660 --> 00:26:28.605
But if you're making decisions on the now and you're not building your company with your five to ten year vision in mind, you've you've lost the game because You're playing small be, you're not working smart and see, you haven't thought about what's gonna happen when you scale right whereas people go.
00:26:28.605 --> 00:26:28.907
Oh yes.
00:26:29.600 --> 00:26:30.403
Do some now?
00:26:30.403 --> 00:26:45.614
No, it won't do for now, because when you get mid-flight and you've got clients coming in left, right and center, the worst thing that you could ever do is stop your systems, pull them apart and rebuild them.
00:26:45.614 --> 00:26:47.807
That will cost you your company.
00:26:47.807 --> 00:26:54.514
So it's about really get people, getting people to understand that you need to do these things really early on.
00:26:54.514 --> 00:26:59.625
You also need to reverse engineer your ideal outcome.
00:26:59.625 --> 00:27:09.632
So this is why I ended up branding the company lifestyle industries, because I wanted to work with people that were really clear on the lifestyle that they wanted to create.
00:27:09.632 --> 00:27:13.402
So, once you're clear on the lifestyle that you want to create, cool.
00:27:13.402 --> 00:27:17.009
There's a few options that you've got now with the business that you're gonna build.
00:27:17.009 --> 00:27:20.828
Are you gonna retire out of your business?
00:27:20.828 --> 00:27:22.754
Like you know what, like who cares?
00:27:22.754 --> 00:27:24.320
You've got a team that might take it over.
00:27:24.320 --> 00:27:26.850
Are you gonna retire out of the business?
00:27:26.850 --> 00:27:27.855
Burn it to the ground?
00:27:27.855 --> 00:27:28.417
Who cares?
00:27:28.417 --> 00:27:29.140
You've done your time.
00:27:29.140 --> 00:27:30.991
Are you gonna sell it?
00:27:30.991 --> 00:27:45.723
Or are you going to retire into it, meaning it's a well oiled machine that you can just breeze in and out of as you feel the need, because you actually don't want to leave it right, and that's what you want to be able to do.
00:27:45.723 --> 00:27:52.182
Now, if that's the case and that's something that the listeners can ask themselves, like, what's your exit strategy?
00:27:52.182 --> 00:27:56.526
Because if you don't have one, you'll give yourself a full-time job.
00:27:56.526 --> 00:28:06.668
You actually won't be able to leave, because if you haven't set the company up correctly, it will rely on you as its blood source.
00:28:07.556 --> 00:28:19.774
So you know and that's the short version of ecosystem, automation is getting everything that you need now and it could just be really small.
00:28:19.774 --> 00:28:22.063
Like, you need a website and you need an email.
00:28:22.063 --> 00:28:29.084
So if you book an email, you need some email marketing just to send off some little bits and pieces and you need a booking system, right?
00:28:29.084 --> 00:28:38.646
So in itself would have been costing you probably close to you know $500 to $1,000 a month in subscriptions all over the place, right?
00:28:38.646 --> 00:28:43.286
So again, it's about working really smart, lowering the costs.
00:28:43.435 --> 00:28:52.266
So, especially when your company's new, you need to be lowering those out goings so that you can then afford to be putting more money into the company to grow.
00:28:52.266 --> 00:29:00.082
But also you need to be setting it up really smart, because you know what your end result is and that's what you're working towards.
00:29:00.082 --> 00:29:07.649
So the ecosystem allows you to start off really small and have your website, your courses, your emails, your booking system.
00:29:07.649 --> 00:29:18.824
But then there's over 47 applications inside the software that allow you to go into text message marketing and chat bots and you know all this crazy, crazy stuff.
00:29:18.824 --> 00:29:32.915
So I've continued to be able to scale my company very, very quickly because I'm not worried about learning how to get this to talk to this and how do I use this term, and you know like, oh great.
00:29:33.136 --> 00:29:36.735
I've got a description that I need to sit here for four days and work out how to use.
00:29:36.735 --> 00:29:40.166
I don't need to do any of that because it's all in one place.
00:29:40.166 --> 00:29:44.847
I don't have any problems with things not connecting or disconnecting.
00:29:44.847 --> 00:29:46.658
You know, Zapier, it's not.
00:29:46.658 --> 00:29:52.426
I don't have any of that because everything inside those 47 applications all work together.
00:29:52.506 --> 00:29:54.089
So you know, works so.
00:29:56.517 --> 00:30:02.889
And unless you've lived through this, you don't understand how important this is.
00:30:02.889 --> 00:30:05.923
First of all, your exit strategy.
00:30:05.923 --> 00:30:07.865
I literally opened.
00:30:07.865 --> 00:30:09.375
I had a brick and mortar clothing store.
00:30:09.375 --> 00:30:15.148
I opened for business and on like my second week, someone asked me what my exit strategy was.
00:30:15.148 --> 00:30:18.184
And I was like I just opened, like what?
00:30:18.184 --> 00:30:24.813
And yeah, and then your first few months or a year, you just want to keep your doors open, right.
00:30:24.813 --> 00:30:31.848
So you're right, you build the website and you're like we can do a better website later, or we can do, or we can add that on after.
00:30:31.848 --> 00:30:38.363
But what you don't realize now, exactly, yeah, just need something to get going.
00:30:38.363 --> 00:30:53.293
And what you don't realize is you're right, when you start adding all of these independent systems or applications or whatever they are, onto what you currently use, you're now managing.
00:30:53.293 --> 00:30:57.745
Yeah, how many things Tons it's.
00:30:57.745 --> 00:30:58.868
They're all different.
00:30:58.868 --> 00:31:00.031
They don't talk to each other.
00:31:00.031 --> 00:31:04.242
Yeah, time, right, it's so much time.
00:31:05.160 --> 00:31:12.772
But also you've had to become a website expert, you've had to become an email marketing expert, and if you aren't, you've had to hire one.
00:31:12.772 --> 00:31:13.295
That's right.
00:31:14.523 --> 00:31:15.388
Yes, you're paying someone.
00:31:15.590 --> 00:31:16.355
Yeah, you need a website expert.
00:31:16.355 --> 00:31:18.375
You need someone that can build your booking system.
00:31:18.375 --> 00:31:27.047
You need somebody that can build your online courses, checkouts, chat Bots, all of these things like you're going to need someone to come in and do that for you.
00:31:27.047 --> 00:31:29.682
And then obviously you've got the cost of paying.
00:31:29.682 --> 00:31:34.246
Then You've got the cost of paying for the subscriptions for these as well.
00:31:34.246 --> 00:31:47.798
But what I think happened is again, when somebody has a massive influx of new clientele because you hit jackpot and you got your audience right, what happened was that $100 a month subscription.
00:31:47.798 --> 00:32:00.031
Because of the amount of subscribers that came through and the amount of new enrollments that they had, it went up to almost $5,000 a month to keep running.
00:32:00.431 --> 00:32:04.736
Yes, what's your choice but to pay the money, because?
00:32:04.796 --> 00:32:07.564
if you don't they'll pull your whole system from underneath you.
00:32:07.564 --> 00:32:13.147
So you've got its lack of control as well, I think is the big piece.
00:32:13.147 --> 00:32:31.105
So that was a huge gap that I saw in the online space was leaders that were getting to $10,000 or $20,000 a month and everything was great, but in order for them to scale, they needed to work more, because they had to have a system that would allow.
00:32:31.105 --> 00:32:38.355
The system wasn't doing any of the heavy lifting for them, so that was a huge, huge lesson.
00:32:38.355 --> 00:32:47.890
So that then pushed me to okay well, if I've now got the ecosystem, how do I now double the amount of people that are seeing this ecosystem?
00:32:47.890 --> 00:32:57.309
That was a big piece, and that's where AI for organically generation came in for me as well and completely changed the game.
00:32:59.036 --> 00:33:04.208
Yeah, it's like, just when you've got one thing figure out, the next thing come along.
00:33:04.455 --> 00:33:05.639
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:33:05.639 --> 00:33:10.653
But I think you know, for us we've been doing AI now for two and a half years, before AI was the new black.
00:33:10.653 --> 00:33:11.375
You know it's cool.
00:33:11.375 --> 00:33:14.345
Yeah, I love that.
00:33:14.345 --> 00:33:29.101
You know what I feel like I got a massive head start, huge head start in that game because, you know, I was able to test and measure while people were still being what's the word I mean?
00:33:29.101 --> 00:33:36.390
People were still like, oh no, like AI is not, like I'm not going to use in my business, oh, I'm not using AI, I'm not doing it.
00:33:36.390 --> 00:33:40.905
You know I'm over here, learn it, learn it, learn it quick, quick, quick, quick, quick, you know.
00:33:40.905 --> 00:33:48.363
And then by the time that everyone went, oh all right, I'll jump on the bandwagon, I was like I'm already 100 steps ahead, you know you're already going.
00:33:48.840 --> 00:33:50.254
Yeah, but you can't do that.
00:33:50.937 --> 00:33:55.375
I think people are replying that same mentality to everything and they're jumping on every bandwagon.
00:33:55.375 --> 00:34:05.549
You know they've got shiny object syndrome, yeah, and you know it's really about, like, doing your research and making sure that.
00:34:05.549 --> 00:34:08.335
Is this going to benefit my end result?
00:34:08.335 --> 00:34:12.355
Is this going to help me get to where I'm heading faster?
00:34:12.355 --> 00:34:14.798
Is it going to help me collapse time, you know?
00:34:14.798 --> 00:34:16.335
Is it going to help me reduce costs?
00:34:16.335 --> 00:34:17.177
Is it going to?
00:34:17.177 --> 00:34:22.295
You know all of those things you know, and I think a lot of people go, oh no, but I'm, you know I'm killing it.
00:34:22.295 --> 00:34:31.585
Now I'm having this success and I am abundant, whereas I massively believe that abundance is actually being really, really, really strategic.
00:34:31.585 --> 00:34:51.869
Not necessarily smart with your money, like you can definitely make some crazy purchases and, you know, do wild things, but you've got a strategy behind why you work the way that you do which allows real abundance, because you know you're not just wasting it, throwing it out absolutely everywhere for no reason.
00:34:52.992 --> 00:34:55.684
Yep, and as you talked to what before, you know where you're going.
00:34:55.684 --> 00:34:58.012
You know what your strategy is.
00:34:58.012 --> 00:35:00.577
So, right, are you writing out your business?
00:35:00.577 --> 00:35:01.460
Are you selling it?
00:35:01.460 --> 00:35:03.130
Are you one day?
00:35:03.130 --> 00:35:03.932
Just that's it.
00:35:03.932 --> 00:35:08.563
You know what direction you're going into so that you can make decisions based on that.
00:35:08.949 --> 00:35:09.791
Yeah, 100%.
00:35:09.791 --> 00:35:14.282
Otherwise you're throwing spaghetti at a wall and you're just hoping to God that it sticks, dicks.
00:35:14.282 --> 00:35:27.391
And when it doesn't stick it's going to hurt you because you'll be mid-flight earning money by then and anything that stops you or slows you down is going to hurt you for quite some time.
00:35:27.391 --> 00:35:32.853
You know you stop an early business in its takeoff phase for a week, it'll hurt you for a month.
00:35:32.853 --> 00:35:58.420
You know like you have a few months worth of money in the bank to float your company while you go and pull it apart and rebuild it now with your CEO hat on, with your knowing what your end result is and with your mindset that you now make decisions from the woman or man that you're becoming, not the one that you are yes.
00:36:00.069 --> 00:36:02.318
And I think if you can get all of those three things right, you'll be fine.
00:36:03.889 --> 00:36:10.293
So for people listening that are like, okay, I need to do this, I need to automate, I need to figure this out now.
00:36:10.293 --> 00:36:16.556
Either they're just starting out or they're in business and they're like, oh boy, I need to backtrack to do this.
00:36:16.556 --> 00:36:20.804
How do they develop these systems in their businesses?
00:36:21.429 --> 00:36:25.299
I mean, it's probably not something that people could just go out and do themselves.
00:36:25.299 --> 00:36:28.317
I definitely recommend having guidance on that.
00:36:28.317 --> 00:36:37.932
I don't actually really know of anyone else in the world that's doing this on the level that we've been able to successfully deliver for our clients.
00:36:37.932 --> 00:36:49.076
So you know, I think it's really about again, you need to know what it is that you want to create, because otherwise you're going to be oh, I need this, and this is an automated system as well.
00:36:49.176 --> 00:36:52.090
You know, and you'll probably get shiny objects in drone with that as well.
00:36:52.090 --> 00:37:00.944
So I think it's about sitting down with somebody who knows what they're on about, who knows what this looks like, and really crafting out a strategy.
00:37:00.944 --> 00:37:06.318
That's your personal blueprint, because how your business is built is going to look different to mine.
00:37:06.318 --> 00:37:21.507
So that's the key is don't go and look out there at what Susan's got, because Susan's system might not match your end result, and I think you know there's way too many people out there that are giving advice, especially in Facebook groups and things like that.
00:37:21.507 --> 00:37:25.161
Oh, I need a system, you know, that can help me with my online courses.
00:37:25.242 --> 00:37:27.451
Oh my God, go to Kajabi, get Kajabi.
00:37:27.451 --> 00:37:28.473
I've got Kajabi.
00:37:28.473 --> 00:37:30.278
Everyone's like Kajabi, Kajabi, Kajabi.
00:37:30.278 --> 00:37:32.353
Right, because they've got amazing marketing.
00:37:32.353 --> 00:37:39.480
They've got millions and millions of people to be throwing at them, so everybody goes well, this must be the best.
00:37:39.480 --> 00:37:41.987
Well, no, right, it's.
00:37:41.987 --> 00:37:54.295
Maybe, maybe it is, maybe it's not, but have you made the decision based on your end result, or are you making the decision on 40 people that are recommended in a Facebook group because they don't know any different?
00:37:55.257 --> 00:38:02.440
That's right, yeah, and it's so funny too, because we talk so much about when you aren't sure what to do.
00:38:02.440 --> 00:38:05.891
It's help from someone that does know what to do.
00:38:05.891 --> 00:38:10.023
Yeah, right, yeah, like that's so important.
00:38:10.023 --> 00:38:14.114
I'm not doing my taxes, I'm having an accountant to do my taxes.
00:38:14.114 --> 00:38:17.670
There's a reason, right, because they know what they're doing.
00:38:17.670 --> 00:38:25.333
So for me to try to figure out how, what's the system I need and how to do it I don't know about that.
00:38:25.574 --> 00:38:30.117
Yeah, I think people are starting to invest, you know, but I'd have to pay for this, you know.
00:38:30.117 --> 00:38:44.054
So, straight away, they've already made the decision before they've even given themselves time to actually, you know, sit with it is, oh, but I'd have to pay something and I don't have any money, you know, and it's like, well, again, you've already lost the game with that mindset.
00:38:44.054 --> 00:38:48.393
So I mean, I didn't have the money for my first you know, investment either.
00:38:48.393 --> 00:38:50.819
I beg borrowed and sealed for it.
00:38:50.819 --> 00:39:03.679
You know, it was like I have to do this, I have to make this happen, you know, and now investing is like, oh, it still hurts, you know, because your investment starts getting larger and larger.
00:39:03.679 --> 00:39:14.895
But, you know, I've never seen an investment that I have made, even the ones that I thought really I was like, oh my God, that course was really shitty.
00:39:15.677 --> 00:39:21.351
I never, ever invested and not had some type of lesson.
00:39:21.351 --> 00:39:30.061
Even the course that was shitty taught me the program and the structure that I would never put into place inside my company.
00:39:30.061 --> 00:39:33.271
It taught me what really bad customer service looks like.
00:39:33.271 --> 00:39:36.699
It taught me what really bad leadership looks like.
00:39:36.699 --> 00:39:41.422
You know, that was probably one of the best investments that I ever made.
00:39:41.422 --> 00:39:43.190
Did I learn what they were teaching me?
00:39:43.190 --> 00:39:44.472
Not Not at all.
00:39:44.472 --> 00:39:48.461
You know, the lesson that I got out of it was a lot more valuable.
00:39:48.461 --> 00:39:52.177
So I think that too many people think about what if it doesn't work?
00:39:52.177 --> 00:39:58.266
You know, and again, like, if you back yourself and there is no plan B, then it's not an option.
00:39:58.266 --> 00:40:00.313
We don't even speak about it because it's not an option.
00:40:01.929 --> 00:40:05.837
It's so funny about learning lessons people.
00:40:05.837 --> 00:40:13.739
Some people say it failed, but I'm like but what you learned from that will actually likely help you out more.
00:40:14.260 --> 00:40:16.353
Yeah, right 100%.
00:40:16.413 --> 00:40:16.554
I mean.
00:40:16.614 --> 00:40:19.420
I can't tell you how many face down moments I only had.
00:40:19.420 --> 00:40:20.262
One the other day.
00:40:20.262 --> 00:40:21.152
I was in tears.
00:40:21.152 --> 00:40:25.580
I was like, oh, you know, this is all apart.
00:40:25.580 --> 00:40:26.682
Which is crap?
00:40:26.682 --> 00:40:27.911
Right Is this story?
00:40:27.911 --> 00:40:29.435
I was telling myself.
00:40:29.435 --> 00:40:30.378
Oh, my God.
00:40:30.418 --> 00:40:35.760
In your own head yeah, if this doesn't happen, it's going to end me and blah, blah, blah.
00:40:35.780 --> 00:40:37.371
Right Like, sleep it off now.
00:40:37.371 --> 00:40:41.179
Sleep it off, yeah, but it still happens.
00:40:41.179 --> 00:40:54.431
You know, and, like I said, you start to make bigger investments and you know some really scary decisions and and scary doesn't need to be big or expensive, scary is whatever the hell it scares out of you.
00:40:54.531 --> 00:40:56.478
It scares you know you in that moment.
00:40:56.478 --> 00:41:05.311
But for me now is that I look at that and go why do I feel this way, like what's making me feel okay?
00:41:05.311 --> 00:41:06.996
Because I don't think that I can execute.
00:41:06.996 --> 00:41:11.373
Have you executed now on absolutely everything you've ever been on?
00:41:11.373 --> 00:41:13.557
Yes, did it work?
00:41:13.557 --> 00:41:15.721
Yes, okay, cool.
00:41:15.721 --> 00:41:17.770
So how true is it, you know?
00:41:17.770 --> 00:41:22.579
So one question I always ask myself in that moment is is this true?
00:41:22.599 --> 00:41:25.230
Yeah, and that's.
00:41:25.230 --> 00:41:26.393
We go right back to mindset.
00:41:26.393 --> 00:41:29.800
Facts didn't work before.
00:41:29.800 --> 00:41:30.862
It did not work before.
00:41:30.862 --> 00:41:32.231
Live along right.
00:41:32.932 --> 00:41:33.052
It's.
00:41:33.052 --> 00:41:40.453
he only thing that's going to pull you through is is having that unbreakable mindset.
00:41:40.453 --> 00:41:48.759
That's what's going to get you the success that you're chasing, because it's going to get hard, it's going to, it's going to hurt.
00:41:48.759 --> 00:41:55.186
People are going to hurt you, not physically, but you know people, friends, you know friends.
00:41:55.186 --> 00:41:58.498
All of a sudden, you definitely have less.
00:41:59.400 --> 00:42:06.621
You know, I had I heard somebody say you know, it's a lonely journey to the top, and I agree, you know, I do agree.
00:42:06.621 --> 00:42:09.896
And whereas I have other people go, oh my God, no, it's not, and I'm.
00:42:09.896 --> 00:42:24.784
But you know, I think it's about looking at the quality as well, you know, and, and as you start to, you know you, you really do start to change what your circle looks like, and it's not because you think that you're better or any of those things.
00:42:24.784 --> 00:42:32.025
It's because you start to not hold space for a certain energy, because you understand how important it is.
00:42:32.025 --> 00:42:34.748
You know the people that sit at your table.
00:42:34.748 --> 00:42:42.076
You're going to be most like the five people that sit at your table and when somebody said that to me the first time, I was like who sits at my table?
00:42:42.137 --> 00:42:45.929
And then I was like, oh my God holy.
00:42:45.929 --> 00:42:52.942
I was like, oh my God, listen, shuffling right, because I had the girlfriend that was she's.
00:42:52.942 --> 00:42:58.542
She was crazy, right, this woman was so much fun, crazy, but she was a massive drinker.
00:42:58.542 --> 00:43:08.820
She had no goals, you know, she, she was in a rut, she was in a world of pain and I and I looked at myself I was like, wow, you were doing the same stuff, you know.
00:43:08.820 --> 00:43:13.300
So there was lots of little lessons along the way where it was like Mel, you need to stop drinking.
00:43:13.300 --> 00:43:16.346
And that wasn't something that was, you know, an immediate rat.
00:43:16.346 --> 00:43:17.029
I've got a business now.
00:43:17.029 --> 00:43:21.059
I need to stop drinking and I just need to stop being fun and like no no.
00:43:21.359 --> 00:43:24.275
I realized that you don't it's.
00:43:24.275 --> 00:43:34.603
It's costing you more to have a day where you're laying in bed and you can't do anything that's costing you thousands and thousands of dollars, you know.
00:43:34.603 --> 00:43:45.819
So I think over time, if you're really anchored into what you want to create, you will become a better version of yourself every single day, because you'll start to realize the things that you need to put down.
00:43:47.126 --> 00:43:48.408
Yeah, I agree and it's.
00:43:48.408 --> 00:43:56.324
I'm no scientist, but it is kind of scientific If you think of who you surround yourself with and the people that you do things with.
00:43:56.324 --> 00:44:04.324
If you associate with a group of people that are very active, then you're active and you're out doing active things.
00:44:04.324 --> 00:44:32.096
If you associate with people that are serving, you're serving right, like if that's who your friends are, that's what you're doing and you do change when you have a business because, yeah, you would like to have fun, but you're probably really isn't serving, it's the next level of your business or it's maybe it's personal development, self development, whatever it is, and then that's who your people are, the people that are doing the same things.
00:44:32.525 --> 00:44:33.788
But it's the end result.
00:44:33.788 --> 00:44:39.199
You now know what the end result is and humans have heard mentality.
00:44:39.199 --> 00:44:50.300
You only got to look at the online space, right, somebody got an email marketing business where you just have to email people and you get paid like, and you know it's heard mentality.
00:44:50.300 --> 00:44:53.891
All these people rush into this opportunity that's online.
00:44:53.891 --> 00:45:04.107
You know there's one at the moment that people probably seeing about digital marketing courses that you can sell for 100% profit Again heard mentality.
00:45:04.107 --> 00:45:05.349
People are running at it.
00:45:05.411 --> 00:45:09.778
I actually had a girlfriend ring me yesterday and she goes what do you think about this email marketing stuff?
00:45:09.778 --> 00:45:12.835
Oh, no, what do you think about these digital course stuff?
00:45:12.835 --> 00:45:15.324
And I was like what are you asking me?
00:45:15.324 --> 00:45:18.291
She said, well, you know like, do you think it's legit?
00:45:18.291 --> 00:45:21.297
And I said to her I always have my blinkers on.
00:45:21.297 --> 00:45:30.324
You know, like the horses where I always have my blinkers on, and if I'm going to create a product that creates 100% profit, that's because I created it, not because somebody gave it to me.
00:45:30.324 --> 00:45:35.993
So, standing in your own lane, you know I don't watch TV.
00:45:35.993 --> 00:45:36.655
I haven't.
00:45:36.775 --> 00:46:06.304
I couldn't tell you how many years it's been that I don't watch TV because I'm not interested in the herd mentality and that that is huge when you get to that space where I don't care what people are clicking on and getting paid for in the online space, because I know what's real, I know what makes money and I know that if you're constantly looking for the next shiny thing and the next instant gratification and the next little thing, that's gonna all it's going to get your $500.
00:46:06.304 --> 00:46:21.234
Again, you've lost the game because it's not long term thinking, you're not building legacy, you're not building an exit strategy and what will happen is you'll constantly up and then you're down again, and then you're back up again and then you're down again.
00:46:21.355 --> 00:46:27.309
I mean that's a sure way to give yourself PTSD Right.
00:46:27.309 --> 00:46:28.731
It's like business bipolar.
00:46:28.731 --> 00:46:42.176
Yeah, oh yes, I'm doing so good, and what will happen is your, your nervous system will will start to mesh to that and you will start to feel good when things are good and bad when things are bad.
00:46:42.344 --> 00:46:46.672
Things are bad you know, and it's really about finding that level playing field.
00:46:46.672 --> 00:46:49.777
Because I'm level and content, because I know where I'm heading.
00:46:49.777 --> 00:46:51.145
I know where I'm heading.
00:46:51.145 --> 00:46:51.947
Blinkers are on.
00:46:51.947 --> 00:46:53.750
I don't care what Susan's doing.
00:46:53.750 --> 00:46:57.798
I don't care what courses people are building and how they're building them.
00:46:57.798 --> 00:46:59.726
I know what my end result is.
00:46:59.726 --> 00:47:09.940
So I know what's right for my company and I think that's the piece that a lot of people really need to start tapping into is what's right for your company.
00:47:09.940 --> 00:47:18.458
Don't worry about all the noise and there's a lot out there so finding your feet and finding your power in that will change the game.
00:47:18.458 --> 00:47:19.865
I love that.
00:47:20.165 --> 00:47:21.748
I always think about it.
00:47:21.748 --> 00:47:26.858
I call that staying in your lane, like I don't need to go over to this lane because that's not for me.
00:47:26.858 --> 00:47:30.772
I need to stay in my lane because I know where I'm going and I know how I'm going to get there.
00:47:30.932 --> 00:47:32.395
Yeah, and that lane takes you there.
00:47:33.344 --> 00:47:35.469
Yeah, yeah, exactly, yeah, for sure.
00:47:35.489 --> 00:47:39.317
You're not going to get in a lane to go to California.
00:47:39.317 --> 00:47:44.726
You know that you need to go to LA, right, you're not going to be in.
00:47:44.726 --> 00:47:45.688
I don't even know.
00:47:45.688 --> 00:47:54.469
I'm probably talking about two completely different ends of the country, right, I'm not very smart, but yeah, it's like.
00:47:54.469 --> 00:48:03.012
You know, when you get up in the morning and you take your kids to school, there's a certain group that you take to get them to that end result, and it's exactly the same with your company.
00:48:03.012 --> 00:48:04.215
It's really no different.
00:48:05.446 --> 00:48:05.686
It is.
00:48:05.686 --> 00:48:06.587
That's fantastic.
00:48:06.587 --> 00:48:11.335
Are there challenges in developing these systems?
00:48:11.335 --> 00:48:12.757
Maybe it's your mindset.
00:48:12.757 --> 00:48:14.059
Maybe that's your biggest challenge.
00:48:15.306 --> 00:48:19.414
The challenges that I see people have is A making the decision to do it.
00:48:19.414 --> 00:48:23.143
You know the investment to do it Not really.
00:48:23.143 --> 00:48:33.940
I mean, if you try and do it by yourself, oh man, that's going to be I'm not even going to lie that's going to be a gnarly, gnarly trip for you.
00:48:33.940 --> 00:48:46.304
It depends if you're super techie, you might work it out, but you know, I think one of those challenges is what I see is people go yeah, yeah, yeah, I want it.
00:48:46.304 --> 00:48:47.925
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:48:47.925 --> 00:48:50.027
This is yes, this is exactly what we need to do.
00:48:50.027 --> 00:48:50.728
Yes, yes, yes.
00:48:51.248 --> 00:49:20.837
But when they are in a container where somebody holds you accountable every single week, every single week, and we're building foundations you know, we are laying the concrete for the goddamn Eiffel Tower, right and when somebody's holding you accountable like I need you to go and get this for me and we need this documentation and we need to sit down and write your bio and your mission statement and you know all these things, people are like whoa, whoa, this is a lot you know.
00:49:20.837 --> 00:49:28.304
So I think one of the challenges that people have to move past is well, how bad do you actually want it?
00:49:28.304 --> 00:49:30.252
Because you say you want it?
00:49:31.730 --> 00:49:33.114
Yeah, are you willing to put in the work?
00:49:33.404 --> 00:49:43.152
That's it, that's exactly right, and I think there's a very interesting LinkedIn I think it was post where someone had given their company a bad.
00:49:43.152 --> 00:49:51.201
It was a mentorship kind of coaching company had given their company a bad review and saying you know you guarantee this result and it didn't work.
00:49:51.201 --> 00:50:15.775
And they actually had a not a rebuttal, it wasn't directly to that, but just saying you know, we were there to help you, but we require you to put the work in, we require you to come to meetings, we require you to do the homework, do the research, and if you're not willing to do it, no, it's not going to work.
00:50:15.775 --> 00:50:23.219
And, of course, come and say it's right, if you're not going to, if I'm not going to do the work to become a fitness model, I'm not going to become a fitness model.
00:50:23.219 --> 00:50:26.275
So it's the exact same in your business you have to do the work.
00:50:26.545 --> 00:50:30.831
Yeah, and I think there's definitely a lack of responsibility.
00:50:30.831 --> 00:50:38.284
When people get to that place, you know, if it didn't work or they didn't get the results that they wanted, who can I blame?
00:50:38.284 --> 00:50:45.077
It's like, just look in the damn mirror, because that's who needs to take the blame for it.
00:50:45.077 --> 00:50:54.494
So you know, I'm lucky because you know ecosystem automation isn't really something that people dive into, that aren't ready If that makes sense.
00:50:54.494 --> 00:51:01.000
You know we have people that are like, oh my God, this is, this, is, you know, big to build.
00:51:01.000 --> 00:51:05.071
But you know I don't do fear marketing.
00:51:05.071 --> 00:51:08.239
I don't push people into sales, I don't do any of that.
00:51:08.239 --> 00:51:15.347
So when my clients come on board, it's because they reached out to me and they were like we're ready, yeah, we're ready.
00:51:15.347 --> 00:51:19.994
So I'm really, I'm really unlucky for that.
00:51:19.994 --> 00:51:22.458
I mean, I, that's how I frame my marketing.
00:51:22.458 --> 00:51:23.879
I'm very insane?
00:51:25.306 --> 00:51:25.826
I am not.
00:51:25.826 --> 00:51:34.019
I only just put a post up yesterday on Facebook that said, like I have to find it, but it was something like I don't hold space for that.
00:51:34.019 --> 00:51:40.134
I don't hold that mindset that you know how much is your program.
00:51:40.134 --> 00:51:44.199
Well, if that's how you're going to make your decision on your future, you're not right for the program.
00:51:44.885 --> 00:51:55.304
The only thing that matters is how much it is, then it's not right for you because I'm people inside this program are making waves, you know, because of what they're building out.
00:51:55.304 --> 00:52:04.059
So, yeah, I think it's about how you market and I'm not scared to say to somebody I'm sorry, but you're, you're not somebody that I want to work with.
00:52:04.059 --> 00:52:07.732
I'm not afraid to say that and that's for their own good.
00:52:07.732 --> 00:52:20.304
They probably hate me for it, but it's for their own good, because I'm not going to take their money when I know that their mindset's not there yet and they're coming from a place of scarcity or lack and they need to get in because I need this program to work.
00:52:20.304 --> 00:52:24.292
You know I'm not a lead generation company.
00:52:24.292 --> 00:52:25.394
You know I'm not.
00:52:25.394 --> 00:52:31.806
I'm not, you know, going to go and get you 50,000 leads in a week, like that's not what we do.
00:52:31.806 --> 00:52:33.089
We build your foundations.
00:52:33.549 --> 00:52:45.311
So I think it's, you know, standing in your power as the business owner, because at the start you will work with absolutely anybody, because you're like, oh my God, you know I'm standing in my chair and I'm like, yes, what's your niche?
00:52:45.311 --> 00:52:46.695
Everybody, you know, start over top.
00:52:46.695 --> 00:52:52.730
You know you get really, really picky and again, I knew my end result.
00:52:52.730 --> 00:52:58.264
And I remember I don't know who I said it to, but I remember saying I just want to work with people that do cool shit.
00:52:58.264 --> 00:53:00.188
That's what I want to do.
00:53:00.188 --> 00:53:07.284
And now you know, we have race car drivers, we have helicopter companies, we have motocross companies, we've got hotels.
00:53:07.766 --> 00:53:13.257
So I'm forever in the air on the ground, racing or staying at lavish hotels.
00:53:13.257 --> 00:53:19.250
But you know again, I knew, I knew who I wanted to work with.
00:53:19.250 --> 00:53:27.560
So it's a very cool place when you're excited on a Monday because the people you get to hang out with during the week.
00:53:28.885 --> 00:53:32.170
I think the whole episode could be breaking up with the client.
00:53:32.170 --> 00:53:41.295
Or, like you, say, no, that's a whole episode on its own because people are afraid of it, but at the end of the day, it's in both of your benefit.
00:53:41.484 --> 00:53:45.373
Yeah, and I think also with offering payment plans and things like that.
00:53:45.373 --> 00:53:47.717
But if I offer them a payment plan, they'll come on board.
00:53:47.717 --> 00:53:55.697
Yeah, but if you are too lenient and there's no buy in A they're not going to pay you every single week.
00:53:55.697 --> 00:53:59.284
B they're not going to show up because they're not really losing much money anyway.
00:53:59.284 --> 00:54:05.193
So, that's why you know, and again, even for myself, you know the larger investments.
00:54:05.193 --> 00:54:08.498
It makes me go well, are you going to do the work?
00:54:09.484 --> 00:54:15.306
Yeah, of course, the more you're on the line, the more you're putting into it, right 100%.
00:54:15.487 --> 00:54:35.103
That's a winner's mindset, that's a success mindset, because then you go in, take my money, take $50,000 for a program, because I know that I'll turn it into $550,000, you know, and you start to really get wow, maybe, maybe, not everyone does, but I start to get like come on, then let's do it, let's do it yeah.
00:54:35.103 --> 00:54:37.071
Show me what you've got.
00:54:37.071 --> 00:54:40.324
You know, because I'm not going to back out.
00:54:40.324 --> 00:54:45.036
Yeah, so if they tell me that we're going to get these results, then I'm all in.
00:54:45.985 --> 00:54:46.728
You're in exactly.
00:54:46.728 --> 00:54:47.469
I love it.
00:54:47.469 --> 00:54:51.476
Now do you have a most important lesson that you can share with people?
00:54:54.048 --> 00:54:56.152
Most important lesson.
00:54:56.152 --> 00:55:00.170
Oh, we can see.
00:55:00.170 --> 00:55:01.733
I feel like this is the whole episode.
00:55:03.585 --> 00:55:06.894
I would say it's the most loaded question you could ever ask.
00:55:07.364 --> 00:55:10.652
Oh, my God, and the emotions, the emotions that come up with that.
00:55:10.652 --> 00:55:19.549
So my most important lesson is I'm talking in business.
00:55:19.549 --> 00:55:22.435
Let's just let's put it in a, in a basket, in a bracket.
00:55:22.435 --> 00:55:27.974
My most important lesson Was that my business was only ever gonna be as big as me.
00:55:27.974 --> 00:55:31.909
That's the biggest one for me.
00:55:31.909 --> 00:55:34.255
Where, like, what am I gonna do?
00:55:34.255 --> 00:55:36.992
How am I gonna grow the limiting beliefs that come up?
00:55:36.992 --> 00:55:38.456
How are you gonna move through those?
00:55:38.456 --> 00:55:42.784
What's your yes, what's who's in your tool belt is a really good one.
00:55:42.784 --> 00:55:57.408
I like to think of it like I have this little tool belt and I actually have humans in it, and when I'm doubting myself, I'm gonna grab her, and when I need some more strategies because this one's not working, I'm gonna grab him.
00:55:57.628 --> 00:56:08.143
You know, yeah, that that for me was was a big realization that I couldn't, and you know I was doing what every woman does.
00:56:08.143 --> 00:56:12.077
You know it was purely body-shaming every time I walked past the mirror.
00:56:12.077 --> 00:56:32.545
You know all of those things and you know A lot of people don't think that that's linked to business, but it definitely was, because if I couldn't love myself and I couldn't come from a place of content inside myself, how the hell was I, and I hope people create that, and I think there's a lot of noise out there at the moment.
00:56:32.545 --> 00:56:38.737
There's a lot of coaches that are claiming that they're gonna be able to help you get XYZ.
00:56:38.737 --> 00:56:42.653
Meanwhile, in the back end, you know they're.
00:56:42.653 --> 00:56:44.518
Their life is in absolute turmoil.
00:56:44.518 --> 00:56:51.268
So I think you just have to be so smart about the decisions that are made, because that was a big one for me.
00:56:51.268 --> 00:56:55.317
As soon as I realized that I had to, I had to go all in on myself.
00:56:55.317 --> 00:56:58.511
That's when things shifted.
00:56:59.606 --> 00:57:01.931
I usually ask one thing you wish you had known.
00:57:01.931 --> 00:57:08.344
But I think this is it right believing, believing in yourself, maybe, yeah.
00:57:09.045 --> 00:57:21.264
Yeah is none of the rest matters your strategy, your system, your ecosystem, none of it matters, unless you're ready to grow, and growing doesn't just mean your bank account.
00:57:21.264 --> 00:57:28.971
You are gonna have to have hard conversations, you're gonna have to look in the mirror, you are gonna have to own so much stuff.
00:57:28.971 --> 00:57:32.018
You know, yeah, you know it's it's you.
00:57:32.018 --> 00:57:33.119
Everything is you.
00:57:33.119 --> 00:57:34.632
Your business isn't working.
00:57:34.632 --> 00:57:35.094
It's you.
00:57:35.094 --> 00:57:36.500
Relationships it's you.
00:57:36.500 --> 00:57:41.042
You know, yeah, and a lot of people go all, but you know, bad things have happened to me.
00:57:41.042 --> 00:57:42.429
Yeah, great, that's still you.
00:57:42.810 --> 00:57:45.964
You're still you to stay in that place.
00:57:45.964 --> 00:57:49.824
You're still choosing to write to, to vibrate at that level.
00:57:49.824 --> 00:57:52.253
So you know, I think that was.
00:57:52.253 --> 00:57:53.277
There's been some.
00:57:53.277 --> 00:57:55.949
There's been some tears in that one, that's for sure.
00:57:55.949 --> 00:57:59.743
So, yeah, I think that wraps up voice of those questions.
00:57:59.763 --> 00:58:01.708
I Agree, I love that.
00:58:01.708 --> 00:58:03.434
I love your answers, so thank you.
00:58:03.434 --> 00:58:07.978
I know people are gonna want to know more and learn more from you.
00:58:07.978 --> 00:58:10.224
Where is the best place for them to find you?
