WEBVTT
00:00.995 -->
00:04.910Welcome to The Prosperity Generator. I'm your host,
00:05.007 -->
00:08.505Dina Marais, founder of Soul Purpose Publishing
00:08.698 -->
00:12.036and Coaching, and this podcast is devoted
00:12.469 -->
00:16.449to the energetic and strategic path to prosperity,
00:17.203 -->
00:20.172where we explore how identity,
00:20.654 -->
00:24.233alignment, authorship, and leadership come together
00:24.746 -->
00:28.245to create a life and business that truly
00:28.742 -->
00:29.208thrives.
00:33.688 -->
00:36.348Good morning, good evening, hello, how are you?
00:37.090 -->
00:40.799I'm Jan Edwards coming from Huntington Beach,
00:40.847 -->
00:44.582California. And, um, same here,
00:44.663 -->
00:48.106good morning. It's afternoon here and I'm
00:48.155 -->
00:51.473from Cape Town, South Africa.
00:52.791 -->
00:56.219So we are here to
00:56.604 -->
01:00.551introduce ourselves for those of you who know us and
01:00.600 -->
01:03.039for those of you who don't know us. Um,
01:03.665 -->
01:07.355Dena and I met about 8 years ago online through Facebook,
01:07.500 -->
01:10.484and we— gosh,
01:10.549 -->
01:14.3842018, 8 years ago— and we were doing some
01:14.496 -->
01:18.091videos together. My mind's blank on what we called
01:18.591 -->
01:22.199them. Something about coming alive, isn't it? About that
01:22.699 -->
01:25.601coming— permission to come alive. There it was. Yeah.
01:26.853 -->
01:30.418They were awesome. I know, they were so much fun.
01:30.707 -->
01:34.690That was when I lived in Santa Barbara. And so we've kept in touch and
01:34.722 -->
01:38.866we've worked together and connected
01:38.898 -->
01:42.254personally together over the years. And, um,
01:42.335 -->
01:45.547we've seen each other through a lot. Actually, that's a
01:46.047 -->
01:49.867great way to start this, is just in the last 8 years,
01:49.980 -->
01:53.803how much have we gone through? How much have we witnessed
01:54.303 -->
01:57.517and how much have we experienced as ourselves changing
01:57.858 -->
01:59.139and the world changing.
02:01.360 -->
02:05.102Absolutely. And I remember, I remember in COVID times, remember we
02:05.183 -->
02:08.132also had a group, or you started a group or something,
02:08.197 -->
02:12.702and I joined in, and there were other people, and we all supported
02:12.735 -->
02:16.105one another. Daily appreciation calls.
02:17.742 -->
02:21.120Yeah, yeah. And, uh, then Dena
02:21.620 -->
02:26.226started her publishing company, and you just went
02:26.900 -->
02:30.256into publishing book after book after book and co-author
02:30.756 -->
02:33.933books and solo books. And, um, I think it was,
02:34.671 -->
02:38.348wow, early '24 when
02:38.525 -->
02:41.704you reached out and asked me if I wanted to write a chapter in your
02:41.752 -->
02:43.775book. I'll let you kind of take it from there.
02:44.910 -->
02:46.952Yes, I'll show it to you. Excuse me.
02:47.740 -->
02:50.683Okay. Sorry for the camera,
02:51.198 -->
02:52.308but yeah, here it is.
02:54.690 -->
02:58.045You wrote a chapter in I'm So Glad You Left Me. Yeah.
02:59.223 -->
03:01.837Beautiful. Do you want to share what it's about?
03:03.544 -->
03:10.585I'm So Glad You Left Me was really about about
03:11.085 -->
03:13.622a previous version of ourselves that left us,
03:15.440 -->
03:18.992also about grief, also about,
03:19.573 -->
03:23.641you know, divorce, any kind of something that
03:24.255 -->
03:27.256our relationships and our life has basically,
03:27.805 -->
03:31.225you know, changed irrevocably. And, um,
03:32.338 -->
03:36.196when I started this book, I thought it was about my husband passed away
03:37.941 -->
03:41.069And I wasn't glad that he left me, but I saw it as a very
03:41.101 -->
03:44.407spiritual thing that he moved on so
03:44.907 -->
03:47.162that I can fulfill my purpose here.
03:48.754 -->
03:52.325But then it morphed, it morphed into maybe it's not
03:52.373 -->
03:55.877just about that, maybe it's about illnesses,
03:55.990 -->
03:58.560maybe it's about, you know, uh,
03:59.283 -->
04:01.340divorce, not just death.
04:02.400 -->
04:06.170And, um, And so in the end, it was about a previous
04:06.186 -->
04:10.322version of ourselves that we actually transcended.
04:10.980 -->
04:14.410And that— and if you think about it, Jan,
04:15.164 -->
04:18.835doesn't matter what kind of huge experience
04:19.335 -->
04:22.987like that we go through, the old version of ourselves that upheld
04:23.083 -->
04:26.498that reality is now not there anymore.
04:27.027 -->
04:29.143We have become someone new.
04:30.956 -->
04:34.565Yep. Yeah, I love the way you put that out there because
04:35.065 -->
04:37.517in the beginning when you first introduced this idea to me, the first thing that
04:38.017 -->
04:40.148came to my head was the death of my son.
04:41.287 -->
04:44.753Um, not that I would say I'm so glad you left me, but so
04:45.253 -->
04:48.443many, you know, so much healing and so many shifts
04:48.943 -->
04:52.004and awareness came to me as a result of that, as, as a result of
04:52.036 -->
04:55.133the soul contract that we had, I will say. Um,
04:55.502 -->
04:59.851But then I had also, a few months earlier,
04:59.915 -->
05:03.365had a split with my life partner, my soulmate. And so
05:04.232 -->
05:07.378my chapter became more focused on, you know,
05:07.522 -->
05:10.652how he left and how I was grateful
05:11.152 -->
05:14.118for the gifts and the awareness and the epiphanies that came to me from that
05:14.618 -->
05:17.793transition. So anyway, we're not here to talk about that book
05:18.293 -->
05:21.597necessarily, but it's kind of like I, I wanted to talk about it because it's
05:21.982 -->
05:26.044introducing this theme that's running through this conversation
05:26.156 -->
05:28.789Dena and I are having right now, which is, you know,
05:29.527 -->
05:33.059what have you experienced that's
05:33.284 -->
05:37.297changed right now, um, that you can
05:37.797 -->
05:41.375share with the world? And, um, I am an editor and a writing
05:41.407 -->
05:45.084coach and an intuitive guide guiding people
05:45.180 -->
05:49.563through conscious recreation of knowing
05:49.675 -->
05:53.657themselves and letting go of the parts of themselves that
05:53.706 -->
05:56.226no longer exist, versions of themselves.
05:56.820 -->
06:00.514And I've worked with Dina, and I'll let you
06:01.014 -->
06:04.528share what you do. So I'm a publisher,
06:05.395 -->
06:09.232and I publish multi-author books. I publish solo
06:09.569 -->
06:12.845author books, even children's books. And,
06:13.102 -->
06:16.725um, And yes, I agree with Jan,
06:16.936 -->
06:20.427you know. Um, if someone needs to share
06:20.475 -->
06:23.838a story, there's always a, you know, a choice.
06:24.777 -->
06:27.869If you want to write a full book on it,
06:28.888 -->
06:32.206if you need writing help with it, that's Jan is your girl.
06:33.412 -->
06:36.984If you, um, need to write a chapter in
06:37.484 -->
06:39.026a book, I'm your girl.
06:42.060 -->
06:45.304And, um, if you have a book written that you would like to publish,
06:46.895 -->
06:50.923then of course we both work together on that. I'm the publisher,
06:51.004 -->
06:53.582and if you need editing, I'm sending you to Jan first,
06:54.533 -->
06:57.571and after that it comes back to me, and then we send it for the—
06:57.766 -->
07:01.077for formatting and the COVID design and
07:01.125 -->
07:04.392uploading, depending on what you need. So we
07:04.474 -->
07:06.764are like a one-stop shop, hey Jan?
07:08.290 -->
07:11.782Hey, yes. Hey, Dena. Yeah, actually, we've worked on
07:12.282 -->
07:15.8874 books together, and not counting the one where I wrote a chapter
07:15.951 -->
07:19.587in your book. And, um, it's just we've received
07:20.087 -->
07:24.893so much— what would I say— gratitude
07:25.393 -->
07:29.706and appreciation of the value that our authors
07:29.739 -->
07:32.936have experienced through working with both
07:32.969 -->
07:36.026of us. Because we know each other. Deanna and I have
07:36.074 -->
07:38.836known each other, like we said, for 8 years. We've worked together.
07:39.623 -->
07:42.914It's just a natural kind of— doesn't matter if you
07:42.995 -->
07:46.736start with her and you contact her or you contact me and what you need,
07:46.913 -->
07:50.204you know, we, we work so well together. And I think
07:51.489 -->
07:55.230one of the other things that we wanted to reach out and express
07:55.358 -->
07:59.196is we're both about the same age. Did you Do
07:59.696 -->
08:03.063you, do you want to divulge your age? I don't know if you— I don't
08:03.224 -->
08:06.000mind. I'm 66, born in 1960.
08:07.220 -->
08:11.248Yes. And what was your birth date again? I mean, the 23rd
08:11.748 -->
08:14.859of May. Ah, okay. So you're
08:15.359 -->
08:19.096an Aries. And so I'm a Gemini. You're only about— you're a Gemini, that's right.
08:19.176 -->
08:23.043You're on the cusp. So we're only a few months— I'll be turning 66
08:23.543 -->
08:27.038in a few months. So we're at that age where I call it the
08:27.538 -->
08:31.142third third of the life cycle
08:31.642 -->
08:35.133of being a human, where, you know, the first third we're
08:35.633 -->
08:39.429kind of being introduced to the world and we're receiving all the conditioning
08:39.477 -->
08:42.651and all the beliefs and all the experiences, including the traumas,
08:43.325 -->
08:46.531including the joys. Um, and then the second third,
08:46.595 -->
08:49.721we're navigating, you know, what do we do with that? We build a life,
08:49.737 -->
08:52.911we build a profession, we build a relationship, a marriage,
08:53.087 -->
08:56.533build a family, we build our career and our dreams. And then
08:57.033 -->
08:59.933when we hit this third Third, we are,
09:00.479 -->
09:03.992many of us, looking at ourselves and
09:04.492 -->
09:09.029our lives and our experiences and our beliefs and saying, wait, that's really
09:09.285 -->
09:12.734not true for me, and that's really not the way I want
09:13.234 -->
09:16.295to express myself anymore, or that's not the choice I want to make anymore.
09:16.360 -->
09:19.696And so we're kind of looking at what are we really doing here for this
09:20.306 -->
09:23.706last third, third of our life? What are we wanting
09:23.738 -->
09:27.559to understand? About ourselves in the world? What are we wanting to share
09:27.689 -->
09:31.712with the world about our experiences and what's changed and how we've
09:31.971 -->
09:35.710ridden that, you know, roller coaster? And what
09:36.210 -->
09:38.954are we leaving? Are we leaving— you know, who are we going to be remembered?
09:40.282 -->
09:43.896Does anybody really know us? I mean, we can get into lots of
09:44.396 -->
09:47.623it here, which we may, but, um,
09:47.929 -->
09:51.045that's what Dean and I kind of work on together. That's kind of
09:51.545 -->
09:54.640our passion, and that's what we want to invite people to kind of
09:54.850 -->
09:58.587ponder and consider. What are you here to be
09:58.652 -->
10:01.759remembered for? What are you here to share
10:01.904 -->
10:04.315that you knew and that you discovered and that you experienced?
10:07.010 -->
10:10.400So yeah, and as I said yesterday to, to Jan,
10:10.658 -->
10:14.243is that, you know, nobody's life is unremarkable.
10:16.037 -->
10:19.778We, we might think, oh, but, you know, just ordinary, you know, maybe I
10:20.278 -->
10:23.485was just in corporate, maybe I just brought up my family. Maybe I,
10:24.180 -->
10:26.509you know, did nothing out of the ordinary.
10:28.356 -->
10:32.338But that's absolutely not true. We don't
10:32.838 -->
10:36.401see ourselves in that way. But once we start writing
10:36.450 -->
10:40.306our story, we actually realize the
10:40.322 -->
10:44.227amazing things that we have experienced. And just
10:44.727 -->
10:48.803from this age, I mean, wow. We have
10:49.643 -->
10:51.500done a few lifetimes, I think,
10:53.422 -->
10:57.147in one if you are in your late
10:57.647 -->
10:59.96150s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s.
11:01.150 -->
11:07.012And we also know that becoming
11:07.270 -->
11:08.706older in age,
11:11.094 -->
11:15.103our mind doesn't, our heart doesn't. We have
11:15.137 -->
11:18.677the same aspirations, we have,
11:18.726 -->
11:21.865uh, you know, we have the
11:22.365 -->
11:25.665same urgencies, we have the same things. We,
11:25.730 -->
11:29.519we feel like we still, you know, the mind is eternal,
11:29.778 -->
11:30.879is always young.
11:32.676 -->
11:36.652And, and I think that, that already is,
11:36.865 -->
11:41.294is like an, an opening to what
11:41.794 -->
11:45.386do I want to do for the rest of my life? What, what are the
11:45.500 -->
11:49.122good things that happened? What are the bad things I learned from?
11:49.461 -->
11:52.949And what if I
11:53.449 -->
11:57.599could leave a legacy for my children
11:58.424 -->
12:01.805and my grandchildren and
12:01.837 -->
12:06.198the generations to come that We
12:06.698 -->
12:09.765were not here by accident. We actually
12:09.797 -->
12:13.337created all of, all of our, um,
12:15.155 -->
12:17.653the generations, you know, after us.
12:19.836 -->
12:23.508Yeah. And then yesterday when we were talking about
12:23.896 -->
12:27.132what we were going to say on this call, it reminded me of
12:27.246 -->
12:30.752my client Sam Hashizu, um,
12:30.915 -->
12:34.025and his book that we did together called The Unmuting.
12:34.607 -->
12:38.556And at first, he just wanted to write
12:39.056 -->
12:43.307about who he was and his Japanese ancestry
12:43.646 -->
12:46.876and, you know, all the
12:47.376 -->
12:51.638details of his ancient ancestral lineage because his
12:51.816 -->
12:55.291kids didn't really know who he was. And that's why I was saying
12:55.340 -->
12:58.993in the beginning, does anyone really know who you
12:59.009 -->
13:02.753are? All of who you are? Because we hold ourselves back,
13:02.834 -->
13:05.951right? Depending on who we're with, we share this part, we share that part,
13:06.080 -->
13:09.549but the whole part and all the back parts— where are
13:10.049 -->
13:13.736we sharing that? Who's going to know us when we
13:14.236 -->
13:17.428leave? Are we just going to disappear, or are
13:17.928 -->
13:21.220we going to have something that we left behind? Whether it's our
13:21.720 -->
13:26.033message that we want to leave the world, or maybe it's a method that
13:26.533 -->
13:30.302we discovered that works for our health or our career
13:30.511 -->
13:32.180or our personal growth.
13:33.640 -->
13:37.428And so along the way with writing this book with Sam,
13:37.989 -->
13:41.183you know, I asked him a couple of times, you know, you sure you don't
13:41.683 -->
13:43.767want to publish this? Because he didn't want to publish it. He just wanted this
13:44.267 -->
13:47.025to be, you know, a book that he was going to print out at his
13:47.057 -->
13:50.668friend's printing shop and then distribute the copies to his families
13:51.070 -->
13:54.183and his cousins and his kids. And by the time we got 3/4 of the
13:54.199 -->
13:57.870way through, he's it was just this masterpiece of a book.
13:57.966 -->
14:01.651And he said, I do want to publish it, Jan. And, um,
14:02.356 -->
14:05.849you never know. You never know, like, where are you at with this?
14:06.218 -->
14:09.630What are you wanting to leave? And sometimes you don't have to know. Sometimes,
14:09.743 -->
14:14.213in fact, most of the time, it's just the process of the writing that creates
14:14.713 -->
14:17.754your next reality. And I call it conscious creation writing.
14:18.139 -->
14:22.032What are you writing that brings your life and your dreams and your awareness into
14:22.224 -->
14:26.313actual reality, physical existence. So that's just
14:26.813 -->
14:29.665one thing that happened. It's just beautiful because, I mean,
14:30.819 -->
14:34.604you know, authors working with me, uh, and I'm sure with you
14:35.149 -->
14:38.244too, Jan, um, if, if you,
14:38.837 -->
14:41.772you, you write with people, it's a huge transformation.
14:42.590 -->
14:45.973Authors contributing a chapter in, in my multi-author
14:46.053 -->
14:49.469books, like, you know, our latest one, Soul Evolution Journeys,
14:50.575 -->
14:52.283finding our way home to ourselves.
14:54.718 -->
14:57.087Um, it's a transformation. Any, any,
14:57.587 -->
15:00.924um, entrepreneur— because of course the multi-author
15:01.069 -->
15:03.688books are really for entrepreneurs, um,
15:04.514 -->
15:08.057coaches, healers— and when they
15:08.202 -->
15:12.301write their story, it's your next level transformation.
15:12.898 -->
15:16.386You cannot help but not transform. So it's not
15:16.434 -->
15:20.175something just to tick off. You really, as you really
15:20.207 -->
15:24.093remember, you really go back. And I think
15:24.221 -->
15:27.674the richness of that,
15:28.300 -->
15:32.234of that experience of going back, because often we
15:32.250 -->
15:35.991have an idea of
15:36.167 -->
15:38.913a surface idea of what happened.
15:41.290 -->
15:45.303But when we really write about something again, we go back
15:45.529 -->
15:50.302deep to that. And that
15:50.802 -->
15:54.128actually is really a transformation in itself
15:54.160 -->
15:58.034because it gives you a total new perspective on what
15:58.534 -->
16:00.933happened. On yourself,
16:01.404 -->
16:05.720looking at yourself, looking at every other person involved.
16:07.368 -->
16:10.628Um, it's really very enlightening to do that.
16:11.768 -->
16:15.204I love that you, that you pointed that out because what I've experienced
16:15.284 -->
16:18.641over and over again with clients who are writing
16:19.074 -->
16:22.655parts of their history and their life experience, because I
16:22.687 -->
16:25.979work with people who write about all different kinds of things, but, um, in particular
16:26.479 -->
16:29.913these people who write about their life stories and their experiences, when we go through
16:30.413 -->
16:33.783the first interview or the first batch of,
16:33.992 -->
16:37.781of writing, you know, they often say it like
16:38.281 -->
16:41.876this. This happened then, and then this happened then. And, and then when we go
16:42.376 -->
16:44.525back and we review it and we start, you know, editing, and they say,
16:44.605 -->
16:47.865oh wait, this actually happened then. Oh, I forgot that that happened
16:47.897 -->
16:51.028then. And then we go through it again and we're going— and each time they're
16:51.528 -->
16:55.283kind of like unpeeling the layers and the memories are
16:55.783 -->
16:59.490coming up. And it's basically just a
16:59.522 -->
17:02.954really I don't know, it's like a spiritual cleansing, I want to say.
17:03.229 -->
17:06.101Yes, in some ways. Um,
17:06.553 -->
17:08.296and then what came to mind also is,
17:10.625 -->
17:13.968you know, writing a book. I used to think when I was,
17:14.546 -->
17:18.515I don't know, maybe 30 years ago, when I— maybe 40 years
17:19.015 -->
17:22.520ago, I don't know, 30 years ago, when I thought one of my
17:23.020 -->
17:24.896goals is to write a book, I had no idea I was going to,
17:25.267 -->
17:29.159you know, be a ghostwriter and an editor, but it
17:29.659 -->
17:33.078was like this big thing, just like this big thing on top of a pedestal,
17:33.110 -->
17:36.306right? And it's not. So many
17:36.806 -->
17:39.871people are writing books, and I know if you're watching this video, you probably are
17:39.919 -->
17:43.100aware of that. But what I want to say is
17:43.614 -->
17:46.954it's, it's not a big thing. I mean,
17:47.227 -->
17:50.809the process of writing a book, it's easy when you have someone
17:50.905 -->
17:53.379there supporting you and coaching you if that's what you need.
17:57.292 -->
18:00.526Um, and anybody can do it, and you don't have
18:00.558 -->
18:05.096to have this magnificent story or this revelation
18:05.144 -->
18:09.039or this experience that no one else had. You know, for example, this one woman
18:09.539 -->
18:13.475I was working with during COVID and she had this amazing miracle
18:13.507 -->
18:18.063experience, and her book was about spirituality meets science,
18:18.982 -->
18:22.388but she had been raised in the
18:22.888 -->
18:26.621UK, I think. And so she had been conditioned to really
18:26.653 -->
18:30.389minimize her existence and her importance and her value. And the thing
18:30.501 -->
18:34.141there was like, don't stand up too high. Like, what's the expression?
18:34.814 -->
18:38.021The poppy thing. The poppy syndrome. Poppy thing or
18:38.521 -->
18:42.030tulip. I guess it's poppies. Yeah. Like, don't stand taller
18:42.530 -->
18:46.583than the rest of the poppies. And so through our writing process and editing
18:46.679 -->
18:49.277process and all the work and the guidance we went through,
18:50.363 -->
18:54.144Um, she really just started kind of feeling
18:54.644 -->
18:56.676the effects of that conditioning, like, who am I to write a book?
18:59.308 -->
19:02.972That imposter syndrome. Who are you not to write a book? Who are you not
19:03.085 -->
19:07.247to write a book? This is your self-expression. This is you just
19:07.344 -->
19:09.613basically talking, saying, here I am.
19:10.821 -->
19:14.234It doesn't have to have any magnificent weight in comparison
19:14.347 -->
19:18.000to the rest of the world. It's just you, and that is enough,
19:18.016 -->
19:21.622and that is magnificent, and there's no one like you. Why not share
19:21.737 -->
19:24.706your story? Absolutely, absolutely.
19:25.349 -->
19:29.046I think, you know, it's, it's something that,
19:29.352 -->
19:32.823um, that can hold many people back,
19:33.466 -->
19:36.905this thing that, you know, nothing is not dramatic enough,
19:36.985 -->
19:40.873my story is not dramatic enough, or it's not
19:41.323 -->
19:44.364basically not good enough. And that is really not true.
19:45.415 -->
19:49.011Everyone's story is beautiful. It's absolutely beautiful.
19:49.108 -->
19:52.935It's significant because, I mean, we wouldn't be
19:53.064 -->
19:56.733here in this life just,
19:57.264 -->
20:01.314just because we're ordinary. We are all extraordinary. And I think
20:01.523 -->
20:05.236what is often mistaken is that, you know,
20:05.960 -->
20:08.629because we find things easy and we,
20:10.061 -->
20:13.479you know, living our talents and doing our thing we don't
20:13.496 -->
20:16.316see actually how other people sees us.
20:18.977 -->
20:22.559That the things that is easy for us, other people, is not easy for
20:23.059 -->
20:26.963others. So whatever you,
20:27.271 -->
20:29.154you know, experience in your life,
20:30.775 -->
20:34.383it's amazing and it needs to be told. And we would
20:34.883 -->
20:38.322love to help you tell that. So whether you've
20:38.338 -->
20:41.848already written it and you want it published or whether you need help to
20:42.348 -->
20:47.218write it, Or go
20:47.718 -->
20:49.822to Jan if you have already published it,
20:50.857 -->
20:54.454written it. Come to me, we'll see what you
20:54.954 -->
20:58.833need in terms of publishing services. And if
20:58.897 -->
21:02.135it's not edited, I'll send you to Jan anyway first. So,
21:03.634 -->
21:07.726but yes, stories are important, you know, and I think especially
21:07.792 -->
21:12.511as we get older, Because younger
21:13.011 -->
21:16.683people only see old people. They don't have
21:16.797 -->
21:18.857no clue what we went through,
21:20.269 -->
21:22.118what we lived, what we accomplished.
21:24.688 -->
21:28.749And I think it's so important that our children and our
21:29.249 -->
21:32.049grandchildren and the generations actually know us.
21:34.814 -->
21:36.123I think that's really important.
21:38.127 -->
21:40.454Otherwise, we're going to become a whole lost generation.
21:42.460 -->
21:46.285Oh my gosh. Yeah. And you're writing
21:46.334 -->
21:49.174a book. Can I, can I say that? Yes.
21:52.797 -->
21:55.883And you— I'll probably edit it.
21:56.879 -->
21:59.901Yes, you're probably— you're definitely going to edit it. I'm going to need your,
22:00.174 -->
22:04.317your amazing expert insight in there. To stretch
22:04.446 -->
22:08.360me to my limits or beyond, definitely beyond my
22:08.860 -->
22:12.515comfort zone to make it better. Yeah, yeah, it brings
22:12.627 -->
22:16.124me back to when I said whether it's a message you want
22:16.140 -->
22:19.766to leave or the method, yours is more along— actually,
22:19.830 -->
22:22.878yours is both. I love that. Not that we're going to give it away,
22:23.118 -->
22:26.423but yeah, no, it will be both. Definitely.
22:26.808 -->
22:30.682Yeah, no, I like that. I've got a few books that I
22:30.747 -->
22:33.952still want to write. I think
22:34.178 -->
22:37.374one of the things that we do together is when,
22:37.713 -->
22:41.524you know, the editing part that most people think is done, and we send it
22:42.024 -->
22:45.551to the publisher who does the formatting and, you know,
22:46.275 -->
22:49.447getting ready to publish, is— and it goes back to me
22:50.123 -->
22:54.143because I've noticed with a few other publishers, not with
22:54.209 -->
22:57.343Dina, but that the layout and
22:57.359 -->
23:01.102the format of the way it looked when we were finished with the manuscript before
23:01.150 -->
23:04.058sending to publisher doesn't get transferred that way.
23:04.733 -->
23:07.656And lines are on wrong pages, quotes are,
23:07.801 -->
23:10.339you know, scattered, things are uneven,
23:10.516 -->
23:14.002uncentered, the message gets, you know, kind of
23:14.502 -->
23:18.179scrambled. So we work together back and forth through
23:18.388 -->
23:21.263the end if the client wants. This is not something that has to happen,
23:21.295 -->
23:24.840but, you know, it's just an option to let people know that
23:25.161 -->
23:28.958if you want your finished product to be as pristine
23:29.615 -->
23:33.573as the value of your message, then that's available
23:34.073 -->
23:36.601to you through Dina and me.
23:38.027 -->
23:41.248Yeah, very high quality product.
23:42.113 -->
23:46.103And, um, so my publishing
23:46.215 -->
23:49.516business is called Soul Purpose Publishing, a name given
23:49.580 -->
23:52.827to me by Jan. Remember you gave me the name?
23:54.609 -->
23:58.053Um, so 2021, we were on a Zoom call, right? You said
23:58.553 -->
24:00.123you're starting your publishing company. Yeah,
24:00.203 -->
24:04.0362022, beginning 2022, late 2021.
24:04.084 -->
24:06.298Yeah, so, um,
24:07.995 -->
24:11.329so yeah, so we publish inspirational,
24:11.945 -->
24:15.644inspirational books, books that inspire other
24:15.676 -->
24:19.742people. So my website is janedwards.org,
24:19.758 -->
24:23.429which is just my name, janedwards.org. And I'm a life
24:23.509 -->
24:26.138architect, so I have 3 different spheres that I work in.
24:27.212 -->
24:30.178I work in the soul self, I work in the space surroundings, and then I
24:30.242 -->
24:33.560work on the self-expression story, which is what we're talking about here today.
24:33.624 -->
24:38.209So just click on the, uh, story tab of janedwards.org and,
24:38.257 -->
24:41.431uh, send one of us a message or both of us, you know. Um,
24:41.559 -->
24:45.038we'd love to work with you and answer questions, even be on a call
24:45.150 -->
24:48.292with you. We've often done that. We've been on— in fact, with every client
24:48.792 -->
24:51.727we've worked with together, we've been on mutual calls where all 3 of us are
24:52.227 -->
24:56.157on at the same time. So we can really iron out the questions and articulate
24:56.657 -->
25:00.331the process. So yeah, no, absolutely. And you'll
25:00.831 -->
25:04.472find us both on social media as well. So if
25:04.568 -->
25:07.874you— and we'll put the
25:07.939 -->
25:11.951links below the video to actually find
25:12.451 -->
25:15.916us. So if any of this resonates with you, if we resonate with
25:15.964 -->
25:19.611you, you would like to explore your author
25:19.692 -->
25:22.922journey, reach out.
25:23.729 -->
25:27.705It's just a conversation and to maybe
25:28.205 -->
25:31.408show you, give you some clarity on what,
25:31.473 -->
25:34.400what your next step is to do. Okay.
25:35.614 -->
25:38.979Thank you. See you soon. Thank you for watching.
25:40.371 -->
25:41.439See you soon. Bye for now.
