À PROPOS DE CET ÉPISODE
Coping God’s Way: Breaking Free from Addiction & Turning to Jesus (Show Up Podcast)
Kim Hardeman and Pastor Brian Hollins discuss how many people are coping with life’s pressures through alcohol, marijuana, food, and other distractions instead of turning to God, warning of the destructive path described in John 10:10. Brian shares his own experience with drinking to numb stress, the conviction he felt, and how he sensed God inviting him to come as he was and be cleaned up. They talk about the subtle nature of self-medicating, the difference between knowing Jesus and having a daily relationship with Him, and the importance of surrender, accountability, and community through the Have Faith in God Inner Circle and Faith Department. Kim shares her testimony of secretly using marijuana for years and practical steps like removing triggers and writing down answered prayers. Brian also highlights the faith-based Uprising Addiction Center in Shreveport for inpatient help.
