Speaker 1: My girlfriend has gotten me fired from all my jobs. I'll be homeless soon. I kind of want to leave her, but I'm not sure. So am I the a hole?
00:00:08
Speaker 2: You know?
00:00:09
Speaker 3: It's like you've only taken away my livelihood and almost put me on the street. It's like, why should I be so rash with my decision making to lease?
00:00:17
Speaker 2: Yeah?
00:00:17
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's because she wants to spend more time with you. Why do you know working too hard?
00:00:22
Speaker 2: Baby?
00:00:22
Speaker 1: Like you spend time with me. Quit your job. Yeah, I'll provide you with nothing but pain and lies.
00:00:29
Speaker 2: I mean I can live off of that.
00:00:30
Speaker 1: Pain and lie is what most marriages are built on.
00:00:36
Speaker 2: The more you know, the more you know.
00:00:38
Speaker 1: I'm male twenty four, and I've been with my girlfriend female twenty nine, let's go all her Janis, for two and a half years. I just finished my education when we started dating, and I have been doing all sorts of jobs since, sometimes two at a time. Man's multitask gang, he's doing it. I did this to expand my resume and gather job experience, which is important.
00:00:58
Speaker 2: It's true.
00:00:58
Speaker 1: I worked in cafes, books stores, a library, a grocery store, and as an English tutor. Most of those jobs lasted about three to five months. My shortest day was two and a half weeks, my longest eight months. But since I didn't have a hard time applying for new positions, I tried to block it out, though it was kind of eating me up internally. So man can't hold a job down, he really can't. People called to complain about me. People left bad reviews about me, People used my employee Wi Fi access to look up sketchy things on the internet under my name, what former employees called to inform them about me right name at all, and much more subtle stuff that I couldn't disprove. But I was too anxious to do anything about it. I just told my girlfriend. She comforted me. She supported me every time I got my life ruined by these people, but I kept going though they kept finding me.
00:01:50
Speaker 2: Is this like this feels like a conspiracy? Like? Right, who is this group of people conspiring to make sure time he goes to a new place?
00:01:57
Speaker 1: Or maybe it's just OPI is so unlikable every place he goes to, people are just like, yeah, that guy in.
00:02:03
Speaker 3: Particular, he just doesn't know he's the a hole yet and needs us to tell you.
00:02:07
Speaker 1: Yeah, And don't worry. We'll get to the bottom of this. Are you the a hole or are you not? Because usually, like if everyone else says, you're the problem, probably the problem. Probably the probably the problem, unless something crazy happens it's true, which it might. Fast forward to this week. I currently hold a part time position in a bakery. I've been working there for two months and a half. Is that like an English way of saying two and a half months? Two months and a half and a half I worked out for two months and a half and please give me my tea.
00:02:33
Speaker 2: That's right, it's going okay.
00:02:35
Speaker 1: But my manager approached me about something regarding our Google reviews. Someone was complaining about an employee and their description of them could really only fit me. It was on a day where we were pretty short of staff, so I could have been the only person in the store on that day for all I know. Anyway, the review contained some pretty elaborate and nasty comments about me. This happened on one or two of my jobs already. Basically like this has happened repeatedly. Yeah, something is going something which is crazy, Like there could be someone that hates you so much in your life that just follows your LinkedIn and could just glass door that of you that would like send you a manager a bunch of emails.
00:03:15
Speaker 2: That's like actually super terrifying.
00:03:17
Speaker 1: Think about how easy it is to just destroy someone's like, like, I could destroy anyone that I know, even tangentially, I could destroy their reputation with a few emails.
00:03:29
Speaker 2: That's power, Babe, that's kind of crazy.
00:03:31
Speaker 1: That's power. That is that's power. I'm terrified. Now you better watch John. I'm going to report you to HR.
00:03:37
Speaker 2: Oh God, that's me.
00:03:40
Speaker 1: I told my manager that it was all pretty bogus and that someone had a ndetta against me as it has happened before. She believed me and told me that she'll dismiss the comment. On my break, I checked out the review myself. Their username was kind of stupid. I'm not going to type it out here since I still work there, but I'll just call them Mick Myrtle as it is in the same range of sounds kind of fake but not really.
00:04:03
Speaker 2: Mick Myrtle mcmurdle. I think of the girl from Harry Potter.
00:04:07
Speaker 1: Yeah, moaning Myrtle, honing Myrtle, which great name for a porn star too.
00:04:12
Speaker 2: Bro Like Harry Potter is them porn star?
00:04:15
Speaker 1: Yeah, bro, there's no way that does not exist. I mean that only fans handle Moaning Myrtle pre premo.
00:04:23
Speaker 2: Can we we like grab.
00:04:24

00:05:20
Speaker 2: This is a girlfriend.
00:05:21
Speaker 1: She has heard it all before, so I didn't see the point in complaining about another time I almost lost my position. We chat all as well, and she leaves the room. Her phone is on the table and suddenly she gets a notification or email of some sort from Google. I don't remember exactly what it said, but the pop up read something along the lines of Mick Myrtle, manager has responded to your review.
00:05:45
Speaker 2: The girlfriend is Mick Myrtle. Mick Myrtle is the girlfriend. Oh my god, no wonder, no wonder.
00:05:53
Speaker 1: But why that's the question.
00:05:54
Speaker 2: Why is this?
00:05:56
Speaker 1: Oh god, my heart dropped. I've been trying to ignore it since this is two days ago. It just fit in the picture of bad reviews. It fit the picture of the phone complaints my workplaces have received about me.
00:06:06
Speaker 2: In the past.
00:06:06
Speaker 1: It fits the picture of all the sketchy things I've been fired for.
00:06:09
Speaker 2: Why would she do that?
00:06:11
Speaker 1: Though I'm looking for an explanation, this literally can't be. She's the only thing keeping me sane. I don't know what to do. There is an update, but like I think there's this, like there's this. I forgot what the It's like some psychological complex where it's like you poison your kids, so you can take care of them.
00:06:27
Speaker 3: Huh.
00:06:27
Speaker 1: I think it's the equivalent, like she's making her boyfriend's life hell, so she can take care of him.
00:06:33
Speaker 2: Wow, that is that is terrible.
00:06:36
Speaker 1: That's terrible strategyes Poison kids?
00:06:40
Speaker 2: What was it? What did I call it? What do I call it?
00:06:42
Speaker 1: Poison kids? So you can take care of them? But what's what's that called? Then you have a mental disease thing? Poison kids syndrome syndrome oh man chows and man man honey man Chowsen man Chausen syndrome is by proxy's a mental illness. In a form of child abuse, the caretaker of a child, most of in the mother either makes up fake symptoms or causes real symptoms to make it a to make it look like the child is sick.
00:07:06
Speaker 2: I mean she actually had to pronounce that.
00:07:07
Speaker 1: Moon chousen moon Chowsen.
00:07:10
Speaker 2: Wow.
00:07:11
Speaker 3: Honestly, I think that's a pretty good guess. I feel like, of what's happening?
00:07:14
Speaker 2: He yeah? Because yeah, the question is what is the incentive? Yeah?
00:07:17
Speaker 1: I mean she's an older woman wants I mean it seems like she just wants to take care of him or something. It's just like this weird alone time. Yeah, it's a little lone time. Just drained those balls all wor cravy. Let me you got a little stress on those balls, Yester, Wake up, nut, have breakfast, nut, lunch nut, go to work, he come home nut, lunch break at work nut.
00:07:38
Speaker 2: My man looking like a box of honey nut cheerios.
00:07:41
Speaker 1: Man looking like man looking like he just like sucked dry, like one of those zombies in the Walking Dead where it's like all skin and bones.
00:07:48
Speaker 2: She's sucking that man's soul out for real, getting his nut. All right.
00:07:52
Speaker 1: So, hello people who are still invested. I'm sorry for not updating you guys earlier. A lot has been going on, I'm sure.
00:07:58
Speaker 2: Op. Yeah.
00:08:00
Speaker 1: First of all, yes, we broke up. That's why I'll be referring to her as my ex from now on.
00:08:05
Speaker 3: Rounte of applause, Thank you God. Imagine he's like I wanted to give her a chance.
00:08:12
Speaker 1: You know, I just think about how many nuts he's getting. It's Lenny, that's a lot being sucked dry. She's the vampire. Come over here, Jesus dry his bank account that he is man man h at least he can bake though his balls in his bank are our breaking anyway, Let's start from the beginning. On Monday of the following week, I couldn't take the uncertainty anymore. I told my ex I needed her booking account to book a train ticket to visit my dad for a few days. She complied, and when she was in the shower getting ready for work, I booked my ticket and started looking through her emails. After some digging, I found an email to herself which contained a spreadsheet file. I sent the file to myself printer and took a screenshot. Why the spreadsheet contained about every single information about me. There was numbers, emails, passwords, work times, colleagues, their numbers, and social media's, as well as some emails passwords that she used for accounts to ruin my life. With everything was on there conveniently sorted for her to ruin my life as efficiently as possible. When she left for work, I decided it would be best to immediately pack my stuff. Okay, so he's like he's in in freakin' I'm leaving mode.
00:09:19
Speaker 2: Yeah, he was like.
00:09:20
Speaker 1: A board a boor freaking mission. I'm pressing emergency ejack going through the sky for real. Nothing that mattered would be left behind. I feel like a wanted man, like I was being a hunted despite nothing being seeming out of place. I called my boss, told her I would be taking some time off work, and headed out to see my dad. Needless to say, he was a sanity I needed. I cried about everything I saw. I panicked for a whole two days straight about how my life was ruined and I didn't know.
00:09:47
Speaker 2: What to do. We had to sleep on the couch.
00:09:49
Speaker 1: In the guest room because I was so scared of my ex coming in. He handled it like a champ. I love you, Dad. He called the police, a lawyer, and recently a therapist for me because I was in the most horrible state of my life. We're currently sorting out the legal stuff. I haven't talked to my ex except for letting her know it was over and that she's a sick psychopath. My dad handled the rest. I changed all my passwords, and I'm now looking for a place to live. Sorry for the brief update. My mind is tangled. Please ask your questions if you want answers. By the way, thank you to every single person who gave advice talk to me over DMS and was generally concerned about me. I appreciate every single.
00:10:25
Speaker 2: One of you.
00:10:26
Speaker 1: Holy moly, damn dude, this is why you don't date women. End of sentence, done, This is this is why you never date, never trust again.
00:10:35
Speaker 2: Op remember why me and Sam date each other?
00:10:39
Speaker 1: Podcast? But yeah, damn that that would make me like scared to ever be in a relationship again.
00:10:47
Speaker 3: Yeah, because like like, and you know, it's irrational. It's like, obviously there's of all the people you would date, this is not going to happen frequently. But it's just like it's just gonna be hard to pull out of your mind as you're like talking getting to know someone, like now they know where I work. Now they could go and do this to me.
00:11:04
Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, And it's like I mean she could still do this potentially, yeah you know yeah, Like what do you say every before every job, Like, hey, there's someone that wants to to like ruin my life all the time.
00:11:15
Speaker 2: Yeah, Like come on, yeah.
00:11:17
Speaker 1: It's crazy that almost everyone in your life that you've ever known has the power.
00:11:22
Speaker 3: To destroy it. I've never thought about it before. It's kind of easy, Yeah, it really is.
00:11:27
Speaker 1: And anyone has like any job that they have an employer for bro, just write some bad Google reviews and say, oh, dude, the guy with long blonde hair and blue eyes and dreamy smile is a dick.
00:11:38
Speaker 2: My smile is dreaming. That's all I heard. Yeah, this is insane.
00:11:44
Speaker 3: Also, I love how we like low key accidentally just created the blueprint for like exactly.
00:11:49
Speaker 2: How to distress like I know crazy. This is like my.
00:11:53
Speaker 3: Childhood drug seminar where they literally told us step by step how to make a meth It was, it was great.
00:11:57
Speaker 2: It was then you made it and it was it was.
00:12:00
Speaker 3: But you know what else? It is delicious. Sam are beautiful public subscriber.
00:12:04
Speaker 2: I love them so much. I want to read a comment from them right now.
00:12:06
Speaker 1: Let's do it.
00:12:07
Speaker 2: This is from the video I'm infertile but now I'm pregnant.
00:12:09
Speaker 3: It's a story where Ope sleeps with the ex husband's mistress's husband, but now she's pregnant.
00:12:15
Speaker 2: It was a juicy one.
00:12:16
Speaker 3: Public subscriber George slash Smiths says, am, I supposed to type daddy if I can read what is written on the wall, Okay, daddy, Lol, that's right, Okay, Daddy, keep writing that new freaking podcast cover.
00:12:29
Speaker 2: Well.
00:12:30
Speaker 1: Mims Michayla says, nah, Larry and Ope, that is a beautiful outcome from a situation. I love that for them heart.
00:12:38
Speaker 3: And finally, Tatiana Gay as someone who has been pregnant twice, OPI's the ahole being pregnant and having to chase a dog, is not it? When I was pregnant with my daughter, I did not have the energy to chase my son around. Tatiana, thank you for sharing your experience. Those are the ones that we love the most where we get some insights. Yeah.
00:12:55

00:12:58
Speaker 3: If you want to have your comment possibly read publicly, subscribe comment below.
00:13:02
Speaker 1: We just might read it amazing. Well, see you and Soya, why wasn't I at my desk? Well maybe it was because you said you'd slap the shit out of me.
00:13:10
Speaker 3: You know if if someone said that, I probably wouldn't be at the place where they are.
00:13:15
Speaker 2: Yeah.
00:13:15
Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not gonna. I'm not gonna about to be will Smith by someone. I'm not standing there watching this big do come over me to smack me in the face. I'm gonna defend myself, that's right, by running away. About fifteen years ago, I worked for a large hospital for kids in the maintenance department. Our manager, let's call her Karen was a major bitch. No one on our team. Yeah, that's right, that's right. Hey, do we know any Karen's that.
00:13:40
Speaker 3: She's a major bas All she's doing is taking care of six children all day.
00:13:44
Speaker 2: Like, what a what a bitch? What terrible person? Awful?
00:13:47
Speaker 1: Let the kids die. No one on our team liked her, and we outwardly showed no respect for her after her constant harassment towards us in the two years she worked here. I love It's like, like I imagine like Karen like gone off on the wrong foot, like everyone just dump. It's like, oh, Karen's such a bitch, but literally they're like dunking on her every single day, throwing pies in her face, like putting your thumb tacks on her ches. Karen's so terrible.
00:14:14
Speaker 2: And it's like, you sound kind of terrible.
00:14:16
Speaker 1: You guys have been pranking me for way too long. She would call us on the maintenance radios and be rude to tell the guys they were being incompetent. It was beyond micromanagement, but also rude. On top of it. She expected the maintenance guys to come to work at her house for free, or would tell some of the hospital vendors she would guarantee the hospital contract if they did work at her house.
00:14:37
Speaker 2: For cheap Okay, she does suck. That sucks.
00:14:41
Speaker 1: God, that's like like blackmail, almost literally.
00:14:46
Speaker 2: Wow.
00:14:47
Speaker 1: She used to brag about this to me. Karen and I were the only woman in our department of about twenty five people, so I it was a mouthy twenty something year old, and didn't care for her attitude and regularly would say yeah, sure or whatever when she asked me to do things. I would do what she asked because it was my job, but I would make a non committal remark like that. One time she asked me to come to her house and help her pull down dead trees in her backyard she was having a pool installed. Lady, this is not the job.
00:15:18
Speaker 3: I do not work for you. I work for the hospital. I am not like your your personal tree dragger.
00:15:26
Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
00:15:27
Speaker 1: I said no, mainly because I wouldn't do it for someone I liked, let alone her. And pretty soon after that she started treating me even worse than she did before.
00:15:37
Speaker 3: I did you did you threw it back? H so like is it worth Like to me, that's like not not worth it. I don't want to make my life health one like got one singer.
00:15:48
Speaker 2: You know.
00:15:49
Speaker 1: She had been trying to get me in trouble since then, such as see seeing her buddy in HR and emails to me asking for status on project that I was working on and wanted my replies in writing okay, yeah, so Karen's really trying to yeah, get her most. Fast forward six months later, me and one of the maintenance guys were chatting in the office and I was five months pregnant with my first baby.
00:16:10
Speaker 2: Congrats, op. Yeah.
00:16:11
Speaker 1: She asked me to do something I don't remember what, and I said, yeah, whatever, I'll do it in a few minutes. And I turned back around to talk to my coworker. She's standing behind me, and I hear her whisper. I wish I could slap the shit.
00:16:24
Speaker 2: Out of you. What Karen's getting feisty? Ro Karen's about to throw hands.
00:16:30
Speaker 1: Yo, that's an HR violation I ever heard one. Oh yeah, but also oh, he's being kind of like being kind of a dick.
00:16:38
Speaker 3: She's stoking the flames. But like you go up to a pregnant well, I mean, she's another woman going to a pregnant woman, and.
00:16:44
Speaker 2: Like, I wish I could slap the shit out you.
00:16:48
Speaker 1: No, Yeah, it's fucked up. It's fucked up. I can see my coworker saw her say it too, and I made no comment, but I was shocked. I actually like I didn't hear though. She left the office a minute later to do something. I get up walk down the hall to the employee health department because I am fuming and my heart was racing. I'm pissed, and I'm also five months pregnant, so I'm extra bits. Yeah, the employee health nurse has me laid down for a bit, take my vitals and write up a formal report, and an hour later she sends me back to my desk as I'm okay to continue working. So basically, she just did this to get a complaint filed against Karen Smart. When I log back in, I see an email from Karen with HRC seed asking where I had been for the last hour, as she had called the office phone a bunch of times and was wondering why I had abandoned my desk. So I emailed her back. I love that this is like I read ahead a little bit. This is like corporate like clapbacks.
00:17:47
Speaker 2: You know, I love this.
00:17:48
Speaker 1: I apologize for being away from my desk when you said you'd like to slap the shit out of me. I was upset. I had to be calmed down and have mine in my baby's vitals checked at the employ health center and they were concerned about my hostile working environment and wanted me to stay there the full hour. And you can bet your ass that I bcced her buddy in HR and all of HR, her boss and his boss to make sure everyone saw it. Bro those ccs, through those ccs saw c s. I was summoned to HR about thirty minutes later. I knew Karen hadn't seen my reply yet. This was early two thousand's and her computer was down in the office near me. They had me go home for a day and put me on admin leave for three extra days. I came back to the office to see her desk had been emptied and we never saw her again. Those guys and maintenance threw me the best baby shower ever three months later. Dude, Yo, that's revenge.
00:18:49
Speaker 2: Dude.
00:18:49
Speaker 1: That is a dish served, well played, well played, crushed. It also I love like corporate clapbacks in the email chains, like as per my last email, freaking thumb ass.
00:19:02
Speaker 3: As per my last email, you can see that. I fucking hate you. Get over it.
00:19:10
Speaker 2: I love.
00:19:10
Speaker 1: I love like the the corporate lingo translations. It's like, as per my last email is like did you not see you, idiot? Or like, what's another?
00:19:22
Speaker 2: Let me know.
00:19:22
Speaker 3: Your earliest convenience is get this ship done right now, dude.
00:19:28
Speaker 2: It's so weird. Corporate America. I ain't about it. Ain't about it. Fuck corporate America.
