À PROPOS DE CET ÉPISODE
Hebrews 11:17–29
What enables someone to choose mistreatment with God’s people over the passing pleasures of sin? Faith—confidence that God will keep His promises and that His reward is worth more than this world’s temporary riches.
In this lesson, we follow the writer’s continuing examples of faith: Abraham offering Isaac, the patriarchs looking beyond their lifetimes, Moses rejecting Egypt’s treasures, and Israel passing through the Red Sea. Each example shows trust in God becoming visible through action.
Moses’ choice brings the message directly to believers enduring hardship because of their identification with Christ. He chose suffering with God’s people because “he was looking to the reward” (Hebrews 11:26). His example encourages us to remain faithful under pressure, trusting what God has promised rather than reaching for temporary relief through sin.
True faith does more than speak. It obeys, perseveres, and holds firmly to God’s word—even when fulfillment remains unseen.
