À PROPOS DE CET ÉPISODE
Charlotte Funhomo and The Secret to Superhuman Zack conclude our two part series on the works of Alison Bechdel. On this episode we cover Bechdel’s three major memoirs.
Comics covered in this episode:
– Fun Home
-Are You My Mother
-The Secret to Superhuman Strength
Topics discussed:
– How can we talk about a work that is so closely tied with its author without casting judgement on the human being?
– Would you smoke a blunt with Alison?
– How do these books examine (without explicitly doing so) the nature of truth in non-fiction?
Our next miniseries will be two episodes covering the work of Juni Ba:
-Djeliya: A West African Fantasy Epic & Monkey Meat
-Robin: Boy Wonder, The Unlikely Story of Felix and Macabber, & Mobilis
