WEBVTT
1
00:00:00.360 --> 00:00:03.319
Hey, Bozo, how are you today. I hope you're having
2
00:00:03.359 --> 00:00:05.759
a wonderful day so far. My name is Bailey Sarian
3
00:00:06.040 --> 00:00:09.119
and today is Monday, which means it's murder, mystery and
4
00:00:09.279 --> 00:00:20.640
makeup Monday. Say it said, shirt, shen it shine, I
5
00:00:20.760 --> 00:00:23.039
got a breath. Should really work out. If you are
6
00:00:23.039 --> 00:00:25.519
new here, Hi, how's it going. My name is Bailey
7
00:00:25.519 --> 00:00:27.640
Sarian And on Mondays, I sit down and talk about
8
00:00:27.640 --> 00:00:31.199
a true crime story that's been heavy on my noggin,
9
00:00:31.679 --> 00:00:34.719
and I do my makeup at the same time. If
10
00:00:34.719 --> 00:00:36.520
you're interested in true crime and you like makeup, I
11
00:00:36.520 --> 00:00:39.119
would highly suggest you hit a subscribe button because I'm
12
00:00:39.119 --> 00:00:42.159
here for you on Mondays. With that being said, let
13
00:00:42.159 --> 00:00:43.479
me just get I'm gonna just cause it's been a
14
00:00:43.520 --> 00:00:45.920
while since I've said this, I think, and I've gotten
15
00:00:45.960 --> 00:00:48.320
a lot of new subscribers. Hi, thank you for subscribing.
16
00:00:49.000 --> 00:00:51.920
Nice to meet you. I've been doing this thing kind
17
00:00:51.960 --> 00:00:54.119
of where it's like I upload three videos and then
18
00:00:54.119 --> 00:00:56.880
I skip the fourth, upload three videos, skip the fourth.
19
00:00:57.240 --> 00:00:59.520
I just find that like this skipping the fourth just
20
00:00:59.560 --> 00:01:02.719
kind of like it's a balance in it all. And
21
00:01:03.000 --> 00:01:05.480
so if I don't upload one week, most likely it's
22
00:01:05.480 --> 00:01:09.239
because it's my skip week. Talking about murder, research and murder,
23
00:01:09.359 --> 00:01:12.599
talking about dark history, talking about everything dark all the time.
24
00:01:15.000 --> 00:01:16.760
It can be very draining. So I like to make
25
00:01:16.760 --> 00:01:20.719
sure to give myself a break and do anything but murder. Well,
26
00:01:20.719 --> 00:01:23.120
not that I'm doing murder, but you get it. Yeah,
27
00:01:23.319 --> 00:01:27.640
not doing it, just reading, watching everything. So if I
28
00:01:27.640 --> 00:01:30.560
don't upload, most likely that's where it's just my off week.
29
00:01:30.840 --> 00:01:33.040
I love doing murder, mystery makeup. I don't want to
30
00:01:33.040 --> 00:01:34.760
get burnt out, so I just do it, you know,
31
00:01:35.000 --> 00:01:39.599
just to prevent burnout, because it's real. Okay, Hi, Before
32
00:01:39.640 --> 00:01:42.200
we jump into today's story, we do have a sponsor.

44
00:02:23.840 --> 00:02:27.039
Didn't think about that for phone cases, but great case
45
00:02:27.080 --> 00:02:29.919

ultra impact case. So if you drop that bad boy,
48
00:02:36.719 --> 00:02:38.840
you know when you drop it, not even drop it.
49
00:02:38.879 --> 00:02:41.080
You're like no, and you're just watching and you know,
50
00:02:42.159 --> 00:02:46.840
you know, there's no way it's gonna make it. There's
51
00:02:46.879 --> 00:02:50.000
no way, oll case. If I their ultra impact case,
52
00:02:50.800 --> 00:02:53.639
it's gonna survive. It's gonna survive. Let me tell you.
53
00:02:53.680 --> 00:02:55.000
I was watching my car the other day, one of
54
00:02:55.039 --> 00:02:57.719
those car wash places, and the why did I have
55
00:02:57.759 --> 00:03:00.840
my phone on me? I don't know, because I'm addicted.
56
00:03:01.800 --> 00:03:03.879
I like through my phone and it just went flying
57
00:03:03.960 --> 00:03:05.759
and it hit the heart cement and I was like,
58
00:03:05.800 --> 00:03:08.560
there's no way. It didn't. It didn't break. There's no way,
59
00:03:08.800 --> 00:03:15.360
and it didn't. I love my cow case. No, yes, anyway.
60
00:03:15.520 --> 00:03:18.479
Case to FI cases always make awesome gifts for family
61
00:03:18.560 --> 00:03:21.800
and friends. And this is your official reminder that the
62
00:03:21.879 --> 00:03:25.719
holidays are literally right around the corner. They're pretty much here,
63
00:03:25.840 --> 00:03:27.800
So don't be that person. Who waits until the night
64
00:03:27.800 --> 00:03:32.479
before your family holiday dinner to get everyone gifts it happens,
65
00:03:33.199 --> 00:03:35.439
make sure and like, get them something ahead of time,
66
00:03:35.719 --> 00:03:37.840
get them a case to five case this year. Not
67
00:03:37.919 --> 00:03:40.120
everyone needs a phone case a case. I ask so
68
00:03:40.120 --> 00:03:43.639
many different colors, styles and designs, and if you're going
69
00:03:43.680 --> 00:03:46.439
to treat yourself or maybe someone else to the new
70
00:03:46.439 --> 00:03:50.039
iPhone thirteen this year, you definitely need a case for that.
71
00:03:50.080 --> 00:03:52.520
Bad boy. Do people gift phones? I think that's a
72
00:03:52.599 --> 00:03:54.360
rich people thing. Yeah, but you know, it drives me
73
00:03:54.439 --> 00:03:58.479
nuts when you see somebody who doesn't have a phone
74
00:03:58.479 --> 00:04:01.879
case on, like they're just raw dog their phone. I
75
00:04:01.879 --> 00:04:04.719
think I'm using that term correctly, raw docking it no
76
00:04:04.919 --> 00:04:09.039
case and you're like, dude, you are wild, You are
77
00:04:09.080 --> 00:04:11.919
out of control. That is someone you have to be
78
00:04:12.039 --> 00:04:17.439
wary of because that's dangerous. Anyho, If this sounds like
79
00:04:17.480 --> 00:04:20.000

to case Tofi for partnering with me on today's video.
84
00:04:34.360 --> 00:04:36.360
But most of all, big thank you to you guys,
85
00:04:36.680 --> 00:04:40.759
because without you, I wouldn't be here. I appreciate you anyhow.
86
00:04:40.839 --> 00:04:42.560
So if you're ever curious to know what I'm using,
87
00:04:42.639 --> 00:04:45.040
I'm gonna list it down in the description box for you.
88
00:04:45.480 --> 00:04:50.759
But other than that, let's get into today's story. Today's story,
89
00:04:50.839 --> 00:04:53.120
let me tell you it has been described as one
90
00:04:53.160 --> 00:04:58.800
of Los Angeles' most gruesome crime scenes in history. Story.
91
00:04:59.040 --> 00:05:01.720
It's often compared to the Black Dahlia Murder in terms
92
00:05:01.720 --> 00:05:05.000
of level of gore. That's what we're getting into today.
93
00:05:05.399 --> 00:05:09.800
Blake Lebel, Yeah, he was born on May eighth, nineteen
94
00:05:09.879 --> 00:05:14.399
eighty one in Canada. And he was just a normal guy, right,
95
00:05:14.959 --> 00:05:19.480
always friendly. People liked him. But I think it's safe
96
00:05:19.480 --> 00:05:24.040
to say that he had a very privileged upbringing. His dad,
97
00:05:24.199 --> 00:05:27.920
his name was Lauren. He's a prominent Toronto real estate mogul.
98
00:05:28.279 --> 00:05:32.600
So he Blake's father had developed thousands of homes with
99
00:05:32.720 --> 00:05:37.560
his father and brother, so grandfather and uncle to Blake anyways,
100
00:05:37.759 --> 00:05:40.680
so it made the family pretty well off. You could
101
00:05:40.720 --> 00:05:44.040
say they were doing pretty damn well for themselves. Anyhow.
102
00:05:44.639 --> 00:05:48.319
So his mother, Blake's mother was She was not a
103
00:05:48.439 --> 00:05:51.720
nobody you could say. Blake's mother, her name was Eleanor.
104
00:05:52.199 --> 00:05:55.519
She was an heiress of a major plastics production company
105
00:05:55.600 --> 00:05:58.759
in Canada. Yeah, this company. They made all kinds of
106
00:05:59.000 --> 00:06:04.120
different plastic products. And her dad, Blake's grandfather, he owned
107
00:06:04.199 --> 00:06:07.759
a bunch of patents. So we're talking about like rich, rich, rich,
108
00:06:08.240 --> 00:06:11.920
super rich. Remember we did that other story about the
109
00:06:12.000 --> 00:06:17.959
lady whose father owned plastics, the incest one. Remember, Lol, Wow,
110
00:06:18.439 --> 00:06:20.839
now here we are again, more plastic. I think it
111
00:06:20.920 --> 00:06:24.079
does something to you, Blake. He also had an older
112
00:06:24.079 --> 00:06:26.920
brother and who his name was Cody. So with parents
113
00:06:27.680 --> 00:06:31.639
like that, you know, very successful parents. They this is
114
00:06:31.680 --> 00:06:34.120
an assumption here, but they probably felt like they had
115
00:06:34.199 --> 00:06:36.959
to do something big and important with their lives. I
116
00:06:37.000 --> 00:06:39.160
don't know. I don't know, though, so don't quote me.
117
00:06:39.680 --> 00:06:43.519
So unfortunately Blake's parents, mom and dad, they couldn't make
118
00:06:43.560 --> 00:06:45.720
the marriage work, so they ended up splitting up, right,
119
00:06:46.360 --> 00:06:49.800
But they also decided to split up the boys, which
120
00:06:49.879 --> 00:06:54.199
is weird. I guess, like, not only are you not
121
00:06:54.279 --> 00:06:56.600
living with both of your parents anymore, but now your
122
00:06:56.680 --> 00:06:59.920
brother is gone or your dad because you're just never
123
00:07:00.160 --> 00:07:03.879
to see them again. Because they didn't like switch it around.
124
00:07:04.920 --> 00:07:07.720
So the two boys. They were only a year apart,
125
00:07:07.839 --> 00:07:10.000
so it's like they had a pretty close relationship, but
126
00:07:10.600 --> 00:07:12.360
one went with the dad and one one with the
127
00:07:12.360 --> 00:07:15.000
mom and that was that. So the boys they ended
128
00:07:15.040 --> 00:07:18.560
up growing up completely apart. Once their parents had split,
129
00:07:18.959 --> 00:07:21.360
Cody went and lived with his dad and Blake went
130
00:07:21.399 --> 00:07:23.399
to go live with his mom. And it was pretty
131
00:07:23.720 --> 00:07:26.439
safe to say that they did well. You know, it
132
00:07:26.480 --> 00:07:29.319
wasn't like hard times. They were both still growing up
133
00:07:29.360 --> 00:07:34.800
in their life of privilege and luxury and all that stuff.
134
00:07:34.839 --> 00:07:38.480
You know. I guess it was said that Blake was
135
00:07:38.480 --> 00:07:40.920
feeling some sort of way because he was jealous that
136
00:07:41.000 --> 00:07:43.839
his brother got to hang out more with the father,
137
00:07:44.199 --> 00:07:46.600
and his father seemed to favor him a lot more.
138
00:07:47.160 --> 00:07:48.879
I mean, how could you not think that when you're
139
00:07:48.920 --> 00:07:50.560
a kid and you don't get to see your dad.
140
00:07:50.600 --> 00:07:52.800
I mean it's probably true, no offense, I don't know,
141
00:07:53.360 --> 00:07:56.000
So it just seemed like he had some very deep
142
00:07:56.399 --> 00:08:00.439
jealousy issues. But we'll circle back to that. So the
143
00:08:00.439 --> 00:08:03.079
boys grow up and then they both end up moving
144
00:08:03.160 --> 00:08:07.199
to Los Angeles, California. Cody decided to follow in his
145
00:08:07.240 --> 00:08:11.399
father's footsteps and he became a real estate developer and
146
00:08:11.519 --> 00:08:15.279
he would be working on multimillion dollar projects. He was
147
00:08:15.319 --> 00:08:19.560
also a founder of a record company that didn't last long,
148
00:08:19.759 --> 00:08:24.360
but he tried, you know, he tried. And Cody was
149
00:08:24.399 --> 00:08:27.360
also in business with the major restaurant and nightclub owner,
150
00:08:27.800 --> 00:08:29.959
so I mean he always kind of seemed to find
151
00:08:30.600 --> 00:08:33.519
something to do. They all did. Cody also had some
152
00:08:33.559 --> 00:08:37.399
more interesting claims to fame. He kind of was like
153
00:08:37.440 --> 00:08:40.039
a big man on campus in the Hollywood scene. He
154
00:08:40.120 --> 00:08:43.200
definitely liked to be out in the public eye and
155
00:08:43.279 --> 00:08:46.440
like Rob Elbows with the famous people. Cody was also
156
00:08:46.679 --> 00:08:50.000
known for the super secret poker ring that he was in,
157
00:08:50.399 --> 00:08:53.399
which is not so much a secret if it's like
158
00:08:53.480 --> 00:08:55.799
part of your identity. But you know, did you ever
159
00:08:55.840 --> 00:08:58.879
read the book Wally's Game or watch the movie? It
160
00:08:58.960 --> 00:09:01.399
was really good. You should watch or read it whatever
161
00:09:01.440 --> 00:09:06.320
you prefer. Molly's Game, Okay. Cody was supposedly part of
162
00:09:06.360 --> 00:09:10.200
that poker ring and played with big celebrities like Toby maguire,
163
00:09:10.559 --> 00:09:15.200
Leonardo DiCaprio, Bed Affleck, and Matt Damon. So I guess
164
00:09:15.240 --> 00:09:17.480
Cody was in on that. And he was also known
165
00:09:17.519 --> 00:09:21.399
for honestly being really bad, like not winning any games.
166
00:09:21.840 --> 00:09:26.039
I guess. Rumor has it. Who knows, but rumor has
167
00:09:26.080 --> 00:09:28.519
it that there was one time where he lost over
168
00:09:28.559 --> 00:09:31.080
a million dollars in just one game. I don't know.
169
00:09:31.200 --> 00:09:34.080
Fuck us, we get it. Oh my god, I look
170
00:09:34.120 --> 00:09:40.519
so old. Okay, cool, So Blake he was like stereotypical trust,
171
00:09:40.559 --> 00:09:44.480
fun kid. Okay. He joined in with his older brother
172
00:09:44.759 --> 00:09:48.559
in the high stakes celebrity poker games, but in terms
173
00:09:48.600 --> 00:09:53.879
of his career goals, Blake pursued more of the creative arts.
174
00:09:54.159 --> 00:09:58.480
He was an artist after attending the University of Western
175
00:09:58.519 --> 00:10:02.720
Ontario in two thousand, before Blake joined a bunch of
176
00:10:02.759 --> 00:10:05.679
his college buddies who had moved out to Los Angeles.
177
00:10:06.120 --> 00:10:09.519
So Blake really wanted to direct movies, and he definitely
178
00:10:09.519 --> 00:10:11.399
had the money to help pave the way for him.
179
00:10:11.440 --> 00:10:15.320
You know, nothing's stopping him, right. Blake was also known
180
00:10:15.519 --> 00:10:18.759
amongst his friends to be like he had really cool ideas,
181
00:10:19.720 --> 00:10:24.480
but he never was able to execute these ideas. You know,
182
00:10:24.559 --> 00:10:27.960
like he was just full of ideas but never went
183
00:10:28.039 --> 00:10:30.600
anywhere with it. It didn't matter how much money you
184
00:10:30.759 --> 00:10:36.200
threw at it. He just I don't know, he wasn't reliable.
185
00:10:36.320 --> 00:10:38.679
I guess we could say a lot of people thought
186
00:10:38.679 --> 00:10:42.240
Blake was like this genius, but others felt like he
187
00:10:42.320 --> 00:10:44.919
was maybe just a really smooth talker and he was
188
00:10:44.919 --> 00:10:47.039
just trying to suck you win to like some grand
189
00:10:47.080 --> 00:10:51.559
scheme that just never paid off. Finally, Blake was able
190
00:10:51.600 --> 00:10:54.200
to use his money to get like in the Door
191
00:10:54.200 --> 00:10:57.120
a little bit okay. Blake ended up directing a low
192
00:10:57.159 --> 00:11:01.879
budget film called Bald, Yeah, Bald. It got two point
193
00:11:02.039 --> 00:11:06.519
six stars on IMBD, so that's better than no stars.
194
00:11:06.960 --> 00:11:09.720
That's better than no stars. So he directs that movie.
195
00:11:10.639 --> 00:11:13.120
And after he directed that movie, he went on to
196
00:11:13.200 --> 00:11:17.039
work on an animated series with mel brooks. Now, I
197
00:11:17.080 --> 00:11:20.399
had no idea that they turned Spaceballs into an animated
198
00:11:20.440 --> 00:11:25.320
TV show, did you? I didn't. When did they do that?
199
00:11:25.519 --> 00:11:27.360
I forgot. I forgot to look that up, but I
200
00:11:27.399 --> 00:11:30.039
didn't know that, and they did, and Blake worked it
201
00:11:30.039 --> 00:11:33.200
on it well, he directed and consulted on it, and
202
00:11:33.240 --> 00:11:36.759
Blake also did some screenwriting. But one thing that he
203
00:11:36.879 --> 00:11:42.240
was kind of successful at was writing graphic novels. That's
204
00:11:42.320 --> 00:11:46.559
where he was pretty good. He was pretty good, So
205
00:11:46.720 --> 00:11:49.759
he was pretty successful at writing graphic novels. So if
206
00:11:49.799 --> 00:11:51.679
you don't know what a graphic novel is, because I
207
00:11:51.720 --> 00:11:54.080
really didn't know what a graphic novel was. A graphic
208
00:11:54.200 --> 00:11:57.200
novel is kind of like a more intense comic book,
209
00:11:57.840 --> 00:12:01.759
you know, So the story is told through art like
210
00:12:01.840 --> 00:12:04.919
a comic book, but it's usually longer with more complicated
211
00:12:04.960 --> 00:12:11.480
and in depth storylines. I guess Blake's most successful project
212
00:12:11.639 --> 00:12:16.759
was a graphic novel titled Syndrome. Yes, Syndrome was originally
213
00:12:16.840 --> 00:12:21.440
published in twenty ten, and it's about a neuropathologist who
214
00:12:21.559 --> 00:12:24.799
was hell bent on figuring out what is the root
215
00:12:24.960 --> 00:12:28.320
of all evil. So he experiments on serial killers and
216
00:12:28.360 --> 00:12:31.279
helps her try and find a cure for the evilness
217
00:12:31.279 --> 00:12:34.000
that is inside of them, no matter what it costs
218
00:12:34.039 --> 00:12:36.919
him and the scientist. He never seems to find the cure,
219
00:12:37.039 --> 00:12:40.519
and Blake ends the book by saying, quote in the end,
220
00:12:40.679 --> 00:12:45.440
we all become monsters end quote, which is so freaking
221
00:12:45.519 --> 00:12:49.840
creepy when you know where this goes. Now, The story
222
00:12:49.840 --> 00:12:53.840
in the graphic novel is also pretty freaking violent, okay,
223
00:12:54.200 --> 00:12:57.960
and the images that help tell the story are very disturbing.
224
00:12:58.159 --> 00:13:00.559
I mean, for example, like the cover the book is
225
00:13:00.600 --> 00:13:03.639
a photoshopped picture of a baby doll head with most
226
00:13:03.679 --> 00:13:07.279
of the brain and skull removed. No, the skull's removed
227
00:13:07.879 --> 00:13:10.840
and the brain is exposed. Big difference. So right off
228
00:13:10.840 --> 00:13:14.279
the bat, that's a little warning of the type of
229
00:13:14.279 --> 00:13:16.480
stuff you may be seeing inside the book. And the
230
00:13:16.480 --> 00:13:20.720
book itself it included some incredibly gory illustrations of two
231
00:13:20.799 --> 00:13:24.919
people hagging by their feet completely drained of blood, which
232
00:13:24.919 --> 00:13:29.639
again is creepy knowing what's coming up. There are also
233
00:13:29.799 --> 00:13:33.159
illustrations of women's body laying on a blood soaked mattress
234
00:13:34.000 --> 00:13:38.120
and she's missing her head too. Yeah, maybe just store
235
00:13:38.159 --> 00:13:40.080
this information in the back of your knoggin because it's
236
00:13:40.080 --> 00:13:41.840
gonna come up and you're gonna be like, what the fuck.
237
00:13:42.120 --> 00:13:44.519
I'm sorry, you're gonna be like, what the hell, What
238
00:13:44.519 --> 00:13:48.080
the heck? What the Sam Hill one of those what
239
00:13:48.200 --> 00:13:52.440
the chicken scratch salad? What the Bob Barker likes chicken
240
00:13:52.480 --> 00:13:56.120
scratch sandwich? What the chicken scratch sandwich? So if you
241
00:13:56.159 --> 00:14:00.320
put that disturbing graphic novel side, I guess Blake would
242
00:14:00.360 --> 00:14:03.919
be considered a catch. I mean, he had money, he
243
00:14:04.000 --> 00:14:06.879
came from a well off family, He had celebrity friends
244
00:14:06.960 --> 00:14:08.879
or at least hung out with celebrity. So it's like,
245
00:14:08.919 --> 00:14:13.399
oh my god, he's somebody and bitches love that. So
246
00:14:13.440 --> 00:14:16.320
with that being said, in two thousand and six, Blakey
247
00:14:16.799 --> 00:14:21.919
he meets a woman named Amanda. Now Amanda was or
248
00:14:22.120 --> 00:14:26.960
is she's a former model. Okay, Now, just like everybody else,
249
00:14:27.519 --> 00:14:31.000
she's got some baggage. Okay. So she meets Blake. She's like,
250
00:14:31.000 --> 00:14:33.600
oh my lad, yes, you're so great. And she tells
251
00:14:33.639 --> 00:14:37.120
him like, my last relationship was such a disaster and
252
00:14:37.480 --> 00:14:40.120
this guy, Blake, like he is just the opposite of
253
00:14:40.200 --> 00:14:43.679
my last boyfriend. He's not dead or in prison. I
254
00:14:43.679 --> 00:14:48.519
guess Blake was more shy and introverted and someone consider
255
00:14:48.600 --> 00:14:52.080
him a bit nerdy, whatever the hell that means. Many
256
00:14:52.120 --> 00:14:54.240
would say that when it came to Blake and Amanda,
257
00:14:54.279 --> 00:14:57.960
it was like an opposites attract type of deal, you know,
258
00:14:58.000 --> 00:15:03.919
like Amanda was this outgoing party girl and Blake was introverted, nerdy,
259
00:15:03.960 --> 00:15:05.840
whatever the hell that means. But you know, maybe she
260
00:15:05.919 --> 00:15:09.559
was trying something new because her last boyfriend didn't work
261
00:15:09.639 --> 00:15:13.799
out for her. Not blaming her, not blaming her, just
262
00:15:13.879 --> 00:15:16.399
saying to maybe she's trying something new. Amanda and Blake
263
00:15:16.480 --> 00:15:19.279
date for a few years before marrying in twenty eleven,
264
00:15:19.720 --> 00:15:22.960
but at that time, Amanda was already pregnant with their
265
00:15:23.000 --> 00:15:25.639
first son, and they seemed to like genuinely just love
266
00:15:25.679 --> 00:15:29.000
each other. Some speculated I don't know that they were
267
00:15:29.039 --> 00:15:32.519
getting married because they're having a son and it was
268
00:15:32.559 --> 00:15:35.080
for like legal purposes. I feel like that's a rich
269
00:15:35.120 --> 00:15:38.360
people think, so what kind of makes sense? But maybe
270
00:15:38.360 --> 00:15:42.399
they just loved each other. Maybe Okay. So Blake wasn't
271
00:15:42.440 --> 00:15:45.000
really making a lot of money from his graphic novels.
272
00:15:45.399 --> 00:15:48.519
He was actually getting a monthly allowance from his parents
273
00:15:48.600 --> 00:15:51.200
and then using that to pay for everything. Blake was
274
00:15:51.200 --> 00:15:56.559
getting eighteen thousand dollars a month from his parents for
275
00:15:56.720 --> 00:15:59.919
just being born, and he got just over one point
276
00:16:00.080 --> 00:16:04.960
seven million dollars over eight years until twenty eleven. And
277
00:16:05.000 --> 00:16:08.519
that's when his mom, Blake's mom had died of brain cancer.
278
00:16:08.879 --> 00:16:13.799
That's sad, and that's when the payments ended up stopping.
279
00:16:14.399 --> 00:16:17.320
So Blake is kind of panicking because he has no
280
00:16:17.399 --> 00:16:20.039
other source of income at all. How he is going
281
00:16:20.080 --> 00:16:22.519
to support his wife, Amanda and their new boor son.
282
00:16:22.799 --> 00:16:28.200
What's he going to do? Get a job? Of course not.
283
00:16:29.240 --> 00:16:31.519
Blake is like, I know what I'll do. I'll sue
284
00:16:31.559 --> 00:16:34.960
my dad for the money for mom's estate. You know,
285
00:16:35.039 --> 00:16:37.480
since they split up and I lived with her, it's
286
00:16:37.519 --> 00:16:39.840
only fair that I get everything. It kind of makes
287
00:16:39.879 --> 00:16:42.240
sense because like, no, it doesn't, but it kind of
288
00:16:42.279 --> 00:16:45.639
makes sense because a large stuff went to his dad
289
00:16:45.679 --> 00:16:48.480
and they were like divorced for so long. Maybe they
290
00:16:48.519 --> 00:16:50.799
think they still liked each other though, well, obviously she
291
00:16:50.879 --> 00:16:53.480
left him a bunch of stuff. What I'm getting at
292
00:16:53.720 --> 00:16:57.559
is his mom's estate was worth about twelve million dollars,
293
00:16:57.600 --> 00:17:01.679
but the court only ends up awarding Lakey about half.
294
00:17:01.799 --> 00:17:04.559
So six million dollars. Great math. I'm sure you and
295
00:17:04.599 --> 00:17:09.480
I could be like, wow, jack fucking pot. Great, I'm retiring,
296
00:17:10.599 --> 00:17:15.039
You'll never see me again. But but bye bye butt,
297
00:17:15.160 --> 00:17:17.319
and there's a big butt. Blake was not happy. He
298
00:17:17.359 --> 00:17:19.440
was very disappointed with this amount. He wanted the full
299
00:17:19.960 --> 00:17:23.720
twelve million. I was about to say twelve thousand, okay,
300
00:17:23.720 --> 00:17:26.400
So Blake's not happy. Now he's trying to fight this
301
00:17:26.559 --> 00:17:29.000
right because he thinks he deserves it all. Now, there
302
00:17:29.039 --> 00:17:32.799
are two main reasons why the courts only awarded him half.
303
00:17:33.079 --> 00:17:35.200
The first reason was because Blake didn't go to his
304
00:17:35.240 --> 00:17:40.440
mom's funeral. Yep. Blake's friends said that Blake couldn't handle
305
00:17:40.480 --> 00:17:43.039
it because he was super close with his mom and
306
00:17:43.079 --> 00:17:45.839
like it was just too much for him, you know.
307
00:17:47.000 --> 00:17:50.799
And his friends also said that his mom was this
308
00:17:50.880 --> 00:17:54.680
whole world and her death was like really hard for
309
00:17:54.799 --> 00:17:57.920
him and that's why he didn't go. But the courts
310
00:17:57.960 --> 00:18:00.200
didn't see it that way. They're like, they see it
311
00:18:00.279 --> 00:18:02.759
is like you're not wanting to go and now you
312
00:18:02.839 --> 00:18:07.200
just want money. Yeah, why didn't you go to the funeral?
313
00:18:07.680 --> 00:18:09.880
So last time you get to say goodbye? So he
314
00:18:09.880 --> 00:18:11.799
didn't go to the funeral, and the courts they saw
315
00:18:11.799 --> 00:18:14.920
it as cold and as if he only cared about
316
00:18:14.920 --> 00:18:18.119
her money. The second reason was because in the will,
317
00:18:18.359 --> 00:18:22.440
his mom left Blake her condo in Florida and her
318
00:18:22.559 --> 00:18:26.200
really nice house in Toronto, and Blake already got this
319
00:18:26.559 --> 00:18:30.160
and guessed what he did with it. He instantly turned
320
00:18:30.200 --> 00:18:35.000
around and sold both properties and made several million dollars
321
00:18:35.039 --> 00:18:39.000
from the two sales. So it's like, Bud, where's your
322
00:18:39.000 --> 00:18:43.400
money going, because he seemed to be doing pretty well. Oh, gambling, dah,
323
00:18:44.119 --> 00:18:46.920
maybe that's where it's all going. And the court's eyes
324
00:18:46.960 --> 00:18:49.400
that this kid had already made so much off of
325
00:18:49.480 --> 00:18:52.400
his mother and all he was doing was turning around
326
00:18:52.480 --> 00:18:55.839
demanding more money you know, and to them, like the courts,
327
00:18:56.240 --> 00:18:58.920
it's not a good look. You seem real and graedy.
328
00:18:59.200 --> 00:19:02.559
So they only gave him six million. They only gave
329
00:19:02.640 --> 00:19:08.240
him six million, only six million. Blake keeps going back
330
00:19:08.279 --> 00:19:10.640
to the courts like can I have some more place?
331
00:19:11.200 --> 00:19:14.759
Like you're good, Blake, You're good. Some believe that maybe
332
00:19:14.799 --> 00:19:17.400
Blake was doing this because he was angry at his dad,
333
00:19:17.480 --> 00:19:19.680
that his dad got so much money and like they
334
00:19:19.720 --> 00:19:21.839
weren't even together, and he felt like, well, I deserve
335
00:19:21.880 --> 00:19:24.559
it more because I loved mom. Yeah, so that's what
336
00:19:24.680 --> 00:19:27.640
some people were speculating, but it's just an observation. We
337
00:19:27.720 --> 00:19:30.400
really don't know. It just sounds like he's greedy. Honestly,
338
00:19:31.279 --> 00:19:33.759
he doesn't want to work. So it's around this time
339
00:19:33.920 --> 00:19:37.279
that Blake's friends are starting to drift away from him
340
00:19:37.440 --> 00:19:42.000
because they noticed a change in his attitude, a shift
341
00:19:42.680 --> 00:19:46.000
in his character. It kind of started when his mother
342
00:19:46.200 --> 00:19:50.359
was sick. He became more aggressive, like he started acting out.
343
00:19:50.680 --> 00:19:54.000
He would throw really awful tantrums, like if like a
344
00:19:54.079 --> 00:19:56.559
freaking three year old, and if he didn't get his way,
345
00:19:56.759 --> 00:20:00.960
he would just explode at his friends. He wasn't physically violent,
346
00:20:01.200 --> 00:20:04.160
but he was definitely verbally abusive to them, so he
347
00:20:04.480 --> 00:20:08.279
yelled a lot, and he would verbally harass his friends
348
00:20:08.640 --> 00:20:12.319
and then call him up and apologize the next day,
349
00:20:12.359 --> 00:20:14.400
like I'm so sorry. It didn't mean what I said.
350
00:20:14.720 --> 00:20:18.119
So his friends they weren't going to put up with
351
00:20:18.160 --> 00:20:21.000
his abuse anymore, No, they were not. They were like,
352
00:20:21.039 --> 00:20:23.279
we don't need this. We don't need a friend like you, Okay,
353
00:20:23.319 --> 00:20:26.519
we don't need anybody like this in our lives. So
354
00:20:26.559 --> 00:20:29.640
his friends started dropping them, and nobody needs friends like
355
00:20:29.680 --> 00:20:31.279
that in their lives. If you have a friend like that,
356
00:20:31.319 --> 00:20:34.759
you get rid of them. You do not entertain that
357
00:20:34.880 --> 00:20:38.359
kind of behavior, No, you do not Just ghost them.
358
00:20:38.720 --> 00:20:41.319
You could be an adult and like tell them, I guess,
359
00:20:41.359 --> 00:20:45.440
but ghosting is easier. But either way, get far away
360
00:20:45.440 --> 00:20:48.680
from those people. One of the issues that Blake seemed
361
00:20:48.720 --> 00:20:50.680
to have was that he didn't like to be alone,
362
00:20:51.000 --> 00:20:54.160
and he was getting warm more lonely, so it was
363
00:20:54.240 --> 00:20:57.279
kind of like I hate you, don't leave me kind
364
00:20:57.279 --> 00:21:00.240
of deal, you know, And with his bad behavior, no
365
00:21:00.279 --> 00:21:02.680
one wants to be around him, but he's like, please
366
00:21:02.839 --> 00:21:08.000
don't leave me. Just toxic and never ends and it's gross.
367
00:21:08.319 --> 00:21:12.240
Well I shouldn't beh Yeah, yeah, I should. He's gross.
368
00:21:12.480 --> 00:21:15.200
He does terrible things. With all that money. You think
369
00:21:15.240 --> 00:21:17.880
he would have like got a therapist. I don't know
370
00:21:17.880 --> 00:21:21.519
why people are so anti therapist. They are just the best.
371
00:21:22.000 --> 00:21:25.400
So over the next four years, Blake became super erratic
372
00:21:25.599 --> 00:21:29.160
and very paranoid. And then one day during the summer
373
00:21:29.160 --> 00:21:32.640
of twenty fifteen, just out of nowhere, poof, Blake just
374
00:21:32.799 --> 00:21:36.960
picks up and he leaves his wife, Amanda, who might
375
00:21:37.000 --> 00:21:40.279
I add, was eight months pregnant with their second child.
376
00:21:42.359 --> 00:21:44.160
He just upped and left. Okay, it was like a
377
00:21:44.279 --> 00:21:51.960
light switch went off and like he just buy okay,
378
00:21:52.400 --> 00:21:56.599
midline crisis maybe huh maybe poor thing though she's like pregnant.
379
00:21:56.640 --> 00:21:59.640
It's the middle of summer. She's eight months pregnant, middle
380
00:21:59.680 --> 00:22:02.079
of summer. Okay, I hear, that's like the worst time
381
00:22:02.079 --> 00:22:06.039
to be pregnant. And he just up and leaves her goodbye.
382
00:22:06.319 --> 00:22:10.240
So Blake going through some kind of midlife crisis. He
383
00:22:10.319 --> 00:22:13.480
had met a new woman and she was just his
384
00:22:13.680 --> 00:22:18.359
new world. Who is this mysterious woman. Well, her name
385
00:22:18.480 --> 00:22:21.920
is Yana Kasian Yana. I'm just gonna call her Yana.
386
00:22:22.480 --> 00:22:27.720
That's her name. Great anyways, she was born January twenty seventh,
387
00:22:27.880 --> 00:22:34.240
nineteen eighty six in Kiev, in Kiv, Ukraine. Don't come
388
00:22:34.279 --> 00:22:41.400
for me. Yanna is apparently this beautiful tall brunette, dark
389
00:22:41.480 --> 00:22:44.799
eyes and a very warm and inviting smile. Her friends
390
00:22:44.799 --> 00:22:48.559
and family would describe Yana as like a very happy
391
00:22:48.599 --> 00:22:53.640
person with a strong character and a fighting spirit. Most
392
00:22:53.720 --> 00:22:56.160
she was just smart as hell to okay, because she
393
00:22:56.200 --> 00:22:59.160
was studying law in college and later she would work
394
00:22:59.200 --> 00:23:02.279
as a tax office this prosecutor in the Ukraine. So
395
00:23:02.319 --> 00:23:08.920
she's got brains, okay. She was fluent in English and Russian,
396
00:23:09.240 --> 00:23:11.640
and she had really big dreams of traveling the world
397
00:23:11.880 --> 00:23:14.880
and working as an interpreter. In twenty fourteen, while she
398
00:23:14.920 --> 00:23:17.519
was in her late twenties, she decided to follow her dreams,
399
00:23:17.759 --> 00:23:19.799
and that's when she came to the United States and
400
00:23:19.920 --> 00:23:22.480
hopes for I don't know, like a better future, you know.
401
00:23:22.799 --> 00:23:26.480
So she settled down in California. Of course, like Los Angeles,
402
00:23:26.880 --> 00:23:29.599
that's where a lot of people you know, I'm not hating,
403
00:23:29.640 --> 00:23:33.759
I'm just saying, like, So she settled down in California
404
00:23:33.799 --> 00:23:37.200
and she was able to land modeling jobs, okay, and
405
00:23:37.240 --> 00:23:39.680
she started to make like a career out of it. Now,
406
00:23:39.680 --> 00:23:43.880
It's not clear how or where Blake and Yana met
407
00:23:44.279 --> 00:23:49.160
Amanda's friends. They spread rumors that Yana, remember, Amanda, is
408
00:23:49.200 --> 00:23:52.720
the ex wife. So one night they find out that
409
00:23:52.960 --> 00:23:55.960
Blake is saying the Siana girl right, So they're all over,
410
00:23:56.079 --> 00:23:58.559
you know, typical girls are all over, and they start
411
00:23:59.079 --> 00:24:02.359
researching her, like looking into her background, and they believed
412
00:24:02.400 --> 00:24:04.960
that she was working for an escort service, and that's
413
00:24:05.000 --> 00:24:08.279
probably where they met, because they found racy and nude
414
00:24:08.279 --> 00:24:12.160
photos of her on a certain website, escort service or not.
415
00:24:12.519 --> 00:24:15.599
Blake was smitten and he was like taking her out
416
00:24:15.640 --> 00:24:20.680
on lavish trips, expensive dinners, and just spoiling her. Blake
417
00:24:20.839 --> 00:24:24.160
also bought her a condo for the two of them
418
00:24:24.200 --> 00:24:27.599
to move into. Anna Mercedes, she's believing that this guy
419
00:24:27.799 --> 00:24:31.319
is magical. Okay, he bought her car in a condo.
420
00:24:31.599 --> 00:24:36.799
Great Now. Blake did tell Yanna about Amanda the ex wife.
421
00:24:36.960 --> 00:24:39.039
He didn't hide his pass from her, and he didn't
422
00:24:39.079 --> 00:24:43.240
want any double life vibes going on, but he did
423
00:24:43.319 --> 00:24:46.279
tell her that his marriage was over, when in reality
424
00:24:46.599 --> 00:24:49.599
he was still very much married. I'm sorry I already
425
00:24:49.640 --> 00:24:51.200
called her the ex wife, but at this point they
426
00:24:51.279 --> 00:24:55.240
weren't ex's yet because he did file for divorce later
427
00:24:55.319 --> 00:24:59.519
that year, but by no means were they anywhere near it,
428
00:24:59.599 --> 00:25:03.039
being fined and being exes officially, so technically he was
429
00:25:03.079 --> 00:25:05.960
still married. You get it, you get it, you get it,
430
00:25:06.039 --> 00:25:08.079
you get it, you get it, you get it. Get it.
431
00:25:08.759 --> 00:25:12.880
So after a few months of dating Blake, he proposed
432
00:25:12.920 --> 00:25:15.240
to Yanna. He's like, I just love you so much,
433
00:25:15.440 --> 00:25:17.920
Oh my god, and he proposes to her. And then
434
00:25:18.000 --> 00:25:22.599
not long after that, he was now expecting not one kid,
435
00:25:22.640 --> 00:25:26.759
but two because his ex wife was pregnant. Yana was pregnant.
436
00:25:26.799 --> 00:25:30.519
She got pregnant in August of twenty fifteen. Yeah, just
437
00:25:30.680 --> 00:25:35.799
being very He's being very messy. And Yana was really
438
00:25:35.799 --> 00:25:38.680
excited because she always knew she wanted to be a mother.
439
00:25:39.039 --> 00:25:40.559
She just knew it was something she wanted to do.
440
00:25:40.839 --> 00:25:44.559
And on May third, twenty sixteen, Yanna gave birth to
441
00:25:44.720 --> 00:25:50.119
their daughter. She was thrilled. So after giving birth to
442
00:25:50.200 --> 00:25:53.440
her daughter, it seemed to Yana that her life was
443
00:25:53.559 --> 00:25:57.680
pretty perfect. She had a new baby girl, right, she
444
00:25:57.759 --> 00:26:02.640
was totally in love with this skuy Blankie and Jarny.
445
00:26:02.720 --> 00:26:04.960
She was with like a pretty wealthy man who loved
446
00:26:05.000 --> 00:26:08.799
her can't be mad at that. But Blake was definitely
447
00:26:08.880 --> 00:26:11.920
not on the same page. Okay, he was a little
448
00:26:12.039 --> 00:26:15.839
stressaholic over here. Based off some text messages that he
449
00:26:15.880 --> 00:26:18.559
had sent to his friends, he was worried that some
450
00:26:18.599 --> 00:26:22.440
of his brother's gambling debts might cause him to lose everything.
451
00:26:22.880 --> 00:26:26.720
I guess his brother, Cody had developed a bit of
452
00:26:26.759 --> 00:26:30.680
a gambling problem, which we knew about this from the
453
00:26:30.759 --> 00:26:34.559
celebrity ring that was going on, but he now also
454
00:26:34.640 --> 00:26:37.400
owed quite a lot of money to some Russian mobsters,
455
00:26:37.759 --> 00:26:40.839
and Blake now was afraid that they or other people
456
00:26:40.880 --> 00:26:44.039
associated with his brother's gambling game would come after him
457
00:26:44.160 --> 00:26:47.519
and threaten his family. It was just gonna get messy,
458
00:26:47.559 --> 00:26:49.279
and he knew it was gonna get messy, and he
459
00:26:49.319 --> 00:26:51.839
didn't know what to do. So it's kind of panicking. Okay,
460
00:26:51.920 --> 00:26:56.200
So gambling debt. That sucks, But that wasn't the only
461
00:26:56.279 --> 00:27:00.000
thing that was stressing Blake out. You see this little
462
00:27:00.160 --> 00:27:03.799
Boso over here, Boso Blake. Yeah, he seemed to have
463
00:27:03.799 --> 00:27:06.119
gotten himself into a little bit of a pickle. And
464
00:27:06.200 --> 00:27:08.279
it came to his love life. You see, he had
465
00:27:08.279 --> 00:27:10.039
a he had a wife right that he was in
466
00:27:10.079 --> 00:27:13.200
the process of divorcing, a fiance that had just given
467
00:27:13.240 --> 00:27:18.680
birth to their child, and a mistress. So he's juggling
468
00:27:18.759 --> 00:27:23.160
three women, Like, how do you have the time, how
469
00:27:23.200 --> 00:27:25.680
do you how do you do that? I don't know,
470
00:27:26.000 --> 00:27:28.079
what's why would you even want that? That sounds like
471
00:27:28.079 --> 00:27:30.279
you're gonna have a heart attack or an ulcer in
472
00:27:30.359 --> 00:27:34.519
like two minutes. Three women in her life. Okay, So
473
00:27:34.640 --> 00:27:38.559
Blake's third girlfriend, the mistress, she actually worked with him.
474
00:27:38.599 --> 00:27:42.119
She was like a storyboard artist. Her name was Constance
475
00:27:42.519 --> 00:27:45.119
and Blake also he ended up buying her a condo
476
00:27:45.279 --> 00:27:46.960
to live in, and it wasn't even that far from
477
00:27:47.000 --> 00:27:49.680
the home that he shared with Yanna. Yeah, it was
478
00:27:49.720 --> 00:27:51.839
like down the street, and I guess it just made
479
00:27:51.839 --> 00:27:54.279
it super easy for him, like just very convenient. He
480
00:27:54.279 --> 00:27:56.519
could just pop on, pop on out, go down the street,
481
00:27:56.599 --> 00:28:01.880
pop on into his mistress. This guy is so stupid.
482
00:28:02.319 --> 00:28:05.960
I know, this guy's such a dumbass. Okay, So he's
483
00:28:05.960 --> 00:28:08.440
got all these girlfriends, he's doing the most. We don't
484
00:28:08.480 --> 00:28:11.119
know why, and she just sounds so stressful. But what
485
00:28:11.240 --> 00:28:14.480
Blake didn't know was that Constance the new mistress girl.
486
00:28:14.759 --> 00:28:20.720
She contacted his ex wife Amanda. Okay, she found her somehow,
487
00:28:20.720 --> 00:28:24.039
because you know how, we are investigators. So she tells
488
00:28:24.079 --> 00:28:28.319
Amanda who she was, and her reasoning behind the introduction
489
00:28:29.079 --> 00:28:33.000
was to tell Amanda about Yana because Wisconsin's girl was like,
490
00:28:33.039 --> 00:28:35.160
I found this other girl named Yana, and I believe
491
00:28:35.279 --> 00:28:39.640
like she's girl number two. Constance just seemed to be
492
00:28:39.799 --> 00:28:42.279
very jealous and wanted to make sure that Amanda knew
493
00:28:42.279 --> 00:28:45.599
what was going on too. You know, if I'm going down,
494
00:28:45.680 --> 00:28:48.599
we're all going down. But they kind of formed a
495
00:28:48.640 --> 00:28:53.559
weird friendship over their hatred, their mutual hatred for Yana. Yeah, Yanna,
496
00:28:53.720 --> 00:28:57.000
not the guy, Blakey, not him. They hate the girl.
497
00:28:57.160 --> 00:28:58.920
So they would text each other saying shit like we
498
00:28:58.960 --> 00:29:02.960
should get Yanna to ported. They were just being evil
499
00:29:02.960 --> 00:29:07.440
little rodents, okay, just nasty, and they're mad at the
500
00:29:07.440 --> 00:29:10.079
wrong person. That's not who you should be mad at.
501
00:29:10.079 --> 00:29:12.960
You should be mad at Blake the douchebag over here.
502
00:29:13.200 --> 00:29:16.640
What's he doing with three girlfriends? Nobody's worth that. I'm
503
00:29:16.640 --> 00:29:19.519
like foaming at the mouth. Mm. So they're just being
504
00:29:19.519 --> 00:29:23.359
evil little rodents, okay. And either way, the friendship between
505
00:29:23.359 --> 00:29:26.480
Amanda and Constance, it was just weird and they should
506
00:29:26.480 --> 00:29:29.759
have been more focused on taking Blake down, But why
507
00:29:29.759 --> 00:29:34.000
do girls do that? So Yanna, she's having problems of
508
00:29:34.039 --> 00:29:37.799
her own. It seems like Blake is extra stress lately,
509
00:29:38.359 --> 00:29:40.839
and it just seems like things are really bubbling up
510
00:29:40.839 --> 00:29:44.720
inside of him. She's just like becoming more controlling over her.
511
00:29:46.200 --> 00:29:50.720
For example, while Yanna was still recovering from her C section,
512
00:29:51.279 --> 00:29:53.720
Blake threatened to leave her if she didn't have sex
513
00:29:53.759 --> 00:29:57.880
with him when he demanded it. Yeah, gross ass pig,
514
00:29:58.640 --> 00:30:00.720
But I mean, this is the freaking kind of person.
515
00:30:00.759 --> 00:30:04.119
This guy was gross and like, if that's not bad enough,
516
00:30:04.279 --> 00:30:07.319
Blake would apparently also ask her if he could leave
517
00:30:07.359 --> 00:30:12.839
her to go out with another woman. I mean, I
518
00:30:12.920 --> 00:30:15.119
was about to say, at least he's telling her, but
519
00:30:15.240 --> 00:30:17.920
doesn't make it better because he's manning sex from someone
520
00:30:17.920 --> 00:30:21.039
who just gave him a baby, right, She's healing from
521
00:30:21.079 --> 00:30:24.640
surgery and then he's asking or telling her that he's
522
00:30:24.640 --> 00:30:27.079
gonna go sleep with another woman. It's just like, I
523
00:30:27.119 --> 00:30:29.880
don't know this. He just had this poor girl under
524
00:30:29.880 --> 00:30:33.119
his thumb like she was caught up in it all.
525
00:30:33.200 --> 00:30:36.160
Poor thing. If you've ever been in one of these relationships,
526
00:30:36.720 --> 00:30:38.440
look a lot of you are thinking, why doesn't she
527
00:30:38.599 --> 00:30:40.920
just leave. And let me tell you right now, if
528
00:30:40.960 --> 00:30:44.200
you've ever been in one of these relationships, they're really
529
00:30:44.240 --> 00:30:49.079
difficult to get out. Okay, you become brainwashed, you become stuck,
530
00:30:49.079 --> 00:30:52.000
You feel like you can't go anywhere that without them,
531
00:30:52.039 --> 00:30:54.279
you're nothing. They're going to destroy you, they threaten you.
532
00:30:54.720 --> 00:30:57.359
They just consume your whole life, and you become like
533
00:30:57.519 --> 00:31:02.319
very addicted to this person's life. Love. It's very strange,
534
00:31:02.960 --> 00:31:05.400
and you truly feel like you can't get out of it.
535
00:31:06.400 --> 00:31:10.279
So before you comment, why didn't she just leave? Unless
536
00:31:10.279 --> 00:31:13.000
you've been in it, it's really hard to explain. You
537
00:31:13.119 --> 00:31:18.279
just you can't. It's weird. It sucks. So Yanna's mom
538
00:31:18.359 --> 00:31:22.160
was coming out. Her name's Olga Olga, So she's coming
539
00:31:22.200 --> 00:31:24.319
out and she, you know, she's gonna help her daughter
540
00:31:24.559 --> 00:31:27.400
just had a newborn baby, you know, so mom wants
541
00:31:27.440 --> 00:31:29.880
to help and be there for her daughter in this moment,
542
00:31:29.960 --> 00:31:33.400
and you know, you know great. So her mom comes
543
00:31:33.400 --> 00:31:37.680
out and then somehow Blake convinces Yanna's mom to keep
544
00:31:37.680 --> 00:31:40.720
the newborn baby at the apartment she was renting so
545
00:31:40.839 --> 00:31:43.920
Yanna could take like take better care of him. The
546
00:31:43.960 --> 00:31:47.799
baby was distracting that baby. No distracting. You need to
547
00:31:47.839 --> 00:31:50.160
take care of me. I'm the baby. That's what Blake
548
00:31:50.240 --> 00:31:52.920
is saying. I'm the baby. He asks, can you rom
549
00:31:53.000 --> 00:31:58.160
take it? Like anyways? Olga ends up telling her daughter
550
00:31:58.240 --> 00:32:01.799
like this is not okay, okay, he's controlling you like
551
00:32:01.839 --> 00:32:04.880
a hawk. He wants you to do everything he wants.
552
00:32:05.440 --> 00:32:08.759
And Yanna is like, well, I love him, so it's fine.
553
00:32:08.759 --> 00:32:10.839
But her mom is trying to warn her and help
554
00:32:10.880 --> 00:32:13.359
her get out or at least see what's really going on.
555
00:32:13.599 --> 00:32:16.240
So super late on the night of May twentieth, like
556
00:32:16.319 --> 00:32:19.319
it's after midnight, okay, Yana gets a call and it's Blake,
557
00:32:20.079 --> 00:32:23.559
you know, bring blingling, blingling, yeah, blingling, And she's like
558
00:32:23.599 --> 00:32:25.920
where are you and like why aren't you home helping
559
00:32:25.920 --> 00:32:28.799
me with our baby? Great questions, and Blake is like,
560
00:32:28.839 --> 00:32:30.880
I need you to come family out of jail, and
561
00:32:30.920 --> 00:32:32.720
Yanna is like, what do you mean you're in jail?
562
00:32:32.880 --> 00:32:35.720
You know, surprise he's in jail. Well, she agrees to
563
00:32:35.720 --> 00:32:37.759
go out there and post his bill, which is one
564
00:32:37.799 --> 00:32:40.200
hundred thousand dollars. She's like, why the hell are you
565
00:32:40.279 --> 00:32:44.720
in jail? Well, let me tell you. Blake was arrested
566
00:32:44.759 --> 00:32:49.400
on suspicion of sexual assault Constance Girl number three. She
567
00:32:49.480 --> 00:32:52.640
accused Blake of raping her. And now, prior to this,
568
00:32:53.240 --> 00:32:56.519
she didn't know about this constant girl. But boy did
569
00:32:56.559 --> 00:32:59.759
she know now. She knew, she knew now, and she
570
00:32:59.839 --> 00:33:03.279
was very upset, to say the least. Yanna didn't just
571
00:33:03.319 --> 00:33:06.440
find out about him cheating. Everything was uncovered. She found
572
00:33:06.480 --> 00:33:09.079
out about the condo he bought for her, Yeah, that
573
00:33:09.160 --> 00:33:11.400
it was just down the street. She could look out
574
00:33:11.440 --> 00:33:14.880
the window and be like, oh, okay, he was there.
575
00:33:15.519 --> 00:33:18.279
It all came to the surface, like all of his lies,
576
00:33:18.599 --> 00:33:21.400
how long it's been going on. I mean, I'm just
577
00:33:21.559 --> 00:33:24.519
that's sad. That sucks. So Yana finally stood up herself
578
00:33:24.599 --> 00:33:27.000
and she told Blake that she was done right, she
579
00:33:27.079 --> 00:33:28.480
was done, and she's going to move in with her
580
00:33:28.519 --> 00:33:32.000
mother and she can't take it anymore. Good for her.
581
00:33:32.279 --> 00:33:34.119
So Yana and the baby move in with her mom
582
00:33:34.200 --> 00:33:37.119
at the apartment that mom was renting. And a couple
583
00:33:37.240 --> 00:33:40.119
days later, Yana and mom are out shopping for a
584
00:33:40.160 --> 00:33:43.640
stroller and Blake is like texting Yana saying like I'm
585
00:33:43.680 --> 00:33:46.160
so sorry, I love you, like I can't live without you.
586
00:33:48.119 --> 00:33:52.559
Don't follow it, and Mom saw Yana's attitude just completely change.
587
00:33:52.680 --> 00:33:55.640
She was like happy again, and she tells her mom like,
588
00:33:55.680 --> 00:33:58.000
I'm gonna go see him. Will you keep the baby
589
00:33:58.039 --> 00:34:00.279
for a bit? And her mom's not excited about that.
590
00:34:00.319 --> 00:34:03.160
She is not thrilled, but she cannot convince Yana to
591
00:34:03.200 --> 00:34:07.119
stay home, but she takes her granddaughter the baby, and
592
00:34:07.680 --> 00:34:11.920
Yanna goes back over to Blake's house or their old
593
00:34:11.960 --> 00:34:16.000
condo you know so yes. The next day, on May
594
00:34:16.039 --> 00:34:19.199
twenty fourth, Yana had not returned to her mom's apartment.
595
00:34:19.519 --> 00:34:21.800
So Olga is sending her daughter a bunch of text
596
00:34:21.840 --> 00:34:25.800
messages like where are you? You know, yes, and she's
597
00:34:25.840 --> 00:34:29.079
getting no response. So then she tries to call Yana
598
00:34:29.119 --> 00:34:32.199
and she's getting no response, so she keeps calling, she
599
00:34:32.239 --> 00:34:35.800
keeps texting, like a dozen times, no answer. She leaves voicemails,
600
00:34:36.239 --> 00:34:39.599
and Yanna just never calls her back. So Olga resorts too.
601
00:34:39.639 --> 00:34:43.480
I'm laughing because she resorts to sending emails, which means
602
00:34:43.559 --> 00:34:46.719
like she's really not responding, So she's emailing her daughter
603
00:34:46.760 --> 00:34:49.920
like what the hell, where are you? Nothing. At this point,
604
00:34:49.960 --> 00:34:53.440
Olga knows that something is not right, something is very wrong.
605
00:34:53.679 --> 00:34:56.159
So mom decides, you know what I'm just going to
606
00:34:56.199 --> 00:34:59.519
go down to the apartment not far and I'm just
607
00:34:59.519 --> 00:35:03.320
gonna see what's going on. You know. She has a
608
00:35:03.360 --> 00:35:06.480
three week old baby with her and her daughter's missing, right,
609
00:35:06.800 --> 00:35:09.159
So she calls the police. Okay, she calls him up,
610
00:35:09.320 --> 00:35:11.599
and they just kind of blow her off, saying that
611
00:35:11.679 --> 00:35:14.440
Yanna hasn't been missing for long enough and they're sure
612
00:35:14.440 --> 00:35:16.719
that she's gonna come back. And she, I mean, what
613
00:35:16.719 --> 00:35:18.760
are you supposed to do in that case? One of
614
00:35:18.760 --> 00:35:21.679
the police officers tell you that, you know, it's frustrating.
615
00:35:22.000 --> 00:35:24.840
Mom decides to take matters into her own hands. So
616
00:35:25.000 --> 00:35:28.840
Olga she goes down to Blake and Yana's West Hollywood
617
00:35:28.880 --> 00:35:32.440
apartment and then she sees that there's an open window, right,
618
00:35:32.519 --> 00:35:35.559
So she's like standing outside and she's screaming. She's like, Blake,
619
00:35:35.599 --> 00:35:38.719
open the door. It's me. So she's yelling, Blake, Blake,
620
00:35:38.880 --> 00:35:42.199
you know, m and Blake ends up coming over to
621
00:35:42.239 --> 00:35:44.559
the window and he doesn't even acknowledge her. He just
622
00:35:44.679 --> 00:35:48.880
closes the window and then he just disappears back into
623
00:35:48.920 --> 00:35:51.599
the apartment. So Olga's like, oh fuck no. She ends
624
00:35:51.719 --> 00:35:54.760
up going around to the backside of the building and
625
00:35:54.760 --> 00:35:58.039
then she finds that another tenant is like leaving the complex,
626
00:35:58.199 --> 00:35:59.960
so the door's open and she's able to get in
627
00:36:00.039 --> 00:36:02.320
because it's locked, you know. She ends up getting into
628
00:36:02.320 --> 00:36:06.000
the complex, and then she goes to Blake's apartment and
629
00:36:06.039 --> 00:36:08.639
she's knocking and she's ringing the doorbell and she's getting
630
00:36:08.639 --> 00:36:10.280
no answer, and she's like, I, no, you're in there.
631
00:36:10.320 --> 00:36:13.599
I just literally saw you. Stop being dumb. So Olga
632
00:36:13.679 --> 00:36:15.960
calls the police again and she's finally able to convince
633
00:36:15.960 --> 00:36:18.800
two officers to do a wellness check on Yana, so
634
00:36:18.840 --> 00:36:21.559
they come out. They're knocking on Blake's door, but Blake
635
00:36:21.639 --> 00:36:24.840
refuses to answer. So Blake ends up opening the door
636
00:36:24.880 --> 00:36:27.320
and he kind of like starts talking through the door,
637
00:36:27.440 --> 00:36:30.480
being like what do you want to the police? Yeah,
638
00:36:30.599 --> 00:36:33.079
and they're like we're looking for Yana, and Blake's like,
639
00:36:33.320 --> 00:36:35.880
Yana's fine, you could go, but the cops are waiting
640
00:36:35.960 --> 00:36:40.000
because they want to see her, right, and so they're
641
00:36:40.039 --> 00:36:42.760
standing around and they're not leaving, and Blake is telling
642
00:36:42.800 --> 00:36:46.239
the police officers and those outside like, Yana's fine, she
643
00:36:46.280 --> 00:36:49.800
doesn't want to come out. I don't know why because
644
00:36:49.800 --> 00:36:52.360
this to me doesn't sound right, but whatever, because they
645
00:36:52.360 --> 00:36:55.159
didn't have any proof that there was a problem, so
646
00:36:55.199 --> 00:36:57.519
the police ended up leaving. But I feel like the
647
00:36:57.559 --> 00:36:59.519
fact that they didn't see Yana that should have been
648
00:36:59.599 --> 00:37:02.440
proof enough that there was a problem, because they never
649
00:37:02.480 --> 00:37:06.119
saw her, like was just like, yeah, she's fine, what's
650
00:37:06.119 --> 00:37:09.760
that sweetie. Yeah, she told me that she's fine, not
651
00:37:09.800 --> 00:37:12.760
that you should leave. So Olga, her mom ends up
652
00:37:12.800 --> 00:37:15.039
going home because like she feels like there's nothing she
653
00:37:15.079 --> 00:37:18.199
could do, poor thing. So she ends up going home.
654
00:37:19.079 --> 00:37:21.800
And the next day, on May twenty six, Olga she's
655
00:37:21.800 --> 00:37:24.079
had enough. Okay, she's had enough, and she's gonna take
656
00:37:24.119 --> 00:37:26.119
matters since you're her own hands. She calls nine one
657
00:37:26.119 --> 00:37:29.000
one saying that she needs their help, and this time
658
00:37:29.039 --> 00:37:33.800
the police come to the apartment and she tells them
659
00:37:33.840 --> 00:37:37.199
that she fears Yana might be in medical distress because
660
00:37:37.199 --> 00:37:39.519
she had just given birth. So the police arrived at
661
00:37:39.559 --> 00:37:42.599
the complex at eleven fifty am on May twenty six.
662
00:37:42.960 --> 00:37:44.800
They get a key from the realtor, but when they
663
00:37:44.800 --> 00:37:47.360
try to open the door, they find that the apartment
664
00:37:47.559 --> 00:37:50.599
had been locked from the inside. They had like one
665
00:37:50.599 --> 00:37:53.280
of those bar locks in the hotel rooms, you know.
666
00:37:53.840 --> 00:37:57.079
So this leaves the cops with the only option to
667
00:37:57.159 --> 00:38:00.599
break the door down. So once they get the door down,
668
00:38:01.199 --> 00:38:03.159
they walk down the hallway and they see that the
669
00:38:03.239 --> 00:38:05.719
door lean to the bedrooms. It was not just locked,
670
00:38:05.760 --> 00:38:08.679
but it was also like barricaded with furniture. And it's like, oh,
671
00:38:08.679 --> 00:38:11.199
that's weird, right. Whenever it's going on, it's going on
672
00:38:11.280 --> 00:38:14.320
in that room. So after cops get through the barricade,
673
00:38:14.920 --> 00:38:17.400
they take the door off its hinges, and that's when
674
00:38:17.440 --> 00:38:22.719
police get their real first understanding of what they might
675
00:38:22.760 --> 00:38:25.760
be in for. As they make their way into the
676
00:38:25.800 --> 00:38:28.679
master bedroom, they look in the guest bedroom and see
677
00:38:28.719 --> 00:38:32.079
blood everywhere. There is blood all over the headboard and
678
00:38:32.199 --> 00:38:35.920
on the walls. So when they got into the master bedroom,
679
00:38:36.239 --> 00:38:39.559
they discovered that it was also locked and barricaded. And
680
00:38:39.599 --> 00:38:42.639
Blake he got the mattress from the guest bedroom and
681
00:38:42.679 --> 00:38:45.320
he put it up against the door. So the police
682
00:38:45.360 --> 00:38:48.400
were like, hey, come out, if there's anyone inside, like,
683
00:38:48.440 --> 00:38:53.599
you should come out. We're here, and Blake calls out
684
00:38:53.679 --> 00:38:55.880
from inside the bedroom. He's like, I'm not coming out
685
00:38:55.880 --> 00:38:57.920
because you guys are going to beat me up. And
686
00:38:58.000 --> 00:39:00.239
the cops are like, well, yeah, of course we are.
687
00:39:00.480 --> 00:39:02.440
We're not going to beat you up. We're looking for Yanna,
688
00:39:02.599 --> 00:39:04.519
but we might beat you up. You know. They're trying
689
00:39:04.559 --> 00:39:06.800
to reassure him that they're not going to beat him up.
690
00:39:06.800 --> 00:39:09.119
So they're asking like, where's Yanna. We're just looking for Yanna,
691
00:39:09.440 --> 00:39:11.920
and Blake's yelling at them like she's not here, and
692
00:39:11.960 --> 00:39:15.079
the cops are thinking like, yeah, freakin' right right. So,
693
00:39:15.280 --> 00:39:18.119
at some point, prior to the police showing up, Blake
694
00:39:18.320 --> 00:39:22.039
from inside the house, he had called his accountant. I
695
00:39:22.079 --> 00:39:23.800
thought it I would think it was his attorney, but
696
00:39:23.840 --> 00:39:27.440
I guess it was an accountant for some reason. The
697
00:39:27.480 --> 00:39:32.159
accountant went to the house okay, and they showed up
698
00:39:32.159 --> 00:39:34.760
with the police, and the accountant is trying to talk
699
00:39:34.800 --> 00:39:37.119
to Blake to come out of the bedroom with the police,
700
00:39:37.440 --> 00:39:39.760
because this is a man that like, he trusts, so
701
00:39:40.639 --> 00:39:43.639
it was gonna work. Finally, Blake is like, okay, I'll
702
00:39:43.639 --> 00:39:46.280
come out, but can you pass me some clothes that
703
00:39:46.320 --> 00:39:48.480
are in the living room, And the accountant is like, sure,
704
00:39:48.559 --> 00:39:50.880
let me go get them. And the cops are no dummies,
705
00:39:51.199 --> 00:39:54.519
so they searched the clothes and first they find Blake's
706
00:39:54.559 --> 00:39:58.480
passport in the pockets, and also four thousand dollars in cash,
707
00:39:58.599 --> 00:40:01.639
so clearly the guy was trying to make an escape, right,
708
00:40:01.679 --> 00:40:04.400
He's probably gonna jump out the window or something and
709
00:40:04.480 --> 00:40:06.880
run for it. The accountant calls out like, hey man,
710
00:40:06.920 --> 00:40:09.480
I've got your clothes, and then finally Blake opens up
711
00:40:09.519 --> 00:40:12.159
the door and he walks out in only a pair
712
00:40:12.199 --> 00:40:15.800
of his boxer shorts, and behind him the police see
713
00:40:15.800 --> 00:40:19.000
a naked body of thirty year old Yanna laying on
714
00:40:19.039 --> 00:40:22.599
the bed, covered by a red mackey Mouse blanket. So
715
00:40:22.639 --> 00:40:25.039
they go on and Yanna is pronounced dead at one
716
00:40:25.079 --> 00:40:29.760
o two pm. So police ask Blake how did Yanna die?
717
00:40:29.800 --> 00:40:31.440
You know? And Blake was like, oh, I didn't even
718
00:40:31.480 --> 00:40:38.880
know she was dead. I thought she's still alive. Yeah,
719
00:40:38.960 --> 00:40:42.079
He's like, I don't know she was dead. I hate
720
00:40:42.119 --> 00:40:44.000
this guy, just a waste of her day on time.
721
00:40:44.519 --> 00:40:46.480
And the cops are like, yeah, she's dead in that
722
00:40:46.559 --> 00:40:49.639
bad red behind you, and then Blake looks at them
723
00:40:49.639 --> 00:40:51.519
and goes, well, I guess you'll have to find out
724
00:40:51.559 --> 00:40:53.360
who did it. Then science is going to tell you
725
00:40:53.360 --> 00:41:01.920
who did this. Yeah, science is gonna tell us. So
726
00:41:03.480 --> 00:41:08.000
I don't know. I don't know. I want to say
727
00:41:08.000 --> 00:41:11.079
this guy has gone completely mental, but I mean, I
728
00:41:11.119 --> 00:41:14.320
don't know. The crime scene is reported as the most
729
00:41:14.400 --> 00:41:18.920
gruesome murder in the history of Los Angeles or West Hollywood,
730
00:41:18.960 --> 00:41:21.320
I should say, if not Los Angeles. And then when
731
00:41:21.320 --> 00:41:23.559
the cops are finally able to get to the master bedroom,
732
00:41:23.599 --> 00:41:26.559
they find Iana laying on the bed. Her head was
733
00:41:26.599 --> 00:41:28.840
on her pillow, and she's covered again by that red
734
00:41:28.880 --> 00:41:31.119
mickey mouse like blanket. It looks like it might have
735
00:41:31.199 --> 00:41:34.920
been taken from the daughter's room. And she's covered all
736
00:41:34.960 --> 00:41:37.639
the way up to her chin with the blanket. There's
737
00:41:37.679 --> 00:41:39.599
a pillow next to her and it has like a
738
00:41:39.639 --> 00:41:42.280
fresh indent in it, as if someone had been lying
739
00:41:42.360 --> 00:41:48.000
next to her. Yeah. Cops describe her as almost looking peaceful,
740
00:41:48.280 --> 00:41:50.360
but there was a large blood stain on the wall
741
00:41:50.400 --> 00:41:53.000
that looked like someone had tried to clean it up.
742
00:41:53.360 --> 00:41:57.440
When the police first inspect the body, they discovered that
743
00:41:57.760 --> 00:42:01.440
she Okay, this is gonna be gruesome, kind of gruesome.
744
00:42:01.599 --> 00:42:06.719
It's a lot of gruesome, actually, Fyi. Okay. When the
745
00:42:06.760 --> 00:42:10.000
cops first inspect Yana's body, they discovered that she had
746
00:42:10.000 --> 00:42:15.239
been scalped, Yeah, scalped. Police find pieces of her flesh
747
00:42:15.360 --> 00:42:17.920
in the bed behind the mattress, and on the floor
748
00:42:18.440 --> 00:42:22.000
they find one of her eyebrows. One of her eyebrows
749
00:42:22.280 --> 00:42:27.199
got off, removed, thrown, thrown on the floor near the bed,
750
00:42:27.440 --> 00:42:33.239
and they noticed she's missing an ear. H it's a
751
00:42:33.280 --> 00:42:35.960
little what was going on here, it's a little much.
752
00:42:36.559 --> 00:42:39.519
The cops also noticed something weird about Yana's body aside
753
00:42:39.519 --> 00:42:43.880
from the mutilation. She was extremely pale. And that's not
754
00:42:43.920 --> 00:42:46.880
all that's weird. What's super weird was that there was
755
00:42:46.920 --> 00:42:50.840
like a lack of blood at the crime scene. There
756
00:42:50.880 --> 00:42:52.639
was a lot of blood, Like, where was the blood.
757
00:42:54.039 --> 00:42:56.599
She was brutally attacked, she was scalped in, you know,
758
00:42:56.639 --> 00:42:59.320
she was brutally murdered. There should have been more blood.
759
00:42:59.320 --> 00:43:01.679
There should have been bloo everywhere, and there were only
760
00:43:01.679 --> 00:43:04.519
some spots on the floor next to the bed, But
761
00:43:04.559 --> 00:43:07.519
the bed sheet that Yana was laying on was completely clean.
762
00:43:08.360 --> 00:43:10.800
So police begin to inspect the crime scene more closely,
763
00:43:11.119 --> 00:43:15.000
and that's when they begin to understand what really really happened.
764
00:43:15.360 --> 00:43:19.800
Blood spatter evidence suggested that Yana was on the bed
765
00:43:19.840 --> 00:43:22.719
when they attack first started, and then in the bedroom
766
00:43:22.760 --> 00:43:25.599
they find a knife and a razor that were probably
767
00:43:25.719 --> 00:43:31.480
used on her to do some shit that's messed up,
768
00:43:32.280 --> 00:43:35.960
and after removing the bed sheets, cops find that the
769
00:43:36.000 --> 00:43:39.199
mattress is stained with blood, but the sheet was clean
770
00:43:39.440 --> 00:43:43.880
and the mattress at the time was dry, so they're like, well,
771
00:43:43.920 --> 00:43:46.199
she must have been moved somewhere else in the apartment.
772
00:43:47.679 --> 00:43:52.199
So the police come out and they use that blue star.
773
00:43:52.519 --> 00:43:55.840
It's that lega what do you call that stuff? It
774
00:43:55.920 --> 00:43:58.079
lights up all the blood that you spray it onto
775
00:43:58.119 --> 00:44:00.440
a surface, and if there's been blood on the surface,
776
00:44:00.519 --> 00:44:02.559
it lights up blue. You've seen it's and all the
777
00:44:02.599 --> 00:44:07.760
crime stuff, right, Okay, it's actually fascinating, right, because you
778
00:44:07.880 --> 00:44:11.639
just spray this stuff and it finds blood. They spray it, Okay,
779
00:44:11.840 --> 00:44:14.320
they spray it in like the bathroom and stuff in
780
00:44:14.360 --> 00:44:16.679
the living room and whatnot, and the blue star it
781
00:44:16.760 --> 00:44:19.280
reveals where the blood had once been and like where
782
00:44:19.400 --> 00:44:22.440
cleaning substances had been used to remove it. Because it
783
00:44:22.440 --> 00:44:24.159
wasn't visible to the eye, but it was visible to
784
00:44:24.199 --> 00:44:28.360
the blue light. So cops sprayed the room and it
785
00:44:28.559 --> 00:44:31.400
just lights up. Okay, it was bright. It actually lit
786
00:44:31.480 --> 00:44:34.400
up the hallway. There was evidence that blood had been
787
00:44:34.440 --> 00:44:37.079
on the floors and the walls. Same thing with the
788
00:44:37.119 --> 00:44:40.519
guest bedroom. It just looked like a super fucked up
789
00:44:40.519 --> 00:44:42.960
like nightclub because it was so blue. It said, it
790
00:44:43.039 --> 00:44:47.400
was very very bright. Also, investigators go and check the
791
00:44:47.440 --> 00:44:50.320
bathroom and in there they find a razor with clumps
792
00:44:50.320 --> 00:44:52.639
of dark hair stuck to it, and there are some
793
00:44:52.719 --> 00:44:55.800
blood stains and hair in the top, but otherwise it
794
00:44:55.840 --> 00:44:58.840
looks super clean. But of course when they sprayed that
795
00:44:58.920 --> 00:45:03.800
blue star stuff, the whole bathroom just shined bright like
796
00:45:03.880 --> 00:45:07.920
a diamond. It just like was everything was covered in
797
00:45:08.639 --> 00:45:14.840
blood and he cleaned it up. Yeah, just again. Police
798
00:45:14.960 --> 00:45:18.199
think that maybe after Blake dragged her around the apartment,
799
00:45:18.559 --> 00:45:20.920
he then got her into the bathroom and gave her
800
00:45:20.960 --> 00:45:23.320
a bath. And when they first arrived, they had noticed
801
00:45:23.320 --> 00:45:25.880
that the water was running in the tub and someone
802
00:45:25.960 --> 00:45:29.400
went and turned off the water when the cops first arrived,
803
00:45:30.360 --> 00:45:34.159
like yesterday or you know yesterday in the story. I mean, clearly,
804
00:45:34.159 --> 00:45:39.320
there's concrete evidence that the bathtub was heavily used. Clearly
805
00:45:39.360 --> 00:45:41.960
Blake had used a lot of cleaning supplies to clean
806
00:45:42.039 --> 00:45:44.519
up that much blood, but there's no evidence of those
807
00:45:44.559 --> 00:45:48.559
cleaning supplies inside of the apartment. That's when the police
808
00:45:48.599 --> 00:45:51.119
noticed that there's a trash chute like right near the
809
00:45:51.159 --> 00:45:54.679
door to their apartment, So they hurry on downstairs to
810
00:45:54.840 --> 00:45:57.760
the basement, and that's where they get eleven trash bags
811
00:45:57.760 --> 00:46:00.320
that are full of evidence. That's where they find the
812
00:46:00.360 --> 00:46:03.679
bloody sheets, bloody clothes, and then in the trash backs
813
00:46:03.679 --> 00:46:09.039
they also find a couple of Yanna's body parts. They
814
00:46:09.039 --> 00:46:13.199
found like her ear and stuff. It was just not ideal,
815
00:46:13.719 --> 00:46:18.559
but I mean they found it, but that's still whatever.
816
00:46:18.639 --> 00:46:23.320
You know, Blake sucks ass copson find a bed skirt
817
00:46:23.360 --> 00:46:26.039
and on this bedskirt it had a bloody handprint. But
818
00:46:26.119 --> 00:46:29.159
not just any bloody handprint own ana. It was a
819
00:46:29.199 --> 00:46:34.880
handprint that was an exact match to Blake's. They're like, yes, jackpot, hello,
820
00:46:35.000 --> 00:46:38.960
we did it. Mystery solved, So cops know for sure
821
00:46:39.119 --> 00:46:41.960
that this guy he's involved because Blake at the time
822
00:46:42.079 --> 00:46:44.679
was missing the top part of his pinky on his
823
00:46:44.800 --> 00:46:51.840
right hand, and so was the handprint. Mystery solved. Unfortunately,
824
00:46:52.199 --> 00:46:55.840
just another one that could have been prevented. So obviously
825
00:46:56.039 --> 00:47:00.960
Blake arrests. Did okay taken down to the station and
826
00:47:01.119 --> 00:47:03.880
they take his muckshot, super weird muckshot because he's like
827
00:47:03.960 --> 00:47:06.159
has all these scratches and bruises all over his face
828
00:47:06.360 --> 00:47:10.960
and he's like smiling. It's just creepy. Yeah. So on
829
00:47:11.000 --> 00:47:14.519
May thirty first, Blake makes a court appearance and he's
830
00:47:14.559 --> 00:47:18.760
wearing his padded He's wearing a padded suicide jacket. He
831
00:47:18.840 --> 00:47:22.199
has chains wrapped around his wrists and they cuffed, they
832
00:47:22.239 --> 00:47:24.559
cuffed in the front of his body. He was being
833
00:47:24.719 --> 00:47:32.159
formally charged with murder, torture, mayhem and aggravated mayhem. Mayhem, Mayhem,
834
00:47:32.199 --> 00:47:37.280
Mayhem Mayhem. Great. It's just funny because, like, there are
835
00:47:37.320 --> 00:47:40.440
so many cases where people plead not guilty and you're like, dude,
836
00:47:40.559 --> 00:47:42.519
I don't think they are guilty, you know, like they
837
00:47:42.599 --> 00:47:45.239
might actually not be guilty. But then there's like dumb
838
00:47:45.320 --> 00:47:49.840
little rowboats like this guy and it's obvious that he's guilty,
839
00:47:49.880 --> 00:47:54.440
but he's like, mmm, not guilty. That's what's he think
840
00:47:54.519 --> 00:47:57.159
is going to happen. They're going to agree with that.
841
00:47:59.159 --> 00:48:02.519
I'll just be on honest, save us all some damn time.
842
00:48:02.880 --> 00:48:04.840
So they give him a test with a psychiatrists to
843
00:48:04.840 --> 00:48:07.920
see if he could stand trial. He passes with flying colors.
844
00:48:07.960 --> 00:48:11.320
He can definitely stand trial. The prosecution gets to work
845
00:48:11.559 --> 00:48:14.400
building their case, right, So the biggest question for them
846
00:48:14.480 --> 00:48:17.400
was like what was the motive? Why did Blake kill Yana.
847
00:48:17.800 --> 00:48:21.400
So during interrogation, Blake told cops at one point, quote,
848
00:48:21.559 --> 00:48:23.880
women don't like me. If it wasn't for money, women
849
00:48:23.920 --> 00:48:27.400
wouldn't like me. End quote. We also know that Blake
850
00:48:27.480 --> 00:48:31.599
tried to control Yana after she gave birth, forcing her
851
00:48:31.599 --> 00:48:33.760
to have sex with him, so maybe he felt like
852
00:48:33.840 --> 00:48:39.079
he was losing control over her. During the investigation, police
853
00:48:39.119 --> 00:48:42.559
had a lot of roadblocks. No one who knew Blake
854
00:48:42.719 --> 00:48:46.599
wanted to talk to them, like nobody, no family, no friends.
855
00:48:46.800 --> 00:48:48.920
No one wanted to speak on camera. No one wanted
856
00:48:48.920 --> 00:48:52.599
to go into court. They didn't even want to show
857
00:48:52.639 --> 00:48:55.360
their face in court at all. In the pews are
858
00:48:55.400 --> 00:48:58.320
they called pews? I always forget to look that up,
859
00:48:58.920 --> 00:49:01.079
but no one. So, well, there are one hundred percent
860
00:49:01.119 --> 00:49:05.079
relying on evidence for this, this whole case. Well and
861
00:49:05.119 --> 00:49:09.199
the autopsy, which good thing they have, like hardcore evidence.
862
00:49:09.639 --> 00:49:12.800
So some of the biggest pieces of evidence for this
863
00:49:12.920 --> 00:49:16.760
case was the autopsy report, which was finally released to
864
00:49:16.760 --> 00:49:19.840
the public on September twentieth, twenty seventeen. It said that
865
00:49:19.920 --> 00:49:23.599
Yana she was killed between May twenty third and May
866
00:49:23.639 --> 00:49:26.639
twenty six. On her autopsy report, it said that she
867
00:49:26.840 --> 00:49:29.760
had a lot of head trauma. But most of all,
868
00:49:29.960 --> 00:49:33.800
she had no blood in her system like she Okay, look,
869
00:49:34.000 --> 00:49:38.079
the average human contains about five liters of blood correct, yes,
870
00:49:38.960 --> 00:49:42.440
which is about one and a half gallons. That really
871
00:49:42.440 --> 00:49:45.599
doesn't seem like that much, huh. Okay, Well, she was
872
00:49:45.639 --> 00:49:48.639
found with less than a tea spoon left in her
873
00:49:48.880 --> 00:49:51.559
so ultimately, this poor girl bled to death. But it's
874
00:49:51.599 --> 00:49:54.360
just like not a super common way to kill somebody.
875
00:49:54.519 --> 00:49:58.159
The autopsy report also clearly spells out exactly what the
876
00:49:58.159 --> 00:50:01.599
police saw when they entered the bedroom. Yana's scalp was
877
00:50:01.639 --> 00:50:04.599
removed from the body. Her skull had been stripped down
878
00:50:04.679 --> 00:50:07.679
to the surface of her bone. Actually, there was no
879
00:50:07.760 --> 00:50:10.679
scalp present, except for like little bits and pieces on
880
00:50:10.719 --> 00:50:14.159
the back of her neck. Portions of the right side
881
00:50:14.199 --> 00:50:16.000
of her face were torn all the way down to
882
00:50:16.039 --> 00:50:21.760
her jawline. How what the fuck was this guy doing?
883
00:50:22.920 --> 00:50:27.239
I don't what was it? Her right ear was missing, okay.
884
00:50:27.239 --> 00:50:30.000
There were a chit ton of bruises and cuts on
885
00:50:30.000 --> 00:50:32.559
her face, primarily on the left side of her face.
886
00:50:33.079 --> 00:50:35.159
She had a human bitemark on the left side of
887
00:50:35.159 --> 00:50:37.800
her face. She had lived for at least eight hours
888
00:50:37.800 --> 00:50:41.800
approximately after receiving the scalp injury and the bruise on
889
00:50:41.880 --> 00:50:45.320
her collarbone, which is awful because that means she was
890
00:50:45.360 --> 00:50:53.599
alive during scalpitch. This poor Yana, she just poor thing.
891
00:50:54.119 --> 00:50:56.639
And you know what's sad, It's like Yana's mother, Olga,
892
00:50:57.000 --> 00:50:59.880
she was there at the court listening to all this,
893
00:51:00.159 --> 00:51:03.360
like I could not imagine listening about your child being
894
00:51:03.840 --> 00:51:10.480
brutally I say, with Blake, it's just kind of like
895
00:51:10.760 --> 00:51:14.800
some people just deserve to go, like off with his head.
896
00:51:15.480 --> 00:51:19.840
That's one of these moments. Remember his book just saying
897
00:51:20.400 --> 00:51:22.280
just saying he might have used it as a blueprint.
898
00:51:22.440 --> 00:51:25.239
So when the trial first gets going, the prosecution starts
899
00:51:25.280 --> 00:51:29.079
with Oldha's testimony. She spoke, she didn't speak English, so
900
00:51:29.119 --> 00:51:32.320
she had several court appointed interpreters for the trial, which
901
00:51:32.320 --> 00:51:35.480
made it a little bit challenging. But the prosecution showed
902
00:51:35.480 --> 00:51:38.039
a lot of photos from the crime scene just describing
903
00:51:38.039 --> 00:51:40.480
how Blake probably used the knife and the rains are
904
00:51:40.480 --> 00:51:42.960
found in the bedroom, in the bathroom scalper, and they
905
00:51:43.000 --> 00:51:46.840
also just went into really graphic details about what he
906
00:51:46.880 --> 00:51:49.960
did to her. And the prosecution also had access to
907
00:51:50.360 --> 00:51:54.039
newer technology that was able to show like a three
908
00:51:54.159 --> 00:51:56.360
D model of the crime scene that allowed them to
909
00:51:56.400 --> 00:51:58.880
turn on and off the light that showed the blue star.
910
00:51:59.119 --> 00:52:01.840
So the jury uly got to see exactly what the
911
00:52:01.840 --> 00:52:04.039
police saw at the crime scene when they were there,
912
00:52:04.599 --> 00:52:09.000
which is fascinating. Prosecutors also provided text messages showing that
913
00:52:09.039 --> 00:52:13.239
Blake had ordered food from Postmates on several occasions during
914
00:52:13.280 --> 00:52:18.199
the time when Yana was most likely dying. He's geting Postmates.
915
00:52:19.480 --> 00:52:23.719
Oh good, right, he's still hungry. Oh good. He like
916
00:52:23.840 --> 00:52:27.199
left specific instructions to the Postmates person like do not
917
00:52:27.320 --> 00:52:30.079
knock on door, just leave it outside. When he ordered
918
00:52:30.079 --> 00:52:32.880
the food, he was using Yana's phone. Maybe he wanted
919
00:52:32.880 --> 00:52:35.440
to make it look like she was still alive ordering Postmates,
920
00:52:36.000 --> 00:52:40.239
you know. So then the prosecutors they also brought up
921
00:52:40.280 --> 00:52:45.119
Blake's graphic novel Remember Syndrome, and remember remember it had
922
00:52:45.519 --> 00:52:48.239
those guys hanging by their feet and the woman lying
923
00:52:48.280 --> 00:52:51.679
in the bloody bed. The prosecution felt that like the
924
00:52:51.719 --> 00:52:55.280
book pretty much was a blueprint that Blake might have
925
00:52:55.400 --> 00:52:59.519
followed for murdering Yana. When Blake was questioned as to
926
00:52:59.559 --> 00:53:03.880
why those graphic scenes were in his book, did he
927
00:53:03.920 --> 00:53:06.079
get the ideas from the book, He pretty much told
928
00:53:06.119 --> 00:53:07.440
them that he had done a lot of research on
929
00:53:07.480 --> 00:53:11.800
serial killers and that's when inspired his book. Not what
930
00:53:11.880 --> 00:53:14.599
he did to Yana. That was his defense. So the
931
00:53:14.679 --> 00:53:19.920
trial ended up lasting only a week. I think I
932
00:53:20.000 --> 00:53:24.079
like it. So the trial only lasted a week one week.
933
00:53:24.159 --> 00:53:26.639
It was an easy trial, it seems like. In June
934
00:53:26.639 --> 00:53:30.599
of twenty eighteen, after a ninety minute deliberation, the Journey,
935
00:53:30.920 --> 00:53:33.639
thirty eight year olds Blake was convicted of first degree
936
00:53:33.719 --> 00:53:39.760
murder and supplemental charges of torture in Mayhem on his fiancee, Yana.
937
00:53:40.400 --> 00:53:44.320
Oh yeah, as he deserves. He was sentenced to life
938
00:53:44.320 --> 00:53:46.800
in prison with no chance of parole, and he is
939
00:53:46.840 --> 00:53:51.000
still serving his sentence at California Correctional Institution. He should
940
00:53:51.000 --> 00:53:56.519
have got the death penalty, Let's be honest. Sorry Cody.
941
00:53:56.559 --> 00:53:58.960
He was the only family member to show support for Blake,
942
00:53:59.039 --> 00:54:01.199
but he refused to make any comments to the press.
943
00:54:01.639 --> 00:54:04.800
Come out, say anything. He was like, nope, not touching that.
944
00:54:05.159 --> 00:54:10.280
Remember Amanda Blake's ex wife, She only showed up after
945
00:54:10.320 --> 00:54:14.039
the verdict had been read, and despite her initial hatred
946
00:54:14.119 --> 00:54:20.079
towards Yana because Yana's still her husband, Amanda was shocked
947
00:54:20.119 --> 00:54:24.320
when she learned about Yana's death, and she also cut
948
00:54:24.360 --> 00:54:26.800
ties with Constants, thinking she was a threat to her
949
00:54:26.800 --> 00:54:29.440
and her kids, and she eventually even got a restraining
950
00:54:29.559 --> 00:54:33.320
order against Constance. At no point during the trial or
951
00:54:33.360 --> 00:54:37.199
after the verdict had been read, did Blake or anyone
952
00:54:37.239 --> 00:54:40.199
from his family reach out to Olga to offer child
953
00:54:40.280 --> 00:54:44.199
support for the baby. Remember, there's a baby. There's a baby.
954
00:54:45.039 --> 00:54:47.079
No one reached out to help. They didn't even ask
955
00:54:47.119 --> 00:54:49.000
for for custody. Not that they should have, but it
956
00:54:49.079 --> 00:54:52.199
was like, do they not care? So Olga she would
957
00:54:52.239 --> 00:54:55.400
have ahead and filed a sixty five million dollar lawsuit,
958
00:54:55.440 --> 00:54:59.280
a civil lawsuit, and a Los Angeles judge ordered Blake
959
00:54:59.320 --> 00:55:03.320
to pay her forty one point six million dollars to
960
00:55:03.440 --> 00:55:05.719
Yanna's family. Will they pay it? I don't know how
961
00:55:05.760 --> 00:55:07.800
that stuff works because it seems like they never pay it, right.
962
00:55:07.840 --> 00:55:09.719
I don't know. I should look into that. So that,
963
00:55:09.760 --> 00:55:11.800
my friends, is the awful story about Blake Lapelle and
964
00:55:11.840 --> 00:55:15.119
how he's completely What would you call this guy? I
965
00:55:15.119 --> 00:55:16.639
want to call him a psycho, but I feel like
966
00:55:16.960 --> 00:55:19.280
that we'd just doesn't do it justice and more because
967
00:55:19.280 --> 00:55:21.639
it's so overused. It's overused for everything, like, oh my god,
968
00:55:21.639 --> 00:55:24.280
that's psycho It's like, so, what do you call this guy?
969
00:55:25.280 --> 00:55:30.320
Like Satan? He's fucking Satan. Okay, he is a clown,
970
00:55:30.960 --> 00:55:34.000
not even a clown. He's worse than a clown. He's
971
00:55:34.360 --> 00:55:43.280
ugh he ugh a spoiled little brat who wanted money,
972
00:55:43.480 --> 00:55:47.079
didn't get his way, and then just got really angry
973
00:55:47.440 --> 00:55:50.360
and then did some sick shit. That's who he is,
974
00:55:50.440 --> 00:55:53.440
just a little brat. This one. Actually, a lot of
975
00:55:53.480 --> 00:55:55.679
you guys ask me what stories give me nightmares and stuff.
976
00:55:55.679 --> 00:55:57.599
This story actually gave me a nightmare. I did have
977
00:55:57.639 --> 00:56:00.280
a nightmare. I did. I thought about the eye out
978
00:56:00.280 --> 00:56:03.079
on the floor, and I was like, holy shit, what
979
00:56:03.119 --> 00:56:05.880
would possess him to do that? Just an eyebrow on
980
00:56:05.920 --> 00:56:07.800
the floor, I mean the whole scalp. Yeah, with the
981
00:56:08.840 --> 00:56:12.159
what was up was he doing? Why was he skinning her? Like?
982
00:56:12.239 --> 00:56:14.320
