Welcome to Nisreen’s Art World! I'm Nisreen — a dancer and a visual artist, with a background in graphic art and psychology, currently based in the U.S. This podcast is your gateway to a creative fusion of ideas, where I explore everything from book reviews to dance analysis, all through an artistic lens — in both English and Japanese. Whether you're here for inspiration, insight, or a fresh perspective, I'm glad you're joining me on this journey. New episodes are released on Fridays (though not always regularly!).

Hello, this is Nisreen — welcome to the tenth episode of Season Three of my podcast!
Have you watched the Michael Jackson biopic, Michael, yet? I watched it as soon as it was released, and left the cinema feeling deeply emotional. It took me a while afterwards to gather my thoughts.
In today’s epi…

Today I’d like to introduce you to a musician many people outside Japan have never heard of, even though he quietly shaped generations of listeners: Kōzō Murashita. He was active …

Hello everyone, this is Nisreen — welcome to the eighth episode of season three! It’s so lovely to speak with you again. Today, I’d like to talk about three of my favourite books from my pre-teen or teenage years. They may not be as internationally acclaimed as Harry Potter or The Secret Garden, bu…
Hello, this is Nisreen! Welcome to episode seven of season three. Today I’m talking about the new BBC series Riot Women. It came out last month, and I loved it so much. The story follows a group of women in their forties and fifties who start a punk-rock band to reclaim their voices — classic sharp…
