He was a full scholarship student at Juilliard and was Bass Clarinetist of the NYC Ballet Orchestra for more than three decades. He also performed with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Symphony under Lorin Maazel, Mariss Jansons, Michael Tilson Thomas and John Williams, among others, and was also invited to Marlboro as a performing Artist
