This book will help you make shifts that stick.
If you still find yourself:
Procrastinating on your next move.
Overthinking every decision.
Freezing up before you take action.
Snapping in relationships.
Scrolling to escape.
Or stuck behind some invisible wall you can’t quite figure out.
It’s not your fault.
But it is your default- the autopilot reactions you didn’t choose.
The good news?
You can change the result. This book shows you how.
A Pause Practice is a real-time tool to shift your state, your story, and your next step, before you spiral.
This is not a long morning routine or a “just think positive” trick.
It’s a moment-to-moment tool designed for real life, when the emotion is high and energy is crashing.
Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, ADHD, trauma, burnout, or just everyday chaos… this method helps you reset fast, without needing to “push through” or be perfect.
Inside, you’ll learn how to:
• Interrupt autopilot default reactions before they wreck your day.
• Catch and shift the thoughts that sabotage your momentum.
• Calm your nervous system, without needing hours of meditation.
• Take action, even when your mind says “not now”.
• Build new defaults that actually support your peace, power, and presence.
This book is especially for people who:
Know what to do… but don’t do it.
Are tired of feeling behind, broken, or too much.
Want to stop procrastinating and start showing up.
Crave practical tools that work in the moment, not after it.
Feel deeply, think fast, and care more than they let on.
A Pause Practice is the missing reset button for people with big hearts and busy minds.
No judgement. No shame.
Just one practice. One pause.
One powerful shift at a time.
About the Author
Michael Gebben has spent over 20 years behind the camera and coaching creators, capturing life’s biggest moments and producing videos for top thought leaders like Tony Robbins, Richard Branson, Tim Ferriss, Lewis Howes, Brendon Burchard, and many others.
Along the way, he noticed something most people miss:
Whether someone had achieved massive success or was still chasing it,
one truth kept showing up- everyone gets stuck.
They would know what to do… but still not do it.
It was like an invisible brick wall was holding them back.
They had read the books. Taken the courses. Listened to the podcasts. Attended the seminars…
Yet they were still stuck.
That realization became his obsession:
Why do we freeze, spiral, or shut down, even when we know what would help?
In search of answers, Michael dove deep, studying everything from mindset and behavior change to ADHD, trauma, and nervous system regulation. He even got brain scans to better understand what was happening under the hood, in both himself and those he helps.
He found out he had ADHD and suddenly, his entire life made sense.
The intensity. The drive. The spirals. The stuckness. The bursts of genius followed by burnout.
That diagnosis wasn’t a limitation.
It was liberation.
It gave him language for what he’d always felt, and fuel to help others finally understand themselves, too.
What emerged is A Pause Practice, a simple, real-time in the moment method to shift your state, your story, and your next step.
Today, Michael is known as the Jumpstarter, helping people with big hearts and busy minds break through stuckness and get back into motion.
