Go beyond the concert hall with Behind the Baton, the new podcast from the Amarillo Symphony. Hosted by Music Director George Jackson, this intimate series brings listeners inside the orchestra through candid, one-on-one conversations with its musicians. Inspired by the Symphony’s popular pre-concert talks—where Jackson offers audiences deeper insight into the music—the podcast expands that experience, revealing the stories, personalities, and artistry behind every performance.

Each episode highlights the human side of symphonic music, as players share their journeys, inspirations, and what it means to collaborate at the highest level. Whether you’re a seasoned concertgoer or new to orchestral music, Behind the Baton offers a fresh perspective—connecting you more closely to the musicians and the music they bring to life.
