What happens when someone else’s opinion becomes the measure of your worth?
Rev. Cynthia Alice Anderson explores “Don’t Take Anything Personally,” the second agreement in Don Miguel Ruiz’s The Four Agreements, in this episode of Sunday for the Soul.
Begin with a guided breathing meditation that invites you to release fear and self-judgment and reconnect with the light and love of God. Then join Cynthia Alice for a warm, practical message about recognizing old beliefs, stepping out of the need for approval, and remembering who you are and whose you are.
Through personal stories and everyday examples, she explores how a passing comment or missed greeting can become a painful story—and how honest reflection can help us respond with greater clarity and freedom.
You’ll also hear a simple journaling practice: notice a belief that surfaced during your day, write it down, and ask whether it reflects the truth of your being.
The episode closes with a prayer for wisdom, guidance, grace, and deeper self-love.
