On this episode of We Interrupt This Movie, we’re finally heading into the rain-soaked, neon-lit streets of 2019 Los Angeles to talk Ridley Scott’s science-fiction masterpiece, Blade Runner. Steve’s brother James joins us as we dig into Harrison Ford’s Deckard, Rutger Hauer’s unforgettable Roy Batty, Vangelis’ incredible score, the film’s astonishing production design and atmosphere, its complicated history of different cuts, and the questions about memory, identity, empathy, and humanity that have kept audiences debating the film for more than four decades. Join us as we ask the question at the heart of Blade Runner: what does it really mean to be human?
Hosted by Tage Sickler, Derek Wehrman and Steve Teasdale
