Speaker 1: Hour three of Clan Buck kicks off.
00:00:02
Speaker 2: Now the biggest story today by far the would be assassin, the attempted assassin President Trump at the White House correspondence dinner. Our man play was there, he heard gunfire, and he gave us in the first hour, really a moment by moment revisiting of what must have been a very stressful, very stressful few minutes. Whenever we're figuring out what was going on, Clay, I want to get to our callers and all this. I would just say, you know, you handled it in a very calm and calculated fashion. A lot of people there did, to their credit. And there was even a guy who just kind of kept nonchalantly eating whatever was on his plate. They caught him on I don't know who that guy was, but he's become kind of a famous internet meme now. But in those moments when you're hearing the pop pop pop, I don't know if your mind went there. You don't know if it's one guy the Secret Service is taken out. It could have been a team of a dozen guys who actually have training, know what they're doing, and have AK forty sevens trying to get into the room. You know, I mean that's I think people forget that that we've had so many clownish, imbecile would be assassins. The guy who wanted to harm Justice Kavanaugh, for example, is clearly deranged and walk up to cops and was like, I have a knife and a gun. I'm here to kill the Supreme Court justice. There are people who actually know what they're doing, though, who will go to extreme lengths to engage in political assassination.
00:01:29
Speaker 1: Yeah, we're very.
00:01:29
Speaker 3: Lucky that the people who have done Butler, Pennsylvania, West Palm Beach, Florida, and now Washington, d C. As a group are relatively unsophisticated in their ability to do great damage to either the president or others. And again, the sad thing is it's imminently predictable. Let me tell you two fun things since before we take calls, because there are some positives. First of all, that you mentioned the the funny meme of the guy kind of taking another bite of his food. They also got video of some journalists taking bottles of wine. I thought about taking a bottle of champagne back to back to our hotel room and my wife Laura and I were obviously there and I didn't do it, but I think if you guys had seen me walking somebody would have taken a picture.
00:02:26
Speaker 1: If you guys didn't seen.
00:02:27
Speaker 3: Me walking out with a bottle of champagne that was otherwise going to go to waste, I think you guys would have been like, yeah, I kind of see Clay doing that. I'm surprised it's not a whispering angel. Secondly, I want to give credit to my wife here. Not only did she look beautiful, but Buck. I don't know if Carrie has, if you guys have had issues with this, the amount of events we go to that it's almost impossible to get a car after and we end up walking long distances. And for you and me and most men out there, I think our shoes aren't that uncomfortable.
00:02:57
Speaker 1: Right, I mean it's very very I can't even.
00:02:59
Speaker 3: Think of the times when I've been in a pair of shoes and been like, uh, I hate these ninety percent of women's shoes that they wear to fashion events or places where they get dressed up or awful. If my wife were here right now, she would probably say this is a tip that she would like to share with all the women out there. She has I'm not kidding about this. She totally prepared that it was going to be chaotic. Didn't think there was going to be an assassination attempt, but that given the fact that the president was going to be there, it was going to be difficult to get any kind of transportation to get back there. Buck she brought slippers in her purse so that she could put them on and walk home, so she didn't have to be barefoot. That's a pro move.
00:03:41
Speaker 2: Like if you saw that, if this was a first date, if we went back twenty years or whatever, when you first met Laura and you told me, like, fuck, we were on a date and she brought slippers so we could walk out, I'd be like marrier man. She under stands comfortable. It was a good decision, but she is such a prepper. She had and I'm not talking about like super fancy slippers. I'm just talking about the kind that you would get in a hotel.
00:04:01
Speaker 3: You know that they might give away, but it's better than trying to walk barefoot or get carried or whatever. Here's the other thing, and I saw this mention. They have a coat check. Coat checks are awful. Everywhere, the lines are awful. You find they can't find your jacket everything else. Laura kept her jacket. It wasn't super cold, but she kept it. Everyone who coach checked Buck because it's a crime scene doesn't get their coats back yet, So there are a ton of there's probably a five hundred and eight hundred people who checked fancy coats there. It's impossible to get your coat at the end of an evening. Just keep your coat. So anyway, two good tips for the ladies out there that I was impressed by my wife when we had you know, nobody was expecting an assassination attempt, but when everybody just had to leave and kind of walk home basically on their own, she was prepared.
00:04:53
Speaker 4: All right.
00:04:53
Speaker 2: We said, with Rack and Stack calls, we're gonna keep that promise. Lisa in California, what's going on.
00:04:58
Speaker 1: Lisa hi clan Buck.
00:05:03
Speaker 4: Actually I'm from Torrance, California, I believe it or not. And it kind of shakes you up a little bit when you hear your little town mentioned to this degree and for this reason, especially when you are a you know, a Maha mom, a Trump supporter. But I'm a mom to a young boy, I'm a daughter of a criminal trial lawyer who has witnessed a lot of crazy trials, and I've personally been to Trump rallies. I was at Charlie Kirk's memorial. I was just recently at the White House Easter egg roll by Trump's personal invite to my son. And as a mom, I can't help but everything of you know, all possible dangers in order to protect my son. So by habit, I do the same thing when I'm at these events where Trump is going to be. And you know, I was just standing right outside the Oval Office and I was standing there next to the security waiting to go sit down for the book read by Tolphie Ghabbard, And I'm like, hey, you guys sure you got this? They didn't check our ID when we go in. You know, I just have my little print out and you just let us in right here on the south lawn of the White House. So I guess do we need to have a mom likes me to help with security because the variable of the rhetoric is not going to change. We know that with Internet was screaming we need to we know this is going to happen. Why can't we just take the steps in advance? Those tickets you guys went in which Clay, I saw you out there with your wife. I was watching the dinner live and you know, why do you guys just have a ticket? Why are they not double? There should be layers in my point, and we already know this in advance. We know this from all the past events, So why can't we just do this in advance.
00:06:51
Speaker 3: It's a great question, I think again, Buck, we talked about this in the first hour, and thank you for the call, Lisa, Torrance, California, where this suspect is from. They're going to have a fourth and a fifth attempt on Trump's life. Unfortunately, I don't doubt it. I don't think you doubt it. I don't think anybody out there doubts it. And let me hit you with some news. The White House Correspondent Association, a dinner shooter has been charged. This kind of goes in with some of our conversations, Buck, with attempting to assassinate the President of the United States discharging a firearm during a crime of violence, so he at least fired. To your point, Buck, he may or may not have hit the Secret Service agent. We still have have been told directly for sure, but also transporting a firearm and AMMO in interstate commerce. But the one that is at least somewhat newsworthy is discharging a firearm during a crime of violence.
00:07:46
Speaker 2: He didn't got to shot fire his weapon, so maybe he was the one that hit that Secret Service officer. We'll get more details on that. Brian in New York wants to talk. What's up?
00:07:55
Speaker 1: Brian?
00:07:59
Speaker 5: Hey, Oh, you know list of different things that these people have said that Caroline Levitt went through. I had heard a compilation that someone put together, but this is my first time seeing it over the weekend, and they really a gregious one is Hakeen Jefferies the maximum warfare everywhere all the time that that wasn't an off the cuff thing. He had a He spent our money to have a poster.
00:08:23
Speaker 6: Board printed up with that on it. Yeah, me easel next to him. Depending on how the midterms go, this guy this time next year might be number three in line to be president.
00:08:32
Speaker 5: Of the United States and this is what he's.
00:08:35
Speaker 6: Doing Like this, I don't know how to address it, but this is like, it's really unsettling that we have someone at that level of our politics and again using our money to print this stuff up. But these aren't off the cuff things. This is a planned, choreographed thing that they're doing.
00:08:53
Speaker 2: I think it's all. I think it's very important what he's saying there. By the way, this is from the very top of the Democrat Party. This is not some fringe element that uses the rhetoric that's a problem here, Clay.
00:09:04
Speaker 3: Let me also hit you with something else. If a Keem Jefferies is the Speaker of the House starting in twenty twenty seven, the incentive to kill Trump and JD Vance goes up even more because if you kill the president and the vice president, then a Democrat is back in office. I think this is a flaw, frankly in our line of succession that you can have a situation where the third in position is someone who is of the opposing political party, because it actually incentivizedes a crazy person, much like the Kavanaugh assassin was incentivized because until the opinion is public, then it doesn't become law. If you killed Trump and jd Vance, a Democrat would be in office potentially beginning in January.
00:09:55
Speaker 2: I think I'm just stating what whatever one knows. But beyond the horror of our friend Charlie Kirk being assassinated on that human level of he's he's a you know, a son, a husband, a father, he's just trying to.
00:10:11
Speaker 1: Speak on campus.
00:10:12
Speaker 2: We've talked about all that, and it's it's very upsetting just thinking about it. But Clay, unfortunately, the left got what they wanted at some level out of that.
00:10:21
Speaker 3: No.
00:10:21
Speaker 2: I don't just mean, of course, the horrific murder of Charlie Kirk, but Turning Point's never going to be the same. Charlie was a unique individual who built that entity which was mobilizing young people on the right. They the the the forces of darkness were able to get something out of this. I don't know what else to say. It's it's very apparent Turning Point will never be what it was before Charlie was assassinated. It's just I don't see how that could happen to Charlie was Turning Point, and that was powerful among young people in this country, uh, bringing them not just to the right and to conservatism, but to family values and God and decency. And the forces of darkness got to win out of this, and that is a very tough So I just you know, keep in mind that there are lessons that are taken out of these things that the saying the decent and the moral don't necessarily think of. But for those who are demonic in their approach to politics and have become so deranged and so delusional, they see this and they it's like what I said, even about the White House Correspondence dinner, Clay, it got shut down and Trump had to be, you know, scurried off the stage with a bunch of Secret Service agents among others too. It gives the impression of an administration under siege, and the left likes that. A lot of Democrats like that.
00:11:48
Speaker 3: The banner that the caller was referencing was from Wednesday, Hakeem Jefferies had a press conference and they made a big poster board with President Trump's picture and it says maximum more fare everywhere all the time. This is intentional. Right, three days later, somebody, what does he do? He executes in his mind, maximam more fair all the time, tries to kill the president.
00:12:11
Speaker 1: Let's do Christa and Saint Augustine Florida, what's up, Christa?
00:12:16
Speaker 7: So this isn't going to stop. They're regrouping and they're going to try again. We brought in the National Guards thanks to Linda and Arizona. So why aren't the military elite forces surrounding the president and everywhere he's at at all times? Those secret Service agents they look like school resource officers at a bake sale. They were so slow that guys should have been shot even before he hit the barricade.
00:12:43
Speaker 1: Yep.
00:12:43
Speaker 7: And they're just they're these these crazies, they're watching the failures. They're regrouping, and yes, number four, number five is coming. Why aren't the military elite forces, our seals, our Delta Force, our green berets surrounding him and every entrance to every building that.
00:13:02
Speaker 2: He is Well, I would say, I would say this, christ I asked the same question, And first of all, I think it's an excellent question, And thank you for the call, and thank you for your patience.
00:13:10
Speaker 1: Clay.
00:13:11
Speaker 2: If I were Trump, I mean I would I'd say, you know, I'd call. I'd say, hey, DJ Shipley, GBRS Group, bring me a bunch of tier one guys that are just the top of the food chain, meat eaters and understand the thread environment we're in and are going to.
00:13:27
Speaker 1: Keep me and my people safe.
00:13:28
Speaker 3: Well, let me ask you this buck as we go to break How many Secret Service agents do you think would be top of the line private security for Elon Musk, CEOs, the guys and gals out there, Taylor Swift, whoever you want to put in. Would any of them be the guys that are end up in charge of Elite?
00:13:51
Speaker 2: They wouldn't for people who have essentially endless budgets for this kind of stuff, which a lot of celebrities do and a lot of CEOs do. I think that most of the Secret Service probably wouldn't even be in contention. When I say most, I would I couldn't give you a real number, but I think it would be a small percentage, you know, maybe twenty percent, thirty percent. Who really would be somebody that you would pay one thousand dollars a day too, which is what some of these guys get, by the way, fifteen hundred dollars a day. I mean, depends on the situation of the event. But yeah, I think we've got a problem here. You got twenty plus years of DEI hiring. They haven't purged the Secret Service of all these individuals who were brought in because we needed to have a secret service that reflected you know, the full range of human condition, including disability and who knows.
00:14:41
Speaker 3: I mean, I'm gonna probably take some shots here for this opinion, but I'll just say it. First of all, costs should be no obstacle with what the federal government spins. We should have the baddest ass dudes protecting the president. Let me say it again, dudes, I don't think there should be any women that are in charge of trying to protect a six foot four president of the United States, whether it was a male or female. By the way, the baddest ass warriors on the planet are all men. Like we should have a absolute Securetorian guard of badass dudes that are not going to allow anybody to get near the president.
00:15:19
Speaker 1: Is that a controversial? Are women offended by that?
00:15:22
Speaker 7: Like?
00:15:22
Speaker 1: Dudes should be.
00:15:23
Speaker 2: The ones protecting the president. I'm gonna take this opportunity to talk about Fast Growing Trees. There's a lot of new plants in our home. 00:16:39
Speaker 1: In a world of crazy, Clay and Buck have your back.
00:16:43
Speaker 3: Welcome back in Clay Travis Buck Sexton show, Larry and Anchorage, Alaska. Buck, I'm gonna let you respond to him, he says, he doesn't want to criticize the Secret Service.
00:16:53
Speaker 8: Fire Away, Larry, guys want to let you know that I bought both.
00:16:58
Speaker 9: Your books, thank you, But what I wanted to say regarding the multiple shots fired and nobody getting hit. I understand all the criticisms of Secret Service, and I don't necessarily disagree with them, but the truth is, handguns, even in the hands of well trained Secret Service or whatever law enforcement, are just not as accurate as long guns. And those guys that were guarding the President and First Lady at the front table, if that guy would have gotten into the ballroom, one shot guarantee virtually from one of those fully outfitted guys with it.
00:17:36
Speaker 3: Okay, I'm gonna let thank you for the call, Larry. We're coming up on break, but I want to put a pin in this.
00:17:40
Speaker 1: Buck.
00:17:41
Speaker 3: You are the gunfire and gun training expert by far of the show. I want when we come back, you to tell us what should happen in the scenario based on the video we saw from your perspective.
00:17:55
Speaker 2: If you're using a lot of data on your cell phone. You want to plan with unlimited high speed data, pure talk has one for just thirty four ninety nine a month. That's all the unlimited high speed data you need, along with unlimited calls and texts. Pure Talk services on the same towers and network as one of those better known companies out there. You get the best five G nationwide service there is, but at a fraction of the price. There's no contract to sign, no cancelation fees to endure. How can Puretalk offer this kind of price. They don't have retail locations or expensive sponsorship deals. You get the benefit of those savings as the customer. Switch to pure Talk today will take you less than half an hour, maybe even about fifteen minutes to complete that process. Talk to their one hundred percent US based customer service team to get started. Dial pound two fifty say the keywords Clay and Buck to claim unlimited high speed data for just thirty four to ninety nine. Again, dial pound two five zero say Clay and Buck to switch to pure Talk America's wireless company.
00:18:56
Speaker 1: Welcome back in Buck.
00:18:57
Speaker 3: As we went to break, I said that I was going to tease you up because you are the marksman expert legitimately a marksman expert of the program, but also a marksman expert for much of the audience here so from and we don't know, to be fair, we're still waiting on more details. What we have been reacting to is what the caller was reacting to the video that came out. It appears that they draw their guns, and I'm presuming there.
00:19:23
Speaker 1: Were some shots fired.
00:19:24
Speaker 3: We haven't been officially told that we know based on charges that the would be assassin evidently did fire his weapon because he's been charged with discharging his firearm. Okay, what should happen if you have good security in that situation?
00:19:39
Speaker 1: Buck?
00:19:39
Speaker 3: First of all, you shouldn't let the guy just run by you. Okay, like that should be a situation where you see him coming. But if you've got a running target and the guy is armed and he is within For most of these guys, I would guess twenty or thirty yards, he wasn't hit, assuming there were gun shots fired. Maybe there weren't, but if they're were he was not hit by any of those. That doesn't seem ideal to me. What should happen in that scenario. So we also had a caller a moment ago. He said, look, it's hard to fire a handgun accurately. Long guns are much more accurate. Well, it all depends on.
00:20:20
Speaker 2: What you're trying to do at the time, right, I mean, yes, long guns are going to be more accurate as a tool than pistols, but you're generally going to be able to get especially in a close or confined situation. You might able to get to a pistol more easily. But here's the way that they train on this clay. When they're training just basic self defense. They call it the three three three rule. Any of you who have done a concealed carry class, you know exactly what I'm talking about. They teach you this rule. But it's important to keep in mind three yards, three shots, three seconds. A vast majority, according to FBI data, a vast majority of gunfights occur within three yards, or basically within ten feet three seconds, three shots.
00:21:06
Speaker 1: So it's up close, it's fast, it's over now.
00:21:12
Speaker 2: In the case of the Secret Service officers, by the way, you also see this a lot of police interactions with somebody that result in gunfire. Usually the person gets up you know, the let's say the perpetrator kind of gets up close. The most important part in a self defense situation is actually the draw, not the marksmanship, because getting to your pistol and clearing it quickly. And I was just going through this with a fantastic I mean a real expert. I'm an enthusiastic amateur, a real expert was training me also, along with friends like Carol mark Witz, Clay and Josh Hammer and others were down here with me at the range and we were going through this very thing, which is clearing that weapon out of the holster and getting it up so that you actually were able to fire on target and learning to actually fire before you and come together with your hands and aim right. You're essentially firing from the hip. We're close to the hip. And that is for tactical and for self defense training, absolutely essential. So those are just some interesting Those of you in law enforcement and military, you all know this stuff backers and for it.
00:22:15
Speaker 1: It's like I just told you two plus two equals four.
00:22:17
Speaker 2: But a lot of people, I think clay, because their experience of shooting is what they see in the movies where I mean, I love lethal weapon, but like one handed Bretta nine millimeter rolling on the ground, firing as fast as you can, you're only gonna hit innocent bystanders a block away, Like you're not hitting you know you've seen that right leath.
00:22:34
Speaker 1: The weapon role. Yes, he does the role. It's the most absurd. I mean, I love it because it's so observed. It's the most absurd that you've ever seen.
00:22:40
Speaker 2: You're not gonna hit anything, or even Danny Glover like shooting the U the South African guy and leath the weapon two with a snub nosed revolver at you know what it's like one hundred feet, or.
00:22:51
Speaker 1: A guy who tries to claim diplomatic community.
00:22:53
Speaker 2: Dipleomatic immunity that he's like, it's just been revoked. Yeah, no chance he's making that shot with that revolt. I'm sorry, snub knows no chance. Okay, under pressure zero Anyway, So people see this in the movies and they think, oh, it's so easy, it's so easy to shoot somebody at distance. And no, when your heart you're gonna have an adrenaline dump, no matter unless honestly I think everybody would, even even elite warriors are gonna have some degree of adrenaline dump when they come under fire. But you have that adrenaline dump in your heart, your your fine motor skills become gross motor skills. It becomes way harder to to you know, move like your fingers. That's why they train the way they do with trying to get you to use gross motor skills more than fine motor skills. And it's very easy to judge people when they're in this situation and say, you know, you should have been able to hit like a little bullseye. Now that all said, you got a guy who's running by you in a confined space. I don't know how many shots were fired. It is staggering to me that this guy was not hit. I'll just tell you that taking all that into account, even that it's high stress, underpressure and everything, and then this brings us to I don't know that the Secret Service.
00:24:11
Speaker 1: Look the Secret Service. I know this from the.
00:24:14
Speaker 2: Personal security side of it, where people are hiring individuals to you know, do their do their You get a lot of guys who are former Special Forces, You get guys who are ex Delta ex seals. You know, there's there are certain people that tend to get that kind of work, especially at a high level for high threat situations. You don't get a lot of former I don't I don't come across a lot of former Secret Service in that role. Secret Services largely a crowd control and transportation service for the protectees. They're not engaged in even really like the law enforcement activities of wrestling.
00:24:51
Speaker 1: Bad guys to the ground, having to deal with that.
00:24:53
Speaker 2: You know, they're really just supposed to be so it's it's a tough thing for them because they're supposed to be able to interac act with people and be pretty normal and not you know this like menacing. You know, we don't want them carrying headsman's acts around and there's some kind of like a mask on.
00:25:08
Speaker 8: Right.
00:25:08
Speaker 2: They're supposed to be able to fit in with events and be there with the President, but we also want them to when necessary, to be able to be very lethal. I don't know if it's a training thing, but between Butler and then West Palm Beach and now this, it just feels like the Secret Services not up to the task.
00:25:27
Speaker 1: It's just not fired. We know for sure.
00:25:30
Speaker 3: In West Palm Beach, lots of shots and didn't hit the guy. In fact, he got in his car and drove away. The would be assassin there and they caught him somewhere on a floor to highway. I can't imagine. Maybe they didn't fire a single shot. But if you watch the video that we saw, the guys are drawing their guns. Unless if this guy fired his weapon, as we are told that he.
00:25:56
Speaker 1: Did, why in the world is he not dead?
00:26:00
Speaker 3: I mean that honestly, Like if you told me a guy's gonna run through security shoot someone, and he's not gonna be dead or at least shot up. My question is what happened? Now, maybe somebody made the greatest flying tackle of all time. I would like to see the video, and but even that is risky. If there's gunshots going off, you might get hit. As you talked about Buck being the guy who's trying to make the tackle, you end up getting hit by an errant shot. We still have not gotten the details on how many shots were fired all of those things. But to me, this is a bit ominous that we could be in a position where, but for the incompetence of the would be assassin's President Trump would already be dead multiple if you.
00:26:54
Speaker 2: Were somebody who with real tactical skill and you see and you have and you wish the president harm and you see what's gone on here. I felt this way ever since. Butler, it's it's actually encouraging the bad guys the way, a lot of them because we're so incompetent in protecting him.
00:27:13
Speaker 1: Yes, where we.
00:27:14
Speaker 2: Have been reliant on the blunders of would be assassins to keep President Trump alone.
00:27:22
Speaker 3: And frankly, Buck, we may have benefited from this for a long time where people just thought the Secret Service was so competent that they didn't even try them.
00:27:32
Speaker 2: I've always thought that that was a huge benefit that they had, was that people thought, oh the Secret Service man, they got those they got those sunglasses on and the suits. You know, they're like agent Smith from the Matrix, like they're everywhere. They know what they're doing. I think that mythology has unfortunately been shattered, and look, this is I get it. And it's unfair because there are a lot of Secret Service agents who I'm sure put in put their heart and soul into it. They would take a bullet for the president, which is not a small thing to do. For any other person. But I think there are people who are who are patriots and who's serving the Secret Service with all they've got. But the organization has certainly taken dam I mean, didn't they fire They had to fire the head of it after Butler, right, or I forget exactly stepped down, fired whatever, But there was There's no question that there have been failures. I mean, that's the biggest failure that you can have, is what happened in Butler. It wasn't just the president got shot and we just got lucky he didn't get killed. It was that the president got shot from the best possible sniper position, the most obvious one, imaginable by some like twenty year old weirdo who. And I know there's a lot of people questions, an investigation and everything that still has to go on there, but that's that's the best we can do in terms of protecting our president. If I were President Trump, would I feel safe after all of this? No, By the way, I don't think President Trump feels safe. I just think he's completing the mission no matter what. I think that's what his mindset is now that he's just built different, as he says, and He's just gonna finish this thing, and he's not gonna let fear out his mission.
00:29:01
Speaker 3: I think President Trump personally likes a lot of his Secret Service agents and so he doesn't want to criticize them. But the way I would put it is, I asked that question of you if you were Elon Musk, or you were Taylor Swift, or you were somebody who's famous, a celebrity and has substantial resources and employees personal security, I don't think they're hiring Secret Service agents. And if we are spending as we are, what is our federal budget now, seven trillion dollars, shouldn't we be in a situation where we have the baddest ass protectors out there now.
00:29:39
Speaker 1: To be fair, some of these guys may not.
00:29:41
Speaker 3: Want the gigbuck because a lot of it is just standing around, and it might be for your average special Forces guys that they want to be more physically active in terms of actually engaging in.
00:29:56
Speaker 1: Training. And much of this is very boring. I'm to be hones with you.
00:30:00
Speaker 3: It's standing around and watching as the President gets on a helicopter or gets on an airplane, you know, on a relatively secure base. But I just keep looking at this and saying, we are so fortunate that a foreign country that has trained assassins. China, I'm sure has a bunch of them. Russia certainly has a bunch of them, Iran certainly has a lot of them. At Cuba probably has them. That we haven't had a situation where they have ten really badass dudes on their side that have seen the security weaknesses we have and just decided that they're going to exploit them, because if they had, they may not get the president. I think they have a good chance of getting to him, but they could kill a lot of people in a devastating nine to eleven like terror attack. That would change everything. Can you imagine if Iran instead of this random teacher from California, if Iran buck had gotten seven or eight of their most death the assassins into that hotel and they had just come down in the middle of the White House correspondent dinner and just started mowing people down.
00:31:10
Speaker 2: So I'm just looking this up to add to our discussion. I went to the Secret Service dot gov website, and in order to pass to become a Secret Service agent, I'm looking at some of the physical requirements, minimum time to achieve one point. So basically to not fail the one point five mile run, how fast do you think you have to run to not fail? Now you can get if you go much quicker, you get more points, and I think that's kind of added into your total.
00:31:37
Speaker 1: But what is the NOE? What is the no fail number? To see? Nineteen minutes and forty one second?
00:31:45
Speaker 3: Nineteen minutes for a mile and a half. Yes, I mean come on, yeah, not good, guys, not good. That's awful. To be honest, that's awful shape. I mean, I'm I get it if you're not a professional protector, right, thing. I think the fattest kid in my high school pet class was doing it faster than nineteen minutes.
00:32:07
Speaker 1: That's what high school.
00:32:08
Speaker 3: That's almost a ten minute mile, yes, for two miles, but they only have to do a mile and a half.
00:32:14
Speaker 1: Yes, that's for people.
00:32:16
Speaker 3: Out there who aren't thinking about it, Like, if you jog, a ten minute mile is an okay pace, right, I mean fifteen minutes you can walk. You can almost pass this thing walking.
00:32:27
Speaker 1: Serious. There are speed.
00:32:30
Speaker 3: Walkers out there listening to us right now. They're like, I can do a mile and a half and under twenty This ridiculous. Again, that's not the baddest ass dude on the planet standard, let's just put it that way.
00:32:44
Speaker 2: I think we just got to put Laura in charge of them for like a few months. You know, she can be in charge of PT. I think a lot of them will tap out. Dude, I've seen Laura's guns.
00:32:53
Speaker 1: They couldn't handle it.
00:32:54
Speaker 3: She's tough. I'll tell you this. If we ordered private security and they sent some chicks to protect our family, Laura Travis is firing them on the spot.
00:33:03
Speaker 1: Like I'm serious.
00:33:06
Speaker 3: If I was going somewhere and they were like, hey, we've got your security, and it's two five foot four chicks in suits, I'm sorry they get.
00:33:13
Speaker 1: I'm like, play with the mail. This is like Clay with the mail. Babysitter Laura would.
00:33:18
Speaker 3: I think Laura would fire him faster than me, Like, I'm six feet tall, I gotta have it.
00:33:22
Speaker 1: You got to be bigger than me if you're going to be protecting me.
00:33:25
Speaker 3: Uh that's and certainly if you're protecting my family, you got to be I'm paying you one thousand dollars an hour. You better be able to whip some ass. I think Laura would fire them on the spot if they sent some chicks. I just I don't even understand nineteen forty This is ridiculous. Uh, here's a question for you. Speaker 8: All right, guys, I'm gonna tell you there's a huge difference between Tier one operators and law enforcement. I've been both. I was a combat controller for a long time. You've never ever take this shot in a crowded room like that, unless the principle is in dire straits.
00:35:33
Speaker 3: So you don't think they fired a single shot at this guy, even though he fired at them.
00:35:38
Speaker 8: He was moving past them. I guarantee you and I've trained on this. Trying to hit a running target is almost impossible unless you are at ninety degrees to it coming right at you or right away from you.
00:35:51
Speaker 1: So, yeah, you don't think they you don't think they fired a shot.
00:35:55
Speaker 8: I guarantee you almost. I could almost guarantee you none of those Secret Service agents took a shot.
00:36:00
Speaker 3: Okay, thank you. We'll find out, Jennifer and North Carolina. Jennifer, what you got?
00:36:05
Speaker 10: Yeah?
00:36:05
Speaker 11: Hey, So, while I might be willing to concede the President's affirmation of the Secret Service and protecting him, my concern is about the advanced Team. I'm not hearing a lot of discussion about that. Why is the security perimeter not sufficient?
00:36:20
Speaker 1: A great question.
00:36:21
Speaker 3: We'll discuss it again tomorrow after more details come out. Chuck and Columbus, you've been waiting a while. You get to finish up the show.
00:36:27
Speaker 9: Hey, I think the.
00:36:28
Speaker 10: Real conversation is that the threat is radically changing. It's changing fast. That the number of unhanged, radicalized liberal Democrats willing to commit violence against our president is at a number never seen before.
00:36:41
Speaker 1: Thank you.
00:36:42
Speaker 3: And that's why I think we need the baddest ass guys on the planet in order to have a protection going on.
00:36:48
Speaker 1: Fuck, we'll dive into all this tomorrow too. Totally agree. Clay was ready for action,
