Caleb Flynn just stood before an Ohio judge to be sentenced for the murder of his wife Ashley, and for the first time in eight months, he opened his mouth. What came out was ten minutes of thank-you’s, tearful tributes to his own family, and sweeping declarations of faith, ending with a flat denial: "I did not kill my wife." Fynn’s statement avoids the brutal facts of the case: two bullets in the back of Ashley's head as she slept, a staged burglary that fooled no one, more than 107,000 texts to his mistress including the words "I need her to die," and a jury that needed just two hours to convict him on all nine counts. If you want to understand how a predator uses faith as camouflage, listen carefully to what Caleb Flynn chose to say when everything was on the line.
