關於這一集
In this episode, Ruth Jackson is joined by Caragh Bridgwood, Co-Founder and CEO of The Zena Launchpad, a Stewardship charity partner and social enterprise that is creating pathways out of extreme poverty for women in Uganda.
Together they explore how Zena grew from a university dissertation project into an organisation that has helped more than 100 women launch businesses, build financial security and create opportunities for their families.
Caragh shares honestly about the realities of fundraising, living between the UK and Uganda, learning to trust God's provision and navigating the tension of stewarding resources across vastly different contexts.
She also discusses the launch of Women Who Give, a new initiative encouraging women to make generosity a meaningful part of their financial lives. Along the way, she reflects on faith, purpose, provision and the transformative power of generosity.
"Whatever we give God access to, I think he breathes supernatural life onto."
This episode explores:
-
why biblical stewardship matters in pursuing social justice
-
how generosity can shape your sense of purpose
-
what it looks like to sustain a social enterprise through opposition and setbacks
-
the role of faith in navigating complexity and uncertainty
Caragh's favourite Bible verses on generosity:
'Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.' 2 Corinthians 9:7 (NIV)
Matthew 6, in particular: 'Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?' Matthew 6: 26 (NIV)

How you can pray:

for strength and health as she navigates life between the UK and Uganda with her family
-
that these projects will empower women out of poverty and create lasting impact
