Radiant Uranium CEO Clive Massey joined Steve Darling from to discuss the company’s uranium exploration portfolio, plans to advance its Cross Lake project and the potential for additional discoveries across its three Saskatchewan projects.
Massey explained that Radiant Uranium was established approximately a year ago in response to rising uranium prices and expectations for increasing electricity demand. The company subsequently acquired three projects it viewed as relatively de-risked: Cross Lake, Gorilla and Key Lake.
Cross Lake is expected to be the company’s primary exploration focus. Massey highlighted historical exploration dating back to the 1970s that outlined approximately 371,000 pounds of uranium at an average grade of 0.38%, according to the interview.
Radiant is currently undertaking consultations as it advances permitting for the project. Once approvals are secured, the company plans a three-phase exploration programme beginning with ground geophysics and short-hole drilling to refine targets ahead of a larger diamond drilling campaign planned for 2027.
Exploration will focus in part on potential extensions of the Narrow Zone, which hosts the historical uranium estimate and remains open in two directions.
The company also plans additional exploration at its Gorilla and Key Lake projects. Massey highlighted Key Lake’s location along the same uranium-bearing trend as the Key Lake, Cigar Lake and McLean Lake mines, with ground geophysical surveys being considered to investigate potential extensions of known mineralization.
Massey said Radiant expects the next three to six months to be active as the company advances permitting, exploration planning and technical work across its portfolio.
