Hey, what's up everybody? Welcome back to the show. My name is Richard Henry, and this is an episode of Richard reacts on the EM network. Talk about different things here, discussing mostly Christian related things or celebrities or an athlete or something like that talking about Christ or the Bible. It has a eschatology spin to it, at least in some part. And really just looking at what the scripture says and how these things relate in our everyday lives. We're going to be looking at a clip from William Wolfe, a conservative podcast, SBC leader, and he was in Jerusalem recently at a conference. He was invited to and he was asked to speak and a number of things erupted online in the Twitter sphere, as it's called. And we're going to be looking at that coming up right now. Take heart with Corey Weng, the world view with Alex Cochman, the magistrate with James Baird and Josh Howard, the based Boomer podcast with Mike D. Virgilio, the millennial medic with Jacob Blass, down to earth theology with that plot. Shadows to substance with George Seor, five new episodes every week. We all the EM network. Show I'm praying. We're getting brown. Oh, we have a lot of the lost it's from. Oh, we have a new young. All right, all right. Well, we're going to just jump right into it. Those who don't know I am in the SBC as well. And I appreciate William. I know William. We're not best friends, but I could call him if I needed to. So this is a friendly response video. But I want to look at this because I know some people have problems with him and I just want to see what he says. And I know he's pretty level headed guy and a lot of that stuff online is sensational and zingy and people don't always like online debate. I like to equate Twitter and much of the Twitter sphere as it's called to contact football contact sports and usually without pads. You're going to get hurt. You're playing rugby. Those types of things for those watching overseas. It's a different domain than the local church. It's a different domain than sitting and talking to a friend over coffee or or Thanksgiving or something like that. A lot of people think everything is a bare minimum. That's one thing to remember that all debate. Everything is just the same plane. It's the same thing. And we all engage the same way, but we don't really do that in real life. Even in real life, even if you're never online. You talk to your children different than you do your wife or your husband, then your congregation, then people at work, then someone on the street street preaching is very different than regular preaching quote unquote. And so there's all these different distinctions and somehow when we get online, we think something else applies. It's very fascinating. So let's look at this here. I'm going to hook up my headphones. Alright, I've got my sweet radio DJ Joe Rogan headphones on. That's the movie down here. We'll just do that that way. Alright, I haven't listened to this. It's been about a week or so. What a lesson a week. And and as has been mentioned here, a lot of what has been driving support for Israel and America has been a theological view that many of my Southern Baptist brothers and sisters share on myself do not share it as strongly as they do or maybe not even at all in the way that they do, but in my work. Dispensationalism, right? He's talking about dispensationalism. He says I love my Southern Baptist brothers who are dispensationalist for the reality. Well, maybe he says that but all that. Yeah, let's keep going. Try no way shape or form to make that a stumbling block between us working together to beat the leftists trying to take over our Christian denomination, which is why coming here was quite a bit of a risk for me. People ask, what do you get for coming here? And I say, I don't know, probably grief. But I love my Southern Baptist brothers and sisters who are dispensational. But the reality is that theology is waning in the United States and in the light of people who want American national sovereignty back, simply saying, because the Bible says so in light of these very difficult and complex conversations isn't going to work. Now don't get me wrong. They believe in a lot of things being settled by because the Bible says so. Uh-huh. And so that's where a lot of the debates. Bible says so, excuse me. That's not or not. The Bible says so that's not he qualifies it. People he qualifies it. Like, please listen to the whole thing. And this is what's so frustrating. And before you comment or you think I'm stupid or this channel stupid or something like, did you actually listen? Did you actually read the comment? Did you actually see the post? Did you watch the video? Uh-so often. I mean, the full answers before he hears the proverb says and and all throughout just the scripture. We see wisdom acts this way and folly acts this way. And as Christians, we ought not to be that way, right? We ought not to be foolish and just answering before we even think before we hear the response. I know when we have, you know, a debate or argument within our family or within children or between husband and wife, sometimes we can just wait to talk and we don't really care what the other person saying. That's foolishness. Right? And repent of that. Right. It's something that maybe you struggle with. I've struggled with it. Um, but it's, it's, it's, it happens online all the time. People say, oh, the Bible says so. And that's what some of the comments. I might get to it. I might not look at comments because I don't have a ton of time today. But let's keep going. Look at this a little more. So, and I respect that there are those who make a lot of things being settled going to work. Now don't give me wrong. You say don't give me wrong because he knows right because he's chronically online in a good way, I suppose he knows how that's going to be perceived. Don't give me wrong. He says. I'm a big believer in a lot of things being settled. I'm a big believer in a lot of things being settled by because the Bible says so. So, so. And I respect that there are those who make that argument. But the reality is that that argument continues to have less purchase. And then also there are many. And this is, you know, I think there are many. Right. So what's he saying? He says that has less cloud less purchase. Right. Less reason. There's a lot of pagans. They don't care. A lot of leftists. They don't care. A lot of Christians. Suppose the Christians don't care. I don't care what the Bible says women say that I don't care. But what the Bible says about submission and headship. I don't care what the Bible says about homosexuality and sexuality in general. I don't care what the Bible says about a little. Right. I'm a gay Christian. I'm a this. I'm a thieving Christian. Right. Nobody says that. Although they should have. They're going to be consistent. But he that's he's not saying it doesn't matter. And he's not saying I shouldn't say the Bible says so. He's saying that argument doesn't work. Right. And then people say, Oh, you're a pragmatist. I saw a few comments a few days ago. And it's like it's not about pragmatism or not. He's just laying out the reality of what it is. The Bible says so. And everyone says yes and amen. Yeah. Sure. Everybody. Right. God is the God of creation. He's not the God of the Jews only as the scripture says. God of the Gentiles. God is he's God whether anyone worships him or not. He's creator. Whether anyone worships him or not. He's redeemer and savior. Whether anyone worships him or not. He's human beings. His creatures made in his image though were fallen and sinful. We would do well to go and do likewise and listen and obey and worship the living true God. But he's no less God. He's no less anything. But the practicality matter is simply what what is it these things don't work right now. But again, it's not about pragmatism. It's just about the reality of the matter. It doesn't mean you don't preach it. It doesn't mean you don't change things. It doesn't mean you don't push etc. But he's the point is William is seeing the boots on the ground and sees what the reality actually is. He's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who the marica first, and this looks like sort of America first, plus Israel first, what are we doing here? Those are the questions that they are asked that is so mild that is so not at all but again, people have problems, maybe everybody's gonna have people are always gonna find problems, right? They're always gonna have some sort of natomiast issue with something Okay, so what is he saying? What is Wolf actually saying? He's saying that people have probably a lot of younger people, Gen Z, probably younger millennials and Gen Z, and maybe even what is it, Gen Alpha now? We're calling it the one after Zoomer Gen Z, although most of them are not really of age to be having too much voting or anything like that. But they still say, why is there an Israeli flag? I mean, there's over 200 countries. Why not in a Zimbabwe flag or a Chinese flag or, I don't know, Angola or Chile or Argentina or South Africa or Russia or United Kingdom or Canada or Mexico, like why is it? I mean, really, you have to ask yourself, and a lot of it is driven because of dispensationalism, coupled with Zionism, et cetera. And it's like, listen, if you want to support another nation, fine, you can support another nation, I suppose. But you shouldn't support them at the detriment of your own nation. You certainly shouldn't be giving tax dollars while your nation is crumbling. I mean, our nation is not in ruin like other nations, sure. There's still a lot of worst places in the world. But it's bad. I mean, you look at any inner city, and yet they have money for beta centers and flock cameras and all these other things. Why? How does that work? Oh, we just passed $40 trillion in our national deficit. Some, you know, what, two through months ago. But we still can send money, not just to Israel, but countless other countries, countless other countries. Weapons, all of me, you know, we sail those famous pictures with the Middle East, you know, the Afghanistan, with we're all a few years ago, with Biden. And they're using US Army military guns and transport tanks, helicopters, and you're like, did what? Like, it's just, it's so backward. And all William Wolf is saying is, listen, people are confused. People don't like this. They don't understand it's odd to say, right? At best, it's odd. He's being generous. It's more than odd in my, I would say, but, you know, he's in a mildly hostile crowd. So the Bible, biblical history and prophecy actually says something quite different than disbizards say. Example, Israel and Judah prophesy of prophecy were those deported by a Syrian 8th century BC, which modern Jews do not descend. They're restored as believers, not in apostasy. The Promised Land, the heavenly kingdom, which is not of this world, which believers in Christ are heirs of the promise, is not the state of Israel. Okay. Yeah, for white guys, right? His point is that increasing number of us, we absolutely believe the Bible, but we reject the idea that Bible teaches dispensationalism or political loyalty to Israel. If you pay attention, you'll realize that this is his point. He's right. I reject the blind loyalty to Israel precisely because the Bible does not teach such a thing. You must support Israel. The Bible says so. False, the Bible does not say so. Did you just mention Bible teaches yet? So I mean, there's there's and as has been mentioned here, there's so many. Like again, if somebody wants to, my pastor preached on this number months ago, I think it was a use what Romans, I guess 14, 15. Somewhere around there. And it's like, if you want to support Israel, great, but you can't derive and you ought not derive it from the scripture. Now that's what they use, and that's what dispensationalists have been using for a very, very long time. And Christians who, you know, we want to be nice, right? And this is where a lot of Southern Baptist, I'm Southern Baptist. We want to be nice, right? We think the 11th commandment is a real thing. Well, that, well, that won't be nice, right? Which means letting people get away with X, Y, Z, right? You don't address the disorderly child, right? You don't lead your wife. You don't really care what your husband does. You don't really do this. You don't really do that. You don't know how old ladies kind of run the show at the local church. You just kind of let people slide. You just kind of do whatever. You don't only say anything at work. You don't really say, you don't know. Right? Yeah, my, my, my witness, my witness, my witness. Yeah, we need to have a good witness. Sure. Fine. But being nice and being Christ wasn't nice, right? Jesus wasn't nice. He was kind at times, but he was also direct and firm. And he stood on reality, stood on God's law. That's the thing that we miss entirely. And it's just, I don't know. I mean, it's, let's look at a couple of these other comments. Okay, there's four comments right in row. Perfect. So Barton, something or other. So just disregard the parts of the Bible. You don't like God it. You didn't say that. William Wolf is someone you need to quote the Bible, Mark and avoid. Okay. I'm a Christian. A Jew gave me salvation. Jews wrote the New Testament of the Bible. Jew hate gets you nowhere with me. I'm not a Southern Baptist. I'm gonna go back to somebody's. I'm a Southern Baptist. I'm not a Southern Baptist either, but I am a Christian. I am baffled as to who you think you're speaking for. I'm pretty sure you don't speak for most of us. This is really offensive. I think I'll just leave it there. You aren't concerned. I'll agree one more. Aren't concerned. Do you sound like something else? You do not speak for us conservative. I can't believe you're posting this crap on October 7th. Okay. So again, what are they saying? What is he saying? He's not saying you Jews are stupid. You're dumb. You deserve what you got. Did he say anything like that? He says the Bible doesn't support it. Dispensationalism is a thing that people use to support the nation state of Israel. And a lot of people are tired of that, rightly so. And what? Like none of that's Jew hate. Oh, Jew hate. Like it's so exhausting. It's exhausting. I hope you're exhausted. I'm exhausted from it because it's so stupid and why is it only Jew hate? I mean, there's literally billions of people, all different groups, ethnicities that other people hate on or don't hate on and nobody's concerned about them. But it's always anti-Semitism. What about anti, what about Christophobia, right? What about anti-Christian hate? What about Nigeria or Sudan where Christians are routinely murdered usually by Islamists? Nobody cares about that? Nobody cares about the constant oppression of Christians in the West. I mean, that's Africa, but we have the United Kingdom, we have Canada, we have America. Christians are routinely subjugated. Maybe not murdered. Maybe not brutally beat up, but we're still persecuted. Obviously murder is the last stage of persecution. But like it's always, oh, the Jews, oh, the Jews, why? Like that's kind of what he's asking. And you even ask the question, it's like, oh, that's racist. Or that's an anti-Semitic. Oh, that's a misogynist too. I'm not sure. Like they just throw out words, this is offensive. It's offensive because he's making a statement to people who were there. I mean, he does speak, I don't know who this Paul Daniel is. He says, you don't speak for, it's really offensive. Really offensive. It's not conservative. How is it, how is it, how is it? What is conservative then? Right? They just part of the disregard the parts of the Bible. He's saying disregard the Bible, he's not saying that. Sorry, Barton William Wolf, Mark and a boy that had silly. I'm a Christian. A Jew gave me salvation. Yeah, let's look at this more. I'm gonna look at this more. A Jew gave me salvation. Jews wrote the New Testament. Jew hate gets you nowhere with me. So first of all, he's not hating anybody. Okay, so just stop with the whole nonsense. Jew hate, he's not hating anybody. Okay. It's so stupid. Like you have to define even what you mean by hate. Telling somebody, like this is the same level of hating so-called quote unquote, a gay person, when you say, hey man, the Bible says, there you go, God says, 10 commandments, et cetera. Being homosexual, it's a sin. God hates it. Oh, that's hateful. Right, that's what the left says. And the left uses LGBT stuff. The left uses LGBT stuff to strangle Christians. Right, you hate, you hate, you gotta be tolerant. The right who's not Christian, although some Christians get mixed up in it, e.g. dispensationalists, uses things like Israel to strangle the Bible. Strangle God's word. You can't talk about that. You can't tell, you can't tell Ben Shapiro to repent. Yeah, is he a sinner? Is he human? Yeah, Ben Shapiro should repent and believe the gospel. He's, he's by all accounts of Jew. Jews don't have another way of salvation. I mean, but again, this is dispensation. This is what I believed because I was taught it in a good church, caveat. Bigger church, it was in the shadow of MacArthur's church years ago in California. And I remember more than one time hearing things, you know, mostly like side stuff, not necessarily from the pulpit, although I'm sure it was. And it's like, so you tell me there's two ways, like there's the Christian way and then like there's the Jewish way to salvation. Did Jews need to repent or not? And it was never like fully said they don't or they do sadly to my shame. I didn't really ask for clarification. I certainly would now. But this is about love. And this is about justice. This is about truth. These things matter. And yet Christians, oh, this is a fence. This is deeply offensive. You don't speak for me. Okay, maybe this person, this conservative group doesn't speak for you fine, but do you know what it means to be conserved? I mean, maybe not. But again, what is this say? A Jew gave me salvation. No, no, he didn't. A Jew's wrote the New Testament. No, no, they didn't. Jew hate gets in a room with me. Now you think, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, Jesus, what's Jewish? Okay, sure, yes, he was Jewish, but he was also God. Was the God part Jewish? Now we're not talking about partialism here because Jesus was fully God and fully man. Was he born in Palestine? Is Palestine that area, and was it called Palestine for literal centuries up until 1948? Yes. So this says nothing to do with hate. This has to do with reality. This has to do with what is, right? That's the difference with so many people. They just kind of get caught up in the newspaper or new current stuff or like a tweet or just whatever they've heard in soundbites. And it's like, sure, I understand your point. But this is where the Catholics go as well. They say, you know, Mary's the mother of Jesus. Mary's the mother of God. No, she's not. Like she's not. Yes, sure, she's the mother of the human part. Sure, but God, the father is the father of the father part or of the human part. Like Mary was a willing servant. That was it. She didn't do anything special. We're not gonna worship her. We're not gonna venerate her. We're not gonna have all special days for her silliness. Okay? Quit it, Roman Catholics. Knock it off. It's not good. Okay? Furthermore, same thing with this where we're saying Jesus, oh, he's Jewish, he's Jewish, Jewish. Oh, the New Testament. No, God wrote the New Testament. Just like he wrote the Old Testament. Yes, he used human author, sure. But you can't just say that and pretend like the other half of the part as it were doesn't exist, okay? Salvation is from the Jews as scripture says. Yes, uh-huh, sure. Right, but who sends it? Who picked the Jews to begin with? Or the Hebrews, really? Who picked them? Not because they were a greater nation, not because they were better, not because of anything good in them, but so that they would be a light unto the world. And yet today, and since AD 70, especially, they prance around with their chests and their chins up high, looking down at everyone else. Sure, not all of them do that. I'm talking in generalities and I'm talking about the religion in general. And if you go back and read the Talmud, which is done generally after, written much after the New Testament, the hatred for Christians, the hatred for Christ is palpable. It is thick and cut out with a knife, it's so thick. It's bad. And to think modern Jews are just a little misunderstanding. You know, they love the Old Testament, they love the law, they love the Ten Commandments, they love the first five books, the Torah. Well, first of all, that doesn't save you. Christ saves you, right? Jesus saves you, not adhering to the Old Testament law. Never did, never will. We'll still go to passage, real quick. Okay, Galatians, it bears repeating, it needs to be said too many times. Paul and Apostle, not from men nor through man. So not from Jewish men nor through a Jewish man. Could also be said as that, because Jews are men, right? But through Jesus Christ, the Jew, right? Do they even talk about that? Does any New Testament author say, Jesus was Jewish by the way, he was Hebrew, he was the tribe of Judah. Yes, those are realities, I'm not denying that. But that's not the focus, that's not the main part, that's not the thing we should be looking at. Okay, you're doing it, you're doing injustice to the thing. Okay, and we get it all sorts of trinitarian heresies. If you tiptoe too much past that, was he half man and half God, partialism, or he became God or he added, or he was really just a phantom, like all that stuff's been dealt with, not dealing with that here, second, late first century, second century, even in the third century, all the heresies about Christ, they've been answered by far, far more brilliant men than me. But through Jesus Christ, and God the Father who raised him from the dead, okay? Grace to you. And he just jumps right in. I'm so quickly, I'm a astonished, you quick, so quickly deserting him who called you by the grace of Christ to a different gospel. Not that there is another, but that there is one that troubles you and distort the gospel of Christ. Judaism, Islam, Mormonism, they all distort the gospel. Okay, they all have a wrong Jesus, the liberals, the red letter progressive gay Christians, James Talleriko, I need to do some stuff on him, although he might drop out, I don't know, he's special, special kid, Opie. They have a different gospel. They don't have a gospel that saves. They take it and they smoosh it up, they twist it around and they spit out something else. It's not the gospel. And Paul, in his first letter, go figure, in his first letter, Paul warns. This is the first letter he wrote, right? Not Romans, not Corinthians, Galatians. Wrote this like 15 years after the resurrection. He gives his little testimony and then what? Little testimony, it's testimony. Goes up to Jerusalem, talks about Peter. We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentiles sinners. Sinners there, doesn't mean they're not sinners, it just means outcast something else. It's a coochewal thing. Yet we know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we also have believed in Jesus Christ in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law, no one will be justified. I could do more. Go read Galatians, do yourself a favor. Just go read Galatians. Five chapters, six chapters. I never remember six chapters. This is it. Six. It's so good. It's so good because again, this is Bible. Like in so much of the scripture, sometimes it's a little foggy, sometimes it's a little confusing, but most of the time it's pretty clear. Most of the time it makes sense. Most of the time you read it and then you reread it in context and you say, oh, that's what he's talking about. This is how you can come to conclusions very easily. And this is why the historic church, the Roman church and many other groups and cults over the centuries don't want you to read the scripture. Because if a normal person reads it, they're much more difficult to control. They're much more difficult to be swayed by every wind of doctrine, to and fro politically. You have to stick with this group or that group. There is one way of selfish and there's no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. The name Jesus. The Jew. Oh, just Jesus. Jesus the Messiah, Jesus the Christ. The Jews the Messiah. He came first to the law sheep of Israel and then what did they say? Some came, yes, all the first people that were Christians in Acts two are Christians or are Jewish. It's great. Praise God. But not all of them. Nicodemus, Joseph Verimethiah, Rich Jews. But a lot of the Sanhedra in the 70 that all made the rules upheld the temple. As far as we know, they didn't repent. And they suffered loss 40 years later when Rome finally destroyed Jerusalem. This matters. This is literally life and death. This is eternity hanging in the balance. Like it doesn't get bigger than this. It just doesn't. There is one way. Christ, Jesus the Lord. The perfect man that the God who took on flesh and dwelt among us. We know the passages. I hope. But there is no other gospel. There isn't a Gentile way and a Jewish way. So dispensationalists, if you're dispensationalist, you used to be a recovering. I don't know. Drop a comment. Let me know. Tell me. Like, did you think this way that I did? Like there were two ways or you weren't really sure? I'm curious. Let me know in the comments. But there isn't another way. I mean, if there is, how could there be a way and how could there be another way? And also you're saying that this is false, right? How are you going to be justified by works? What is that keeping the law? How? How much law? So you're dead? Good luck with that. But again, Paul's word here in verse 16. We believe that Jesus Christ is justified by faith in Christ. Not by the works of law, because by the works of law no one is justified. Mark this. That's either true or it's not. Right? There's no other option. It's true or it isn't true. There isn't like a third way option. Like, yeah, maybe it's true, sort of. Sometimes. Well, you know, when the sun's setting, you know, no, true or not true. If you're Christian, you want to love God's word, you want to believe what God has said. You trust it. You believe it by faith, because you can prove it, quote unquote. Yes, you can prove it's written down. You can prove I witness accounts of their resurrection, et cetera. But ultimately we as ascertained by faith. But so do the scientists, so do the pagan, so do the atheists. They believe in all their things by faith too. But their faith is irrational, because it's not based in reality. It's not based with a God who reveals himself. It's not based in a book who says all the bad things about all the heroes, right? You ever notice that? All the heroes, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob. Everybody except Christ, Peter, Paul, they're all idiots. You and me included if we were in the Bible. Doesn't he doesn't gloss over all these things? Oh, yeah, that happened before. Yeah, I know. What he really meant to say, it wasn't, you know, I could see how you could think, well, it was really a no. I'm a sinner. King David's best example, right? Man, after God's own heart, though, these things matter. Dispensationalism matters. I would go so far as it says, it's heresy. It's not just false teaching, because I would make a distinction that false teaching sometimes can be wrong. I could say something false. You could believe something false. Say something false, your pastor, et cetera. But you're not seeking to divide. You're not seeking to take out and bring and break apart people and do this or that. I would say, heresy, this is my own definition based on other things. Heresy is false teaching, but it's also seeking to divide and lop off and bring off and start a new group. That's why, like, Mormonism's heresy. It's not just, well, we've got some misunderstandings about Jesus. No, you want your own group. You want your own thing. So anyway, put a longer video today. You'll take care of God bless. I do have a regular channel. You can subscribe to as well. I have some other content on there. You're on YouTube.
