james: So the other day someone asked me when it comes to sports or when it comes to trying achieve something and you haven't got there yet. so specifically this individual has been struggling with injuries for so many years now or is just on the brink of playing in the NRL but just hasn't cracked it and obviously age comes in into it, ⁓ where they're getting a bit older, they've got family or they Got a partner and they're wanting to expand now, and now it's almost like a conflict of values. Do I still pursue this of trying to get to the to the NRL? And that just shared with him was that from myself, obviously I wanted to play at the top and stay at the top, but ⁓ at the time I I'd just gone through so many injuries and There was one point where I thought I was still playing, then I got a call saying, Do I want to go and coach? And that's when I knew I think it was time to just take that leap of and just trust where the path is going. And something I told him with all the injuries that he's gone through or all the setbacks that he's gone through, what I've learned is that those those skills or all those setbacks are more valuable. Than actually playing in the NRL or playing at the top. those lessons, a lot of people never go through those lessons, but you got to go through it, I've got go through it, and ⁓ I've come the other side and I know how valuable these skills are that I've learned. And I probably ⁓ would have even ⁓ these skills about or even myself to then give back to other people and help others learn how to I guess properly or learn how to deal with adversity and change the meaning of when things happen or that don't happen for you. So you may you may think about it in your own life where there's so many setbacks, could be a relationship setback, could be a work setback, could be any sort of setback, and it seems like it's you've lived so many lives. in one life but all these lessons I think it's from my understanding it's it's your purpose to help others overcome that and if you can help others overcome that it helps you understand what you've gone through and then it elevates the people that you're helping but also elev elevates yourself and I think there's is it where individuals that that have only experienced it Come back and help, and it's more relatable because been through it. So yeah, just a thought to think about.
