James Bonilla is a retired professor of organizational leadership from Hamline University, and the author of his memoir, An Eye For An I, Growing up with Blindness, Bigotry, and Family Mental Illness. In this thoughtful and reflective conversation, James talks about his upbringing as a blind Puerto Rican in New York, his journey in education (all the way to higher edu), his advocacy work, and the process of writing his memoir.
