00:00:17.320 --> 00:00:20.000
right now with Neil Libichuk. He is with Giving Hope Bingo,
6
00:00:20.039 --> 00:00:22.019
and they've got some fun stuff coming up to celebrate
7
00:00:22.059 --> 00:00:25.120
their 10th anniversary. First of all, Neil... Thanks for taking
8
00:00:25.140 --> 00:00:27.660
the time. 10th anniversary. When is the official day? Do
9
00:00:27.679 --> 00:00:28.539
you know what the day is?
10
00:00:28.640 --> 00:00:32.520
Well, I think it was actually this past Saturday, but
11
00:00:32.579 --> 00:00:35.560
we're celebrating it all this week. So we're going to
12
00:00:35.590 --> 00:00:37.950
celebrate it. We're going to start on Wednesday. We're going
13
00:00:37.969 --> 00:00:40.969
to continue Thursday, Friday, Saturday, then finish it off on
14
00:00:41.070 --> 00:00:45.609
Sunday with different payouts each night. The favorite game of everybody, John,
15
00:00:45.689 --> 00:00:47.729
is the you pick them game. That's where we give
16
00:00:47.770 --> 00:00:50.429
you a card and people pick their own eight numbers.
17
00:00:50.509 --> 00:00:52.829
And we call those eight numbers. They win a prize,
18
00:00:52.850 --> 00:00:55.710
but we're going to, Start that off on Wednesday. Instead
19
00:00:55.729 --> 00:00:56.829
of $ 150, we're going to start it off at $ 250.
20
00:00:56.689 --> 00:00:58.070
Every session, it's going to grow. So it's going to
21
00:00:58.090 --> 00:01:00.429
go $ 500 on Thursday, $ 750 Friday, Saturday afternoon, Saturday night,
22
00:01:00.450 --> 00:01:11.859
and then Sunday, it finishes off at $ 1, 500. But in
23
00:01:11.920 --> 00:01:15.140
addition to that, Saturday, we're going to be doing kind
24
00:01:15.159 --> 00:01:17.599
of more of a family day atmosphere. We want to
25
00:01:17.620 --> 00:01:20.280
invite kids in. Kids of any ages can come down.
26
00:01:20.579 --> 00:01:23.640
Seven and older can play anytime. But for this Saturday,
27
00:01:23.689 --> 00:01:25.890
we're just going to say, bring your family down. All
28
00:01:25.950 --> 00:01:29.010
kids play for $ 5. They get every game we play
29
00:01:29.189 --> 00:01:31.650
for the entire session. So make it a family day.
30
00:01:31.849 --> 00:01:34.890
We're going to be handing out Free cake for our anniversary,
31
00:01:34.909 --> 00:01:38.439
10-year anniversary, and just having a lot of fun on
32
00:01:38.599 --> 00:01:41.180
that day. And then Saturday night, we're going to do our,
33
00:01:41.319 --> 00:01:44.439
I think this is our seventh or eighth annual adult
34
00:01:44.560 --> 00:01:49.420
Halloween party. Get dressed up, come down, play bingo, have
35
00:01:49.459 --> 00:01:52.230
some great food and beverages, then go out and hit
36
00:01:52.290 --> 00:01:54.609
the streets after that. Because we finish up, I think
37
00:01:54.629 --> 00:01:57.109
you know this, we finish up about 9.15 a.m. So
38
00:01:57.150 --> 00:02:00.189
it's plenty early to have fun and kind of get
39
00:02:00.209 --> 00:02:02.549
your night started. And who knows, maybe win some money
40
00:02:02.569 --> 00:02:04.969
to take out onto the streets for the rest of
41
00:02:04.989 --> 00:02:07.629
your Halloween evening. And then Sunday, we're going to be
42
00:02:07.650 --> 00:02:12.629
doing $ 1, 199 jackpot, $ 1, 500 you pick up. Probably be giving
43
00:02:12.650 --> 00:02:15.560
away about $ 6, 000 on Sunday night. So it's going to
44
00:02:15.569 --> 00:02:16.069
be a big night.
45
00:02:16.319 --> 00:02:17.740
Yeah, it's going to be a very big night. And
46
00:02:17.780 --> 00:02:20.300
what a cool way to celebrate 10 amazing years of
47
00:02:20.340 --> 00:02:22.500
doing awesome stuff in the Sioux Empire. For folks that
48
00:02:22.539 --> 00:02:25.469
don't know, Giving Hope Bingo is a nonprofit. So when
49
00:02:25.490 --> 00:02:27.650
you're in there having fun with your friends, not only
50
00:02:27.669 --> 00:02:30.110
are you having fun, you're doing good for the community
51
00:02:30.150 --> 00:02:32.210
as well. And over those 10 years, you have given
52
00:02:32.250 --> 00:02:35.060
out a pile of money to a bunch of amazing organizations.
53
00:02:35.349 --> 00:02:38.099
It's one of those humbling experiences where you... you look
54
00:02:38.159 --> 00:02:40.439
back over 10 years and you think, how did we
55
00:02:40.520 --> 00:02:43.680
go from our first year, we were able to give
56
00:02:43.719 --> 00:02:46.560
away $ 17, 500 and I thought I had the world by
57
00:02:46.580 --> 00:02:49.879
the tail. Jump forward to 10 years in between our
58
00:02:49.969 --> 00:02:54.469
fundraising activities that we do for sports teams and dance teams.
59
00:02:54.569 --> 00:02:57.590
And we do those Friday, starting in October, all the
60
00:02:57.629 --> 00:03:00.770
way through beginning of April. But between those and our
61
00:03:00.830 --> 00:03:04.219
grants that we've written to different organizations that work with kids,
62
00:03:04.460 --> 00:03:07.000
we're going to surpass a million dollars in 10 years.
63
00:03:07.099 --> 00:03:10.080
And it's It's pretty humbling and really an honor to
64
00:03:10.120 --> 00:03:13.240
know or privilege to know that the community has stood
65
00:03:13.280 --> 00:03:16.099
with us. As you know, John, you know, we got started,
66
00:03:16.319 --> 00:03:19.909
COVID hit. We didn't know when we came out of COVID,
67
00:03:20.069 --> 00:03:22.909
would people come back in? How many would come back in?
68
00:03:22.949 --> 00:03:26.330
People came back. We've grown the business again since then
69
00:03:26.710 --> 00:03:28.909
and continue to give money away. And like I say,
70
00:03:28.949 --> 00:03:32.439
this year, Thursday night is really our big night. for
71
00:03:32.520 --> 00:03:37.139
checks check presentations we've got six different organizations that we're
72
00:03:37.159 --> 00:03:39.500
going to present checks to john i think we're going
73
00:03:39.520 --> 00:03:44.669
to give away about 41 000 on thursday night we're
74
00:03:44.689 --> 00:03:47.949
doing a special event on thursday really want to invite
75
00:03:48.009 --> 00:03:50.719
people down to participate in this But we're going to
76
00:03:50.740 --> 00:03:53.340
start it out. We're going to open doors at 4.30.
77
00:03:53.340 --> 00:03:56.479
And then we've got an organization, The Taste of Europe,
78
00:03:56.539 --> 00:03:59.520
is going to come in with decadent desserts. And we're
79
00:03:59.539 --> 00:04:04.539
going to have all sorts of specialty desserts, European style,
80
00:04:05.020 --> 00:04:07.669
as well as Americanized. And we're going to be pouring
81
00:04:07.750 --> 00:04:10.009
wine all night. So it's one fee gets you in
82
00:04:10.030 --> 00:04:12.370
the door, $ 60. Now, you can spend as much as
83
00:04:12.409 --> 00:04:15.050
you want, but $ 60 will get you a set package.
84
00:04:15.270 --> 00:04:20.529
That includes the bingo, includes desserts. It includes wine all
85
00:04:20.550 --> 00:04:23.800
night long. We're just going to have a good time celebrating.
86
00:04:23.879 --> 00:04:26.120
We're going to have a photo booth there. We've got
87
00:04:26.160 --> 00:04:28.240
a gentleman coming in. If you'd like to get a
88
00:04:28.259 --> 00:04:30.699
10-year t-shirt, you can buy that from him. And he's
89
00:04:30.720 --> 00:04:33.339
given a percentage of his sales that night back to
90
00:04:33.379 --> 00:04:36.120
Giving Hope just to keep this ball rolling. So we're
91
00:04:36.160 --> 00:04:39.319
pretty excited. I'm thinking we're kind of finalizing the numbers,
92
00:04:39.379 --> 00:04:44.170
but I'm thinking we're going to be about 1 million people. $ 10, 000,
93
00:04:42.829 --> 00:04:46.709
$ 1 million, $ 12, 000 that we're going to surpass that million dollars.
94
00:04:46.730 --> 00:04:48.769
So we're pretty excited. Groups, if you've got a group
95
00:04:48.810 --> 00:04:51.250
that you'd like to come down, five or more, give
96
00:04:51.290 --> 00:04:53.689
us a call. We'll make a reservation and make sure
97
00:04:53.709 --> 00:04:57.110
your table's saved because we're anticipating a pretty big crowd
98
00:04:57.189 --> 00:04:59.370
on Thursday night. And we really want to make sure
99
00:04:59.389 --> 00:05:01.990
that people coming down have a place to sit and
100
00:05:02.009 --> 00:05:04.370
they can sit together if they're a group. So yeah,
101
00:05:04.389 --> 00:05:06.509
give us a call, make a reservation, and we'll get
102
00:05:06.560 --> 00:05:07.569
your table saved for you.
103
00:05:07.829 --> 00:05:09.939
I love that. Neil, thank you for taking the time today.
104
00:05:09.980 --> 00:05:11.720

go from our first year, we were able to give
56
00:02:43.719 --> 00:02:46.560
away $ 17, 500 and I thought I had the world by
57
00:02:46.580 --> 00:02:49.879
the tail. Jump forward to 10 years in between our
58
00:02:49.969 --> 00:02:54.469
fundraising activities that we do for sports teams and dance teams.
59
00:02:54.569 --> 00:02:57.590
And we do those Friday, starting in October, all the
60
00:02:57.629 --> 00:03:00.770
way through beginning of April. But between those and our
61
00:03:00.830 --> 00:03:04.219
grants that we've written to different organizations that work with kids,
62
00:03:04.460 --> 00:03:07.000
we're going to surpass a million dollars in 10 years.
63
00:03:07.099 --> 00:03:10.080
And it's It's pretty humbling and really an honor to
64
00:03:10.120 --> 00:03:13.240
know or privilege to know that the community has stood
65
00:03:13.280 --> 00:03:16.099
with us. As you know, John, you know, we got started,
66
00:03:16.319 --> 00:03:19.909
COVID hit. We didn't know when we came out of COVID,
67
00:03:20.069 --> 00:03:22.909
would people come back in? How many would come back in?
68
00:03:22.949 --> 00:03:26.330
People came back. We've grown the business again since then
69
00:03:26.710 --> 00:03:28.909
and continue to give money away. And like I say,
70
00:03:28.949 --> 00:03:32.439
this year, Thursday night is really our big night. for
71
00:03:32.520 --> 00:03:37.139
checks check presentations we've got six different organizations that we're
72
00:03:37.159 --> 00:03:39.500
going to present checks to john i think we're going
73
00:03:39.520 --> 00:03:44.669
to give away about 41 000 on thursday night we're
74
00:03:44.689 --> 00:03:47.949
doing a special event on thursday really want to invite
75
00:03:48.009 --> 00:03:50.719
people down to participate in this But we're going to
76
00:03:50.740 --> 00:03:53.340
start it out. We're going to open doors at 4.30.
77
00:03:53.340 --> 00:03:56.479
And then we've got an organization, The Taste of Europe,
78
00:03:56.539 --> 00:03:59.520
is going to come in with decadent desserts. And we're
79
00:03:59.539 --> 00:04:04.539
going to have all sorts of specialty desserts, European style,
80
00:04:05.020 --> 00:04:07.669
as well as Americanized. And we're going to be pouring
81
00:04:07.750 --> 00:04:10.009
wine all night. So it's one fee gets you in
82
00:04:10.030 --> 00:04:12.370
the door, $ 60. Now, you can spend as much as
83
00:04:12.409 --> 00:04:15.050
you want, but $ 60 will get you a set package.
84
00:04:15.270 --> 00:04:20.529
That includes the bingo, includes desserts. It includes wine all
85
00:04:20.550 --> 00:04:23.800
night long. We're just going to have a good time celebrating.
86
00:04:23.879 --> 00:04:26.120
We're going to have a photo booth there. We've got
87
00:04:26.160 --> 00:04:28.240
a gentleman coming in. If you'd like to get a
88
00:04:28.259 --> 00:04:30.699
10-year t-shirt, you can buy that from him. And he's
89
00:04:30.720 --> 00:04:33.339
given a percentage of his sales that night back to
90
00:04:33.379 --> 00:04:36.120
Giving Hope just to keep this ball rolling. So we're
91
00:04:36.160 --> 00:04:39.319
pretty excited. I'm thinking we're kind of finalizing the numbers,
92
00:04:39.379 --> 00:04:44.170
but I'm thinking we're going to be about 1 million people. $ 10, 000,
93
00:04:42.829 --> 00:04:46.709
$ 1 million, $ 12, 000 that we're going to surpass that million dollars.
94
00:04:46.730 --> 00:04:48.769
So we're pretty excited. Groups, if you've got a group
95
00:04:48.810 --> 00:04:51.250
that you'd like to come down, five or more, give
96
00:04:51.290 --> 00:04:53.689
us a call. We'll make a reservation and make sure
97
00:04:53.709 --> 00:04:57.110
your table's saved because we're anticipating a pretty big crowd
98
00:04:57.189 --> 00:04:59.370
on Thursday night. And we really want to make sure
99
00:04:59.389 --> 00:05:01.990
that people coming down have a place to sit and
100
00:05:02.009 --> 00:05:04.370
they can sit together if they're a group. So yeah,
101
00:05:04.389 --> 00:05:06.509
give us a call, make a reservation, and we'll get
102
00:05:06.560 --> 00:05:07.569
your table saved for you.
103
00:05:07.829 --> 00:05:09.939
