Castlevania's Belmont's Curse revives the legendary 2D series with striking visuals, a distinctive soundtrack, solid combat and excellent exploration. It's not as break-through as some other recent Metroidvanias, but it nails the fundamentals in a way that's sure to satisfy fans of the genre.
