Episode 374:
🎙 This Week on the CommanderSmiths Podcast 🎙
We’re digging into not one... but TWO major Secret Lair releases — the Everyone’s Invited Commander Deck and the Ultimate Pencil Superdrop — both dropping Monday, May 12th!
We break down what’s in the deck, the five new Secret Lair drops (including some wild raised foil options), and tackle the big question: Are these new price points actually worth it?
With the Commander Deck priced at $200 and foil drops hitting $99... we’re running the full financial breakdown, explaining Break Points (BP), and helping you figure out whether you should go in heavy or skip it altogether.
📦 What’s in the Everyone’s Invited Commander Deck?

💡 What is a Break Point (BP)?
Break Point helps us figure out how many copies of a drop you’d need to buy to “earn” one for free through reselling. It’s a way to measure value for flippers or collectors who want to keep a set and sell the rest.
📊 Example:
If a drop costs $40 and nets $80 in profit, your BP is 2... you buy 2, sell 1 to cover both.
If the net profit is only $55, BP is 4... need to buy 4 to “earn” a free one.
→ Lower BP = better value
→ No BP = value just isn’t there right now
Either way... we cover the total dollar value AND the break points... so you get the best of both worlds. It’s all about helping you figure out how to rate these drops — not just hype them.
