"The entry level for engaging with the Earth guardians, the profound Earth powers, is always animals. Go to animals first."
Connecting with nature spirits and elemental guides can freak modern people out, so Mellissa starts with the part that tends to feel most accessible: animals. In this episode, she explores the layers of relating with animal guides, elemental energies, and the distinct personalities she experiences in the natural world.
Mellissa also shares her encounters with the tall spirits on her own land, what she learned from meeting a wounded spirit of the land, and why boundaries belong in spiritual relationships too. She gets into human choice, opening communication with non-human beings, and what can happen when we consciously ally with an element like water.
In This Episode, Mellissa Talks About: • Why animals can be an accessible starting place for working with Earth-based spiritual guides • Moving from animal guides into fire, water, Earth, and other elemental energies • Mellissa's experience with 20-foot-tall spirits running alongside her car on her forested property • Approaching a wounded spirit of the land with empathy and clear boundaries • Opening communication with nature spirits without getting hung up on labels like fairies, trolls, or elves • Human choice, focused intention, and Mellissa's experience of consciously allying with water
