Speaker 1: Good Morning Football is the production of the NFL in partnership with iHeartRadio.
00:00:22
Speaker 2: Good Morning Football.
00:00:24
Speaker 3: That's right, this is Good Morning Football. We are live in both Los Angeles and New York.
00:00:29
Speaker 2: It's GM at the coast to coast.
00:00:30
Speaker 3: It's Wednesday, November thirteenth. This is Akbar, Buzzer, B.
00:00:33
Speaker 2: And Millips happening. Good, good morning, looking all fresh.
00:00:36
Speaker 3: I know I'm having like an abri lavine moment here. Peter Schrager and Kyle Brandt in New York.
00:00:41
Speaker 2: Good morning to you, gentlemen. Everybody looks great.
00:00:43
Speaker 3: Everybody feels good about a Wednesday ahead of a very busy weekend in the NFL.
00:00:46
Speaker 2: That's right, it's Wednesday.
00:00:48
Speaker 4: Yeah, Jamie, it's great to see you back from Munich. Of course now for a couple of days, and I wish there was Wednesday Night football.
00:00:53
Speaker 5: I don't want to wait for the Thursday.
00:00:55
Speaker 2: Can Can I make a bold comment?
00:00:56
Speaker 6: Okay, I don't think there's been a better weekend slate all NFL season.
00:01:02
Speaker 2: There are four different matchups.
00:01:03
Speaker 6: I'm looking at tomorrow's Commander's Eagles, which get to start it. But then if you just left the TV on it one o'clock it's Ravens Steelers at four O'clockett's Bills Chiefs. That night it's Bengals versus Chargers.
00:01:14
Speaker 2: Like I'm here for all those games. So this is the week, Week eleven, let's go. I'm all right, let's start.
00:01:19
Speaker 3: With that first matchup of the week, shall we. It's a massive NFC East moment. It's tomorrow for Thursday Night football. If Shandon Daniels, who now has become the fourth rookie quarterback to win seven or more of his team's first ten games since nineteen seventy Dak Prescott did it, Roethlisberger did it, Kyle Whorton did it. Now Jade Daniels, he's quoked about what it will be like to play in Philadelphia.
00:01:42
Speaker 7: We saded just to go to Philly in that time of atmosphere. They got very passionate fans. So man, I can't wait. I can't wait to go out there and see that that fan base and just experience that. I know it's gonna be a great venue, a great site. I'll say, no, it's gonna be two teams that playing with each other for the first time, the King and stuff like that. But within the locker room, and within the team is you those go out there, we will playing ball. It's another game and we got to go out there and give our best, and I know we're going to get Philly's best.
00:02:12
Speaker 3: The thing about Rookie saying that quarterbacks in general is that they go to Philly for the first time, they're like, yeah, I heard, it's passionate. You kind of worry they're gonna get eaten alive. But with the way Jane Daniels has been playing, you don't worry about that that much. I look forward to this moment for Daniels. Let's take a look at the NFC standings real quick. There's a tight race between the Eagles and the Commanders atop the division, not the two teams you probably would have picked, as the Cowboys have fallen out of favor and the Giants are trying to figure their life out. So let's keep an eye on the Eagles and Commanders for Thursday night. Peter, first page of the book here ahead of Thursday night football.
00:02:46
Speaker 2: What are you most interested in?
00:02:48
Speaker 6: Yeah, it's funny if you compare last year's Eagles team to this year's Eagles team. They had similar records at this point, yet it felt like the Eagles were in dire straits already by this point, and in a couple of weeks from this point, they would end up firing their defensive coordinator after starting off ten.
00:03:04
Speaker 2: And do you realize how good the Eagles defense is?
00:03:06
Speaker 6: Do you realize how good it's been since that Debaco and Tampa Bay they went on their bye week, they have won.
00:03:11
Speaker 2: Five straight games.
00:03:13
Speaker 6: Guys, In these last five games, the Eagles defense has surrendered an average of under ten points per game.
00:03:20
Speaker 2: They don't give up points. It's the best in the NFL.
00:03:23
Speaker 6: They're also first in total defense, first in passing defense, they're second in rushing defense, and they're second.
00:03:29
Speaker 2: In sacks with nineteen sacks.
00:03:32
Speaker 6: And it's not Fletcher Cox out there, he's not there anymore. It's not Benny Curry who's being honored tomorrow night.
00:03:38
Speaker 2: It's Josh Sweat, It's Zach Bond. And then on the back.
00:03:42
Speaker 6: End, you've got these rookies that are just delightful to watch.
00:03:45
Speaker 2: Cooper de Jean, Quinnion Mitchell.
00:03:47
Speaker 6: Both of them, the first and second round picks, have been outstanding. The Eagles defense has won five straight games, and they have done so with a punishing defense that also has takeaways.
00:03:59
Speaker 2: I don't think we're watching because they.
00:04:00
Speaker 6: Haven't played world beaters, they haven't played the Lions, they haven't played the top ten teams in the league, the Chiefs the last few weeks, and we get it, they've won games that they should win. But the storyline in Philly last year was that we're not winning the Super Bowl if our defense doesn't figure things out, and it was so bad that they fired Sean to said after a ten and one start.
00:04:17
Speaker 2: The storyline this year.
00:04:18
Speaker 6: In Philly is our offense doesn't have to be perfect because our defense is that good. And Vic Fangio, it feels like an overnight deal over the last five weeks since the buye has turned this thing on, I am excited to see this Eagles defense get a real challenge, and a challenge from a rookie quarterback and an offense that has been putting up a lot of points every single week.
00:04:39
Speaker 2: Eagles commanders week and we're starting off.
00:04:40
Speaker 6: With the good Eagles defense. Didn't see that coming headed into the year.
00:04:43
Speaker 8: Yeah, it feels like a matchup, a big time fight matchup, right, I know we got one on Netflix coming up, you know, with Mike Tyson. But I mean, this one feels like it's it. And I am looking at Jaydon Daniels in this matchup and just kind of looking at We've seen his calm demeanor, his kind of under control making all the right decisions. We've also seen that not a lot of hype coming in right. We knew that he was highly drafted, but Caleb Williams stole the show, especially earlier on, and he's just kind of been getting better and better. But this is the first time I'm looking at you know, Jade Daniels and going, you are coming off of this upsetting loss. I know this because I have no facial hair, and so he's thinking about my facial hair. But no, in all seriousness, he's going, you know what, my back is up against the wall. We are fighting against the team and playing against the team.
00:05:33
Speaker 2: That's in front of us. They just jumped us to get into that number one spot.
00:05:38
Speaker 8: I want to see if he's got that number one stun of mentality. I want to see if he's got a little bit of that bounce back attitude in this matchup, and that's going to say a lot for the remaining of the ring part of the season. If I see that doll come out of him and I see him just dominate a very good Eagles team, I know that he's ready for that Super Bowl run.
00:05:57
Speaker 4: If anybody wasn't watching, Akbar wager that he thought that the Commanders would beat the Steelers and if they didn't, he would shave his and mustache. They didn't, he did shave his goatee and mustache.
00:06:08
Speaker 2: And by the way, if the.
00:06:09
Speaker 4: Eagles win this game, Achbar will wax his eyebrows. And so we're just gonna keep removing hair from his body whatever we have to do. And I'm telling you, once this thing starts going, you cannot stop it. I can't believe this is the Thursday night game. I'm so excited. I feel like they're gonna pull a trick on us. And it's actually Giants Patriots. No, it's actually Eagles Commanders. And you know what, I think it was yesterday something Peter said caught my mind when you were just kind of going and I'm paraphrase, and you said something about that the Eagles don't have some sort of hype or something right now.
00:06:37
Speaker 2: And I stopped and I was like, why do you think that is? And we didn't really know.
00:06:40
Speaker 4: I do know, and if you really look into it, I'm calling Commanders Eagles that haven't beaten anybody Bowl seven and three and seven and two. But let's just take a look as why don't the Eagles in particular have more hype. Start at the bottom with me, Eagles lest this games, Cowboy's terrible, Jaguars terrible, Bengals can't figure themselves out, Giants terrible, Brown's terrible.
00:06:59
Speaker 5: They won that.
00:06:59
Speaker 4: Game, and the Eagles fans wanted to attack the head coach after a win, and then they got crushed by the Buccaneers. So, as always, it's not their fault. But there's a reason there isn't a hype for them. They have not played a primetime game since the Falcons lost in Week two in which Saquon dropped the pass.
00:07:18
Speaker 2: They've just been beating bad.
00:07:19
Speaker 4: Teams and games you're only watching on red zone, all right.
00:07:22
Speaker 5: So that's the Eagles.
00:07:24
Speaker 2: Check out.
00:07:24
Speaker 4: The Commanders look at their last wins and again.
00:07:27
Speaker 2: Start at the bottom.
00:07:29
Speaker 4: Steelers they lose, Giants, terrible, Bear's terrible, Panthers terrible, lose to the Ravens, beat the Browns.
00:07:35
Speaker 2: It's there's not that signature win.
00:07:37
Speaker 4: And as always, when we get into these situations, there's nothing you can do about it until until you get to Thursday.
00:07:44
Speaker 2: Night football and you play a team that matters.
00:07:47
Speaker 4: There will be many judgments cast for and against these two teams. On Friday morning. Philadelphia loses. It's like we knew you never had it. Here comes the late season collapse again. Washington loses. This like nice story, but you're turning into a pumpkin. Also, we're gonna see a lot of Eagles coming Tomorrow nights, then Sunday night in primetime, and then late windows CBS against the Ravens. So we have Eagles coming down the stretch right now. Guys, it's coming this. They haven't played anybody, beat anybody. That's gonna be a long distance story. But I really do think a seven to two team in that market, with that many famous players and a recent Super Bowl pedigree, the hype is low right now, and I think there's a healthy skepticism about last year. I think the last time we saw them in primetime it was months ago, and they've kind of blew it. There's the Sirianni stuff, and there's just unsavory things people don't love Peter's right. The defensive football has been fantastic. I'm developing a take on Saquon right now that the reason he is not in the MVP conversation is because of the Tush push, and if you took that away.
00:08:48
Speaker 2: Saquon would be in the VB conversation.
00:08:50
Speaker 4: You have about seven more touchdowns and I think they're depriving him of that. But get ready for this game tomorrow night, because this is the haven't beaten anybody bull and that excuse is over.
00:08:59
Speaker 2: One of these teams is gonna win.
00:09:00
Speaker 5: One of these teams is gonna be a pretender.
00:09:02
Speaker 9: Yeah.
00:09:02
Speaker 6: I also think the way the game ended for Washington and Pittsburgh was really interesting because that's not a short week, right, So you lose in that heartbreaking fashion and obviously goes off sides and Russ is doing then we thought at the first, I thought it was interesting.
00:09:17
Speaker 2: Dan Quinn in the locker room afterwards.
00:09:19
Speaker 6: Was like, the guys are the guys are mad, the guys are angry.
00:09:22
Speaker 2: It's not shucks. We had them where we want to. The Commanders were up by ten late in that game and truly gave that game away, and.
00:09:29
Speaker 6: Even Jeremy Chinn's play where he strips the receiver on the one yard line, like, that's an amazing that felt like it was going to the commander's Wait, they lose that and then it's a quick, quick turnaround for a road division game. Young team, but there are a lot of veteran leaders. Bobby Wagner's a veteran leader, Zach Ertz, Austin Eckler, those guys have been in these games before. I'm fascinated to see how commanders come out because we know that Eagles defense is gonna be flying around.
00:09:52
Speaker 2: I find with.
00:09:52
Speaker 3: Both of these teams there's almost like a tepid optimism, only because with the Eagles, you think that they've pieced in games together, some wins together, they have Saquan, it's a wonderful story unfolding. And with the Commander is this is just unforeseen territory with them, we don't know what it's like to have a Washington franchise doing as well as they are into November. So I find it very entertaining and pending a tie to Kyle's point, between these two teams, somebody is going to bubble out to the surface.
00:10:18
Speaker 5: Now.
00:10:18
Speaker 3: With the Eagles in recent history. If this does not go well for them, and again to Kyle's point, then it becomes like the Cowboys car crash that we continue to want to watch unfold. And now the Eagles are going to be in primetime a ton in November. But if the Commanders win, I mean, my goodness, there, I feel like they're runaway for awards, Rookie of the Year, Offensive Rookie of the Year, Coach of the year. I mean, Terry McLaurin is having a storybook season. So there's a ton of cast of characters in this game that is really the earliest gift of the holiday season if it's Commander's Eagles on Thursday Night football, Peter, really quick, I know I have to get to Ian Rappaport. Can we just go around the table and just reassess how we are all feeling about Nick Sirianni right now, because, as it was mentioned, you know, his behavior kind of lends itself to somebody always having an opinion about how Sirianni's operation, what's the building, what's the feeling like in the building in Philadelphia, but also maybe the taste of Philadelphia right now about their head.
00:11:11
Speaker 6: Coach, Well, it looks like Nick struck Gold with their defensive coordinator Hire and Vic Fangio. It looks like he's struck Gold with Kellen Moore. Their offense is moving and they're seven and two. But you better believe after that Cincinnati game where they did win by a bunch of points, there were some questionable decisions and the fans still question his game management and his offensive you know, calls on some of these fourth downs and the timeouts and the way they use.
00:11:34
Speaker 2: Look, we knew this going in.
00:11:36
Speaker 6: The bar is so high in Philly, and it has been so high for so many years the last several Nick is gonna do what Nick does.
00:11:44
Speaker 2: But if they win, he is the.
00:11:45
Speaker 6: Fans favorite, and he is also favorite of the organization.
00:11:49
Speaker 8: You know, to me, Nick Sirianni, his his stability reminds me of an old school television And it's that old school television where you're constantly like trying to catch the signal instability well by the way right, because you're sitting there and you're hitting the TV and once it goes from static and then you get picturing, He's like, oh good, Like it's good, I'm good with it. But the minute best static hits in you're sitting there hitting the box, and you're hitting a box, and I think that's where we're sitting there. As long as they're.
00:12:20
Speaker 2: Doing good, everything seems fine.
00:12:22
Speaker 8: But the minute there's any bit of static, you're ready to throw the entire television out and you're just done with it because you've banged it and banged and banged it until it just stops working. And that's where I feel. That's the energy I'm feeling when it comes to the Eagles and Nick Ariane.
00:12:35
Speaker 2: Ian Rappoport, Good morning to you. Welcome into our show.
00:12:38
Speaker 3: You say things now about what's happening in the news with the NFL. Ian discuss dot dot dot is what.
00:12:44
Speaker 2: The prompter says.
00:12:45
Speaker 10: Well, let's start with these Chicago Bears. Plenty to discuss. There was plenty yesterday with the firing of Shane Walder and the offensive coordinator who they hired your great fanfare just a couple of months ago, to try to get Caleb Williams, to try to get his potential on the field, to try to get the performance out of the number one overall pick that Bears fans have been dying for. Instead, after three straight losses, after really a unbelievably rough game from Caleb Williams one hundred and forty two total yards for the offense, was sacked nine times, really just getting beat up all over the place. Waldron was out Thomas Brown, the past game coordinator who also called some plays in Carolina, he was in and really, what this does the fallout from the firing by Matt Eber Shane Waldron is it puts the spotlight on two people.
00:13:31
Speaker 2: One Caleb Williams.
00:13:32
Speaker 10: He is still their starting quarterback, but obviously needs to be better.
00:13:36
Speaker 2: When you start firing staff, as Matt.
00:13:38
Speaker 10: Eaglefous very well knows, the spotlight comes on you, you very simply need to be better. Meanwhile, one of the stories that we've been tracking for a little more than a week Dak Prescott and his hamstring. There is some finality today. He has expected to have surgery in New York City to repair that torn hamstring and avulsion that was essentially torn off the bone. He's looking at a three month recovery. Obviously, he is out for the season, should make a full recover for twenty twenty five.
00:14:06
Speaker 2: But it is Cooper Rush now going forward for Dallas oh Man.
00:14:09
Speaker 3: So not the news that Dallas wanted to hear, but rap sheet, we appreciate you. Let us know if anything else develops as the day moves on, because we have business to get to. We have actor Chad Michael Murray coming on the show. Why you may ask, he was a native of Buffalo. He is a massive Bills fan. But most importantly he has a project coming out Kyle that I just know. We're all so curious about the creative direction.
00:14:34
Speaker 2: You know it. It's that time of year. I'm big one three Hill guy. I'm a huge Buffalo Bills guy.
00:14:38
Speaker 4: I like Chad Michael Murray plus undefeated GMFB segment, Tyreek Hill says, I'm never celebrating with Odell again.
00:14:47
Speaker 2: Why every would you say that?
00:14:48
Speaker 4: More importantly, what's the one thing we're never doing again?
00:14:51
Speaker 2: And who is the coach in the.
00:14:53
Speaker 4: NFL who deserves much more recognition?
00:14:55
Speaker 2: Peter feels like Wheelhouse for you. Yeah, let's go. Let's get some underrated names some love. Who's the coach who deserves some shine? We're talking about it after this Good mornes football.
00:15:15
Speaker 3: What's happening, good people? It's Whitebard Wednesday time. Just a little after the first hour of GMFB on a Wednesday, we get out our whiteboards, our markers, our dry erasers, and we get a little creative. All right, here's the first topic for whiteboard Wednesday. The Bears, the Jets, and the Raiders and the Saints. My goodness, I don't want to keep going. They've all made major coaching moves this season to right the ship for a struggling team and to get a season perhaps back on track or just right some wrongs.
00:15:45
Speaker 2: If you will.
00:15:45
Speaker 3: But let's focus on the bright spots. All right, pick a coaching job that you have been most impressed by this season, Peter, in the flare of your Monday coach of the week, let's just expand it into a greater conversation.
00:15:58
Speaker 6: Yeah, we've done coach of the year talk, We've done coordinator of the year talk. It does any coach and who you've been impressed by. I'm going to go to LA and it's not my guy McVeigh and it's not the guy in the khakis.
00:16:09
Speaker 2: It's his defensive coordinator in Boltland. I'm going with Jesse Minter, the.
00:16:15
Speaker 6: Chargers defensive coordinator. If you're not familiar with Minter, he's the forty one year old first year defensive coordinator for the Chargers, and he comes with Jim Harbaugh from Ann Arbor, where he was a defensive coordinator last year on.
00:16:29
Speaker 2: A national title team.
00:16:30
Speaker 6: He gets to La and guys, the numbers have been outstanding.
00:16:34
Speaker 2: Through nine games, they have not given up more than twenty points in a game. It's just the.
00:16:39
Speaker 6: Fourth team in NFL history since nineteen ninety to boast that stat.
00:16:45
Speaker 2: Awesome.
00:16:45
Speaker 6: Their defensive course has Bosa and.
00:16:47
Speaker 2: Mac and Derwin James.
00:16:49
Speaker 6: But you look at these squads there on the list through each.
00:16:53
Speaker 2: Of the first nine games.
00:16:54
Speaker 6: The last forty years, teams to allow twenty or few points comes from.
00:16:58
Speaker 2: The college game.
00:16:59
Speaker 8: There were some raised dive Bross say, all right, Harbor is bringing his.
00:17:01
Speaker 6: College and we've seen Steve Spurger do the Saint Chip Kelly do this. We've seen Matt Ruver of this. It doesn't work. You got to hire NFL coaches. Minter has an NFL background. He was with the Ravens for many years. He also was at Vanderbilt forty one years old. We're now heading towards Thanksgivings, when the coaching buzz starts going off for head coaches. Looks like it might be one and done for this guy, Jesse Minter Chargers defensive coordinator quietly one of the best units in the league.
00:17:24
Speaker 8: All Right, I like that one. I'm going to go somewhere else. I'm going to go to Baltimore and I'm going to go with their quarterback coach Tem Martin. Now, Team Martin has done aldrs standing job.
00:17:36
Speaker 2: Now going back.
00:17:37
Speaker 8: Tem Martin won the National Championship when he was at the quarterback at the University of Tennessee. He then later went on to play for the Eagles and played for the Raiders. And what I love about this is that, you know, he has this cool, you know transformation. You got into quarterback coaching young kids, worked his way up, became the offensive coordinator at USC during Sam Darnold's year, where he became the first USC quarterback to throw for four thousand yards. Of course we remember, you know, Sam Darnold went on to be a highly selected quarterback. But the way he developed him in college and now he has been tasked with this incredible challenge of coaching a quarterback who's already good. Tem Martin, you know, there's one thing to take a young rookie and bring him up and show him the way and everybody kind of rises success. But what do you do when you have a quarterback who is seemingly like perfect. He has to coach him. And since Tim Martin has been the quarterback coach there, all the key indicators of measuring a quarterback has improved.
00:18:37
Speaker 2: For Lamar Jackson.
00:18:39
Speaker 8: We've seen him even take less sex. Why because he's going through his progressions. He's teaching him the difference and I think what it has to do is the ability to relate, but also his great mind as a quarterback. Lamar Jackson has been outstanding and I think he needs to get a lot of credit. I'll say this lastly. You know we've seen Chicago Bears get rid of their offensive coordinator. I think Tim Martin is going to be the next hot offensive coordinator in the NFL. Keep your eye out for tem Martin.
00:19:05
Speaker 5: NOP.
00:19:06
Speaker 4: I love Tem Martin. I can't think of t Martin without thinking a peerless price. All these years later, I love it. I love Jesse Minter. But guys, I don't have a creative answer. It's still Steve Spagnolo. It's I can't I have to say, Steve Spagnolo, do you understand guys? The Chiefs have not scored thirty points this season in regulation.
00:19:21
Speaker 2: Ever, they're undefeated.
00:19:23
Speaker 4: In four games they have not scored twenty five points. They're undefeated. Peter I love Jesse Mintry did a great seal job. Justin Herbert currently has the longest streak in the NFL of not throwing an interception. Patrick Mahomes is among the league leaders and interceptions. It doesn't matter. They're still undefeated. I'll tell you this. If the Chiefs win the Super Bowl this year, and they pull off the whole thing and they're up to the podium, the confetti's falling, I think it'd be really cool if Andy Reid stepped back and said, Spags, you go accept the Lombardi Trophy. Shades of Ving Raims giving his Golden Glove to Jack Lemon and saying, I refuse to accept this. Andy's won a bunch of them, maybe, and won a bunch more to be cool to say not this year, Steve Spagnolo come up and accept the Lombardi.
00:20:04
Speaker 2: It's still Spagnola. I love it.
00:20:06
Speaker 3: Kyle, I respect and appreciate it. But how dare anybody not say? Danny Smith final answer, we love the Steelers Special team Coach Jenna's but the best and the ultimate hype man on the sideline, which oftentimes is what somebody needs when they're going into a fight. Speaking of fight, Smike Tyson is set to square off against Jake Paul on Friday.
00:20:23
Speaker 2: Bear with me, because.
00:20:24
Speaker 3: I'm going to read this as if I know what I'm talking about. When it comes to boxing, we all remember growing up playing this one, and by this one, I mean a game from Glass Joe Desoda Poppinski to the legend himself. What is the most underappreciated sports video game? Peter will start with you help me.
00:20:45
Speaker 6: I love Coach Madden, I love the Madden franchise, and I could do a full show every day for three hours talking about my Madden memories. I also have memories for this random game, let's call Cyberball's on Sega Jennis, Let's go. If you know you know Cyberball was seven on seven. It was robots and you had four downs to convert first downs and the ball would go from fine, too hot to melting to explosion and there were robots playing and you would have the ball blow up. And it was on Sega Genesis, right before the PlayStation of Nintendo sixty four and as Madden and Joe Montana Sports Talk Football were dominating households. There was Mutant League Football, and there were Cyberballs, these other games that we would play. The crazy thing is, I'm looking up Cyberball. This great memory of it, Cyberball, which is all robots playing football and the ball explodes.
00:21:39
Speaker 2: Cyberball took place in the year twenty twenty two. That's great, So that's good. That takes me a little bit.
00:21:47
Speaker 4: It was really stressful and fourth down you didn't get the ball was explode.
00:21:51
Speaker 2: And I think we have to say this that Cyberball walked. So that Bill Lambier Combat Basketball. That's another great.
00:21:59
Speaker 4: Basketball basketball game in which Lambiert had was playing with like bombs and buzz saws and robots and like terminator suits.
00:22:06
Speaker 2: Is great back of the day.
00:22:07
Speaker 4: I actually think I might have had it on Sega CD.
00:22:14
Speaker 2: I'm gonna go I'm gonna go way back.
00:22:16
Speaker 8: I'm gonna go way back, but not that way back.
00:22:17
Speaker 2: I'm gonna go.
00:22:18
Speaker 8: Two thousand and four NFL Street on PlayStation. Please tell me you guys remember this one?
00:22:23
Speaker 2: Talk about us? Sure?
00:22:25
Speaker 8: Oh my goodness, had Ricky Williams on the cover. But this was one because it just felt like street ball growing up playing in the streets and throwing football. But it was the silly trash hawky. It was really corny too, like show me something you in the show now, like.
00:22:38
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, like that's my block, let's rock. I'm like what, Like nobody talks trash like that.
00:22:44
Speaker 8: But it was so fun just because you could pick the setting. You could play like in an alley, you could play behind some random office and you're just in street clothes looking at the different players and they were all built like bodybuilders. Like everybody was swow like super buff. It didn't matter if he was a skinny wide receiver. Everybody got they six back home. So yeah, I like the NFL street That was my game right there.
00:23:04
Speaker 4: Than oar. We've been at this for months now. I just got to set you at ease. You never have to say, do you guys remember this one?
00:23:12
Speaker 2: We always remember two of us.
00:23:15
Speaker 4: I promise you we got you. You don't have a net out there. We will always remember.
00:23:20
Speaker 2: There's no reference to deep akbar.
00:23:23
Speaker 1: We got your back.
00:23:25
Speaker 4: Trust fall Okay, no, no, they're not just fall.
00:23:29
Speaker 2: We'll catch you. We got you. Also, this one is a deep cut.
00:23:32
Speaker 4: Super Dodgeball is a fantastic, fantastic game. When you think dodgeball, you're thinking Ben Stiller and Ripped Torn dodging wrenches go way back before that. It's a very simple game in which you go around the world playing different countries, kind of like Street Fighter two Champions Edition, except you're not fighting. You're throwing dodgeball and each player has a super charge up like mega attack Dodgeball throw and you eliminate them and when you hit the player enough times, they turn into an angel and float into the sky and they're dead.
00:24:01
Speaker 2: I don't know what that was about.
00:24:02
Speaker 4: It as dramatic as hell though, And I used to go I didn't own Super Dodgeball. I used to go to the Blockbuster and rent Super Dodgeball. It's a great game, and this is my Dodgeball. You can have the movie and all that, the Vince Vaughn. I go old school with Super Dodgeball. Play it, get your hands on it, one of those mod things and play.
00:24:19
Speaker 5: It's great.
00:24:19
Speaker 3: Well, the renting versus the purchasing, I am with that. My mom used to think shut up was a swear word in our house, and the Barkley shut up and jam I used to rent it. Oh, never let me buy it. But that was like years later with Sega and Barkley shut jams so great, I know, all right, Tyrek Hill and Odell Beckham Junior, they had a tremendous celebration on Monday Nights.
00:24:41
Speaker 2: But he did have this.
00:24:42
Speaker 3: Tyreek Hill had this to say to our own Taylor Bushati about said celebration in the future of all after.
00:24:48
Speaker 11: The game were suchowns in this opening game?
00:24:50
Speaker 4: How did you want to get back in the end zone?
00:24:52
Speaker 2: It fell good? I said, Odell slam a backup man, you know that kind of hurt me. So I'll follow me win at the Platinas with Belle.
00:24:59
Speaker 3: All right, So that's Tyrek Hill tweets this out after the game. It was all well and good. However, you will never plan a celebration with Odell again because he slammed his back out. Yeah, let's not do that, guys. Maybe like the tea party, let's bring that again because that's like a gentle celebration. So they'll never celebrate a touchdown again, but we hope for more for them in the end zone for the Dolphins. Peter, what is something as a grown man, you will never do again.
00:25:23
Speaker 6: Yeah, I go back just a few weeks. Okbar was saying, we're going back to two thousand and four. My game was from nineteen ninety two. Halloween is where you could kind of let your freak flag fly.
00:25:32
Speaker 2: I guess where I showed up as Jerry Glanville. I didn't realize that I was going to have.
00:25:36
Speaker 6: A full costume in which it included these I'm good like, I'm good.
00:25:41
Speaker 2: I put these leather chaps on. I'm all right like I don't know. I assume some people need this to spice things up back in the house. I don't. I'm good. I'm good as it is. Sweatpants work for me.
00:25:52
Speaker 6: Maybe mess shorts, but like these, these were tight.
00:25:56
Speaker 2: They were difficult to get into.
00:25:58
Speaker 6: And I will tell you this, I felt differently, and not a good way. I was not a feeling of this. So to all the cowboys out there, to all the exotic animals, I'm gonna say.
00:26:07
Speaker 2: I was good one and done. Leather chaps.
00:26:09
Speaker 5: You know, I feel a little funky.
00:26:11
Speaker 2: I I was feeling funky. I don't need the other chaps to do that.
00:26:15
Speaker 8: It was spicy, man, I'm sure your wife enjoyed you in that.
00:26:19
Speaker 2: Well, we didn't go there. You went there. I didn't say that. I mean that's the way you looked at it.
00:26:24
Speaker 3: Shark barget out of this topic.
00:26:26
Speaker 2: All right, I will tell you. I'm gonna put it all right.
00:26:28
Speaker 8: I'm gonna tell you one thing I will never ever do again, and that is skydiving. I could not believe that I did this thing and thinking, oh, yeah, this is such a manly thing to do. It's a perfectly fine plane. It gets up into the air, and the time if they open up the window, I'm going, what are you doing. I'm the last dude out and I'm sitting there holding on like no God please, and I jump out like it was exhilarating. But I survived, and I will never ever get convinced to skydive again. So I'm out on skydiving. I will never do that again.
00:27:03
Speaker 5: Yeah.
00:27:03
Speaker 2: I could have lost my life.
00:27:04
Speaker 5: Yeah.
00:27:05
Speaker 4: I think I'm maybe going to get to that in my next life. I don't think it's happening at this point. Imagine imagine, if you will. All of us are family people. You have a free Saturday, there's nothing to do. You have your kids, you have your wife or husband. You can do anything or you can just do nothing. Can you imagine taking that free Saturday and choosing to do this hate ball. You're gonna drive out to the woods. You're gonna pay a bunch of money to just get the absolute but Jesus blasted out of you and go home with welts. I've done paintball. I hate paintball. I hate anything about it. I've seen these people.
00:27:38
Speaker 2: We went out to the.
00:27:39
Speaker 4: Woods years ago and we ran up against this other tribe or Pride or whatever the hell they're called.
00:27:44
Speaker 2: These people are.
00:27:46
Speaker 4: They have a non fetish like they think that they're in North Vietnam nineteen sixty nine. They drive out to the field, they're playing Fortunate Sun. They got war as hell on their helmets. They got a five thousand dollars gun that they bought against my stupid rented musket where I individually load each welts all over my body and I'm not this isn't like community service.
00:28:10
Speaker 2: I paid to do this for recreation. My eleven year old son.
00:28:14
Speaker 4: Can My son's turning eleven in a couple of weeks.
00:28:16
Speaker 2: I want to do paintball skirmish. I want to play skirmish. Not gonna mine. You are no fortunate son. No, there's something that's beautiful.
00:28:24
Speaker 4: They take all the pain and all the misery and all the work out of paintball and it's called.
00:28:28
Speaker 2: Laser tag and it's awesome.
00:28:30
Speaker 4: Then we'll do it all day, Calvin, I love you, But until then, can't do it, can't do it anything.
00:28:35
Speaker 2: I'm all with it. Welcome back to GMFB. I am Sherry Burris.
00:28:39
Speaker 12: Now we've already talked about what an incredible matchup we have on Thursday between the Eagles and Washington Commanders. Quarterback Jay and Daniels is a regular on Peter's weekly Fab Fi list. We're gonna see if he can make the cut later this week in the show. But either way, Daniels has been as advertised for Washington this season. Here's Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni on what he has seen so far from the rookie quarterback.
00:29:05
Speaker 9: He's playing really good football. It's very it's very obvious. I think you know everybody. Everybody can see that. You know, really good player, who's who's started off on fire. So we'll have it. We'll have a challenge here this week. But can't say enough good.
00:29:20
Speaker 5: Things about him.
00:29:22
Speaker 9: You know how he can, how he's going to the right place with the football being accurate, the things he can do with the when he does, you know, when things do break down. You have a lot of respect for him, and we'll have our hands full.
00:29:35
Speaker 2: It's an NFC East battle.
00:29:37
Speaker 12: We are looking forward to this weekend, the Eagles doing their Salute to Service, a campaign we're celebrating here all week and a month for NFL Network. Well, coming up, actor and card curing member of the Hills Mafia, Chad Michael Murray. He's joining the show next, so don't go anywhere.
00:30:09
Speaker 2: Good Morning Football Listen.
00:30:11
Speaker 3: I've hit the jackpot this week with introducing guests from films that I adore from a time not too long ago in my life. Our next guest on GMFB you know him from One Tree Hill, Freaky Friday, a Cinderella Story, just to name a few. He's got a new holiday movie coming out on Netflix on November twentieth. Let's play you the clip and then we'll introduce him. Mom, dad, Oh my god, Luke, what are you doing under there?
00:30:36
Speaker 2: You scared me? I scared you.
00:30:38
Speaker 3: Oh my god, you're naked?
00:30:40
Speaker 5: What? Okay? First of all, I'm not baking. Oh right, my shirt was dry. And second ball, I'm only down there because someone broke.
00:30:49
Speaker 7: The faucet allegedly and it was broken already.
00:30:54
Speaker 5: Fair might give me a hand, only if I can get it back.
00:31:00
Speaker 3: Waity, look at that skill's Jack Michael Orry, thank you, thank you, thank you. Okay, jeah one. That could draw some assumptions about what Mary gentlemen might be about. But why don't you tell us so we make sure not we know what we're getting into on Netflix on November twentieth.
00:31:21
Speaker 11: Yeah, Holiday film as you can see small towns as it would be. There's kind of a it's called the Rhythm Room. They do small acts, and it's failing daughter who's basically what you would consider a rocket, comes home, helps her parents give this place a second chance, and she decides to introduce a male review. In other words, strippers, male strippers.
00:31:45
Speaker 5: Lady gentlemen. All right, let's go. It's the first thing you think of when you think Christmas movie. You're like dude strippers obviously, Okay.
00:31:52
Speaker 8: Well, you know, let's talk about the dance things. I mean, because those moves were very magic, Mike Ish, I mean, what was the inspiration and did it come naturally or did you have to kind of like, you know, kind of work the choreography, get the hips loose, like workersto Is.
00:32:08
Speaker 5: I had to bring out the magic Chad Michael. So yeah, it was.
00:32:13
Speaker 11: You know, it's funny like I'm not, by any means professionally trained.
00:32:17
Speaker 5: I've never done any choreography.
00:32:19
Speaker 11: I'm more of a at home and at a wedding answer.
00:32:23
Speaker 5: So it was. It was absolutely terrifying, and so I just dove in. I dove in. I say, guys, let you go.
00:32:30
Speaker 11: It was, you know, three four sessions a week, six hours a day, while a lot of different styles.
00:32:36
Speaker 5: In the film.
00:32:36
Speaker 11: So we do a little hip hop, little jazz, little country western.
00:32:40
Speaker 5: So you just kind of pick it up and go.
00:32:42
Speaker 2: You know, we're entering the Netflix world.
00:32:44
Speaker 6: With the NFL now having two games on Christmas, you guys are now entering it seems like this used to be the lifetime, the hallmark, the occident. Now Netflix is like, no, we're going and we're doing it too. What's it been like to kind of spread your wings and do the rom com in the around the holidays? And I assume it's a rom com because I'm already laughing at some of the scenes and the dialogue in there.
00:33:04
Speaker 2: Well, I know there's a lot of romance as well.
00:33:07
Speaker 5: Oh you can't. Yeah, I can't leave home with other romance. Come on, what are we doing?
00:33:11
Speaker 11: Look, it's just so good for the world, right, There's so much heavy and weighted content out there, and it's nice to have a departure.
00:33:20
Speaker 5: It's just nice to have that departure.
00:33:21
Speaker 11: And especially during the holiday season when people are worried about ABCD, it's nice to be able to click something on, turn off and enjoy the ride. And trust me, you can click this one on, have it on the background and not feel like you're being judged.
00:33:35
Speaker 2: I mean, listen, dud, never mind being judged. I'm taking notes.
00:33:38
Speaker 5: I wrote this down.
00:33:39
Speaker 2: Hold the faucets straight while I tightened the connector Now.
00:33:43
Speaker 4: Come on, chat, we need some of this in our lives. And I'm way into it, dude, I wrote it down.
00:33:50
Speaker 5: You want to know what else is hot?
00:33:51
Speaker 9: Chat?
00:33:52
Speaker 5: You know what else is just sex?
00:33:54
Speaker 2: Yes?
00:33:54
Speaker 5: Go ahead, give me something. Go I'm listening.
00:33:57
Speaker 11: Yeah, Look, Kyle, here's here's here's the here's the trick. When in doubt, just body roll, all right, just just got a body This is what the men taught me when we were trying to get a little behind it, and.
00:34:08
Speaker 5: I had to learn.
00:34:09
Speaker 11: So you get up, you just do a little body roll and you'll be all right. That's how we do these.
00:34:13
Speaker 2: You keep saying body roll, I don't know what that means. What is body roll? Stand up?
00:34:18
Speaker 11: I'll probably be out of frame, but I know I know somebody, you know, you got a body roll?
00:34:24
Speaker 3: Okay, everybody's everybody's doing great.
00:34:32
Speaker 2: Yes, you're not doing the body roll. Get in there, the body by the female lead.
00:34:37
Speaker 3: I'm saying, everybody's doing great.
00:34:40
Speaker 2: Chad.
00:34:41
Speaker 4: There's nothing that I can say sexier than this. As a Bills fan, dude, it's Chiefs week. It is Chiefs week that World champs are coming to Western New York. We got Josh, we got my homes. That's everything. How are you feeling right now? Is a diehard Bills fan?
00:34:56
Speaker 5: I feel good. I feel really good. I love what they're doing.
00:34:59
Speaker 11: Their playing as a team, and that's what I love to see. There's no selfish playing out there. You know, everybody's showing up doing their job. I think coaching has been the best it's been so far in the regime, like everybody is just on it and they have a goal twenty seven twenty four Buffalo.
00:35:16
Speaker 2: All right, we got to score good first loss?
00:35:19
Speaker 5: Okay, all right, Yeah it's at home. Bill's Mafia's showing up.
00:35:24
Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go.
00:35:25
Speaker 5: It's awesome.
00:35:25
Speaker 8: I like that You're not just one of these fairweather all right.
00:35:28
Speaker 2: I'm from Western New York, goes hard.
00:35:30
Speaker 6: You're real and you were born and raised in Buffalo and you grew up with it. But you're also currently working on a project involving the Bills Mafia and Andre Reid is involved. Can you tell us more in the football audience kind of what you're up to.
00:35:43
Speaker 11: Yeah, so look, anyone who's born and raised in Buffalo. No, it's a birthright like this, this is life. You're born into it. You come out of the womb and it's you're wearing the red, white and blue. And so I spent many a Sunday living and dying for a lot of years, dying seventeen years to be Yeah, but it doesn't matter. I remember I was shooting One Tree Hill and they would set up cause we always filmed on Sundays to do our basketball sequences, and they had my trailer had satellite so I could always run out watch the Bills.
00:36:11
Speaker 5: In between shots. It's a big thing for me.
00:36:14
Speaker 11: So right now I've gotten together with Kevin Powleay and Addison and Andre great team at Buffalo, and what we want to do is just bring light to what the Bill's Mafia is like. If there was a bucket list of things is a sports fan that you need to do, like literally, this is the bucket list before you die, go party with the mafia at a tailgate.
00:36:32
Speaker 2: You have to.
00:36:33
Speaker 11: It is top ten, without a doubt. And so we want to bring light. You know, there's a lot of deep stories. I remember, pre pandemic, I was shooting something with the Bills Mafia and I was interviewing a lot of the fans and I was taking a shot out of a sixteen pound bowling ball.
00:36:47
Speaker 5: Didn't losing a teeth. Meet Dennel Insurance for that one. Had some bacon off a raak.
00:36:52
Speaker 11: I covered that man right there, ketchup and mustard in a white throat.
00:36:56
Speaker 5: Yep.
00:36:57
Speaker 11: Yeah, it's the life and it's part of it's just part of the vibe. It's part of the energy in Buffalo, and it's it's electric and you gotta do.
00:37:06
Speaker 3: It, all right, Chad, I have an idea. This is like along the lines of Married Gentlemen and all the films that you've been in, because I'm starting to track like the rom com but also the football love that you have. So what if there is a Bill's Mafia holiday movie made in which there was a girl that worked at her dad's like table store, for example, and then this guy comes in and he hasks, like buy tables for the tailgate, but this one kind of quality, well, you can't smash through it. And then they got to fall in love and then they have their own table shop and like the Bills with the super Bowl at the end, Like this feels like something that maybe you should jump into and there should be a show that you cast and we talk about it.
00:37:45
Speaker 2: For the movie.
00:37:45
Speaker 5: All right, Jamie, you're gonna sign yourself up. You're coming. You're doing a cameo. We need to jump back tables with us.
00:37:52
Speaker 11: You know, I know Kyle's done, and I know Kyle's been out there, so now you.
00:37:55
Speaker 5: Got to come. You gotta come jump through a table and we'll get you doing it.
00:37:58
Speaker 8: Chad, I actually want to jump to it. I've never done that before. It feels very ww ish. But maybe I'll come out and join you and I'll get on top of a car and we'll just maybe we'll just do it together, man, just because.
00:38:13
Speaker 11: Come down, I'm in and if we don't do this, I might actually be upset.
00:38:17
Speaker 5: Gonna hold, I'm gonna hold.
00:38:19
Speaker 8: We'll make it happen. I've got good insurance, I think, so we'll make it happen real quick. Bill's making it to the Super Bowl.
00:38:25
Speaker 5: Gosh, that's a big question. I know.
00:38:27
Speaker 11: Every time I've ever made that prediction, I've been wrong because they went to four. But I was ten, eleven, twelve, and thirteen years old at the time. I feel I feel really good about where the team's at and I don't want to make a prediction. I don't want to do it because I just want to see them continue to play good team football all all all phases of the game.
00:38:49
Speaker 5: Everybody's crushing. I want to see it.
00:38:51
Speaker 11: But I think Bass makes up for it this weekend for last year's playoff loss.
00:38:54
Speaker 3: I think, yes, kickers are in. Let's go, chad Man. We appreciate you.
00:39:01
Speaker 2: So much.
00:39:04
Speaker 5: Before Murray, I like it.
00:39:06
Speaker 3: We locked it in. Listen it's wonderful that your film is coming out on November twentieth. Emotionally, you can get the premiere out of the way of the Merry Gentleman. It's next Wednesday, and then you can really commit down the stretch for the bills in the long run. I'm sure that you hope that they make Chad Michael Murray. Everybody coming on gmf B. I'm teaching the gentleman on the show what's really important in life, which is the body roll.
00:39:28
Speaker 8: Okay, you're doing a shoulder roll.
00:39:32
Speaker 2: That's a shoulder roll. We're doing a jelly roll.
00:39:35
Speaker 5: O
