BU BÖLÜM HAKKINDA
⚠️ This episode includes descriptions of medieval execution and violence.
He had no title, no crown and no army of his own. He ended up ruling Scotland.
In this episode of Voices Through History, Anlie Hatting interviews William Wallace: the unknown knight who refused to kneel to Edward I, rose with Andrew Moray at Stirling Bridge, and became Guardian of Scotland. Wallace talks through the uprising, the victory won on a narrow bridge, and the defeat at Falkirk that cost him everything he had built.
He also answers the questions history still argues over. Did Marion Braidfute exist? Who betrayed him? And what did he say to the court that condemned him for treason, when he was never Edward's subject?
He survived England's whole army. He did not survive one fellow Scot with a price in mind.
