BU BÖLÜM HAKKINDA
Jeffrey Lee has spent more than two decades on Alabama’s death row for the murders of Jimmy Ellis and Elaine Thompson — a crime he confessed to, but a sentence that even his jury didn’t choose. Born into deep poverty and raised in chaos, Jeffrey’s early life was shaped by drug and alcohol addiction, violence, and instability long before he ever entered a courtroom. In prison, he became someone entirely different: a mentor, a Kairos leader in a faith based Christian prison program, and a man consistently described as calm, disciplined, and peaceful.
Today, September 17, the State of Alabama plans to execute him. This episode traces Jeffrey’s childhood, the crime, the trial, and the judicial override that sealed his fate. It also confronts the man he became behind bars — disciplined, spiritual, and transformed. In the final moments, one question remains: was this justice… or the system’s final word?
