with Host Karen D. WoodCelebrating all our episodesThe inside of the brain is designed to detect rattlesnakes. And sometimes in trauma, we've reset what the rattlesnake actually is in our brain, and it actually becomes the little things. And the rattlesnake's a good analogy because the little rattlesnake has a lot of venom in it, a lot. So if we can learn to pay attention to the little things and keep them little, using our body and our breathing and our pictures, then the hippocampus actually heals over time to not register that as danger. says we can heal the pathways in the brain to get that amygdala to talk to the frontal lobe faster to view the bigger picture of how I'm going to be able to handle that.#podcastlair #podcast #traumainformed #brainhealth #news #empoweredparents #fresnocalifornia #healingjourney
