You can believe in spirit and still feel shattered by loss, and that tension sits at the heart of our conversation with Isabella Johnson. She’s a certified evidential medium, medical intuitive, grief therapist, and remote viewer, and she brings a rare mix of spiritual sensitivity and grounded honesty to what people in grief actually need: compassion, credibility, and a little more room to breathe.
Isabella shares what it was like seeing people in spirit from early childhood, including the fear and sleepless nights that came with not having language or guidance. We talk about how her work evolved from early readings into a lifelong practice shaped by psychology, ethics, and a deep respect for evidence. She explains why she leans toward personality, nuance, and relationship repair instead of chasing names and dates, and why that approach can feel more validating for the people sitting in front of her.
The conversation also goes where many avoid: how the loss of her daughter changed everything, how grief can make old belief systems feel too small, and why she encourages people to question, search, and even be angry without shame. We explore myths about spirit “not being around,” what signs can look like, and why mediums don’t get to bypass human emotion just because they can connect. We even touch on pet loss and the fierce love people feel for animals that continue on.
If you’re looking for grief support, spiritual healing, mediumship with integrity, or simply a stronger sense of hope, this one stays with you. Subscribe, share this with someone who needs a steadier breath today, and leave a review so more listeners can find the conversation.

00:00:02.319 --> 00:00:04.719
Welcome to Soul Sisteries.
00:00:09.039 --> 00:00:22.320
We just had an amazing discussion with Isabella Johnson, an evidential medium who has just shared a little bit of her life's journey and uh and you know, finding hope in this world.
00:00:22.399 --> 00:00:29.199
And I just am really excited that we had this opportunity to talk with her ourselves and to share with you all.
00:00:29.519 --> 00:00:33.520
What a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful person, a beautiful soul.
00:00:40.560 --> 00:00:42.240
Hey everyone, welcome.
00:00:42.320 --> 00:00:49.600
We're so excited to be talking with Isabella Johnson, a dedicated provider of healing and comfort.
00:00:49.759 --> 00:00:58.240
Isabella integrates her roles as a certified evidential medium, medical intuitive, grief therapist, and remote viewer.
00:00:58.719 --> 00:01:08.879
Her gift lies in achieving therapeutic depth with those in spirit, providing transformational answers and understanding for relationships where questions linger.
00:01:09.439 --> 00:01:23.680
Isabella sees the soul, the highest point in our physical body, and uses this insight to remind clients of their true purpose in this lifetime, approaching every session with profound compassion and empathy.
00:01:23.920 --> 00:01:31.439
And as a client of Isabella's, I can attest that every bit of this is true and she's amazing.
00:01:31.519 --> 00:01:36.640
And we are beyond delighted to welcome Isabella to Soul Sisteries today.
00:01:37.599 --> 00:01:38.400
Thank you so much.
00:01:38.640 --> 00:01:40.079
Thank you so much for having me.
00:01:40.159 --> 00:01:41.040
I'm honored.
00:01:41.200 --> 00:01:42.959
It's absolutely an honor to be here.
00:01:43.040 --> 00:01:43.680
Thank you.
00:01:44.319 --> 00:01:45.760
So excited to have you with us.
00:01:46.480 --> 00:01:47.840
Bless your heart for sure.
00:01:48.159 --> 00:01:48.799
For sure.
00:01:49.040 --> 00:01:53.680
So, Isabella, we asked you here for a variety of reasons.
00:01:53.840 --> 00:01:57.680
One, we both think you're amazing, and that's uncontested.
00:01:57.840 --> 00:01:58.719
Of course, you are.
00:01:58.879 --> 00:02:01.680
And you're just lovely, bright energy.
00:02:02.079 --> 00:02:08.719
We're also just, you know, super interested in your story and what brings you to where you are today.
00:02:08.800 --> 00:02:15.840
I mean, this is not the path where you know little girls dream of being ballerinas or mediums like this.
00:02:18.479 --> 00:02:19.360
What happens?
00:02:19.520 --> 00:02:22.479
What is it that that brought you here?
00:02:22.800 --> 00:02:24.240
Have you always felt this calling?
00:02:24.639 --> 00:02:25.599
Clue us in a little bit.
00:02:26.240 --> 00:02:26.560
Sure.
00:02:26.719 --> 00:02:44.159
So um I have the unique ability, which I don't think I there are lots of mediums and lots of great mediums, but I think what kind of puts me in a little different space with that is that all of my life, from my earliest memory to today, I have always seen people in spirit outside of myself.
00:02:44.319 --> 00:02:53.360
Now, let me just say this that could be very frightening as a little child, not knowing why you're looking around, and there's five or six people in the room with you that you don't know.
00:02:53.599 --> 00:02:58.240
Um, so for me, but for me, this has kind of just been a normal progression.
00:02:58.400 --> 00:03:03.360
Uh, I started doing readings professionally, like right around the age of 17.
00:03:03.439 --> 00:03:07.520
So it's been a long time that I've been doing this.
00:03:07.759 --> 00:03:11.280
Um not regularly at that age.
00:03:11.439 --> 00:03:16.719
I think I really regularly started seeing clients as a profession in my early 20s.
00:03:16.879 --> 00:03:23.520
Um, thought I was going to be a psychologist, gotten a PhD program, and then just decided, oh, maybe this is not for me.
00:03:23.680 --> 00:03:34.319
So I really then at that point dedicated my life to just helping people connect with their loved ones and giving evidence and proof that we continue and go on.
00:03:34.479 --> 00:03:44.159
And it became more of a spiritual purpose and drive when I lost my daughter, when my daughter transitioned at the age of seven.
00:03:44.319 --> 00:03:49.520
So for me, everything I had believed in before really evaporated.
00:03:49.919 --> 00:03:53.759
My understanding of, you know, continuation of life.
00:03:53.840 --> 00:03:59.039
I knew that that still existed, but it became a much more personal search at that point.
00:03:59.280 --> 00:04:16.319
So I really just decided, and and prayerfully so I just asking God if you can help me survive this, anything I can do moving forward to help, particularly parents or anyone struggling with that intense grief, I I will do this till more.
00:04:17.040 --> 00:04:23.439
And I know that that is, I believe very firmly that that is why I am doing what I do today.
00:04:23.600 --> 00:04:26.959
Um, so yeah, in a nutshell, that's kind of it.
00:04:27.120 --> 00:04:28.240
I I love what I do.
00:04:28.319 --> 00:04:32.800
I can't imagine anything else to be more fulfilling to me personally.
00:04:32.959 --> 00:04:37.839
Um, I try to bring, with my background in psychology, a therapeutic approach to this.
00:04:37.920 --> 00:04:41.680
And I kind of skip over the names and dates.
00:04:41.839 --> 00:04:46.000
Those seem less important to me, or, you know, I mean, they're absolutely tangible proof.
00:04:46.079 --> 00:04:50.720
But for me, I like the depth of personality, very nuanced and relationships.
00:04:50.879 --> 00:04:58.959
And I have found that we all have regrets, whether we're here or in spirit, and we kind of like to take ownership of where we could have done better.
00:04:59.199 --> 00:05:13.759
So I try to focus on that aspect in a reading after obviously giving proof and evidence of really being very comfortable going very deep with a client and obviously the people in spirit who show up to have those conversations.
00:05:14.000 --> 00:05:17.519
So we continue on, relationships continue on.
00:05:17.680 --> 00:05:19.120
There is no end point.
00:05:19.600 --> 00:05:23.600
And I think that's why I love what I do.
00:05:24.560 --> 00:05:25.920
Sorry, that was a bit long.
00:05:26.079 --> 00:05:27.040
That was a bit wordy.
00:05:27.759 --> 00:05:28.720
No, not at all.
00:05:29.040 --> 00:05:30.879
Not at all, and and so beautiful.
00:05:30.959 --> 00:05:56.639
And I I I don't know if you know Isabelle, but my background is clinical, so I am a therapist and kind of did that for years, and then after my own loss, um started to realize like there's this whole other piece that is so valuable in healing and provided so much more healing than and nothing uh you know against therapy because I still 100% support it.
00:05:56.800 --> 00:06:03.680
But there's this other piece of just knowing that your loved one is still here and that you can still connect.
00:06:03.920 --> 00:06:06.000
That I think changed my world.
00:06:06.399 --> 00:06:06.639
Right.
00:06:06.879 --> 00:06:08.240
It it eases it a bit.
00:06:08.319 --> 00:06:11.120
It's not uh panacea for everything.
00:06:11.199 --> 00:06:19.600
And you know, I think people have fairly good results for several weeks, maybe a couple of months after reading, but it it doesn't erase grief.
00:06:19.680 --> 00:06:22.399
And I think that's a very normal and healthy process.
00:06:22.560 --> 00:06:36.000
It's it it it grief defines us, and that these very substantial losses are transformative, whether we use that for positive or something that kind of lingers on.
00:06:36.160 --> 00:06:44.560
So I go into the with that mindset that I I hope to just provide evidence and proof that the continuation of relationships goes on.
00:06:44.639 --> 00:06:58.639
And then really my focus is on supporting the physical client that is before me and um knowing or just intuitively feeling what is the best, how I'm not going to deny that.
00:06:58.800 --> 00:07:00.800
It it does help.
00:07:01.040 --> 00:07:04.079
Um, but I I have had significant losses.
00:07:04.160 --> 00:07:07.439
I have a child in spirit, a husband in spirit, about like all of these things.
00:07:07.600 --> 00:07:22.319
So I've taken my pain and my losses, and it's created a depth and a well of empathy and understanding for most of my clients that honestly I didn't possess these things at 17 or 21 or 25 or even 30, you know.
00:07:22.560 --> 00:07:34.720
So it as I have aged and gone through these transitions in life, I I try to let no loss go wasted.
00:07:34.879 --> 00:07:43.839
I I really try to use that in an orb in a way to empathize and help others in my same shoes that I found myself in.
00:07:44.240 --> 00:07:45.839
That's incredibly beautiful.
00:07:46.079 --> 00:08:09.199
So so when you were young though, and I wonder because I I identified with your story and so much of what you're saying, when you were younger, and you talked a little bit about it being fearful, some some of this, what what in your world helped you to step away from that fear, to accept it, to dig deeper?
00:08:09.439 --> 00:08:11.120
What like was there anybody?
00:08:11.279 --> 00:08:13.600
Was there what what happened for you?
00:08:14.560 --> 00:08:22.079
In in ways that maybe could have uh well, I think we all do the best in any situation that we're in.
00:08:22.160 --> 00:08:23.120
So there's no fault.
00:08:23.199 --> 00:08:26.240
But my mom had uh some ability.
00:08:26.480 --> 00:08:32.000
Her mother, who actually today is her uh anniversary of her transition, it's been one year.
00:08:32.080 --> 00:08:34.559
She was 103 years old, she was my person.
00:08:34.960 --> 00:08:41.279
She was just, or she is still just an amazing um resource for me.
00:08:41.440 --> 00:08:44.559
So she was much like myself, could see people in spirit.
00:08:44.720 --> 00:08:56.480
So uh fear is is a good word to use, but um not really having the language and understanding what they wanted from me, how I could best assist them.
00:08:56.559 --> 00:09:04.639
And and sleep was tenuous at best and fleeting always, because I found that during the daytime I could mostly distract myself.
00:09:04.879 --> 00:09:13.200
They'd show up, I could, you know, ignore or or try my best to placate them or um dissociate in some way.
00:09:13.759 --> 00:09:16.639
But at night that became really challenging.
00:09:16.799 --> 00:09:24.879
So I, you know, I remember sleeping with blankets over my head for from about six to 14 years old, just being so fearful.
00:09:25.120 --> 00:09:27.120
Um, never was there harm.
00:09:27.200 --> 00:09:34.000
I I don't want anyone to be, you know, alarmed that there was anything nefarious going on at any point of this.
00:09:34.240 --> 00:09:41.039
Um, but that I I think it was just really a lot of self-navigation uh of what this should look like.
00:09:41.279 --> 00:09:49.200
And I'm grateful for that because now when I have a client that might have a child that's experiencing some of these things, I just rush.
00:09:49.440 --> 00:09:50.240
What can I do?
00:09:50.399 --> 00:10:00.639
Here's how you can empower them, and here's some help or answers, or here's some things you might try to let them know how to better navigate this, certainly better than I did.
00:10:00.879 --> 00:10:11.759
Like I said, uh all of the things that have been challenging in my life, I I really tried to look at them with the positive inflection that okay, this is there for a reason, and how can I use this to help other people?
00:10:12.159 --> 00:10:17.759
When we're going through any kind of crisis or difficult time, it feels very isolating and lonely.
00:10:18.000 --> 00:10:24.240
So I just try to, even as a child, bringing that into I remember what that was like for me.
00:10:24.559 --> 00:10:28.159
Could this possibly be what you're experiencing as well, too?
00:10:28.320 --> 00:10:31.120
So I love working with children and helping them.
00:10:31.200 --> 00:10:35.679
And it's very short that that I will do that, you know, like a minute for a year.
00:10:35.759 --> 00:10:47.200
It's no longer 15 or 20 minutes spending with them, but it makes them feel more in control of the situation, I think, or or that they have some decision-making power.
00:10:47.360 --> 00:10:55.919
But really, I had the best that my mom could do, which was um kudos to her, uh, and then my grandmother, really.
00:10:56.080 --> 00:11:04.320
And I I do have one of my sons has ability as well too, and and it he is not someone that enjoys that aspect of himself.
00:11:04.399 --> 00:11:09.919
So just being that steady person there for him, I think is helpful as well, too.
00:11:10.320 --> 00:11:11.519
Do you think, thank you?
00:11:11.679 --> 00:11:25.200
Do you do you think your own profound loss of your daughter is part of the what has compelled you to embrace this work so fully?
00:11:26.320 --> 00:11:26.960
Absolutely.
00:11:27.120 --> 00:11:29.360
I think that is a huge component of it.
00:11:29.519 --> 00:11:34.720
I mean, I became incredibly Gnostic during the first couple years of her transition.
00:11:34.879 --> 00:11:47.200
I would search everything and I had a very um, listen, I'm Catholic and my faith is important to me, but I found that the perimeters of that no longer fit uh what my grief encompassed.
00:11:47.279 --> 00:11:49.279
Like it was too small of a box.
00:11:49.440 --> 00:11:58.639
So that grew, and um I began to really just be comfortable with not knowing a lot of the answers.
00:11:58.879 --> 00:12:09.120
And I have very little dogma in my life today, whereas before her transition, oh, incredible amount of factual dogma, and uh, you know, there were no derivative in any way.
00:12:09.200 --> 00:12:14.879
And and now I'm so grateful that that is no longer my experience.
00:12:14.960 --> 00:12:19.120
I question everything, and I hope that that continues always.
00:12:19.279 --> 00:12:22.559
Uh I hope to never become stagnant in any of that.
00:12:22.720 --> 00:12:31.039
And I encourage people search, ask questions, be angry, yell, scream, discard your belief system, embrace another one, or or find none.
00:12:31.360 --> 00:12:41.919
This is the thing about grief is when you're in it, it feels stagnant and forever and overwhelming, and like we will never breeze through it.
00:12:42.159 --> 00:12:48.159
And unfortunately, unfortunately, nothing lasts forever, as we know from the significant loss.
00:12:48.399 --> 00:12:50.080
We just don't maintain that.
00:12:50.320 --> 00:12:54.799
So, yeah, um it propelled me to ask questions.
00:12:54.879 --> 00:12:56.559
So I encourage others to do that.
00:12:56.639 --> 00:13:03.679
And I can't walk this path for you, but I can kind of fold your hand and help you navigate some of the pitfalls that I encountered.
00:13:03.759 --> 00:13:07.279
And and that's what I try to do, particularly with parents.
00:13:07.600 --> 00:13:07.919
Yeah.
00:13:08.879 --> 00:13:14.320
I I just want to say that I appreciate you being here on the anniversary of your loss of your grandma.
00:13:15.120 --> 00:13:17.360
And I'm sure she's right here with us.
00:13:17.600 --> 00:13:22.559
I I'm curious because you have been a medium forever, right?
00:13:22.639 --> 00:13:23.360
Since a child.
00:13:23.440 --> 00:13:26.320
And then you had the loss of your daughter, the loss of your partner.
00:13:26.879 --> 00:13:38.399
And I'm wondering if, because I I always wonder this with mediums, if your connection with them is as strong as your connection with our loved ones when you do reading something.
00:13:39.360 --> 00:13:41.039
No, because I'm incredibly skeptical.
00:13:41.200 --> 00:13:47.440
I to me, disability, although I have my faith, it is not connected to my faith or spirituality at all.
00:13:47.600 --> 00:13:49.840
To me, uh, it is very neurodivergent.
00:13:49.919 --> 00:13:54.080
I just feel like I'm a wide open receiver, whether I attempt to or not.
00:13:54.240 --> 00:14:04.240
I now live in a very isolated part of Arkansas, no neighbors around, several hundred acres of woods, and I find that very comforting because I'm feeling what everyone else is feeling.
00:14:04.320 --> 00:14:05.679
I'm hearing what everyone else.
00:14:06.080 --> 00:14:09.360
It is an ability that I cannot shut off.
00:14:09.519 --> 00:14:12.240
And at this point in my life, at almost 60, like that's fine.
00:14:12.320 --> 00:14:15.360
It would be unusual if if that were to go away.
00:14:15.679 --> 00:14:26.799
But um it it it just very hard to describe what this experience is has been like.
00:14:26.960 --> 00:14:30.320
And again, it just feels so innate to who I am.
00:14:30.480 --> 00:14:31.600
Why are my eyes blue?
00:14:31.759 --> 00:14:32.240
I don't know.
00:14:32.320 --> 00:14:33.600
I was just born this way.
00:14:33.840 --> 00:14:36.799
Why this this is who I am.
00:14:36.879 --> 00:14:48.639
So I've tried to embrace it and um become comfortable with the not knowing um answers and with my connection with my loved ones.
00:14:48.720 --> 00:14:53.519
This is why I have an assistant because I I don't want to know anything about you prior to the reading.
00:14:53.679 --> 00:14:57.120
I I am the biggest skeptic of this, and which is weird.
00:14:57.200 --> 00:14:58.720
It is such a dichotomy.
00:14:58.879 --> 00:15:06.080
I need the evidence of seeing, okay, your mom, your dad, your child, your husband, wife, what have you is still there.
00:15:06.320 --> 00:15:10.399
So that gives me faith and hope and confidence that mine are as well too.
00:15:10.559 --> 00:15:24.480
Now, certainly I've had my experiences and I've had my connections with my loved ones, I think no different than most of us, but the continuity of that has not been increased simply because I, you know, see people in spirit.
00:15:24.559 --> 00:15:27.360
That that is not my experience at all.
00:15:27.679 --> 00:15:32.960
I I I think that's so important because I uh, you know, a lot of people say, Well, why can't you do that?
00:15:33.120 --> 00:15:38.879
Why can't you just, you know, have this in real-time discussion with your husband, with your child?
00:15:39.120 --> 00:15:41.679
And we do always question, right?
00:15:41.759 --> 00:15:43.440
Well, is that just my imagination?
00:15:44.480 --> 00:15:44.799
Yeah.
00:15:45.919 --> 00:15:48.720
The same as you, the same as you and any other client.
00:15:48.799 --> 00:15:51.120
I mean, we just kind of need validation for those things.
00:15:51.279 --> 00:15:52.399
And I've never had a reading.
00:15:52.480 --> 00:15:54.960
I've just I've never had one from anybody.
00:15:55.120 --> 00:16:02.159
Um, it's not something I feel ever drawn to do because I know in my soul that my loved ones are okay.
00:16:02.399 --> 00:16:03.440
I just miss them.
00:16:03.600 --> 00:16:08.480
I miss those interactions, I miss the physicality, just like everyone else does.
00:16:08.639 --> 00:16:13.600
I do not get to bypass any human emotions just because I see people in spirit.
00:16:13.759 --> 00:16:16.480
That is a fallacy of the highest degree.
00:16:16.720 --> 00:16:17.759
Doesn't happen.
00:16:18.000 --> 00:16:20.720
But, you know, I I have comfort that I know they're okay.
00:16:20.879 --> 00:16:24.879
I there are some people in spirit that I am able to have a stronger connection with.
00:16:25.200 --> 00:16:26.399
But is it constant?
00:16:26.639 --> 00:16:27.919
No, it's not.
00:16:28.000 --> 00:16:30.000
And I think that's valuable.
00:16:31.120 --> 00:16:37.360
Do you think I wonder just because obviously you were born with this, and it is a profound gift.
00:16:37.519 --> 00:16:41.120
You are very, very good, very, very connected.
00:16:41.440 --> 00:16:54.080
Um, do you believe that really everyone and anyone can make connections, that everyone has some degree or can build the ability?
00:16:54.240 --> 00:16:55.600
What are your thoughts on that?
00:16:55.919 --> 00:16:57.840
I am absolutely the wrong person to ask.
00:16:58.000 --> 00:17:02.879
I mean, I've been as people have asked me when you teach a class, and and I would have no idea how to do that.
00:17:03.120 --> 00:17:14.720
I think maybe not so much everyone of us in a body has the ability to do this, but I can promise you everyone in spirit has the ability to send us signs to bring those connections.
00:17:14.880 --> 00:17:16.799
So is it innate in all of us?
00:17:16.960 --> 00:17:18.559
Can it be improved on?
00:17:18.880 --> 00:17:31.039
Possibly, but definitely everyone in spirit does their darndest to let us know that they are okay and to build that bridge when sometimes it feels like we're incapable of doing that.
00:17:31.200 --> 00:17:37.440
So I don't know, I I honestly I I never want to overpromise anything.
00:17:37.519 --> 00:17:40.400
I think there are courses and classes that are helpful.
00:17:40.559 --> 00:17:42.640
Um, I love the Monroe Institute.
00:17:42.720 --> 00:17:44.160
I love the Triad Mind.
00:17:44.319 --> 00:17:48.000
Those are amazing organizations, they're very science-backed based.
00:17:48.160 --> 00:17:52.400
And I think if anything can open you up, those would be two that would do it.
00:17:53.119 --> 00:17:55.359
But that that's the extent of my knowledge.
00:17:55.440 --> 00:18:04.000
I just I wouldn't want to say you you mentioned how amazing spirit is, right?
00:18:04.079 --> 00:18:05.440
And they all can come through, right?
00:18:05.759 --> 00:18:07.519
They all offer some signs.
00:18:07.839 --> 00:18:22.319
So sometimes we hear mediums or or people who have had a reading say something like, Oh, well, they said my loved one's not around, or my loved one is too busy right now, or you know, my loved one is not, you know, ready to talk with me yet.
00:18:22.480 --> 00:18:25.759
What do you think about that when you you hear that about spirit?
00:18:25.839 --> 00:18:27.359
Do you find the same the same thing?
00:18:27.599 --> 00:18:28.000
I do not.
00:18:28.079 --> 00:18:29.759
I I don't find that to be true.
00:18:29.920 --> 00:18:36.000
Um, I I just think maybe some mediums are more tuned in than others.
00:18:36.240 --> 00:18:45.839
I uh again, I don't want to casicate or point fingers and I that that would never be my intention because we all have different gifts and abilities and things that we're good at.
00:18:46.160 --> 00:18:51.279
I just for me, I'm I know that they show up for you.
00:18:51.440 --> 00:18:53.680
They do not show up for me so much.
00:18:53.759 --> 00:19:01.119
You know, I'm I'm the I I work for the UN of people as very like I'm just their translator, and that is really how I feel.
00:19:01.279 --> 00:19:03.359
That's my duty in all of this.
00:19:03.519 --> 00:19:09.599
But they're always around, and I don't fault a medium for not being able to locate someone.
00:19:09.759 --> 00:19:13.680
Um, but that's not typically been my experience at all.
00:19:13.839 --> 00:19:26.799
Now, some I think personality stays very much the same, and so that's my strength because I don't focus on names or dates or anniversaries, so I really hone in on the personality, and I think that's very congruent in spirit.
00:19:26.880 --> 00:19:41.599
Now, the the idiosyncrasies sometimes they fall away, and certainly any illness or um aches and pains or discomfort, those go away, but really we stay the same in my experience.
00:19:41.759 --> 00:19:45.519
Again, no dogma, but that that's been my experience in doing this.
00:19:45.759 --> 00:19:50.079
Yeah, yeah, that mine is well, and I appreciate you saying this, and it's interesting.
00:19:50.319 --> 00:19:58.799
I um identify so much with your your path and your philosophy that it when I read, it's it's very much the same.
00:19:58.880 --> 00:20:04.720
It is so much about the personality, the feeling, that energy that comes through so strongly.
00:20:04.880 --> 00:20:12.400
And of course, evidence is there, but I'm I'm not sitting there with details about names and dates and whatnot.
00:20:12.480 --> 00:20:22.160
It's it's much more about who they are and what they want to um share and and recertify.
00:20:22.319 --> 00:20:33.839
And you know, when you when you see that the that the the client is is becomes very aware that their person is here with them.
00:20:34.000 --> 00:20:35.599
I mean, it's just profound.
00:20:35.680 --> 00:20:47.279
And and also I I mean, no offense to anybody, but there's some dishonorable people in this field that are less than honest and and maybe not as scrupulous as they should be.
00:20:47.359 --> 00:21:07.519
And and names and dates, I think, are something that could be easily researched, whereas a great deal of personality and specific events that no one else would have on, you know, an obituary or Facebook or Twitter or whatever, you know, I I think those are much more, to me, that is much more evidence than anything else.
00:21:07.680 --> 00:21:12.319
I just tested with Forever Family Foundation and passed and was certified.
00:21:12.480 --> 00:21:13.359
Huge achievement.
00:21:13.519 --> 00:21:23.599
But I appreciate the way that they did their testing because you had 15 minutes and rapid fire, and I was very certain that I wouldn't do well because I don't get names and dates.
00:21:23.759 --> 00:21:24.640
I don't focus on that.
00:21:24.720 --> 00:21:32.799
I just had a preponderance of evidence, so of of personality and events and and personal, you know, anecdotes.
00:21:33.119 --> 00:21:37.839
So some people prefer the names and dates, and I think that's great.
00:21:38.000 --> 00:21:41.680
That's just not been something that I've tend to focus on.
00:21:42.079 --> 00:21:42.319
Yeah.
00:21:42.559 --> 00:21:43.200
Thank you.
00:21:43.440 --> 00:21:44.000
Thank you.
00:21:44.240 --> 00:21:44.799
Yeah.
00:21:45.519 --> 00:21:48.000
So I I want to ask kind of a different question.
00:21:48.160 --> 00:21:51.599
You you talked about kind of childhood in your experience.
00:21:52.079 --> 00:21:59.359
I wonder what your 13 year old self would think about you today and what you're doing.
00:22:00.319 --> 00:22:02.559
I don't think she would be surprised at all.
00:22:02.880 --> 00:22:07.759
As a very little child, I would tell, I mean, I mean, I was just such a weird odd duck.
00:22:07.839 --> 00:22:08.240
Seriously.
00:22:08.319 --> 00:22:10.240
I I I'm just being completely honest.
00:22:10.400 --> 00:22:22.640
I remember two, three years old telling people, I'm going to do this when I grow up and I'm going to have this many kids and blah, you know, I just it so at 13, I don't think I would be very surprised at what has encountered.
00:22:22.799 --> 00:22:31.599
I don't understand why I was so excited about all of this because let me tell you, the journey, I like I look back at that and I go, oh my gosh, who would be excited about this?
00:22:31.759 --> 00:22:34.640
But I was at the time, even at a younger age.
00:22:34.880 --> 00:22:38.559
Uh, I think I would be kinder to that little girl.
00:22:38.799 --> 00:22:45.200
Uh, I certainly think that's advice for all of us, but you know, and maybe a little bit more patient.
00:22:45.279 --> 00:22:47.200
I was just so excited for all of this to start.
00:22:47.279 --> 00:22:49.440
And again, in hindsight, I'm like, why?
00:22:49.920 --> 00:22:54.160
Uh, I don't know, but yeah, I don't think she would be that surprised.
00:22:54.480 --> 00:22:54.880
Yeah.
00:22:55.200 --> 00:22:57.920
Did you find when you were um growing up?
00:22:58.079 --> 00:23:01.119
Did you like, did you share some of this with friends and people?
00:23:01.440 --> 00:23:06.000
Oh my gosh, listen, I uh as a little girl, and I remember this.
00:23:06.160 --> 00:23:08.079
My mom would refresh my memory often.
00:23:08.160 --> 00:23:10.559
At five years old, I wanted to go to nursing homes.
00:23:10.640 --> 00:23:12.960
And this is so unusual.
00:23:13.119 --> 00:23:20.960
But I would go and have my mom drop me off in nursing homes, and I would run to the people in their wheelchair or their bed, and I would go, Oh my gosh, you're gonna go see Jesus soon.
00:23:21.039 --> 00:23:24.880
And this is who's I mean, how inappropriate is that that this is what I would want to do.
00:23:25.119 --> 00:23:31.359
I thought I should be a nun because I thought, oh, these are mystical experiences, and that was my only comparison to what this could be like.
00:23:31.440 --> 00:23:34.079
So I would spend summers in a convent.
00:23:34.400 --> 00:23:37.599
What young preteen wants to do that?
00:23:37.759 --> 00:23:41.839
I don't know, but you know, it's it's been an interesting life.
00:23:41.920 --> 00:23:47.519
But I I've found that I've always kind of innately known what I was going to do without all the details.
00:23:47.680 --> 00:23:48.960
Let me be very clear about that.
00:23:49.119 --> 00:23:52.640
It was just kind of a broad picture of what this was going to look like.
00:23:52.799 --> 00:23:55.519
And it's not been very out of step, I will have to say.
00:23:55.599 --> 00:23:57.200
It's been kind of predictable.
00:23:57.440 --> 00:23:58.559
Yeah, yeah.
00:23:58.799 --> 00:24:00.799
How interesting, how fascinating.
00:24:00.880 --> 00:24:03.359
And again, I relate so much to what you're saying.
00:24:03.440 --> 00:24:06.160
I'm so grateful for this opportunity to talk with you.
00:24:06.319 --> 00:24:10.559
So you are someone who is very inspiring to me.
00:24:10.799 --> 00:24:12.319
I so much appreciate your path.
00:24:12.480 --> 00:24:17.759
I appreciate what you have to say, and and it's validating to me in so many ways.
00:24:18.079 --> 00:24:20.640
Who inspires you in your world?
00:24:20.799 --> 00:24:22.480
Who lights you up?
00:24:22.640 --> 00:24:24.559
Who who uh my grandmother.
00:24:24.640 --> 00:24:26.799
I I mean, honestly, that was my person.
00:24:27.119 --> 00:24:45.279
Um, there's I I have a huge longing to understand consciousness, so that's something that I would really so um the anyone that really delves into that realm um is just you know piqued my interest to some extent.
00:24:45.519 --> 00:24:52.640
But I think that it's more the individual relationships that that I want to aspire to, the honor and the integrity.
00:24:52.720 --> 00:24:54.079
And let me just be very clear.
00:24:54.160 --> 00:25:00.400
I'm the very kind words that you said, Donna, but I can't really take any credit for anything that I do.
00:25:00.559 --> 00:25:01.440
I I really can't.
00:25:01.599 --> 00:25:04.480
If no one in spirit shows up, I have nothing to say.
00:25:04.640 --> 00:25:10.799
I I feel humbled, and I it it's always an honor to play the role that I do.
00:25:10.880 --> 00:25:12.880
It's really just an intermediary.
00:25:13.119 --> 00:25:21.440
So I'm inspired by everyone that that has an honest thinking, and and particularly people that continue to search.
00:25:21.599 --> 00:25:23.759
I want to to be like that.
00:25:24.319 --> 00:25:26.079
So yeah.
00:25:27.039 --> 00:25:40.240
So at the end of this lifetime, many years from now, your grandma surpassed a hundred, so many years from now, at the end of your life, how do you how do you want to be remembered, Isabella?
00:25:40.400 --> 00:25:42.640
What what do you want to leave behind?
00:25:43.839 --> 00:25:44.799
What a great question.
00:25:44.960 --> 00:25:47.279
I was just talking to my husband about this the other day.
00:25:47.599 --> 00:26:04.240
I miss my grandmother so much, and I I want anyone, if there's just one person that would have fond memories and think that I helped them, I can't think of a greater memorial.
00:26:04.400 --> 00:26:05.359
I I really can't.
00:26:05.519 --> 00:26:13.839
To just be of service, to have eased suffering for even a few moments, I I think that that would have made me of use.
00:26:14.079 --> 00:26:17.119
And there's always things I wish I could do better or differently.
00:26:17.200 --> 00:26:22.240
And you know, I I am my harshest critic in everything in life, which is probably not that unusual.
00:26:22.480 --> 00:26:30.880
But I to be of service and to lighten the load for someone in pain or suffering, that would be a great honor.
00:26:32.160 --> 00:26:39.839
I wonder, do you do you think you are obviously very service-minded and always have been based on what you're sharing with us?
00:26:40.000 --> 00:26:43.920
You've been mindful of others and their needs.
00:26:44.079 --> 00:26:48.640
And so I I think I understand the answer to my question here.
00:26:48.720 --> 00:26:59.839
But what is it that you think has given you the confidence to do this work and to, I mean, it's really a very bold thing to do.
00:26:59.920 --> 00:27:14.480
And I get that you are are saying very clearly that you are literally the medium, the one in the middle, that this is I I understand that, but but to to speak the words, to share and to connect for people.
00:27:14.720 --> 00:27:18.000
What how how is it that you have this confidence?
00:27:18.160 --> 00:27:20.319
What has done that for you?
00:27:21.359 --> 00:27:28.559
I think just time and validation, and I no longer need that in the way that I did in my 20s.
00:27:28.799 --> 00:27:32.559
I just have confidence that everyone in spirit knows what they're doing.
00:27:32.880 --> 00:27:36.720
And I think that's where I get it from, that I know that they're going to show up.
00:27:36.799 --> 00:27:39.279
Well, I pray that they're going to show up, and they do.
00:27:39.519 --> 00:27:45.119
And I know that they'll know what needs to be said more so than I ever could.
00:27:45.519 --> 00:27:58.400
Um, I think it's just almost 40 years of doing this and having a sense of familiarity with how it will feel and or should feel and look, and and I just a tremendous amount of trust.
00:27:58.480 --> 00:28:04.400
Like I have a great team and spirit that I love ones huge of that.
00:28:05.039 --> 00:28:15.440
We've we froze out for the last moment of what you were saying, but I think we we got the what of what you were uh what you were sharing, and um thank you for this.
00:28:15.599 --> 00:28:17.200
I'm uh so I don't know.
00:28:17.279 --> 00:28:18.640
Honestly, I I I don't know.
00:28:18.720 --> 00:28:20.079
I never thought of it in that manner.
00:28:20.240 --> 00:28:22.079
I don't I don't feel confident in what I do.
00:28:22.160 --> 00:28:30.079
I am nervous, Nelly, from until I see the client, or actually until I see the first person in spirit, I am panicked every single time.
00:28:30.240 --> 00:28:31.200
Just very prayerful.
00:28:31.440 --> 00:28:33.759
Oh my gosh, please someone show up.
00:28:34.240 --> 00:28:34.960
I froze again.
00:28:35.359 --> 00:28:37.119
Yeah, we froze, we froze again.
00:28:37.440 --> 00:28:39.200
But here we are, back again.
00:28:39.440 --> 00:28:41.680
And I I appreciate you sharing that too.
00:28:41.839 --> 00:28:49.200
You that you're um yeah, worried until that first person shows up and then that path is open.
00:28:49.440 --> 00:28:52.720
Um, no, I I understand that is very helpful to me.
00:28:53.039 --> 00:28:53.279
Right.
00:28:53.440 --> 00:28:56.559
It's just like please, please, please, someone show up.
00:28:56.640 --> 00:28:59.039
Yeah, I do not know what to do for an hour otherwise.
00:28:59.440 --> 00:28:59.599
Right.
00:28:59.839 --> 00:29:00.960
It's never failed me.
00:29:01.039 --> 00:29:07.920
They've always done it, but there's still that anxiety that, oh my gosh, yeah, what if it, what if this is the time?
00:29:08.160 --> 00:29:08.319
Yeah.
00:29:08.480 --> 00:29:17.519
And I think one of my biggest learnings along the way is to just share those random, weird, strange, like, what is this?
00:29:17.920 --> 00:29:22.160
Why even saying this this thing seems so obscure?
00:29:22.400 --> 00:29:24.240
So am I really hearing that?
00:29:24.400 --> 00:29:24.880
Am I really?
00:29:25.119 --> 00:29:32.960
And then you share that, and of course, that's the thing that it you know is the the the piece that um that they were needing to hear.
00:29:33.039 --> 00:29:33.119
Right.
00:29:33.440 --> 00:29:34.960
Validation they were needing to hear.
00:29:35.039 --> 00:29:36.640
So I've learned over time.
00:29:36.799 --> 00:29:41.920
Don't don't I no longer try to introduce left brain into anything I'm doing.
00:29:42.079 --> 00:29:45.519
If it's being shown to me or said it's getting said, period, the end.
00:29:45.680 --> 00:29:49.759
I have no idea what it may mean, yeah, but to the client it's valuable.
00:29:49.920 --> 00:29:53.039
And I'm like, okay, all right, let's go.
00:29:53.279 --> 00:29:54.000
Let's go.
00:29:54.160 --> 00:29:54.799
Exactly.
00:29:54.960 --> 00:29:55.839
Oh, I love this.
00:29:56.000 --> 00:29:57.039
That's wonderful.
00:29:58.000 --> 00:30:04.720
Looking looking at time, I think it's time to switch up a little bit and we're gonna go to our rapid fire questions if you're okay with that.
00:30:04.960 --> 00:30:05.119
Okay.
00:30:05.680 --> 00:30:10.480
Like Donna said, we're just gonna throw some questions out at you and whatever comes to mind.
00:30:10.640 --> 00:30:11.759
So these are kind of fun.
00:30:12.000 --> 00:30:13.759
I guess we think they're fun anyway.
00:30:15.599 --> 00:30:24.880
So if you're walking up to the stage, being called to the stage for your award or this great presentation you're giving, what would be your walk-in song?
00:30:25.279 --> 00:30:26.319
Oh my gosh.
00:30:26.480 --> 00:30:28.240
Um, I love music.
00:30:28.400 --> 00:30:30.880
Okay, this is gonna be completely unexpected.
00:30:31.039 --> 00:30:35.359
I I have music on all day long when I dive bar beauty queen.
00:30:36.799 --> 00:30:37.119
Okay.
00:30:38.559 --> 00:30:41.440
Very unexpected, incredibly unexpected.
00:30:41.599 --> 00:30:41.920
Yep.
00:30:42.160 --> 00:30:46.000
Or something from Wayland Jennings, or I could go Led Zeppelin or Van Halen.
00:30:46.400 --> 00:30:47.599
Very eclectic with that.
00:30:48.000 --> 00:30:50.000
Nothing after 1985 will ever.
00:30:50.480 --> 00:30:52.640
I was just gonna say, you're a girl of the 80s.
00:30:52.720 --> 00:30:52.960
Come on.
00:30:53.279 --> 00:30:57.039
Well, 70s to 80s, like, yes, I did that's my music.
00:30:57.359 --> 00:30:58.000
I love it.
00:30:58.160 --> 00:30:58.880
That's so good.
00:30:59.039 --> 00:30:59.359
Okay.
00:30:59.759 --> 00:31:01.920
What book changed you?
00:31:02.319 --> 00:31:04.319
The Stand by Stephen King.
00:31:04.480 --> 00:31:06.160
I probably read that 15 times.
00:31:06.319 --> 00:31:11.279
I loved it, and I read it when I was like 11, so not exactly appropriate reading for a child.
00:31:11.440 --> 00:31:14.160
Uh, true crime, anything true crime.
00:31:14.400 --> 00:31:18.480
Um, a profound spiritual book, which is probably what you're looking for.
00:31:18.559 --> 00:31:20.160
Um any book.
00:31:20.400 --> 00:31:21.279
Uh, I don't know.
00:31:21.440 --> 00:31:26.000
I mean, I I am not as a voracious of a reader as I used to be.
00:31:26.319 --> 00:31:29.519
Um, yeah, I'm gonna go with the stand.
00:31:29.839 --> 00:31:30.960
That was my first answer.
00:31:31.200 --> 00:31:32.240
I love that book.
00:31:32.559 --> 00:31:33.119
Yeah, right.
00:31:33.839 --> 00:31:38.720
And I have not been able to read Stephen King, but my husband and my son both love Stephen King.
00:31:39.599 --> 00:31:40.079
Adore him.
00:31:40.400 --> 00:31:41.920
Yeah, incredible.
00:31:42.640 --> 00:31:46.079
What movie lives rent-free in your brain?
00:31:47.839 --> 00:31:48.160
Okay.
00:31:48.880 --> 00:31:52.319
Um, the third man or someone else.
00:31:52.640 --> 00:31:53.519
The third man.
00:31:54.079 --> 00:31:56.480
Love it, love it, absolutely love it.
00:31:56.799 --> 00:31:58.319
You are so interesting.
00:31:59.759 --> 00:32:00.640
I'm weird.
00:32:00.799 --> 00:32:02.880
I think the word you're looking for is weird.
00:32:03.200 --> 00:32:06.400
No, we we weird recognizes weird and appreciates it.
00:32:06.720 --> 00:32:07.039
Okay.
00:32:07.440 --> 00:32:09.200
It's all interesting, yes.
00:32:09.440 --> 00:32:13.680
What did you love doing as a kid that you love doing to this day?
00:32:14.000 --> 00:32:14.640
Dogs.
00:32:14.880 --> 00:32:16.720
Um anything with dogs.
00:32:16.799 --> 00:32:17.759
I've got five dogs.
00:32:18.000 --> 00:32:21.359
We've got a stray dog down the street that I'm trying, I'm feeding twice a day.
00:32:21.440 --> 00:32:22.640
We've got a trail case.
00:32:22.880 --> 00:32:26.240
I I just I I love anything having to do with animals at all.
00:32:26.319 --> 00:32:28.400
I've got such a big heart for them.
00:32:28.559 --> 00:32:31.519
Um, singing, I cannot sing to save my life.
00:32:31.680 --> 00:32:36.960
My children, when they were little, I would sing lullabies and they would get, you know, put their little palms over my mouth.
00:32:37.200 --> 00:32:41.680
I just I I I feel very childlike in most of my life.
00:32:41.839 --> 00:32:44.880
Like I really, I don't have a great deal of common sense.
00:32:44.960 --> 00:32:47.599
That that is a gene that is absolutely missing.
00:32:47.920 --> 00:32:52.400
So there's a childlike naivete that that kind of lives on the simple things.
00:32:52.559 --> 00:32:53.200
I don't know.
00:32:53.440 --> 00:32:53.920
I don't know.
00:32:54.160 --> 00:32:54.720
I love it.
00:32:54.880 --> 00:32:55.359
I love that.
00:32:55.839 --> 00:33:01.200
Do you can I ask, do you um connect with dogs and animals and yes?
00:33:01.359 --> 00:33:03.440
And I absolutely it's it's torturous.
00:33:03.680 --> 00:33:04.960
I think I'm going to stop doing it.
00:33:05.279 --> 00:33:13.599
It's just um, yeah, I I I I like animals a lot more than I don't want to say most people, but several people.
00:33:13.839 --> 00:33:37.519
So for me, there's just that pureness and being able to connect with an animal, it is profoundly shocking, but also comforting that they're such a sentient being as well, too, and able to show me their life and and how they transition and the gratitudes and the feelings and things that are very evidential that again are not wild guesses, but very descriptive of personality and what they look like.
00:33:37.599 --> 00:33:45.519
And yes, but it's I I cry more at those than any it's just it's it's hard.
00:33:45.920 --> 00:33:46.160
Yeah.
00:33:46.400 --> 00:33:52.880
But we we say our animals go on, our pets go on just as much as you and I in a human body do.
00:33:53.200 --> 00:33:54.000
Absolutely.
00:33:54.160 --> 00:33:58.559
I one of my uh what can I say?
00:33:58.640 --> 00:34:16.960
But the most profound favorite things that my son in spirit has shown me or that just move me so deeply is that he showed me very clearly in his transition instantly, his lifetime dog, our dog, how he was there, how he was there, how he just bounded, right?
00:34:17.280 --> 00:34:28.960
Bounded to him, and that gives me such incredible comfort and joy to see that I could I can see that still, and how he was right there, and so to welcome his boy.
00:34:31.519 --> 00:34:33.360
Such pure innocent love, right?
00:34:33.440 --> 00:34:38.159
Like just as unconditional, always happy to see us, always grateful.
00:34:38.480 --> 00:34:47.199
And um outside of my grandmother and my daughter, that's who I want to see first, are are my dogs and my cat, like just I don't know.
00:34:48.079 --> 00:34:48.880
That's it for me.
00:34:49.440 --> 00:34:50.000
I love it.
00:34:50.079 --> 00:34:54.639
Yeah, so what in the world is lighting you up right now?
00:34:55.599 --> 00:35:08.800
Being out in nature, um so much in a way that I never thought possible because I've always been a city girl, like I've always lived in not small places, Phoenix and Vegas, and lived all over the world.
00:35:09.039 --> 00:35:16.079
But being out in nature, the simple things in life just are really it's I love it.
00:35:16.159 --> 00:35:19.039
I just the simple things, the silence.
00:35:19.679 --> 00:35:25.280
That that's what I'm I'm imagining it, and I'm imagining the silence, and I'm imagining the presence.
00:35:25.519 --> 00:35:25.840
Right.
00:35:26.559 --> 00:35:32.400
It would force one to really just be in that movement connected.
00:35:32.559 --> 00:35:34.159
I can that makes sense to me.
00:35:34.400 --> 00:35:35.440
Yeah, yeah.
00:35:35.920 --> 00:35:37.360
Wow, beautiful.
00:35:37.519 --> 00:35:37.840
Okay.
00:35:38.239 --> 00:35:40.320
What color is hope?
00:35:42.159 --> 00:35:42.800
White.
00:35:43.519 --> 00:35:44.639
White, white.
00:35:45.440 --> 00:35:47.360
What does hope sound like?
00:35:49.440 --> 00:35:56.800
The ability to believe that tomorrow will be better, or five minutes will be better, or a year from now will be better.
00:35:56.960 --> 00:36:02.320
And I think for me, that's just really come with the age that I've survived everything so far.
00:36:02.480 --> 00:36:06.800
Yeah, and there is hope that tomorrow will be better.
00:36:07.599 --> 00:36:08.480
I love that.
00:36:08.719 --> 00:36:10.880
Isabella, thank you so much for joining us.
00:36:11.119 --> 00:36:12.480
Thank you for having me.
00:36:14.159 --> 00:36:15.199
This was I enjoyed this.
00:36:15.440 --> 00:36:16.000
That's a treat.
00:36:16.079 --> 00:36:16.639
Oh, wow.
00:36:16.880 --> 00:36:19.760
Just a treat and a joy to spend this time with you.
00:36:19.840 --> 00:36:29.119
So we want to um tell everybody if you are interested in connecting with Isabella, and you should, she's amazing.
00:36:29.280 --> 00:36:34.239
Uh you can she has a website, thesoulreadingmedium.com.
00:36:34.480 --> 00:36:35.280
You can find her there.
00:36:35.360 --> 00:36:42.480
You can find all about her, testimonials, make appointments, and whatnot, thesoulreadingmedium.com.
00:36:42.719 --> 00:36:44.800
Anything else we should share, Isabella?
00:36:45.119 --> 00:36:46.800
No, I'm just grateful to be here.
00:36:46.960 --> 00:36:47.679
I thank you.
00:36:47.840 --> 00:36:53.280
And I the one word I would like to say to everyone is things do not ever stay the same.
00:36:53.440 --> 00:36:59.280
So if you find yourself in a place of struggle right at this minute, it might be there tomorrow, it might be there next week.
00:36:59.440 --> 00:37:03.440
But if you look back in your life, nothing remains the same forever.
00:37:03.599 --> 00:37:08.000
So again, the hope, just having that hope and and continuing on.
00:37:08.079 --> 00:37:09.440
One more second, one more breath.
00:37:09.519 --> 00:37:13.199
Because I've been in the spot before where I wasn't sure that was possible.
00:37:13.599 --> 00:37:15.840
And it turns out it is.
00:37:16.719 --> 00:37:19.519
Hope through one more second, one breath.
00:37:19.760 --> 00:37:20.320
I'd love that.
00:37:20.800 --> 00:37:21.760
I love that.
00:37:22.079 --> 00:37:25.920
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, everyone, for listening.
00:37:26.239 --> 00:37:28.639
