Public transport authorities are being challenged to rethink their role in an era of climate pressure, digital acceleration and rising public expectations. The question is no longer just how to operate services, but how to orchestrate entire mobility systems.
In this episode, Dr Kaan Yildizgöz speaks with Endre Angelvik, Executive Vice President of Radical Innovation at Ruter AS. Together, they explore how Ruter has moved beyond the traditional PTA model towards becoming a system orchestrator, guided by a vision of sustainable freedom of movement.
The discussion examines how governance can actively enable radical innovation, and how Ruter has prepared its organisation for AI- and data-driven mobility through long-term investment in culture, standards and experimentation.
