8: The Dark Knight with Dave Mongan

Welcome to Formative Media with Christian Spicer, the show that celebrates the media that inspires, influences, and defines us.

This episode we talk The Dark Knight with Dave Mongan! You might know Dave from his time writing on the hit CBS procedural Without a Trace, from his work on Bungie's incredible first-person shooter, Destiny, or perhaps from his time as a senior narrative director at Xbox.

We unpack why The Dark Knight has stuck with Dave all these years and how it has influenced his writing, and how it continues to influence his work today. Plus, it always great to revisit The Dark Knight.

The show is supported by its listeners, so think about becoming a patron on Patreon at patreon.com/formativemediashow, where you can help ensure this show continues, and get some really cool perks (like ad-free episodes, bonus shows, access to the community chat, and more) along the way too.
