14
00:00:40.000 --> 00:00:42.159

15
00:00:42.159 --> 00:00:44.840

71
00:03:53.039 --> 00:03:56.120
Now let's get back to today's story. If you're curious
72
00:03:56.199 --> 00:03:59.000
to know what products I'm using, I'll list them down
73
00:03:59.120 --> 00:04:03.080
in the description down below. But other than that, I
74
00:04:03.159 --> 00:04:07.919
will stop rambling and let's get to the juicy story.
75
00:04:08.639 --> 00:04:10.840
I shouldn't say juicy, it's awful. I was gonna say
76
00:04:10.919 --> 00:04:13.879
juicy makeup, but whatever, Let's get to the story. Huh.
77
00:04:13.919 --> 00:04:18.199
Today's story is about Stacy Ruth Daniels, who was born
78
00:04:18.519 --> 00:04:23.319
July twenty fourth, nineteen sixty seven. Happy Birthday. I guess
79
00:04:23.519 --> 00:04:27.480
her parents were, you know, simple parents. Great. She grew
80
00:04:27.560 --> 00:04:31.439
up in Clay, New York, which is a pretty large,
81
00:04:31.480 --> 00:04:34.600
not pretty large, but like somewhat large, predominantly white, middle
82
00:04:34.600 --> 00:04:39.680
class suburb area just outside of Syracuse, New York. Now,
83
00:04:39.720 --> 00:04:43.120
Stacy came from like a good family, at least it seemed,
84
00:04:43.199 --> 00:04:46.319
you know, based off of what I read. But growing up,
85
00:04:46.360 --> 00:04:49.720
it was said Stacey was really intelligent and she really
86
00:04:49.759 --> 00:04:51.759
from a young age she wanted to get into law,
87
00:04:52.000 --> 00:04:53.800
and like she was really on her way to do so.
88
00:04:54.279 --> 00:04:56.160
She did well in school and like she was just
89
00:04:56.199 --> 00:04:59.519
really working towards that. I mean, that's always special, I
90
00:04:59.560 --> 00:05:02.839
feel like, because law ain't easy. Baby. So in nineteen
91
00:05:02.879 --> 00:05:06.079
eighty five, when Stacy was just seventeen, one of her
92
00:05:06.079 --> 00:05:09.279
friends had introduced her to a guy named Michael Wallace,
93
00:05:10.040 --> 00:05:13.879
and it was said that it was love at first sight.
94
00:05:14.199 --> 00:05:17.040
You know, Michael was just one of those guys who
95
00:05:17.480 --> 00:05:19.399
he was the party. When he showed up, you knew
96
00:05:19.439 --> 00:05:21.480
it was gonna be a good time. He was outgoing,
97
00:05:21.680 --> 00:05:25.319
he was very social, and he liked to party. Some
98
00:05:25.360 --> 00:05:28.199
would say he partied a little too hard, but you know,
99
00:05:28.560 --> 00:05:31.240
I'm not making excuses for it, because it just kind
100
00:05:31.240 --> 00:05:33.279
of seemed like he was going through that party phase
101
00:05:33.319 --> 00:05:35.759
you go through when you're a teenager or like in
102
00:05:35.800 --> 00:05:39.040
college or whatever. I don't know, drugs, alcohol, and you're
103
00:05:39.079 --> 00:05:43.000
just like doing that. Seemed like he was doing that.
104
00:05:43.120 --> 00:05:46.600
And in later interview, Stacy said that when she first
105
00:05:46.920 --> 00:05:49.519
met Michael, she knew like she was going to marry
106
00:05:49.600 --> 00:05:51.920
him within the first couple of minutes of meeting. It
107
00:05:52.000 --> 00:05:54.839
was just love at first sight, wasn't it. The two
108
00:05:54.839 --> 00:05:57.759
of them. They ended up dating for I think like
109
00:05:57.800 --> 00:06:00.519
two years, and then they had their first daughter, Ashley,
110
00:06:00.600 --> 00:06:03.000
in the year nineteen eighty seven, and then a year
111
00:06:03.079 --> 00:06:06.800
or two later, I'm not quite sure because it just
112
00:06:06.879 --> 00:06:09.519
wasn't clear, but a year or two later, the couple
113
00:06:09.560 --> 00:06:12.959
decided to get married, and they ended up getting married
114
00:06:13.040 --> 00:06:16.920
in Stacy's parents' home. That's where they held the ceremony.
115
00:06:17.439 --> 00:06:20.800
It was cute, it was wonderful. Everyone seemed happy. And
116
00:06:20.839 --> 00:06:23.639
then not long after, the family of three turned into
117
00:06:23.680 --> 00:06:26.800
a family of four when they welcomed their second daughter,
118
00:06:26.920 --> 00:06:31.040
Brie in nineteen ninety one. Stacy's mom, her name was Judy.
119
00:06:31.360 --> 00:06:33.839
She said that her daughter, she had been like the
120
00:06:33.920 --> 00:06:37.079
happiest she had ever been at least to her. She
121
00:06:37.160 --> 00:06:40.240
was like, wow, my daughter just seems to be the happiest.
122
00:06:40.519 --> 00:06:43.879
During this time, Stacy had worked for an ambulance dispatch
123
00:06:43.959 --> 00:06:47.959
company while Michael he worked nights as a mechanic. They
124
00:06:48.040 --> 00:06:52.000
were both working NonStop to make ends meet, which obviously
125
00:06:52.319 --> 00:06:55.000
very exhausting for the couple, but it's what they had
126
00:06:55.040 --> 00:06:57.439
to do. What a lot of people have to do,
127
00:06:57.480 --> 00:07:01.360
you know, especially with the growing family all that now. Unfortunately,
128
00:07:01.439 --> 00:07:05.720
because of the couple's opposite work schedules, it was causing
129
00:07:05.839 --> 00:07:09.160
quite a strain, you know, on the relationship. And like
130
00:07:09.199 --> 00:07:12.519
within the home, the family all lived under the same roof,
131
00:07:12.920 --> 00:07:17.240
but it really felt like everybody was just living separate lives, right.
132
00:07:17.279 --> 00:07:20.480
Everyone was just kind of a shadow coming and going. Sucks.
133
00:07:20.720 --> 00:07:24.399
And that trend also just really continued when it came
134
00:07:24.439 --> 00:07:29.199
down to their kids, because the parents would be playing favorites,
135
00:07:29.600 --> 00:07:31.399
which I don't have kids, so you know, I'm sure
136
00:07:31.439 --> 00:07:33.680
you guys have a favorite Loki, but you don't like
137
00:07:33.800 --> 00:07:39.560
admit it, right, I don't know. Whatever. Anyways, So Brie,
138
00:07:39.560 --> 00:07:42.480
the youngest, she was more of a daddy's girl, and
139
00:07:42.680 --> 00:07:46.480
while Michael never really said it out loud, it was,
140
00:07:46.879 --> 00:07:49.160
you know, it was obvious to everybody. He didn't really
141
00:07:49.360 --> 00:07:53.800
do a good job of hiding his favorite child's Now,
142
00:07:53.839 --> 00:07:57.240
Stacy noticed that her other daughter, Ashley, didn't get as
143
00:07:57.319 --> 00:08:01.879
much attention as Brie, so to compensate, Stacy really tried
144
00:08:01.920 --> 00:08:04.959
to focus her attention on Ashley, and she would also
145
00:08:05.040 --> 00:08:08.000
try to spend a lot of time together and Stacy
146
00:08:08.480 --> 00:08:11.000
she liked her daughter Ashley so much that she would
147
00:08:11.079 --> 00:08:16.639
even call her her best friend. That's endearing in a way, right,
148
00:08:16.959 --> 00:08:18.639
I don't know, because you don't want your parent to
149
00:08:18.639 --> 00:08:20.000
be your best friend. But at the same time, I
150
00:08:20.040 --> 00:08:22.800
think she's just doing it because she feels bad. But
151
00:08:22.839 --> 00:08:25.959
I'm not really sure either way. She's a shitty best friend.
152
00:08:26.879 --> 00:08:29.000
And you'll see why. Okay. As time went on, though,
153
00:08:29.040 --> 00:08:32.519
the family just started falling apart. Stacy and Michael. Their
154
00:08:32.600 --> 00:08:35.679
marriage was really like on the verge of divorce, and
155
00:08:35.720 --> 00:08:40.000
the kids were divided, and there were even rumors swarming
156
00:08:40.000 --> 00:08:44.919
around the neighborhood that Michael and Stacy were participating in
157
00:08:44.960 --> 00:08:47.919
some kind of sexual affairs. I'm not sure if it
158
00:08:48.000 --> 00:08:50.399
was true or not, but Stacy had gone to a
159
00:08:50.480 --> 00:08:52.840
friend and told her that, you know, if she couldn't
160
00:08:52.840 --> 00:08:56.879
take it anymore, she was thinking about divorcing Michael. At
161
00:08:56.919 --> 00:09:00.399
this point, Michael had been drinking a lot, he was
162
00:09:00.440 --> 00:09:04.600
still like using drugs, and this affair was just kind
163
00:09:04.600 --> 00:09:08.080
of like the last straw fair, right, So when Stacy's
164
00:09:08.080 --> 00:09:11.480
having this conversation with her friend, Christmas was like right
165
00:09:11.519 --> 00:09:13.519
around the corner. So the friend is like, hey, why
166
00:09:13.559 --> 00:09:16.840
don't you just like chill and wait until the holiday
167
00:09:16.879 --> 00:09:19.559
passes and then you can move forward with the idea
168
00:09:19.559 --> 00:09:22.840
of divorce, you know, makes sense. Why break up the
169
00:09:22.919 --> 00:09:26.200
family right before the holidays? That would just I'm sure
170
00:09:26.399 --> 00:09:30.200
traumatize your kids. Maybe I don't know. Okay, So it's
171
00:09:30.320 --> 00:09:32.840
late December nineteen ninety nine, the family at this time
172
00:09:33.039 --> 00:09:37.240
still living in upstate New York, and the winters I
173
00:09:37.360 --> 00:09:41.080
hear are pretty terrible. So at this time, when Michael
174
00:09:41.279 --> 00:09:44.879
comes down with like the cough, like a fever or whatever,
175
00:09:44.960 --> 00:09:46.440
like no one really thinks much of it, you know,
176
00:09:46.600 --> 00:09:49.120
because everyone kind of gets sick around this time. But
177
00:09:49.600 --> 00:09:53.320
his cough ends up lasting for over six weeks, which
178
00:09:53.440 --> 00:09:57.440
is a little concerning, but still not like a reason
179
00:09:57.519 --> 00:10:00.320
to rush to the emergency room in their eyes, you know,
180
00:10:00.679 --> 00:10:03.039
not a stereotype, but it's not really that easy to
181
00:10:03.080 --> 00:10:05.759
get men to go to the emergency room, you know.
182
00:10:05.960 --> 00:10:09.360
So he's like, I'm fine, I'll be okay, I'll walk
183
00:10:09.399 --> 00:10:13.639
it off. But their daughter Ashley remembered that this one
184
00:10:13.720 --> 00:10:16.960
afternoon where she and her dad were like hanging out
185
00:10:17.039 --> 00:10:20.039
in the living room and Michael, her dad, was coughing
186
00:10:20.120 --> 00:10:22.480
and just coughing and coughing to the point that he
187
00:10:23.080 --> 00:10:25.759
like puked all over the coffee table and then he
188
00:10:25.919 --> 00:10:28.200
just laid on the couch trying to recover, and it's
189
00:10:28.279 --> 00:10:30.879
really all he could do. But actually thought like, this
190
00:10:30.919 --> 00:10:35.200
is really weird. He's really sick. So Christmas Eve rolls
191
00:10:35.279 --> 00:10:39.200
around and everyone is like getting together, coming to the table,
192
00:10:39.559 --> 00:10:42.279
you know, to have like dinner. Michael ends up coming
193
00:10:42.320 --> 00:10:45.440
to sit down and everyone had noticed like how puffy
194
00:10:45.559 --> 00:10:48.960
and swollen his face was, so naturally, the family's like,
195
00:10:49.759 --> 00:10:52.240
what the hell, like, stop being stubborn, you need to
196
00:10:52.240 --> 00:10:56.360
go see a doctor, and Michael finally agrees. So, because
197
00:10:56.360 --> 00:10:58.720
it's the holidays, he can't get an appointment right now,
198
00:10:58.759 --> 00:11:01.879
but he makes one and he waits. So then on
199
00:11:02.000 --> 00:11:06.240
January eleventh, two thousand, Michael was laying on the couch
200
00:11:06.320 --> 00:11:09.000
while Ashley was at home hanging out with him, and
201
00:11:09.080 --> 00:11:11.879
she said she started to notice him acting a little funky.
202
00:11:12.080 --> 00:11:14.919
He was just making like weird faces and doing funny
203
00:11:14.960 --> 00:11:17.919
things with his arms, Like his arms I guess, flew
204
00:11:18.000 --> 00:11:20.000
up and down in the air, and then he fell
205
00:11:20.039 --> 00:11:23.320
down on the couch. And Ashley, who's just a tween,
206
00:11:23.799 --> 00:11:26.279
she didn't really think anything of it. She said. She
207
00:11:26.399 --> 00:11:30.000
truly thought her dad was just being like silly Dad.
208
00:11:30.080 --> 00:11:33.159
He's just being weird and being goofy, So she didn't
209
00:11:33.159 --> 00:11:35.600
think anything really of it. So she leaves him on
210
00:11:35.639 --> 00:11:37.480
the couch because she has to go walk and pick
211
00:11:37.559 --> 00:11:40.440
up her younger sister from school, and when she comes
212
00:11:40.480 --> 00:11:43.320
back into the living room, that's when she notices that
213
00:11:43.399 --> 00:11:46.360
her dad wasn't moving and she knew something was wrong,
214
00:11:46.440 --> 00:11:49.480
so she dialed nine one one. The paramedics arrived, but
215
00:11:49.519 --> 00:11:52.919
they were too late. Michael, at the age of thirty eight,
216
00:11:53.759 --> 00:11:58.159
was dead thirty eight the hill. His body was taken
217
00:11:58.159 --> 00:12:00.759
to a hospital where it was then determined by the
218
00:12:00.799 --> 00:12:04.440
doctor that Michael had died of a heart attack. Now,
219
00:12:04.519 --> 00:12:06.960
Michael's sister was I think I was his sister, but
220
00:12:07.000 --> 00:12:09.120
she was skeptical of a heart attack being the cause
221
00:12:09.159 --> 00:12:11.799
of death because to her like, Michael was a pretty
222
00:12:11.840 --> 00:12:14.919
healthy guy. I mean, the only issue he ever had
223
00:12:15.080 --> 00:12:19.159
was like I think a hernia or something. But besides that,
224
00:12:19.320 --> 00:12:22.200
like he was pretty healthy and besides the weird cough,
225
00:12:22.240 --> 00:12:26.279
but still overall he was healthy. And Michael's sister just
226
00:12:26.360 --> 00:12:29.200
couldn't like believe that he could have died from a
227
00:12:29.200 --> 00:12:31.039
heart attack. I mean, she really wanted to have an
228
00:12:31.080 --> 00:12:35.200
autopsy done. But Stacy, Michael's wife, you know, she said no,
229
00:12:35.480 --> 00:12:38.559
I mean, there's no reason a question the doctor's diagnosis.
230
00:12:38.759 --> 00:12:41.279
He the doctor was positive it was a heart attack,
231
00:12:41.600 --> 00:12:44.519
you know, so it must have been a heart attack,
232
00:12:44.639 --> 00:12:46.799
and that was that. I mean, people do have heart
233
00:12:46.799 --> 00:12:49.919
attacks at a young age. He was a hard working man,
234
00:12:50.279 --> 00:12:53.320
you know. So obviously Michael's death was really hard on
235
00:12:53.360 --> 00:12:58.480
the family. The girls losing their dad, Stacy losing her husband, sad,
236
00:12:58.679 --> 00:13:02.879
you know. Some time passes, and Stacy she receives Michael's
237
00:13:03.000 --> 00:13:06.360
life insurance policy, which is like I think around fifty
238
00:13:06.399 --> 00:13:09.559
thousand dollars. And with that money, I know, one thing
239
00:13:09.639 --> 00:13:12.120
she decides to do is take the girls on a
240
00:13:12.240 --> 00:13:16.240
trip to Disney World. Again, I think it's Disney World,
241
00:13:16.440 --> 00:13:19.240
or it might have been Disneyland. Either way, she takes
242
00:13:19.279 --> 00:13:21.200
them Disney and she's like, maybe I'll just lift their
243
00:13:21.240 --> 00:13:26.039
spirits a little, you know something. Shit, Well, life goes on,
244
00:13:26.200 --> 00:13:29.480
doesn't it. So then in two thousand and one, Stacy
245
00:13:29.720 --> 00:13:32.399
is like about thirty four. She left her job at
246
00:13:32.440 --> 00:13:36.679
the ambulance dispatch company and she got a job working
247
00:13:36.799 --> 00:13:40.360
as an office manager for an HVAC company. So she
248
00:13:40.679 --> 00:13:43.799
gets this new job. Great. Her boss at the time
249
00:13:43.960 --> 00:13:47.000
was like, hey, our owner is here, let me introduce
250
00:13:47.039 --> 00:13:50.840
you to him. He takes her over to the owner,
251
00:13:51.759 --> 00:13:56.600
David Castor. So the owner David, he was around forty
252
00:13:56.600 --> 00:14:01.720
four years old. He was tall and handsome, and you know, honestly, Stacy,
253
00:14:02.080 --> 00:14:05.120
she didn't hate it. She liked it. She was enjoying
254
00:14:05.120 --> 00:14:07.720
what she saw. And once again Stacy would well, she
255
00:14:07.759 --> 00:14:11.320
wouldn't say, but based off of my own personal opinion,
256
00:14:11.360 --> 00:14:14.799
it just seemed like lust at first sight. Again, David
257
00:14:14.879 --> 00:14:17.559
and Stacy, they had connected with one another. They started
258
00:14:17.600 --> 00:14:20.279
talking and like, David shared with Stacy that he had
259
00:14:20.279 --> 00:14:23.000
an older son who was grown and like moved out
260
00:14:23.000 --> 00:14:26.679
of the house, and Stacy shared that she had two daughters.
261
00:14:26.720 --> 00:14:29.679
And they really connected and like seemed to just enjoy
262
00:14:29.720 --> 00:14:34.039
each other's company. Really, So they're connecting, They're really feeling
263
00:14:34.080 --> 00:14:36.240
each other, and this really leads to them having a
264
00:14:36.240 --> 00:14:41.399
little fling. Everybody loves love, don't they No bad he
265
00:14:41.639 --> 00:14:45.480
wants to be lonely. Okay, So they're connecting, they're having
266
00:14:45.519 --> 00:14:49.159
a fling. And honestly, David, he was not shy about
267
00:14:49.200 --> 00:14:52.480
like taking her out to nice restaurants or spoiling her
268
00:14:52.759 --> 00:14:55.080
with like little gifts at the office. I don't know
269
00:14:55.080 --> 00:14:58.879
what it is, but a gift at the office, it's
270
00:14:58.919 --> 00:15:01.799
so nice. I don't know why, so stupid. So he
271
00:15:01.879 --> 00:15:05.320
was just treating her like a queen. Okay, lust was
272
00:15:05.399 --> 00:15:09.080
turning into love and guess what. The two of them
273
00:15:09.080 --> 00:15:12.679
go on to get married on August something of two
274
00:15:12.720 --> 00:15:16.320
thousand and three. So when Stacy and David started dating
275
00:15:16.360 --> 00:15:21.480
so quickly after their father's death, Ashley Ambree the kids
276
00:15:21.519 --> 00:15:24.000
they were not very welcoming of this new guy, their
277
00:15:24.039 --> 00:15:27.480
new stepfather. He moves into the house and he came
278
00:15:27.639 --> 00:15:30.879
with his own like set of rules that the girls
279
00:15:30.919 --> 00:15:34.960
had to follow, and these girls were just not feeling it.
280
00:15:35.120 --> 00:15:37.559
They're teenagers, They're not feeling it. They're like, who is
281
00:15:37.559 --> 00:15:39.000
this new guy trying to tell us what to do?
282
00:15:39.080 --> 00:15:43.600
You're not our dad. It's like, shit, fairy, you can't
283
00:15:43.639 --> 00:15:46.240
tell them nothing. I guess he came in pretty strong,
284
00:15:46.840 --> 00:15:50.320
demanded respect right off the bat. But there were obvious
285
00:15:50.360 --> 00:15:55.360
tensions growing between David and the girls and it wasn't good.
286
00:15:55.480 --> 00:15:58.679
So David felt like the girls were being selfish and
287
00:15:58.759 --> 00:16:01.960
honestly quite just for spectful. I mean, he was the
288
00:16:01.960 --> 00:16:05.200
man of the house and what he said goes. So
289
00:16:05.360 --> 00:16:08.840
things were just rocky within the family home right off
290
00:16:08.879 --> 00:16:11.559
the bat. So it was a late Monday afternoon on
291
00:16:11.679 --> 00:16:16.440
August twenty second, two thousand and five, around two pm,
292
00:16:16.480 --> 00:16:19.360
Stacy had called the local Sheriff's office to tell them
293
00:16:19.360 --> 00:16:24.000
that her husband, David Caster, had locked himself in their
294
00:16:24.080 --> 00:16:26.639
bedroom after a fight they had. And this is what
295
00:16:26.720 --> 00:16:31.120
she tells them. She's like, hey, hey, I'm Stacy, right.
296
00:16:31.240 --> 00:16:33.759
So she says that their two year wedding anniversary was
297
00:16:33.799 --> 00:16:37.120
coming up, and David was thinking that he and Stacy
298
00:16:37.200 --> 00:16:40.919
could like go on some kind of romantic getaway, as
299
00:16:40.960 --> 00:16:44.639
one does for anniversaries sometimes, you know, but this getaway
300
00:16:44.720 --> 00:16:46.679
would just be the two of them. So he goes
301
00:16:46.720 --> 00:16:49.759
to Stacy and tells her like what he's thinking and
302
00:16:49.799 --> 00:16:52.080
how they should celebrate, and Stacy's like, oh my god,
303
00:16:52.759 --> 00:16:55.679
I love this idea. Our family deserves all the fun
304
00:16:55.720 --> 00:16:58.039
I could have, you know, and she's thinking the whole
305
00:16:58.200 --> 00:17:01.240
family would be going now I guess according to Stacy,
306
00:17:01.360 --> 00:17:03.879
David got a little annoyed. He's like, no, I just
307
00:17:04.240 --> 00:17:06.440
wanted it to be like the two of us. Well,
308
00:17:06.480 --> 00:17:10.079
Stacy was not having that, and she wasn't going on
309
00:17:10.119 --> 00:17:13.240
the trip unless the whole family was going on the
310
00:17:13.319 --> 00:17:16.400
trip too. Well, according to Stacy, this ended in a
311
00:17:16.640 --> 00:17:18.960
just a huge fight between the two of them. Some
312
00:17:19.000 --> 00:17:22.039
sources say that this fight went on for seven hours,
313
00:17:22.160 --> 00:17:25.960
but I need more contacts there, because you don't just
314
00:17:26.000 --> 00:17:29.079
fight for seven hours. There's breaks, bathroom breaks, you get
315
00:17:29.079 --> 00:17:33.119
a snack, like so I'm mentioning that, but like eye
316
00:17:33.240 --> 00:17:35.240
roll too, because it's like, okay, whatever. So they get
317
00:17:35.279 --> 00:17:37.559
into this huge fight. Then she tells them that David
318
00:17:37.680 --> 00:17:40.079
he was like, you know what, I've had enough, and
319
00:17:40.200 --> 00:17:42.960
he grabs a bottle of alcohol. He went up to
320
00:17:43.000 --> 00:17:46.000
their bedroom, slammed the door, and then locked himself in
321
00:17:46.000 --> 00:17:47.880
the room. I mean, he was done with the argument,
322
00:17:48.680 --> 00:17:51.799
no more discussion. So this happened on a Friday, and
323
00:17:51.839 --> 00:17:55.799
Stacey told police that she hadn't seen David so angry
324
00:17:55.880 --> 00:17:58.920
before that night. She was like very upset. She ended
325
00:17:59.000 --> 00:18:01.319
up sleeping on the couch and just avoiding him for
326
00:18:01.400 --> 00:18:05.079
the rest of the weekend. So Stacy, she told the
327
00:18:05.119 --> 00:18:09.279
officers that David liked to drink like a lot, and
328
00:18:09.400 --> 00:18:12.640
she told them that he was probably just drunk sitting
329
00:18:12.640 --> 00:18:17.000
in that room, just drinking himself to I'm trying to
330
00:18:17.000 --> 00:18:19.039
think of a word, and I just went blank to,
331
00:18:19.559 --> 00:18:22.799
you know, just drinking himself to fill in the blank.
332
00:18:22.920 --> 00:18:25.319
So one of the sergeants have the County Sheriff Department,
333
00:18:25.440 --> 00:18:28.200
they go out to the family home once again, Stacy
334
00:18:28.279 --> 00:18:31.400
tells them the whole story. And when the sergeants goes
335
00:18:31.519 --> 00:18:34.680
up to the master bedroom and he was like, okay,
336
00:18:34.839 --> 00:18:37.200
the door is indeed shut and locked, knocking on it,
337
00:18:37.559 --> 00:18:39.519
and Stacy's telling him that it's been like that for
338
00:18:39.640 --> 00:18:41.880
days now. So the sergeants knocking on the door, doesn't
339
00:18:41.920 --> 00:18:47.119
get a response, knocks again, nothing, So he then kicks
340
00:18:47.160 --> 00:18:50.720
down the door, you know, to gain access, and what
341
00:18:50.880 --> 00:18:55.839
he sees inside was not what anyone was expecting. Inside
342
00:18:56.000 --> 00:18:59.640
the master bedroom, laying across the bed was forty eight
343
00:18:59.720 --> 00:19:05.039
year old David laying naked across like a vomit covered bed.
344
00:19:05.799 --> 00:19:11.759
Ugh what yes, right, Yeah, crime scene photos are not great.
345
00:19:11.799 --> 00:19:13.720
I would not recommend seeing them. But it's like, in
346
00:19:13.759 --> 00:19:17.119
crime scene photos, have you ever noticed there's never sheets
347
00:19:17.200 --> 00:19:20.519
on the mattress. Have you ever noticed that, no matter
348
00:19:20.519 --> 00:19:23.720
how nice the house is or anything like, there's never
349
00:19:23.839 --> 00:19:26.480
sheets on the mattress. And this is something that I've
350
00:19:26.480 --> 00:19:30.519
always wondered. It's not funny, but my brain has to
351
00:19:30.599 --> 00:19:34.599
protect myself and it's like, no sheets, what's that about? Anyways,
352
00:19:34.640 --> 00:19:37.519
poor David is dead. So investigators they start looking around
353
00:19:37.519 --> 00:19:40.440
the room, right, and they notice that on the bedroom
354
00:19:40.519 --> 00:19:44.160
side table there was a glass of cranberry juice, right,
355
00:19:44.519 --> 00:19:47.240
and then there was another glass that was like half
356
00:19:47.279 --> 00:19:53.000
full of a bright green liquid on the floor. Guess
357
00:19:53.000 --> 00:19:55.359
what they see? It was like slightly under the bed
358
00:19:55.880 --> 00:19:59.559
was an open container of anti freeze. Yeah, and then
359
00:19:59.599 --> 00:20:04.720
also under the bed was a shotgun. Very mysterious items found.
360
00:20:05.160 --> 00:20:08.279
But officers have to go tell Stacy that her husband's dead,
361
00:20:08.880 --> 00:20:12.119
and as you'd expect, she's screaming, she's crying. She just
362
00:20:12.200 --> 00:20:15.440
cannot imagine that he killed himself. Like, she just starts
363
00:20:15.480 --> 00:20:18.359
screaming and crying. I can't even imagine how anyone would
364
00:20:18.359 --> 00:20:21.480
be acting. You know, David's body is taken to a corner,
365
00:20:22.079 --> 00:20:26.279
and they determined that David had committed suicide by consuming
366
00:20:26.319 --> 00:20:31.119
a lethal dose of anti freeze. Right side, I sure.
367
00:20:31.240 --> 00:20:33.720
Officers would even go on to say that they have
368
00:20:33.960 --> 00:20:38.039
seen like many cases of different people who have committed
369
00:20:38.079 --> 00:20:40.720
suicide by anti freeze. Now, they would go on to say,
370
00:20:40.720 --> 00:20:44.720
like it's not easy, it's not short, it's definitely painful,
371
00:20:44.880 --> 00:20:48.640
but people have done it before. Plus, like anti freeze
372
00:20:48.680 --> 00:20:53.839
is known to taste kind of good. Don't ask me why, dude,
373
00:20:53.880 --> 00:20:57.000
my Google history is so messed up. It's like, is
374
00:20:57.079 --> 00:21:02.319
anti freeze delicious? Yes? Finding anti freeze recipes. It's not
375
00:21:02.400 --> 00:21:04.880
an easy death though, Like it's really painful. Okay, if
376
00:21:04.880 --> 00:21:07.759
you're going to commit suicide, like that's yeah, that's an option.
377
00:21:07.880 --> 00:21:14.319
But like it's weird because like, right, I have no words,
378
00:21:14.359 --> 00:21:16.960
but I feel like you understand. So Stacy had told
379
00:21:17.079 --> 00:21:21.680
officers that David had been like recently very depressed because
380
00:21:22.200 --> 00:21:25.599
his father had died like suddenly, and he was really
381
00:21:25.680 --> 00:21:28.680
sad about it. So she was really worried that, you know,
382
00:21:28.759 --> 00:21:31.319
he might have killed himself because he was so down
383
00:21:31.680 --> 00:21:34.599
that could be enough and no questions would further be asked.
384
00:21:35.200 --> 00:21:38.680
There was one detective who thought, hmm, that's a little
385
00:21:39.359 --> 00:21:43.720
suspecih besh. There was one question lingering in his noggin,
386
00:21:43.880 --> 00:21:46.920
you know, the fact that David would know what anti
387
00:21:47.000 --> 00:21:49.839
freeze was. He ran an HVAC company. He knows where
388
00:21:49.839 --> 00:21:53.200
anti freeze is, So killing himself by anti freeze was
389
00:21:53.240 --> 00:21:57.359
like an odd choice, especially because there was a shotgun
390
00:21:57.440 --> 00:22:00.880
underneath the bed. Not saying you should do that instead,
391
00:22:00.920 --> 00:22:02.599
but it's like, if you were gonna do that, why
392
00:22:02.640 --> 00:22:04.960
not just do it quickly? Why would you want to
393
00:22:05.000 --> 00:22:10.279
do this slow, painful option, right, I'd hope. When investigators
394
00:22:10.319 --> 00:22:13.559
searched the home for any other clues, they also found
395
00:22:13.599 --> 00:22:16.680
a few items you know to have, like DNA and
396
00:22:16.799 --> 00:22:20.799
SLASH or fingerprint tested. The glass of anti freeze on
397
00:22:20.880 --> 00:22:25.039
the nightstand was dusted for fingerprints, which they discovered had
398
00:22:25.119 --> 00:22:30.079
three fingerprints on it, and the fingerprints were like oddly placed,
399
00:22:30.240 --> 00:22:33.160
as if someone was holding the cup from the bottom
400
00:22:33.640 --> 00:22:35.400
like this, let me show you with my red bull
401
00:22:35.559 --> 00:22:41.160
like three fingerprints, Wait, one, two, three? Can you see that? Wait?
402
00:22:42.079 --> 00:22:45.240
Not sponsored anyways? Three fingerprints as if someone was holding
403
00:22:45.279 --> 00:22:49.160
the cup from the bottom, and the fingerprints matched Stacy's,
404
00:22:49.319 --> 00:22:52.480
but it wasn't like really unusual to have her fingerprints
405
00:22:52.480 --> 00:22:56.279
on a glass in her own home, you know, So
406
00:22:56.319 --> 00:22:58.440
it was kind of like, Okay, that's something, but it's
407
00:22:58.440 --> 00:23:02.880
not everything. Now, on the actual container of anti freeze,
408
00:23:03.000 --> 00:23:07.759
there were no fingerprints found, none at all. In the kitchen,
409
00:23:07.839 --> 00:23:12.119
investigators also find a turkey baster. Now, this turkey baster
410
00:23:12.279 --> 00:23:14.920
was found in the kitchen garbage. Now, it might not
411
00:23:15.039 --> 00:23:18.160
be weird, but it was noted because first of all,
412
00:23:18.200 --> 00:23:21.359
the kitchen looked like it hadn't been used for cooking recently.
413
00:23:21.559 --> 00:23:25.680
And second of all, that turkey baster looked brand spanking new.
414
00:23:26.759 --> 00:23:29.880
I mean, who's throwing away a brand new turkey baster?
415
00:23:30.039 --> 00:23:32.200
You get one in your life and then that's it,
416
00:23:32.599 --> 00:23:35.680
you have it forever, right, never seen one thrown away before,
417
00:23:35.839 --> 00:23:39.240
So okay, weird. So, like, they take pictures of the
418
00:23:39.279 --> 00:23:42.519
turkey baster in the trash, and then it was taken
419
00:23:42.559 --> 00:23:46.519
to be tested for DNA or whatever because it had
420
00:23:46.559 --> 00:23:49.319
a smell to it. It smell like alcohol and there were
421
00:23:49.359 --> 00:23:51.240
a few drops of liquid in it, so they want
422
00:23:51.279 --> 00:23:53.200
to see what that was all about. So it gets taken,
423
00:23:53.359 --> 00:23:57.880
it's tested, and the testing revealed that no fingerprints were
424
00:23:57.920 --> 00:24:01.920
on the turkey baster itself. But on the end where
425
00:24:01.960 --> 00:24:05.480
like the drip comes out. Is that how you describe it,
426
00:24:05.559 --> 00:24:09.960
that had David's DNA on it? No? Not, you're thinking, oh,
427
00:24:10.000 --> 00:24:12.359
I get it, I know what happened. Shut up, don't
428
00:24:12.400 --> 00:24:15.839
ruin it, because listen, be patient, because there's so much more. Well,
429
00:24:15.880 --> 00:24:18.880
this one investigator is like kind of noticing these weird things,
430
00:24:18.880 --> 00:24:21.000
but like nothing is really coming of it just yet,
431
00:24:21.079 --> 00:24:24.119
you know. So life is going on for poor Stacy
432
00:24:24.200 --> 00:24:28.440
who lost two of our husbands. Now, talk about bad
433
00:24:28.680 --> 00:24:32.920
luck Stace. Stacy ended up having David buried in a
434
00:24:32.960 --> 00:24:37.079
plot right next to her previous husband, Michael. Yeah, she
435
00:24:37.119 --> 00:24:39.039
had them buried side by side. I don't know if
436
00:24:39.079 --> 00:24:41.000
that's weird or not, but I was like, what the fuck, girl?
437
00:24:41.759 --> 00:24:43.799
What is that? But I mean, at least it limits
438
00:24:43.839 --> 00:24:47.039
travel time for when she does visit those graves. I
439
00:24:47.079 --> 00:24:49.720
think maybe that was her thought process, but that was
440
00:24:49.720 --> 00:24:54.359
an odd choice. So in David's will, he left everything
441
00:24:54.680 --> 00:24:57.279
to Stacy and her daughters and not one thing to
442
00:24:57.359 --> 00:25:01.400
his own grown son, David Junior. That in itself was weird.
443
00:25:01.640 --> 00:25:04.880
His son sadly took it as his dad like wanted
444
00:25:04.920 --> 00:25:07.039
nothing to do with him and didn't even try to
445
00:25:07.079 --> 00:25:08.759
fight it. He was just like, I guess my dad
446
00:25:08.759 --> 00:25:10.960
doesn't want anything to do with me. Like poor guy.
447
00:25:11.240 --> 00:25:14.240
But uh yeah, he didn't see it as worth a fight,
448
00:25:14.400 --> 00:25:16.319
which good for him, I mean not really, but like
449
00:25:16.759 --> 00:25:18.640
some people just fight and fight. It's like is it
450
00:25:18.680 --> 00:25:20.680
worth it? I don't know, Actually, don't listen to me.
451
00:25:20.839 --> 00:25:23.400
So since everything was left to Stacy, she ended up
452
00:25:23.440 --> 00:25:27.440
taking over the HVAC business, you know, David's business, and
453
00:25:27.599 --> 00:25:31.799
things were slowly getting back to normal. I guess while
454
00:25:31.799 --> 00:25:36.160
there was this one detective his name was Detective Spinelli,
455
00:25:36.400 --> 00:25:38.680
which side note I know, wasn't that the girl's name
456
00:25:38.720 --> 00:25:43.279
on that cartoon Recess Spinelli. Anyways, this detective he was
457
00:25:43.319 --> 00:25:46.240
smelling something funky going on. I mean, he deep inside
458
00:25:46.279 --> 00:25:49.480
believed that David's death was not a suicide but maybe
459
00:25:49.640 --> 00:25:52.319
uh a murder. So he's like, you know what, I'm
460
00:25:52.319 --> 00:25:54.680
gonna do some digging on my own time. And I
461
00:25:54.720 --> 00:25:57.559
love that, right, And that's when he decides, you know what,
462
00:25:57.599 --> 00:25:59.680
who I should reach out to first? I should reach
463
00:25:59.680 --> 00:26:02.640
out to Stacy's first husband, Michael, you know, maybe he
464
00:26:02.640 --> 00:26:05.319
can give me some answers, and that's when he finds
465
00:26:05.319 --> 00:26:10.240
out that he can't because Michael too is dead. Ooh,
466
00:26:10.279 --> 00:26:14.599
you're in trouble. So Detective Spinelli he reached out to
467
00:26:14.720 --> 00:26:19.160
investigators who handled Michael Wallace's death and that's when he
468
00:26:19.279 --> 00:26:24.079
realized there were a lot of similarities going on, a surprising,
469
00:26:24.200 --> 00:26:27.039
out of nowhere death to both of these men. So
470
00:26:27.200 --> 00:26:32.559
Detective is like, thish, I mean, did she kill her husbands? Now?
471
00:26:32.559 --> 00:26:35.880
Because there was no autopsy report for Michael, the only
472
00:26:36.039 --> 00:26:39.400
way they could like dig a little deeper into this
473
00:26:39.720 --> 00:26:43.720
theory was by exhuoming Michael's body and actually, like you know,
474
00:26:43.920 --> 00:26:47.480
do an autopsy on him. So they exume Michael's body,
475
00:26:47.599 --> 00:26:50.480
they get a toxicology report after they exhume his body,
476
00:26:50.920 --> 00:26:53.599
and when it comes back, it tested positive for a
477
00:26:53.680 --> 00:26:57.519
presence of anti freeze in the body. Yeah, and Michael's
478
00:26:57.559 --> 00:27:01.680
body the first husband. I'm noticing theme here, right. You see.
479
00:27:01.680 --> 00:27:05.400
Anti freeze poisoning can be identified within the body by
480
00:27:05.440 --> 00:27:09.079
the growth of calcium oxalate crystals, and this happens within
481
00:27:09.119 --> 00:27:12.279
the kidneys. And these crystals were found and not only
482
00:27:12.319 --> 00:27:19.640
Michael's body, but also in David's body. Aha, right, Stacy,
483
00:27:21.440 --> 00:27:24.680
what are you doing? Girl? So the detective orders his
484
00:27:24.720 --> 00:27:28.279
team to have Stacy's house wire tapped. Now, they wanted
485
00:27:28.319 --> 00:27:31.000
to listen to any phone calls made from within the home,
486
00:27:31.440 --> 00:27:35.440
any unusual conversations, you know all that. He also ordered
487
00:27:35.440 --> 00:27:37.599
for the team to set up cameras that were facing
488
00:27:37.720 --> 00:27:41.480
towards Stacy's home and also at the grave sites of
489
00:27:41.559 --> 00:27:44.599
both Michael and David. I mean, they were really hoping
490
00:27:44.599 --> 00:27:48.039
to catch any odd or unusual behavior on her end, right,
491
00:27:48.279 --> 00:27:51.279
and they did. It's not funny. They didn't catch anything
492
00:27:51.359 --> 00:27:56.000
unusual other than the fact that Stacy never visited their graves.
493
00:27:58.160 --> 00:27:59.880
This fuck it, bitch, right, she put them next to
494
00:28:00.079 --> 00:28:03.799
each other at least pretend bitch shit Like damn, she
495
00:28:03.799 --> 00:28:08.240
couldn't even go once. So then on September seventh, of
496
00:28:08.240 --> 00:28:11.119
like two thousand and seven, so it's quite sometimes gone by,
497
00:28:11.839 --> 00:28:15.200
Stacy was brought in for questioning. Now the investigators are
498
00:28:15.240 --> 00:28:18.519
asking her. They're showing a picture of the nightstand, do
499
00:28:18.559 --> 00:28:20.799
you remember which glass it was that you poured the
500
00:28:20.880 --> 00:28:24.440
cranberry juice in? And she looks at the photographs of
501
00:28:24.519 --> 00:28:28.799
the glasses and she responded with this is a quote. Well,
502
00:28:28.960 --> 00:28:33.400
I poured the anti free I mean, and then she
503
00:28:33.440 --> 00:28:37.799
stopped and said, I mean, I mean the cranberry juice,
504
00:28:38.200 --> 00:28:40.880
like we're in a Scooby Doo show. She had a
505
00:28:40.960 --> 00:28:45.440
slip up, you know, I just she did that. She
506
00:28:45.480 --> 00:28:48.240
said that, that's what she said. Naturally, because the detective
507
00:28:48.279 --> 00:28:50.640
isn't an idiot, he picked he picked up on that,
508
00:28:51.039 --> 00:28:53.000
and he called her on it. He's like, what'd you
509
00:28:53.039 --> 00:28:56.559
just say the anti free? Stacy in return, accused them
510
00:28:56.559 --> 00:28:59.200
of trying to frame her, and she demanded the interview.
511
00:28:59.240 --> 00:29:01.799
We stopped and she told them I'm not answering any
512
00:29:01.880 --> 00:29:04.799
more questions. She got up, she was about to leave
513
00:29:04.839 --> 00:29:07.559
the room and she looked at the their stack of
514
00:29:07.599 --> 00:29:11.440
photographs the detective had right, and she saw one photograph
515
00:29:11.599 --> 00:29:14.119
on his pile of papers, and it was an image
516
00:29:14.160 --> 00:29:16.839
of the Turkey baster from her trash can. And before
517
00:29:16.880 --> 00:29:18.960
leaving the room, she looks, She's like, what do you
518
00:29:19.000 --> 00:29:21.559
have that for? What's that for? Like, just in a
519
00:29:21.680 --> 00:29:24.799
really aggressive way, what is that? What is that put?
520
00:29:24.839 --> 00:29:27.599
In response, the detective said, like, are you answering questions
521
00:29:27.640 --> 00:29:29.559
or not? He was a sassy bitch and I was
522
00:29:29.599 --> 00:29:33.160
here for it. Obviously she stormed out, but she was
523
00:29:33.480 --> 00:29:36.240
very upset about something. Police kept their eyes on the
524
00:29:36.319 --> 00:29:39.440
cameras and the wired tap at the family home, and
525
00:29:39.480 --> 00:29:41.799
Stacy was making a round of phone calls to friends,
526
00:29:41.839 --> 00:29:43.519
and she was just like going on and on, like
527
00:29:43.759 --> 00:29:45.640
I can't believe they think I'm involved. I can't believe
528
00:29:45.640 --> 00:29:48.559
they think I did this. I'm just shocked. I don't
529
00:29:48.559 --> 00:29:50.359
know what to do, Like why would they blame me?
530
00:29:51.039 --> 00:29:52.920
Do you know? She was just complaining on all the
531
00:29:52.920 --> 00:29:56.200
phone calls, like how could they even think this? Why
532
00:29:56.200 --> 00:29:59.079
would they even think this? I'm a victim, And her
533
00:29:59.079 --> 00:30:01.119
friends are like, I don't know. The stays like, just
534
00:30:01.160 --> 00:30:03.720
play it cool, girl, Everything's gonna be fine, girl, I
535
00:30:03.799 --> 00:30:09.359
believe you. While investigators decide to question Stacy's daughters, so
536
00:30:09.799 --> 00:30:13.839
they end up locating Ashley, remember the oldest daughter. They
537
00:30:13.920 --> 00:30:16.599
end up locating her and ask if they can, you know,
538
00:30:16.799 --> 00:30:20.279
ask a few questions about her relationship with her mother
539
00:30:20.359 --> 00:30:25.240
and father, and if she noticed anything unusual with Michael's death,
540
00:30:25.680 --> 00:30:28.160
her biological father. She's like no, like nothing at all,
541
00:30:28.160 --> 00:30:30.279
Like why would you even think them? She was becoming
542
00:30:30.839 --> 00:30:34.960
pretty defensive, which is understandable because like, why are they
543
00:30:35.039 --> 00:30:37.400
questioning her out of nowhere, and she just felt like
544
00:30:37.440 --> 00:30:40.359
it was straight up disrespectful that the authorities are even
545
00:30:40.440 --> 00:30:43.599
asking her anything like this. But also she was upset
546
00:30:43.640 --> 00:30:47.440
because they had located and questioned her on her first
547
00:30:47.720 --> 00:30:51.039
day of college. It's like her first day of school
548
00:30:51.160 --> 00:30:53.359
at a new college and they find her a stop
549
00:30:53.400 --> 00:30:57.000
her and question her like in the in front of Hello,
550
00:30:57.279 --> 00:31:00.400
you know, like that's a bear scene. So she was
551
00:31:01.079 --> 00:31:04.200
not really open to answering questions. As soon as the
552
00:31:04.240 --> 00:31:07.039
authorities left, though, the first thing she did she picked
553
00:31:07.119 --> 00:31:10.039
up her phone and she called her mom, Stacy, and
554
00:31:10.079 --> 00:31:12.759
she tells her mom she's like, look, mo, the authorities,
555
00:31:12.799 --> 00:31:16.880
Like you can tell she's very shaken up and sad.
556
00:31:17.319 --> 00:31:20.079
Just you know, when you're like so irritated and annoyed
557
00:31:20.079 --> 00:31:22.839
that you start crying. Is like that, like she's crying,
558
00:31:22.880 --> 00:31:25.759
but like you could tell she's just anyways, So she's
559
00:31:25.759 --> 00:31:27.519
telling her mom, She's like, they came to my school.
560
00:31:27.559 --> 00:31:29.880
They questioned me, like how could they do this? And
561
00:31:29.960 --> 00:31:33.200
Stacy's on the other end like what, Oh my gosh,
562
00:31:33.480 --> 00:31:36.079
She's just all like shocked that this would even happen.
563
00:31:36.160 --> 00:31:38.119
So Ashley is just on the phone venting to her
564
00:31:38.160 --> 00:31:41.559
mom all upset, all frustrated, and her mom says, you
565
00:31:41.599 --> 00:31:45.559
know what's sweetie, sweetie, you know what, look, just come home.
566
00:31:46.000 --> 00:31:48.759
We both had a rough week. Let's both just like
567
00:31:48.839 --> 00:31:51.960
get drunk. And this is what her mom says to Ashley,
568
00:31:52.039 --> 00:31:55.000
her daughter. In later interviews, she says she was like,
569
00:31:55.039 --> 00:31:58.240
oh cool, oh cool, yeah, like she low KEI thought
570
00:31:58.279 --> 00:32:00.519
it was awesome that her mom was giving her mission
571
00:32:00.559 --> 00:32:03.440
to have some alcohol with her. She's still a teenager
572
00:32:03.480 --> 00:32:05.880
at this point or like not legal to drink, so
573
00:32:05.920 --> 00:32:08.799
it was, you know, pretty cool. She's like, oh cool,
574
00:32:08.839 --> 00:32:10.880
I'm gonna go drinking my mom. So she ends up
575
00:32:10.920 --> 00:32:13.599
going back to her mom's house. She has a couple
576
00:32:13.799 --> 00:32:16.519
I think maybe just one adult beverage with her, and
577
00:32:16.519 --> 00:32:18.559
then she ends up passing out at home and then
578
00:32:18.720 --> 00:32:20.680
she wakes up the next morning with like a full
579
00:32:20.720 --> 00:32:24.119
on hangover. Not fun, but it happens when you drink, right.
580
00:32:24.440 --> 00:32:27.319
So Stacy goes to school the next day and her
581
00:32:27.319 --> 00:32:30.599
mom calls her again. Stacy calls to invite her daughter
582
00:32:30.680 --> 00:32:33.720
back over. Come over and have a drink with me again.
583
00:32:33.960 --> 00:32:36.799
You know it's time to relax, let some steam off.
584
00:32:36.880 --> 00:32:39.039
Maybe we can have a little drink for your birthday
585
00:32:39.119 --> 00:32:42.799
that's coming up a pre birthday cocktail, and Ashley wants
586
00:32:42.799 --> 00:32:45.400
to get is like, okay, it's her mom, that's her
587
00:32:45.400 --> 00:32:48.720
best friend. So it actually gets to her mom's house.
588
00:32:49.079 --> 00:32:51.640
The first thing Stacy does is offer her a drink.
589
00:32:51.920 --> 00:32:54.279
Ashley said, the first when she took a sip of
590
00:32:54.279 --> 00:32:57.240
that drink, it was really nasty tasting, you know, but
591
00:32:57.319 --> 00:32:59.519
she held onto it. She want to be rude, but
592
00:32:59.599 --> 00:33:01.039
she's like, I'm not going to keep drinking this. It
593
00:33:01.079 --> 00:33:03.720
tastes like crap. So Stacy's like, what's wrong. You don't
594
00:33:03.759 --> 00:33:06.680
like your drink and Ashley like, oh, it just doesn't
595
00:33:06.720 --> 00:33:10.359
taste very good. And Stacy's trying to tell Ashley, you know,
596
00:33:10.480 --> 00:33:13.839
like that's alcohol. It tastes like shit. So if you
597
00:33:13.920 --> 00:33:16.240
do this, and Stacy kind of shows her daughter a
598
00:33:16.319 --> 00:33:18.400
trick with the straw, you know, when you get liquid
599
00:33:18.480 --> 00:33:20.640
in the straw and then you pour it in your mouth.
600
00:33:21.559 --> 00:33:23.960
She's doing that to get the drink to the back
601
00:33:24.000 --> 00:33:26.559
of her throat so she could swallow it, which would
602
00:33:26.599 --> 00:33:29.559
then get her drunk without having to taste the alcohol.
603
00:33:29.720 --> 00:33:32.599
And she's like, oh cool, mom thinks. So Ashley ends
604
00:33:32.640 --> 00:33:36.240
up drinking it like that and she continues drinking because again,
605
00:33:37.319 --> 00:33:39.720
why not, it's her mom. Okay, it's her best friend.
606
00:33:39.759 --> 00:33:41.519
It was cool to hang out with her and act
607
00:33:41.599 --> 00:33:43.880
like an adult with her. Right now, this is the
608
00:33:43.880 --> 00:33:48.039
part that shook me to my core, bitch, because seventeen
609
00:33:48.079 --> 00:33:51.160
hours go by and her younger sister, Brie, came into
610
00:33:51.240 --> 00:33:54.119
Ashley's room, where she had knocked out for the night.
611
00:33:54.359 --> 00:33:57.839
She tries to wake up her sister and instead Ashley
612
00:33:58.519 --> 00:34:03.200
was unresponsive. Brie is yelling for her mom, you know, Stacy,
613
00:34:03.440 --> 00:34:05.640
She's yelling at her. Call Nia one, Call, Nila one.
614
00:34:05.680 --> 00:34:08.480
So Stacy made the call and told the dispatcher that
615
00:34:08.519 --> 00:34:12.880
Ashley was unresponsive, that she thought her daughter was having
616
00:34:12.920 --> 00:34:16.360
trouble breathing, and also that she believed her daughter had
617
00:34:16.400 --> 00:34:18.880
taken like a bunch of pills. She then is on
618
00:34:18.920 --> 00:34:21.719
the phone with a dispatcher and she's like, you can
619
00:34:21.760 --> 00:34:24.239
hear it in the recording. She's like, she drank an
620
00:34:24.400 --> 00:34:29.559
entire bottle of vodka. Oh, Ashley. Why. I hate to judge,
621
00:34:29.559 --> 00:34:31.960
but it's kind of calm for someone whose daughters like
622
00:34:32.159 --> 00:34:35.719
dying right there, you know. But then again, Stacy's seen
623
00:34:35.719 --> 00:34:37.840
a lot of deaths at this point, Brie runs out
624
00:34:37.880 --> 00:34:40.480
of Ashley's room. They make the phone called naima one.
625
00:34:40.880 --> 00:34:44.159
Brie runs back to Stacy's room and comes across a
626
00:34:44.280 --> 00:34:47.800
suicide letter. Oh yeah, and it was not far from Ashley. Now,
627
00:34:47.840 --> 00:34:50.639
this letter or note was typed. It was very long.
628
00:34:50.800 --> 00:34:53.119
There were no periods or punctuation at all, so it's
629
00:34:53.199 --> 00:34:58.199
just one like run on sentence. But while reading the letter,
630
00:34:58.239 --> 00:35:02.840
it appeared to be Ashley's quote unquote murder confession. In
631
00:35:02.920 --> 00:35:07.039
this letter, Ashley allegedly admitted to having killed her father
632
00:35:07.280 --> 00:35:11.440
and stepfather by putting anti freeze in both of their drinks,
633
00:35:11.719 --> 00:35:15.360
and also said that she gave Michael rat poison to
634
00:35:15.480 --> 00:35:20.239
quote finished the job, which there was actually rat poison
635
00:35:20.320 --> 00:35:24.719
found in Michael's autopsy report, so and like that was
636
00:35:24.760 --> 00:35:28.519
a public knowledge. In the letter, she also mentioned killing herself,
637
00:35:28.760 --> 00:35:31.679
killing her stepdad and her real dad, and said she
638
00:35:31.800 --> 00:35:35.840
did it for quote for her mother end quote. In
639
00:35:35.880 --> 00:35:38.480
the end, it said, quote now everyone is going to
640
00:35:38.519 --> 00:35:41.119
know what really happened, and they know it wasn't you,
641
00:35:41.559 --> 00:35:45.079
it was me. Please don't hate me, remember I love you.
642
00:35:45.559 --> 00:35:48.920
End quote. Well, the ambulance and all that arrived and
643
00:35:48.960 --> 00:35:51.360
they rushed Ashley to the hospital and it was like
644
00:35:51.400 --> 00:35:55.199
a pretty close call, but she ends up surviving recklessly.
645
00:35:55.360 --> 00:35:57.800
They ran some tests on her and they revealed that
646
00:35:57.840 --> 00:36:02.360
there was a potentially fatal amount of painkillers in Ashley's system,
647
00:36:03.000 --> 00:36:07.519
and if the paramedics arrived, like any minute later, she
648
00:36:07.679 --> 00:36:11.360
most likely could have died. So time passes, Ashley wakes
649
00:36:11.480 --> 00:36:14.800
up and she's all sorts of confused. Okay, she's like,
650
00:36:15.199 --> 00:36:18.360
she tells investigators, she has no idea what happened to her.
651
00:36:18.679 --> 00:36:21.320
She has little to know memory about the night before.
652
00:36:21.480 --> 00:36:23.760
Police when they did come in to question her, she
653
00:36:23.840 --> 00:36:26.280
said the last thing that she remembered was her mom
654
00:36:26.400 --> 00:36:28.719
giving her a drink, and then they mentioned, like, do
655
00:36:28.760 --> 00:36:31.920
you remember writing a suicide letter? She had no idea
656
00:36:31.920 --> 00:36:34.760
what they were talking about. She also told the officers
657
00:36:34.800 --> 00:36:38.239
that she didn't she never wrote a suicide note. She's like,
658
00:36:38.280 --> 00:36:39.760
I have no idea what you're talking about. This was
659
00:36:39.800 --> 00:36:43.559
all they needed investigators. They're like, Stacy's our bitch. She
660
00:36:43.760 --> 00:36:45.880
just I think she just tried to kill her daughter.
661
00:36:46.079 --> 00:36:47.840
Lucky for them, they wouldn't have to go far to
662
00:36:47.880 --> 00:36:51.519
find Stacy. She was right outside the door smoking and
663
00:36:51.559 --> 00:36:54.079
they placed around her. Arrest for the murder of David
664
00:36:54.159 --> 00:36:57.800
Castor and for attempting to murder Ashley and framing her
665
00:36:58.079 --> 00:37:00.719
for the murders of David and Michael. Yeah, this is
666
00:37:00.719 --> 00:37:03.320
a lot. Stacy was shocked. She's like, oh my god,
667
00:37:03.719 --> 00:37:08.320
you guys got this all wrong. I am Anna. Lee's naturally,
668
00:37:08.440 --> 00:37:13.599
Stacy pled not guilty, telling everyone, literally everyone who interviewed
669
00:37:13.639 --> 00:37:16.559
her or anything, that it was her daughter Ashley who
670
00:37:16.639 --> 00:37:20.760
killed everyone. She's like, hello, the letter. Could you imagine
671
00:37:20.800 --> 00:37:23.880
She's literally blaming her daughter. This is where I was like, what,
672
00:37:25.119 --> 00:37:28.840
huh what Now she's blaming her daughter. This is new.
673
00:37:29.199 --> 00:37:33.079
So Stacy's in jail waiting for her trial, right she's
674
00:37:33.360 --> 00:37:37.159
claiming to be innocent. So Stacy's team they hire private
675
00:37:37.199 --> 00:37:41.039
investigators to try and find the connection to Ashley, try
676
00:37:41.079 --> 00:37:43.920
to find the Ashley connection to the murders. So one
677
00:37:43.920 --> 00:37:46.119
thing they found was a letter. It was like an
678
00:37:46.119 --> 00:37:49.519
old letter to Ashley's boyfriend, both teenagers at the time,
679
00:37:49.679 --> 00:37:52.000
saying that she was going to kill herself. But that
680
00:37:52.119 --> 00:37:54.639
was like the only evidence they found, and to many
681
00:37:54.719 --> 00:37:58.320
it gave that dramatic teenager vibe. You know what I'm saying.
682
00:37:58.360 --> 00:38:00.760
When you're in a dramatic teen you're like oh, yil might
683
00:38:00.840 --> 00:38:03.800
want to die. It was giving that either way. The
684
00:38:03.880 --> 00:38:08.679
defense saw this as their like, gotcha, see, gotcha, she
685
00:38:08.880 --> 00:38:11.360
wanted to die everybody. But it didn't make a lot
686
00:38:11.400 --> 00:38:15.280
of sense that Ashley would have killed her father because
687
00:38:15.320 --> 00:38:18.880
at the time of his death, she was only twelve
688
00:38:19.000 --> 00:38:21.480
years old. So if she did do it, she would
689
00:38:21.559 --> 00:38:24.079
have to know at twelve years old about anti freeze
690
00:38:24.519 --> 00:38:27.320
and also rap poison and stuff. So it was kind
691
00:38:27.360 --> 00:38:30.840
of like, what kind of twelve year old knows that
692
00:38:32.000 --> 00:38:34.320
before the Internet and all that, you guys, I mean,
693
00:38:34.360 --> 00:38:37.079
the Internet was like still pretty new, but like still
694
00:38:37.480 --> 00:38:41.480
you know. So prosecutors they argued that the typed suicide
695
00:38:41.519 --> 00:38:45.280
note where Ashley quote unquote confesses to killing her father
696
00:38:45.800 --> 00:38:50.599
and stepfather was actually written by Stacy and not Ashley.
697
00:38:50.719 --> 00:38:55.480
On top of that, prosecutors found several drafts of Ashley's
698
00:38:55.519 --> 00:39:02.280
suicide note on Stacy's computer. Ain't that's some shit. I
699
00:39:02.360 --> 00:39:04.360
know this story is awful and bad, but the part
700
00:39:04.440 --> 00:39:07.719
that's just like blowing my mind still is the fact
701
00:39:07.800 --> 00:39:11.760
that this is her daughter. She's blaming her daughter. She
702
00:39:11.920 --> 00:39:15.559
tried to kill her daughter. Do you understand she tried
703
00:39:15.599 --> 00:39:19.440
to kill her daughter and blame it on her. Oh
704
00:39:20.559 --> 00:39:24.960
I just can't imagine. I just can't. I still cannot.
705
00:39:25.280 --> 00:39:27.000
I just want to punch this lady in the face,
706
00:39:27.039 --> 00:39:30.800
Like what are you doing? Lady? You could blame anyone else,
707
00:39:31.199 --> 00:39:33.039
You're not going to get away from it. But like literally,
708
00:39:33.079 --> 00:39:35.519
you can blame anybody else, but you blame your own kid,
709
00:39:36.239 --> 00:39:42.360
your favorite kid, your best friend. Mm mmmmm mmmmm mm mmm.
710
00:39:42.599 --> 00:39:45.679
There's some sickos out there. Sometimes they're your own mother.
711
00:39:45.840 --> 00:39:50.519
Oh that's so scary. Forensic investigators noted that the time
712
00:39:50.639 --> 00:39:54.960
stamps of the documents themselves had been written slash typed
713
00:39:55.559 --> 00:39:59.880
when Ashley was in school. Thank you for a time stamp, right,
714
00:40:00.280 --> 00:40:02.159
there was no way she could have typed it up.
715
00:40:02.400 --> 00:40:07.199
She's in school, ok. Plus, remember the wire tap recordings
716
00:40:07.960 --> 00:40:10.840
that the police had set up from Stacy's home. Well,
717
00:40:11.000 --> 00:40:13.719
this was all like it's a speculation, I'm not sure,
718
00:40:13.760 --> 00:40:16.480
but like, listen, in court, they play this one phone
719
00:40:16.519 --> 00:40:18.920
call that had taken place around the same time that
720
00:40:19.000 --> 00:40:22.000
the suicide letter was being typed up. Stacy made a
721
00:40:22.000 --> 00:40:25.800
phone call that was recording through the wire tap. While
722
00:40:25.800 --> 00:40:29.320
it's believed the suicide letter was being written or typed up,
723
00:40:29.400 --> 00:40:31.960
it was Stacy She's on the phone talking to a friend, which,
724
00:40:32.199 --> 00:40:35.920
mind you side note she was dating a new dude. Yeah,
725
00:40:35.960 --> 00:40:37.800
she was already dating a new dude. And they're talking
726
00:40:37.800 --> 00:40:39.760
on the phone like, m maybe I can't wait to
727
00:40:39.800 --> 00:40:41.400
see you. Oh, what do you want me to wear?
728
00:40:41.559 --> 00:40:44.800
Oh she's got beer flavored nipples or something, you know
729
00:40:44.800 --> 00:40:47.559
what I'm saying. Anyways, but on this call, you could
730
00:40:47.599 --> 00:40:53.639
hear in the background typing noises and like. So they
731
00:40:53.639 --> 00:40:55.119
played it in court and they're like, what are you
732
00:40:55.159 --> 00:40:58.639
typing around this exact time stamp that the suicide letter
733
00:40:58.760 --> 00:41:00.639
was typed up? Can you let us know? She's like,
734
00:41:00.679 --> 00:41:03.239
I don't know. I wasn't typing. She was just being
735
00:41:03.280 --> 00:41:05.880
a little shit on the stand. I don't know anything.
736
00:41:06.039 --> 00:41:10.639
I know nothing. I didn't do it. Anna and Prosecution
737
00:41:11.000 --> 00:41:13.599
argued that Stacy was writing one of the drafts of
738
00:41:13.639 --> 00:41:19.360
Ashley's suicide note during the call. The note itself contained
739
00:41:19.559 --> 00:41:23.400
Stacy's fingerprints on it, but not a single print of
740
00:41:23.519 --> 00:41:27.800
Ashley's was on the page. Now that's a little funky,
741
00:41:27.880 --> 00:41:30.960
ain't it should, we could agree prosecutors. They were out
742
00:41:31.000 --> 00:41:34.960
to prove that Ashley's suicide attempt quote nquote was actually
743
00:41:35.039 --> 00:41:39.599
another murder planned by Stacy. Prosecutors believe Stacy saw the
744
00:41:39.679 --> 00:41:43.599
evidence of her two husband's murders. You know, there's earned
745
00:41:43.599 --> 00:41:46.320
a stack up, and she's like, oh fuck. And like
746
00:41:46.440 --> 00:41:48.960
when she learned that the police had exhumed her first
747
00:41:49.000 --> 00:41:52.519
husband's body and she found out that they found traces
748
00:41:52.519 --> 00:41:55.760
of anti freeze in his system, she most likely panicked
749
00:41:55.840 --> 00:41:58.159
and realized she needed to come up with a plan
750
00:41:58.880 --> 00:42:02.920
to protect herself. So she comes up with this one. Wow.
751
00:42:03.039 --> 00:42:05.719
So Ashley ends up in court. She ends up taking
752
00:42:05.719 --> 00:42:08.880
the stand, and she recounted how her mother had convinced
753
00:42:08.880 --> 00:42:11.800
her to drink the two nights before she almost died,
754
00:42:12.199 --> 00:42:15.840
and the only reason she drank the quote unquote nasty
755
00:42:15.880 --> 00:42:19.280
tasty drink was because she trusted her mom was her
756
00:42:19.280 --> 00:42:21.559
best friend. There was a lot of things presented in
757
00:42:21.599 --> 00:42:24.519
court that still like didn't make sense and didn't have
758
00:42:24.719 --> 00:42:28.800
clear answers to Like the glass that was found next
759
00:42:28.840 --> 00:42:34.559
to David on the nightstand was missing his fingerprints right. Also,
760
00:42:34.719 --> 00:42:37.039
how the turkey baser that they found in the kitchen
761
00:42:37.119 --> 00:42:41.079
trash had both David's DNA and traces of anti freeze
762
00:42:41.119 --> 00:42:43.679
on it, and the DNA on the turkey baster and
763
00:42:43.719 --> 00:42:48.079
the lack of David's fingerprints on the glass suggested that
764
00:42:48.239 --> 00:42:52.239
David was force fed anti freeze, you know, rather than
765
00:42:52.280 --> 00:42:55.440
like willingly take it. You know, it's all just what's
766
00:42:55.480 --> 00:42:58.840
it called speculation theories, ideas. I think we can all
767
00:42:58.880 --> 00:43:02.960
get behind it. So prosecutors presented a timeline that suggested
768
00:43:03.400 --> 00:43:07.280
Stacy had been feeding her husband the anti freeze with
769
00:43:07.360 --> 00:43:10.400
the turkey baster for four days in order to make
770
00:43:10.400 --> 00:43:13.719
it look like a suicide. So she was like squirting
771
00:43:13.760 --> 00:43:17.079
it in there, you know, most likely wearing gloves. Stacy
772
00:43:17.639 --> 00:43:22.480
countered the argument, claiming David got the idea to commit suicide.
773
00:43:22.800 --> 00:43:25.639
Wait for this, she said, David got the idea to
774
00:43:25.679 --> 00:43:29.360
commit suicide by Auntie freeze while they were both watching
775
00:43:29.440 --> 00:43:34.360
some kind of like dateline situation about Lynn Turner. Do
776
00:43:34.440 --> 00:43:36.599
you know about Lynn Turner? Out? Let me tell you
777
00:43:36.599 --> 00:43:39.159
about Lynn Turner. Miss Lynn Turner over here. She got
778
00:43:39.159 --> 00:43:42.079
the nickname the Black Widow, which I find like a
779
00:43:42.119 --> 00:43:44.360
lot of killers and stuff kind of get that titled,
780
00:43:44.360 --> 00:43:47.440
don't they. So Lynn Turner she got the nickname black
781
00:43:47.480 --> 00:43:55.519
Widow because she murdered two past lovers by using anti freeze.
782
00:43:55.760 --> 00:43:58.519
This dumb bitch, she's like, yeah, that's how he got
783
00:43:58.519 --> 00:44:02.960
the idea from a woman, the black widow. He's like,
784
00:44:03.000 --> 00:44:05.719
that looks fun, I'm gonna do that. Yeah, that's what
785
00:44:05.760 --> 00:44:08.639
he said. This is what she's running with. M m mmm,
786
00:44:08.920 --> 00:44:12.880
like what do you even say? Okay, I'm sure you
787
00:44:12.920 --> 00:44:17.199
were watching that, Stacy, But all right, So prosecutors believed
788
00:44:17.320 --> 00:44:21.679
one of the main motives was money. You know, it
789
00:44:21.679 --> 00:44:24.719
always seems to be money goes on it. So they
790
00:44:24.760 --> 00:44:29.000
believe that, you know, Stacy murdered her husbands to collect
791
00:44:29.079 --> 00:44:33.840
their life insurance and like their states Michael's death, Stacy
792
00:44:33.960 --> 00:44:38.039
got fifty k fifty to fifty five thousand. Stacy also
793
00:44:38.320 --> 00:44:42.159
had David's will changed to exclude his son from a
794
00:44:42.199 --> 00:44:46.599
previous marriage, leaving her three hundred thousand dollars as the
795
00:44:46.760 --> 00:44:50.119
sole beneficiary. And David he was pretty well off, like
796
00:44:50.159 --> 00:44:55.400
he had motorcycles, jet ski snowmobiles, a house of business,
797
00:44:55.639 --> 00:45:00.280
and all of that went to Stacy. So could be
798
00:45:00.320 --> 00:45:04.000
a good motive, right. Stacy's defense team had the task
799
00:45:04.079 --> 00:45:07.920
of creating reasonable doubt. Doubt I don't know why I
800
00:45:07.920 --> 00:45:10.880
said it like that. I'm feeling saucy today, So they
801
00:45:10.920 --> 00:45:13.960
tried to make it seem that even at the age
802
00:45:14.000 --> 00:45:18.280
of twelve, young Ashley still could have killed her father.
803
00:45:18.519 --> 00:45:20.760
They said her motive for killing him was the fact
804
00:45:20.760 --> 00:45:24.239
that she was jealous of the favoritism he showed her
805
00:45:24.519 --> 00:45:28.119
younger sister Breet over her. That's why she did it.
806
00:45:28.199 --> 00:45:32.199
The defense team noted that Ashley and David's relationship was
807
00:45:32.320 --> 00:45:35.000
you know rocky, and how it was no secret the
808
00:45:35.000 --> 00:45:37.360
two did not get along. I mean, the defense was
809
00:45:37.400 --> 00:45:42.320
pretty convincing. They even had Stacy's mother, Judy, the girl's grandma,
810
00:45:42.639 --> 00:45:46.719
believing that her granddaughter had committed the murders. Could you
811
00:45:46.760 --> 00:45:52.199
imagine your teenage self angry diary being like taken into
812
00:45:52.360 --> 00:45:54.639
court and read. You know, when you're a teenager, you're
813
00:45:54.719 --> 00:45:57.000
so engsty and just mad at everyone and everything, and
814
00:45:57.039 --> 00:45:59.599
you say the stupidest shit sometimes. I know my diary,
815
00:45:59.639 --> 00:46:03.760
I was like, I'm gonna fucking die and I hate everyone,
816
00:46:04.199 --> 00:46:06.880
And if that ever got read in court, I would
817
00:46:07.320 --> 00:46:10.519
just cry and shit my pants. But they were using
818
00:46:10.559 --> 00:46:14.800
this as a gospel, like her her teenage notes and shit.
819
00:46:15.119 --> 00:46:18.239
So many felt like there were many flaws in Stacy's
820
00:46:18.360 --> 00:46:21.079
version of the night. Stacy had claimed that it was
821
00:46:21.079 --> 00:46:24.840
her daughter Ashley who had murdered both her husbands, and
822
00:46:24.880 --> 00:46:27.320
while she couldn't prove any type of motive for her
823
00:46:27.400 --> 00:46:30.920
daughter's actions, she implied it was probably because her daughter
824
00:46:31.000 --> 00:46:34.000
was mentally ill. And then the prosecutors also pointed out
825
00:46:34.039 --> 00:46:39.719
the impossible coincidence that Ashley confessed to the murder when
826
00:46:40.039 --> 00:46:43.599
David's death was ruled a suicide. Does that make sense
827
00:46:43.599 --> 00:46:45.840
because at first didn't click for me, because David's death
828
00:46:45.880 --> 00:46:48.000
was ruled a suicide, So why would she say it
829
00:46:48.039 --> 00:46:52.159
was murder? You know? Does that make sense? The prosecutor
830
00:46:52.199 --> 00:46:55.679
said something in court, like, isn't it an amazing coincidence
831
00:46:55.719 --> 00:46:59.400
that a guy who was thinking about suicide is being
832
00:46:59.559 --> 00:47:03.679
murdered at the same time Stacy? Anything? Was it? And
833
00:47:03.719 --> 00:47:06.360
Stacy's just like, I don't know, I don't know, I
834
00:47:06.360 --> 00:47:08.760
don't know. She didn't know anything. What did I was like, girl,
835
00:47:08.760 --> 00:47:10.519
what do you know? At this point? Do you know
836
00:47:10.559 --> 00:47:15.079
your name? For Christ's sakes, she knew, she knew. Don't lie, girl.
837
00:47:15.440 --> 00:47:18.760
I was kind of shook if that. Stacy even took
838
00:47:18.760 --> 00:47:20.400
the stand in the first place, you know, in her
839
00:47:20.400 --> 00:47:24.840
own defense, and she still pointed the finger at her daughter, Ashley,
840
00:47:25.119 --> 00:47:27.239
And it's like her daughter was right there in the court.
841
00:47:29.239 --> 00:47:32.119
Could you imagine the betrayal, the hurt, the feelings you
842
00:47:32.119 --> 00:47:34.440
would have, Oh my god, that would be just I
843
00:47:34.519 --> 00:47:39.880
just couldn't imagine. Anyways, many were kind of believing Stacy's
844
00:47:39.880 --> 00:47:42.280
side of the story, but all evidence was pointing of
845
00:47:42.280 --> 00:47:46.079
fucking Stacy. Okay, listen, if you don't if you don't
846
00:47:46.079 --> 00:47:49.559
think it's Stacy, then you're idiot. Anyways, But on February fifth,
847
00:47:49.559 --> 00:47:52.760
two thousand and nine, the jerry found Stacy guilty of
848
00:47:52.840 --> 00:47:56.119
second degree murder in the poisoning death of David Caster,
849
00:47:56.800 --> 00:48:00.639
and of attempted second degree murder for overdosing her daughter
850
00:48:01.519 --> 00:48:05.920
Ashley with vodka and drugs. I mean, then, god, Stacy
851
00:48:06.039 --> 00:48:09.599
was found guilty. But her poor daughters, they don't have
852
00:48:09.639 --> 00:48:12.199
fathers or a fucking mom because her mom is a
853
00:48:12.239 --> 00:48:15.159
piece of shit anyway, So Ashley she ended up giving
854
00:48:15.159 --> 00:48:17.280
a statement at the end, going on to say that
855
00:48:17.440 --> 00:48:20.599
she never knew what hate was until now. She's like,
856
00:48:20.639 --> 00:48:23.079
I still love her, but at the same time, like
857
00:48:23.119 --> 00:48:25.920
I hate her, and it's just so confusing. And in
858
00:48:26.000 --> 00:48:29.320
the end, all she wanted was for her mom to
859
00:48:29.360 --> 00:48:33.199
say sorry for everything she did, including all of the lies.
860
00:48:33.639 --> 00:48:35.840
But Stacy never did. It was really sad. I mean
861
00:48:35.880 --> 00:48:39.280
the fact that, like Ashley was giving this really touching
862
00:48:39.719 --> 00:48:42.639
statement to the court, like talking directly to her mom,
863
00:48:42.920 --> 00:48:45.760
her mom wouldn't even look at her, didn't even like
864
00:48:46.280 --> 00:48:49.639
even address her own daughter. I just I still can't
865
00:48:49.639 --> 00:48:51.960
get over that. I still can't get over that. I
866
00:48:51.960 --> 00:48:55.039
can't believe she's that heartless. That's so sad. So the
867
00:48:55.119 --> 00:48:58.079
judge told Stacy that he had never before seen a
868
00:48:58.320 --> 00:49:01.800
parent attempt to murder their child in order to set
869
00:49:01.800 --> 00:49:05.599
their child up for a crime they themselves committed. I mean,
870
00:49:05.679 --> 00:49:07.960
it was really mind blowing, right. But in the end,
871
00:49:08.039 --> 00:49:10.559
Stacy was sentenced to twenty five years to life for
872
00:49:10.599 --> 00:49:14.079
the murder of David and an additional twenty five years
873
00:49:14.079 --> 00:49:17.400
to life for the attempted murder of Ashley. So when
874
00:49:17.440 --> 00:49:20.039
Stacy was sentenced, she was forty one at the time,
875
00:49:20.199 --> 00:49:22.760
so pretty much it was like a rest of her
876
00:49:22.840 --> 00:49:25.920
life sentence, you know, hold on, let me put on
877
00:49:25.920 --> 00:49:29.639
my lip. Stacy was placed in Bedford Hill's Correctional Facility
878
00:49:29.639 --> 00:49:33.000
for Women in Bedford Hills, New York, and her earliest
879
00:49:33.239 --> 00:49:38.320
possible release date is June fifteenth, twenty fifty five, and
880
00:49:38.360 --> 00:49:40.719
that would be like just after her eighty eighth birthday
881
00:49:41.079 --> 00:49:44.880
June July. On's her birthday July June. I can't remember,
882
00:49:44.960 --> 00:49:47.760
but it'd be around then. Guess what. In two thousand
883
00:49:47.760 --> 00:49:50.599
and nine, you know, good Old twenty twenty came through.
884
00:49:50.920 --> 00:49:52.920
They did a story on this case and they were
885
00:49:52.960 --> 00:49:56.239
even able to interview Stacy. During the interview, Stacy even
886
00:49:56.239 --> 00:49:59.639
went on to say, Ashley brought this on. Ashley really
887
00:49:59.679 --> 00:50:04.039
knows what happened. Yeah, she's still still I was like, girl,
888
00:50:04.280 --> 00:50:07.039
what the fuck? But Stacy said she felt bad for
889
00:50:07.079 --> 00:50:10.119
her younger daughter, Brite, saying that she was the innocent
890
00:50:10.239 --> 00:50:11.880
victim in all of it. Don't you just want to
891
00:50:11.920 --> 00:50:14.519
slap this woman in the fucking face, puncher, give her
892
00:50:14.519 --> 00:50:17.559
a nose bleeds something like what? Anyways, after the trial,
893
00:50:17.679 --> 00:50:20.800
neither of their daughters spoke to their mom again. Neither
894
00:50:20.800 --> 00:50:23.119
of them spoke to their mom again. That was just it.
895
00:50:23.280 --> 00:50:26.199
All they wanted was an apology and they never got one.
896
00:50:26.480 --> 00:50:29.519
Isn't that awful? In twenty ten, it was confirmed that
897
00:50:29.559 --> 00:50:34.039
there was an investigation going into the death of Stacy's father.
898
00:50:34.360 --> 00:50:36.719
His name was Jerry Daniels, so he died in two
899
00:50:36.719 --> 00:50:41.039
thousand and two and Stacy's father, Jerry, had been hospitalized
900
00:50:41.559 --> 00:50:45.199
for some kind of lung ailment and was on the
901
00:50:45.239 --> 00:50:47.559
road to recovery. Like he was even scheduled to be
902
00:50:47.679 --> 00:50:51.760
released in a couple of days, right, so Stacy she
903
00:50:51.800 --> 00:50:54.159
had come by to visit him in the hospital on
904
00:50:54.239 --> 00:50:57.480
February twenty six of two thousand and two, And it
905
00:50:57.519 --> 00:51:00.400
was reported when Stacy came, she brought like a drink
906
00:51:00.440 --> 00:51:03.760
for him, and they believe when she came in, the
907
00:51:03.840 --> 00:51:12.599
can was open, and the very next day Jerry suddenly died. Yeah.
908
00:51:12.880 --> 00:51:16.119
With the After his death, Stacy became the executor of
909
00:51:16.159 --> 00:51:19.920
his estate, and she also made sure her father's remains
910
00:51:20.440 --> 00:51:22.840
or cremated. Can you believe that? Now? I was trying
911
00:51:22.840 --> 00:51:25.119
to figure out if this case was still open or closed.
912
00:51:25.239 --> 00:51:28.559
I couldn't find anything. Plus I don't know because listen.
913
00:51:28.920 --> 00:51:32.719
June eleventh, twenty sixteen, Sorry, my hair's really tingled and
914
00:51:32.960 --> 00:51:34.840
just kind of gross. Just trying to look you for
915
00:51:34.880 --> 00:51:39.199
you guys. June eleventh, twenty sixteen, only seven years into
916
00:51:39.400 --> 00:51:43.320
her sentence seven years, Stacy was found dead in her
917
00:51:43.400 --> 00:51:46.079
jail cell at the age of forty eight. It was
918
00:51:46.159 --> 00:51:48.880
later determined she died of a heart attack with no
919
00:51:48.960 --> 00:51:54.119
evidence of suicide or of foul play. Life will get you, huh.
920
00:51:54.280 --> 00:51:56.280
I'd like. It's kind of bittersweet at the same time,
921
00:51:56.320 --> 00:51:58.239
I want her to live forever just in jail, because
922
00:51:58.239 --> 00:52:01.840
I feel like that's like torture. And you would hope
923
00:52:02.719 --> 00:52:06.079
one day she would apologize to her kids because she died.
924
00:52:06.559 --> 00:52:09.119
The kids never got an apology. I don't know if
925
00:52:09.119 --> 00:52:11.039
they would ever get one because it seems like the
926
00:52:11.159 --> 00:52:14.480
Stacy is a fucking loon. It's really sad. I feel
927
00:52:14.960 --> 00:52:17.800
really bad for the kids. I mean, they're grown now.
928
00:52:18.039 --> 00:52:21.440
I hope they're doing well and not giving up, because
929
00:52:21.440 --> 00:52:24.719
that's exactly what their mom would want, you know what
930
00:52:24.760 --> 00:52:27.400
I'm saying. Lifetime ended up doing like a movie about
931
00:52:27.440 --> 00:52:31.519
this story as well. It was called Poisoned Love the
932
00:52:31.760 --> 00:52:36.320
Stacey Castor's Story. It's on my to watch list, But
933
00:52:36.360 --> 00:52:37.679
do I need to watch it at this point, I
934
00:52:37.719 --> 00:52:40.320
don't know. You can also watch the court trial of
935
00:52:40.360 --> 00:52:43.880
Stacy and all that, like her on the stand, which
936
00:52:43.920 --> 00:52:48.800
is interesting to watch because she just she just lies.
937
00:52:50.000 --> 00:52:54.239
Ah that, my friends, is the story about Stacey Castor.
938
00:52:54.880 --> 00:52:58.119
I don't know what to call her. An actual demon,
939
00:52:58.599 --> 00:53:01.079
I've heard this story before, but when I was actually
940
00:53:01.559 --> 00:53:03.480
kind of digging more into it, it just really sacked
941
00:53:03.480 --> 00:53:07.239
because I was like, damn, she really blamed her own
942
00:53:07.320 --> 00:53:12.880
kid and then tried to kill her kid. Oh my god,
943
00:53:12.960 --> 00:53:15.800
could you I cannot imagine this. I cannot imagine this
944
00:53:15.840 --> 00:53:18.679
ever happening. And it did, and it was like sickening ill.
945
00:53:19.159 --> 00:53:20.920
I'm glad she's dead. I'm sorry I said it. Does
946
00:53:20.960 --> 00:53:22.960
she kill her father? Let me know down below in
947
00:53:22.960 --> 00:53:26.199
the comment section, I would say probably yes, and what
948
00:53:26.239 --> 00:53:28.800
the fuck was wrong with that woman? I'm glad she
949
00:53:28.960 --> 00:53:31.800
was put down. Let me know your guys' thoughts down
950
00:53:32.000 --> 00:53:34.360
below if you have any I've been doing a lot
951
00:53:34.360 --> 00:53:37.719
of woman killers lately. Yeah huh, I've been on one.
952
00:53:37.760 --> 00:53:39.599
Thank you guys so much for hanging out with me today.
953
00:53:39.639 --> 00:53:41.519
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.
954
00:53:42.039 --> 00:53:45.800
I feel cute. I'm gonna go on a date with myself.
955
00:53:46.039 --> 00:53:47.960
Would I say, have good day and make it choices.
956
00:53:48.199 --> 00:53:49.519
Let me know down below who you want me to
957
00:53:49.519 --> 00:53:52.440
talk about next week, But other than that, I'll be
958
00:53:52.800 --> 00:54:04.440
seeing you guys later. Goodbye.
1
00:00:00.160 --> 00:00:03.560
Hi, friends, how are you today? Oh my god great,
2
00:00:03.839 --> 00:00:06.839
I am really sweaty. I feel like a swamp monster
3
00:00:07.799 --> 00:00:10.759
and I'm here and it's Monday, and today is murder,
4
00:00:10.880 --> 00:00:14.679
Mystery and makeup Monday. If you're new here, Hi, my
5
00:00:14.759 --> 00:00:18.039
name is Bailey Sarien. And I sit down on Mondays
6
00:00:18.079 --> 00:00:21.079
and I talk about a true crime story that's been
7
00:00:21.120 --> 00:00:25.519
heavy on my noggin and I do my makeup at
8
00:00:25.519 --> 00:00:28.160
the same time. If you're interested in true crime and
9
00:00:28.199 --> 00:00:29.920
you're like, hey, I kind of like I kind of
10
00:00:29.960 --> 00:00:32.399
like makeup, I would say, hit that subscribe button because
11
00:00:32.439 --> 00:00:36.079
I'm here for you on Mondays. You know, today I
12
00:00:36.159 --> 00:00:38.320
was like really thinking, really hard what makeup look I
13
00:00:38.399 --> 00:00:39.960
was gonna do, and I was kind of panicking. So
14
00:00:40.000 --> 00:00:42.159
I thought today I would do like I would use
15
00:00:42.159 --> 00:00:44.840
my personal this is my personal makeup act that I
16
00:00:44.920 --> 00:00:47.640
take home, like you know, and I thought I would
17
00:00:47.719 --> 00:00:49.880
just do my my favorite this has been like my
18
00:00:49.960 --> 00:00:53.719

nasty woman things and being awful, But this one had
22
00:01:06.920 --> 00:01:10.000

71
00:03:53.039 --> 00:03:56.120
Now let's get back to today's story. If you're curious
72
00:03:56.199 --> 00:03:59.000
to know what products I'm using, I'll list them down
73
00:03:59.120 --> 00:04:03.080
in the description down below. But other than that, I
74
00:04:03.159 --> 00:04:07.919
will stop rambling and let's get to the juicy story.
75
00:04:08.639 --> 00:04:10.840
I shouldn't say juicy, it's awful. I was gonna say
76
00:04:10.919 --> 00:04:13.879
juicy makeup, but whatever, Let's get to the story. Huh.
77
00:04:13.919 --> 00:04:18.199
Today's story is about Stacy Ruth Daniels, who was born
78
00:04:18.519 --> 00:04:23.319
July twenty fourth, nineteen sixty seven. Happy Birthday. I guess
79
00:04:23.519 --> 00:04:27.480
her parents were, you know, simple parents. Great. She grew
80
00:04:27.560 --> 00:04:31.439
up in Clay, New York, which is a pretty large,
81
00:04:31.480 --> 00:04:34.600
not pretty large, but like somewhat large, predominantly white, middle
82
00:04:34.600 --> 00:04:39.680
class suburb area just outside of Syracuse, New York. Now,
83
00:04:39.720 --> 00:04:43.120
Stacy came from like a good family, at least it seemed,
84
00:04:43.199 --> 00:04:46.319
you know, based off of what I read. But growing up,
85
00:04:46.360 --> 00:04:49.720
it was said Stacey was really intelligent and she really
86
00:04:49.759 --> 00:04:51.759
from a young age she wanted to get into law,
87
00:04:52.000 --> 00:04:53.800
and like she was really on her way to do so.
88
00:04:54.279 --> 00:04:56.160
She did well in school and like she was just
89
00:04:56.199 --> 00:04:59.519
really working towards that. I mean, that's always special, I
90
00:04:59.560 --> 00:05:02.839
feel like, because law ain't easy. Baby. So in nineteen
91
00:05:02.879 --> 00:05:06.079
eighty five, when Stacy was just seventeen, one of her
92
00:05:06.079 --> 00:05:09.279
friends had introduced her to a guy named Michael Wallace,
93
00:05:10.040 --> 00:05:13.879
and it was said that it was love at first sight.
94
00:05:14.199 --> 00:05:17.040
You know, Michael was just one of those guys who
95
00:05:17.480 --> 00:05:19.399
he was the party. When he showed up, you knew
96
00:05:19.439 --> 00:05:21.480
it was gonna be a good time. He was outgoing,
97
00:05:21.680 --> 00:05:25.319
he was very social, and he liked to party. Some
98
00:05:25.360 --> 00:05:28.199
would say he partied a little too hard, but you know,
99
00:05:28.560 --> 00:05:31.240
I'm not making excuses for it, because it just kind
100
00:05:31.240 --> 00:05:33.279
of seemed like he was going through that party phase
101
00:05:33.319 --> 00:05:35.759
you go through when you're a teenager or like in
102
00:05:35.800 --> 00:05:39.040
college or whatever. I don't know, drugs, alcohol, and you're
103
00:05:39.079 --> 00:05:43.000
just like doing that. Seemed like he was doing that.
104
00:05:43.120 --> 00:05:46.600
And in later interview, Stacy said that when she first
105
00:05:46.920 --> 00:05:49.519
met Michael, she knew like she was going to marry
106
00:05:49.600 --> 00:05:51.920
him within the first couple of minutes of meeting. It
107
00:05:52.000 --> 00:05:54.839
was just love at first sight, wasn't it. The two
108
00:05:54.839 --> 00:05:57.759
of them. They ended up dating for I think like
109
00:05:57.800 --> 00:06:00.519
two years, and then they had their first daughter, Ashley,
110
00:06:00.600 --> 00:06:03.000
in the year nineteen eighty seven, and then a year
111
00:06:03.079 --> 00:06:06.800
or two later, I'm not quite sure because it just
112
00:06:06.879 --> 00:06:09.519
wasn't clear, but a year or two later, the couple
113
00:06:09.560 --> 00:06:12.959
decided to get married, and they ended up getting married
114
00:06:13.040 --> 00:06:16.920
in Stacy's parents' home. That's where they held the ceremony.
115
00:06:17.439 --> 00:06:20.800
It was cute, it was wonderful. Everyone seemed happy. And
116
00:06:20.839 --> 00:06:23.639
then not long after, the family of three turned into
117
00:06:23.680 --> 00:06:26.800
a family of four when they welcomed their second daughter,
118
00:06:26.920 --> 00:06:31.040
Brie in nineteen ninety one. Stacy's mom, her name was Judy.
119
00:06:31.360 --> 00:06:33.839
She said that her daughter, she had been like the
120
00:06:33.920 --> 00:06:37.079
happiest she had ever been at least to her. She
121
00:06:37.160 --> 00:06:40.240
was like, wow, my daughter just seems to be the happiest.
122
00:06:40.519 --> 00:06:43.879
During this time, Stacy had worked for an ambulance dispatch
123
00:06:43.959 --> 00:06:47.959
company while Michael he worked nights as a mechanic. They
124
00:06:48.040 --> 00:06:52.000
were both working NonStop to make ends meet, which obviously
125
00:06:52.319 --> 00:06:55.000
very exhausting for the couple, but it's what they had
126
00:06:55.040 --> 00:06:57.439
to do. What a lot of people have to do,
127
00:06:57.480 --> 00:07:01.360
you know, especially with the growing family all that now. Unfortunately,
128
00:07:01.439 --> 00:07:05.720
because of the couple's opposite work schedules, it was causing
129
00:07:05.839 --> 00:07:09.160
quite a strain, you know, on the relationship. And like
130
00:07:09.199 --> 00:07:12.519
within the home, the family all lived under the same roof,
131
00:07:12.920 --> 00:07:17.240
but it really felt like everybody was just living separate lives, right.
132
00:07:17.279 --> 00:07:20.480
Everyone was just kind of a shadow coming and going. Sucks.
133
00:07:20.720 --> 00:07:24.399
And that trend also just really continued when it came
134
00:07:24.439 --> 00:07:29.199
down to their kids, because the parents would be playing favorites,
135
00:07:29.600 --> 00:07:31.399
which I don't have kids, so you know, I'm sure
136
00:07:31.439 --> 00:07:33.680
you guys have a favorite Loki, but you don't like
137
00:07:33.800 --> 00:07:39.560
admit it, right, I don't know. Whatever. Anyways, So Brie,
138
00:07:39.560 --> 00:07:42.480
the youngest, she was more of a daddy's girl, and
139
00:07:42.680 --> 00:07:46.480
while Michael never really said it out loud, it was,
140
00:07:46.879 --> 00:07:49.160
you know, it was obvious to everybody. He didn't really
141
00:07:49.360 --> 00:07:53.800
do a good job of hiding his favorite child's Now,
142
00:07:53.839 --> 00:07:57.240
Stacy noticed that her other daughter, Ashley, didn't get as
143
00:07:57.319 --> 00:08:01.879
much attention as Brie, so to compensate, Stacy really tried
144
00:08:01.920 --> 00:08:04.959
to focus her attention on Ashley, and she would also
145
00:08:05.040 --> 00:08:08.000
try to spend a lot of time together and Stacy
146
00:08:08.480 --> 00:08:11.000
she liked her daughter Ashley so much that she would
147
00:08:11.079 --> 00:08:16.639
even call her her best friend. That's endearing in a way, right,
148
00:08:16.959 --> 00:08:18.639
I don't know, because you don't want your parent to
149
00:08:18.639 --> 00:08:20.000
be your best friend. But at the same time, I
150
00:08:20.040 --> 00:08:22.800
think she's just doing it because she feels bad. But
151
00:08:22.839 --> 00:08:25.959
I'm not really sure either way. She's a shitty best friend.
152
00:08:26.879 --> 00:08:29.000
And you'll see why. Okay. As time went on, though,
153
00:08:29.040 --> 00:08:32.519
the family just started falling apart. Stacy and Michael. Their
154
00:08:32.600 --> 00:08:35.679
marriage was really like on the verge of divorce, and
155
00:08:35.720 --> 00:08:40.000
the kids were divided, and there were even rumors swarming
156
00:08:40.000 --> 00:08:44.919
around the neighborhood that Michael and Stacy were participating in
157
00:08:44.960 --> 00:08:47.919
some kind of sexual affairs. I'm not sure if it
158
00:08:48.000 --> 00:08:50.399
was true or not, but Stacy had gone to a
159
00:08:50.480 --> 00:08:52.840
friend and told her that, you know, if she couldn't
160
00:08:52.840 --> 00:08:56.879
take it anymore, she was thinking about divorcing Michael. At
161
00:08:56.919 --> 00:09:00.399
this point, Michael had been drinking a lot, he was
162
00:09:00.440 --> 00:09:04.600
still like using drugs, and this affair was just kind
163
00:09:04.600 --> 00:09:08.080
of like the last straw fair, right, So when Stacy's
164
00:09:08.080 --> 00:09:11.480
having this conversation with her friend, Christmas was like right
165
00:09:11.519 --> 00:09:13.519
around the corner. So the friend is like, hey, why
166
00:09:13.559 --> 00:09:16.840
don't you just like chill and wait until the holiday
167
00:09:16.879 --> 00:09:19.559
passes and then you can move forward with the idea
168
00:09:19.559 --> 00:09:22.840
of divorce, you know, makes sense. Why break up the
169
00:09:22.919 --> 00:09:26.200
family right before the holidays? That would just I'm sure
170
00:09:26.399 --> 00:09:30.200
traumatize your kids. Maybe I don't know. Okay, So it's
171
00:09:30.320 --> 00:09:32.840
late December nineteen ninety nine, the family at this time
172
00:09:33.039 --> 00:09:37.240
still living in upstate New York, and the winters I
173
00:09:37.360 --> 00:09:41.080
hear are pretty terrible. So at this time, when Michael
174
00:09:41.279 --> 00:09:44.879
comes down with like the cough, like a fever or whatever,
175
00:09:44.960 --> 00:09:46.440
like no one really thinks much of it, you know,
176
00:09:46.600 --> 00:09:49.120
because everyone kind of gets sick around this time. But
177
00:09:49.600 --> 00:09:53.320
his cough ends up lasting for over six weeks, which
178
00:09:53.440 --> 00:09:57.440
is a little concerning, but still not like a reason
179
00:09:57.519 --> 00:10:00.320
to rush to the emergency room in their eyes, you know,
180
00:10:00.679 --> 00:10:03.039
not a stereotype, but it's not really that easy to
181
00:10:03.080 --> 00:10:05.759
get men to go to the emergency room, you know.
182
00:10:05.960 --> 00:10:09.360
So he's like, I'm fine, I'll be okay, I'll walk
183
00:10:09.399 --> 00:10:13.639
it off. But their daughter Ashley remembered that this one
184
00:10:13.720 --> 00:10:16.960
afternoon where she and her dad were like hanging out
185
00:10:17.039 --> 00:10:20.039
in the living room and Michael, her dad, was coughing
186
00:10:20.120 --> 00:10:22.480
and just coughing and coughing to the point that he
187
00:10:23.080 --> 00:10:25.759
like puked all over the coffee table and then he
188
00:10:25.919 --> 00:10:28.200
just laid on the couch trying to recover, and it's
189
00:10:28.279 --> 00:10:30.879
really all he could do. But actually thought like, this
190
00:10:30.919 --> 00:10:35.200
is really weird. He's really sick. So Christmas Eve rolls
191
00:10:35.279 --> 00:10:39.200
around and everyone is like getting together, coming to the table,
192
00:10:39.559 --> 00:10:42.279
you know, to have like dinner. Michael ends up coming
193
00:10:42.320 --> 00:10:45.440
to sit down and everyone had noticed like how puffy
194
00:10:45.559 --> 00:10:48.960
and swollen his face was, so naturally, the family's like,
195
00:10:49.759 --> 00:10:52.240
what the hell, like, stop being stubborn, you need to
196
00:10:52.240 --> 00:10:56.360
go see a doctor, and Michael finally agrees. So, because
197
00:10:56.360 --> 00:10:58.720
it's the holidays, he can't get an appointment right now,
198
00:10:58.759 --> 00:11:01.879
but he makes one and he waits. So then on
199
00:11:02.000 --> 00:11:06.240
January eleventh, two thousand, Michael was laying on the couch
200
00:11:06.320 --> 00:11:09.000
while Ashley was at home hanging out with him, and
201
00:11:09.080 --> 00:11:11.879
she said she started to notice him acting a little funky.
202
00:11:12.080 --> 00:11:14.919
He was just making like weird faces and doing funny
203
00:11:14.960 --> 00:11:17.919
things with his arms, Like his arms I guess, flew
204
00:11:18.000 --> 00:11:20.000
up and down in the air, and then he fell
205
00:11:20.039 --> 00:11:23.320
down on the couch. And Ashley, who's just a tween,
206
00:11:23.799 --> 00:11:26.279
she didn't really think anything of it. She said. She
207
00:11:26.399 --> 00:11:30.000
truly thought her dad was just being like silly Dad.
208
00:11:30.080 --> 00:11:33.159
He's just being weird and being goofy, So she didn't
209
00:11:33.159 --> 00:11:35.600
think anything really of it. So she leaves him on
210
00:11:35.639 --> 00:11:37.480
the couch because she has to go walk and pick
211
00:11:37.559 --> 00:11:40.440
up her younger sister from school, and when she comes
212
00:11:40.480 --> 00:11:43.320
back into the living room, that's when she notices that
213
00:11:43.399 --> 00:11:46.360
her dad wasn't moving and she knew something was wrong,
214
00:11:46.440 --> 00:11:49.480
so she dialed nine one one. The paramedics arrived, but
215
00:11:49.519 --> 00:11:52.919
they were too late. Michael, at the age of thirty eight,
216
00:11:53.759 --> 00:11:58.159
was dead thirty eight the hill. His body was taken
217
00:11:58.159 --> 00:12:00.759
to a hospital where it was then determined by the
218
00:12:00.799 --> 00:12:04.440
doctor that Michael had died of a heart attack. Now,
219
00:12:04.519 --> 00:12:06.960
Michael's sister was I think I was his sister, but
220
00:12:07.000 --> 00:12:09.120
she was skeptical of a heart attack being the cause
221
00:12:09.159 --> 00:12:11.799
of death because to her like, Michael was a pretty
222
00:12:11.840 --> 00:12:14.919
healthy guy. I mean, the only issue he ever had
223
00:12:15.080 --> 00:12:19.159
was like I think a hernia or something. But besides that,
224
00:12:19.320 --> 00:12:22.200
like he was pretty healthy and besides the weird cough,
225
00:12:22.240 --> 00:12:26.279
but still overall he was healthy. And Michael's sister just
226
00:12:26.360 --> 00:12:29.200
couldn't like believe that he could have died from a
227
00:12:29.200 --> 00:12:31.039
heart attack. I mean, she really wanted to have an
228
00:12:31.080 --> 00:12:35.200
autopsy done. But Stacy, Michael's wife, you know, she said no,
229
00:12:35.480 --> 00:12:38.559
I mean, there's no reason a question the doctor's diagnosis.
230
00:12:38.759 --> 00:12:41.279
He the doctor was positive it was a heart attack,
231
00:12:41.600 --> 00:12:44.519
you know, so it must have been a heart attack,
232
00:12:44.639 --> 00:12:46.799
and that was that. I mean, people do have heart
233
00:12:46.799 --> 00:12:49.919
attacks at a young age. He was a hard working man,
234
00:12:50.279 --> 00:12:53.320
you know. So obviously Michael's death was really hard on
235
00:12:53.360 --> 00:12:58.480
the family. The girls losing their dad, Stacy losing her husband, sad,
236
00:12:58.679 --> 00:13:02.879
you know. Some time passes, and Stacy she receives Michael's
237
00:13:03.000 --> 00:13:06.360
life insurance policy, which is like I think around fifty
238
00:13:06.399 --> 00:13:09.559
thousand dollars. And with that money, I know, one thing
239
00:13:09.639 --> 00:13:12.120
she decides to do is take the girls on a
240
00:13:12.240 --> 00:13:16.240
trip to Disney World. Again, I think it's Disney World,
241
00:13:16.440 --> 00:13:19.240
or it might have been Disneyland. Either way, she takes
242
00:13:19.279 --> 00:13:21.200
them Disney and she's like, maybe I'll just lift their
243
00:13:21.240 --> 00:13:26.039
spirits a little, you know something. Shit, Well, life goes on,
244
00:13:26.200 --> 00:13:29.480
doesn't it. So then in two thousand and one, Stacy
245
00:13:29.720 --> 00:13:32.399
is like about thirty four. She left her job at
246
00:13:32.440 --> 00:13:36.679
the ambulance dispatch company and she got a job working
247
00:13:36.799 --> 00:13:40.360
as an office manager for an HVAC company. So she
248
00:13:40.679 --> 00:13:43.799
gets this new job. Great. Her boss at the time
249
00:13:43.960 --> 00:13:47.000
was like, hey, our owner is here, let me introduce
250
00:13:47.039 --> 00:13:50.840
you to him. He takes her over to the owner,
251
00:13:51.759 --> 00:13:56.600
David Castor. So the owner David, he was around forty
252
00:13:56.600 --> 00:14:01.720
four years old. He was tall and handsome, and you know, honestly, Stacy,
253
00:14:02.080 --> 00:14:05.120
she didn't hate it. She liked it. She was enjoying
254
00:14:05.120 --> 00:14:07.720
what she saw. And once again Stacy would well, she
255
00:14:07.759 --> 00:14:11.320
wouldn't say, but based off of my own personal opinion,
256
00:14:11.360 --> 00:14:14.799
it just seemed like lust at first sight. Again, David
257
00:14:14.879 --> 00:14:17.559
and Stacy, they had connected with one another. They started
258
00:14:17.600 --> 00:14:20.279
talking and like, David shared with Stacy that he had
259
00:14:20.279 --> 00:14:23.000
an older son who was grown and like moved out
260
00:14:23.000 --> 00:14:26.679
of the house, and Stacy shared that she had two daughters.
261
00:14:26.720 --> 00:14:29.679
And they really connected and like seemed to just enjoy
262
00:14:29.720 --> 00:14:34.039
each other's company. Really, So they're connecting, They're really feeling
263
00:14:34.080 --> 00:14:36.240
each other, and this really leads to them having a
264
00:14:36.240 --> 00:14:41.399
little fling. Everybody loves love, don't they No bad he
265
00:14:41.639 --> 00:14:45.480
wants to be lonely. Okay, So they're connecting, they're having
266
00:14:45.519 --> 00:14:49.159
a fling. And honestly, David, he was not shy about
267
00:14:49.200 --> 00:14:52.480
like taking her out to nice restaurants or spoiling her
268
00:14:52.759 --> 00:14:55.080
with like little gifts at the office. I don't know
269
00:14:55.080 --> 00:14:58.879
what it is, but a gift at the office, it's
270
00:14:58.919 --> 00:15:01.799
so nice. I don't know why, so stupid. So he
271
00:15:01.879 --> 00:15:05.320
was just treating her like a queen. Okay, lust was
272
00:15:05.399 --> 00:15:09.080
turning into love and guess what. The two of them
273
00:15:09.080 --> 00:15:12.679
go on to get married on August something of two
274
00:15:12.720 --> 00:15:16.320
thousand and three. So when Stacy and David started dating
275
00:15:16.360 --> 00:15:21.480
so quickly after their father's death, Ashley Ambree the kids
276
00:15:21.519 --> 00:15:24.000
they were not very welcoming of this new guy, their
277
00:15:24.039 --> 00:15:27.480
new stepfather. He moves into the house and he came
278
00:15:27.639 --> 00:15:30.879
with his own like set of rules that the girls
279
00:15:30.919 --> 00:15:34.960
had to follow, and these girls were just not feeling it.
280
00:15:35.120 --> 00:15:37.559
They're teenagers, They're not feeling it. They're like, who is
281
00:15:37.559 --> 00:15:39.000
this new guy trying to tell us what to do?
282
00:15:39.080 --> 00:15:43.600
You're not our dad. It's like, shit, fairy, you can't
283
00:15:43.639 --> 00:15:46.240
tell them nothing. I guess he came in pretty strong,
284
00:15:46.840 --> 00:15:50.320
demanded respect right off the bat. But there were obvious
285
00:15:50.360 --> 00:15:55.360
tensions growing between David and the girls and it wasn't good.
286
00:15:55.480 --> 00:15:58.679
So David felt like the girls were being selfish and
287
00:15:58.759 --> 00:16:01.960
honestly quite just for spectful. I mean, he was the
288
00:16:01.960 --> 00:16:05.200
man of the house and what he said goes. So
289
00:16:05.360 --> 00:16:08.840
things were just rocky within the family home right off
290
00:16:08.879 --> 00:16:11.559
the bat. So it was a late Monday afternoon on
291
00:16:11.679 --> 00:16:16.440
August twenty second, two thousand and five, around two pm,
292
00:16:16.480 --> 00:16:19.360
Stacy had called the local Sheriff's office to tell them
293
00:16:19.360 --> 00:16:24.000
that her husband, David Caster, had locked himself in their
294
00:16:24.080 --> 00:16:26.639
bedroom after a fight they had. And this is what
295
00:16:26.720 --> 00:16:31.120
she tells them. She's like, hey, hey, I'm Stacy, right.
296
00:16:31.240 --> 00:16:33.759
So she says that their two year wedding anniversary was
297
00:16:33.799 --> 00:16:37.120
coming up, and David was thinking that he and Stacy
298
00:16:37.200 --> 00:16:40.919
could like go on some kind of romantic getaway, as
299
00:16:40.960 --> 00:16:44.639
one does for anniversaries sometimes, you know, but this getaway
300
00:16:44.720 --> 00:16:46.679
would just be the two of them. So he goes
301
00:16:46.720 --> 00:16:49.759
to Stacy and tells her like what he's thinking and
302
00:16:49.799 --> 00:16:52.080
how they should celebrate, and Stacy's like, oh my god,
303
00:16:52.759 --> 00:16:55.679
I love this idea. Our family deserves all the fun
304
00:16:55.720 --> 00:16:58.039
I could have, you know, and she's thinking the whole
305
00:16:58.200 --> 00:17:01.240
family would be going now I guess according to Stacy,
306
00:17:01.360 --> 00:17:03.879
David got a little annoyed. He's like, no, I just
307
00:17:04.240 --> 00:17:06.440
wanted it to be like the two of us. Well,
308
00:17:06.480 --> 00:17:10.079
Stacy was not having that, and she wasn't going on
309
00:17:10.119 --> 00:17:13.240
the trip unless the whole family was going on the
310
00:17:13.319 --> 00:17:16.400
trip too. Well, according to Stacy, this ended in a
311
00:17:16.640 --> 00:17:18.960
just a huge fight between the two of them. Some
312
00:17:19.000 --> 00:17:22.039
sources say that this fight went on for seven hours,
313
00:17:22.160 --> 00:17:25.960
but I need more contacts there, because you don't just
314
00:17:26.000 --> 00:17:29.079
fight for seven hours. There's breaks, bathroom breaks, you get
315
00:17:29.079 --> 00:17:33.119
a snack, like so I'm mentioning that, but like eye
316
00:17:33.240 --> 00:17:35.240
roll too, because it's like, okay, whatever. So they get
317
00:17:35.279 --> 00:17:37.559
into this huge fight. Then she tells them that David
318
00:17:37.680 --> 00:17:40.079
he was like, you know what, I've had enough, and
319
00:17:40.200 --> 00:17:42.960
he grabs a bottle of alcohol. He went up to
320
00:17:43.000 --> 00:17:46.000
their bedroom, slammed the door, and then locked himself in
321
00:17:46.000 --> 00:17:47.880
the room. I mean, he was done with the argument,
322
00:17:48.680 --> 00:17:51.799
no more discussion. So this happened on a Friday, and
323
00:17:51.839 --> 00:17:55.799
Stacey told police that she hadn't seen David so angry
324
00:17:55.880 --> 00:17:58.920
before that night. She was like very upset. She ended
325
00:17:59.000 --> 00:18:01.319
up sleeping on the couch and just avoiding him for
326
00:18:01.400 --> 00:18:05.079
the rest of the weekend. So Stacy, she told the
327
00:18:05.119 --> 00:18:09.279
officers that David liked to drink like a lot, and
328
00:18:09.400 --> 00:18:12.640
she told them that he was probably just drunk sitting
329
00:18:12.640 --> 00:18:17.000
in that room, just drinking himself to I'm trying to
330
00:18:17.000 --> 00:18:19.039
think of a word, and I just went blank to,
331
00:18:19.559 --> 00:18:22.799
you know, just drinking himself to fill in the blank.
332
00:18:22.920 --> 00:18:25.319
So one of the sergeants have the County Sheriff Department,
333
00:18:25.440 --> 00:18:28.200
they go out to the family home once again, Stacy
334
00:18:28.279 --> 00:18:31.400
tells them the whole story. And when the sergeants goes
335
00:18:31.519 --> 00:18:34.680
up to the master bedroom and he was like, okay,
336
00:18:34.839 --> 00:18:37.200
the door is indeed shut and locked, knocking on it,
337
00:18:37.559 --> 00:18:39.519
and Stacy's telling him that it's been like that for
338
00:18:39.640 --> 00:18:41.880
days now. So the sergeants knocking on the door, doesn't
339
00:18:41.920 --> 00:18:47.119
get a response, knocks again, nothing, So he then kicks
340
00:18:47.160 --> 00:18:50.720
down the door, you know, to gain access, and what
341
00:18:50.880 --> 00:18:55.839
he sees inside was not what anyone was expecting. Inside
342
00:18:56.000 --> 00:18:59.640
the master bedroom, laying across the bed was forty eight
343
00:18:59.720 --> 00:19:05.039
year old David laying naked across like a vomit covered bed.
344
00:19:05.799 --> 00:19:11.759
Ugh what yes, right, Yeah, crime scene photos are not great.
345
00:19:11.799 --> 00:19:13.720
I would not recommend seeing them. But it's like, in
346
00:19:13.759 --> 00:19:17.119
crime scene photos, have you ever noticed there's never sheets
347
00:19:17.200 --> 00:19:20.519
on the mattress. Have you ever noticed that, no matter
348
00:19:20.519 --> 00:19:23.720
how nice the house is or anything like, there's never
349
00:19:23.839 --> 00:19:26.480
sheets on the mattress. And this is something that I've
350
00:19:26.480 --> 00:19:30.519
always wondered. It's not funny, but my brain has to
351
00:19:30.599 --> 00:19:34.599
protect myself and it's like, no sheets, what's that about? Anyways,
352
00:19:34.640 --> 00:19:37.519
poor David is dead. So investigators they start looking around
353
00:19:37.519 --> 00:19:40.440
the room, right, and they notice that on the bedroom
354
00:19:40.519 --> 00:19:44.160
side table there was a glass of cranberry juice, right,
355
00:19:44.519 --> 00:19:47.240
and then there was another glass that was like half
356
00:19:47.279 --> 00:19:53.000
full of a bright green liquid on the floor. Guess
357
00:19:53.000 --> 00:19:55.359
what they see? It was like slightly under the bed
358
00:19:55.880 --> 00:19:59.559
was an open container of anti freeze. Yeah, and then
359
00:19:59.599 --> 00:20:04.720
also under the bed was a shotgun. Very mysterious items found.
360
00:20:05.160 --> 00:20:08.279
But officers have to go tell Stacy that her husband's dead,
361
00:20:08.880 --> 00:20:12.119
and as you'd expect, she's screaming, she's crying. She just
362
00:20:12.200 --> 00:20:15.440
cannot imagine that he killed himself. Like, she just starts
363
00:20:15.480 --> 00:20:18.359
screaming and crying. I can't even imagine how anyone would
364
00:20:18.359 --> 00:20:21.480
be acting. You know, David's body is taken to a corner,
365
00:20:22.079 --> 00:20:26.279
and they determined that David had committed suicide by consuming
366
00:20:26.319 --> 00:20:31.119
a lethal dose of anti freeze. Right side, I sure.
367
00:20:31.240 --> 00:20:33.720
Officers would even go on to say that they have
368
00:20:33.960 --> 00:20:38.039
seen like many cases of different people who have committed
369
00:20:38.079 --> 00:20:40.720
suicide by anti freeze. Now, they would go on to say,
370
00:20:40.720 --> 00:20:44.720
like it's not easy, it's not short, it's definitely painful,
371
00:20:44.880 --> 00:20:48.640
but people have done it before. Plus, like anti freeze
372
00:20:48.680 --> 00:20:53.839
is known to taste kind of good. Don't ask me why, dude,
373
00:20:53.880 --> 00:20:57.000
my Google history is so messed up. It's like, is
374
00:20:57.079 --> 00:21:02.319
anti freeze delicious? Yes? Finding anti freeze recipes. It's not
375
00:21:02.400 --> 00:21:04.880
an easy death though, Like it's really painful. Okay, if
376
00:21:04.880 --> 00:21:07.759
you're going to commit suicide, like that's yeah, that's an option.
377
00:21:07.880 --> 00:21:14.319
But like it's weird because like, right, I have no words,
378
00:21:14.359 --> 00:21:16.960
but I feel like you understand. So Stacy had told
379
00:21:17.079 --> 00:21:21.680
officers that David had been like recently very depressed because
380
00:21:22.200 --> 00:21:25.599
his father had died like suddenly, and he was really
381
00:21:25.680 --> 00:21:28.680
sad about it. So she was really worried that, you know,
382
00:21:28.759 --> 00:21:31.319
he might have killed himself because he was so down
383
00:21:31.680 --> 00:21:34.599
that could be enough and no questions would further be asked.
384
00:21:35.200 --> 00:21:38.680
There was one detective who thought, hmm, that's a little
385
00:21:39.359 --> 00:21:43.720
suspecih besh. There was one question lingering in his noggin,
386
00:21:43.880 --> 00:21:46.920
you know, the fact that David would know what anti
387
00:21:47.000 --> 00:21:49.839
freeze was. He ran an HVAC company. He knows where
388
00:21:49.839 --> 00:21:53.200
anti freeze is, So killing himself by anti freeze was
389
00:21:53.240 --> 00:21:57.359
like an odd choice, especially because there was a shotgun
390
00:21:57.440 --> 00:22:00.880
underneath the bed. Not saying you should do that instead,
391
00:22:00.920 --> 00:22:02.599
but it's like, if you were gonna do that, why
392
00:22:02.640 --> 00:22:04.960
not just do it quickly? Why would you want to
393
00:22:05.000 --> 00:22:10.279
do this slow, painful option, right, I'd hope. When investigators
394
00:22:10.319 --> 00:22:13.559
searched the home for any other clues, they also found
395
00:22:13.599 --> 00:22:16.680
a few items you know to have, like DNA and
396
00:22:16.799 --> 00:22:20.799
SLASH or fingerprint tested. The glass of anti freeze on
397
00:22:20.880 --> 00:22:25.039
the nightstand was dusted for fingerprints, which they discovered had
398
00:22:25.119 --> 00:22:30.079
three fingerprints on it, and the fingerprints were like oddly placed,
399
00:22:30.240 --> 00:22:33.160
as if someone was holding the cup from the bottom
400
00:22:33.640 --> 00:22:35.400
like this, let me show you with my red bull
401
00:22:35.559 --> 00:22:41.160
like three fingerprints, Wait, one, two, three? Can you see that? Wait?
402
00:22:42.079 --> 00:22:45.240
Not sponsored anyways? Three fingerprints as if someone was holding
403
00:22:45.279 --> 00:22:49.160
the cup from the bottom, and the fingerprints matched Stacy's,
404
00:22:49.319 --> 00:22:52.480
but it wasn't like really unusual to have her fingerprints
405
00:22:52.480 --> 00:22:56.279
on a glass in her own home, you know, So
406
00:22:56.319 --> 00:22:58.440
it was kind of like, Okay, that's something, but it's
407
00:22:58.440 --> 00:23:02.880
not everything. Now, on the actual container of anti freeze,
408
00:23:03.000 --> 00:23:07.759
there were no fingerprints found, none at all. In the kitchen,
409
00:23:07.839 --> 00:23:12.119
investigators also find a turkey baster. Now, this turkey baster
410
00:23:12.279 --> 00:23:14.920
was found in the kitchen garbage. Now, it might not
411
00:23:15.039 --> 00:23:18.160
be weird, but it was noted because first of all,
412
00:23:18.200 --> 00:23:21.359
the kitchen looked like it hadn't been used for cooking recently.
413
00:23:21.559 --> 00:23:25.680
And second of all, that turkey baster looked brand spanking new.
414
00:23:26.759 --> 00:23:29.880
I mean, who's throwing away a brand new turkey baster?
415
00:23:30.039 --> 00:23:32.200
You get one in your life and then that's it,
416
00:23:32.599 --> 00:23:35.680
you have it forever, right, never seen one thrown away before,
417
00:23:35.839 --> 00:23:39.240
So okay, weird. So, like, they take pictures of the
418
00:23:39.279 --> 00:23:42.519
turkey baster in the trash, and then it was taken
419
00:23:42.559 --> 00:23:46.519
to be tested for DNA or whatever because it had
420
00:23:46.559 --> 00:23:49.319
a smell to it. It smell like alcohol and there were
421
00:23:49.359 --> 00:23:51.240
a few drops of liquid in it, so they want
422
00:23:51.279 --> 00:23:53.200
to see what that was all about. So it gets taken,
423
00:23:53.359 --> 00:23:57.880
it's tested, and the testing revealed that no fingerprints were
424
00:23:57.920 --> 00:24:01.920
on the turkey baster itself. But on the end where
425
00:24:01.960 --> 00:24:05.480
like the drip comes out. Is that how you describe it,
426
00:24:05.559 --> 00:24:09.960
that had David's DNA on it? No? Not, you're thinking, oh,
427
00:24:10.000 --> 00:24:12.359
I get it, I know what happened. Shut up, don't
428
00:24:12.400 --> 00:24:15.839
ruin it, because listen, be patient, because there's so much more. Well,
429
00:24:15.880 --> 00:24:18.880
this one investigator is like kind of noticing these weird things,
430
00:24:18.880 --> 00:24:21.000
but like nothing is really coming of it just yet,
431
00:24:21.079 --> 00:24:24.119
you know. So life is going on for poor Stacy
432
00:24:24.200 --> 00:24:28.440
who lost two of our husbands. Now, talk about bad
433
00:24:28.680 --> 00:24:32.920
luck Stace. Stacy ended up having David buried in a
434
00:24:32.960 --> 00:24:37.079
plot right next to her previous husband, Michael. Yeah, she
435
00:24:37.119 --> 00:24:39.039
had them buried side by side. I don't know if
436
00:24:39.079 --> 00:24:41.000
that's weird or not, but I was like, what the fuck, girl?
437
00:24:41.759 --> 00:24:43.799
What is that? But I mean, at least it limits
438
00:24:43.839 --> 00:24:47.039
travel time for when she does visit those graves. I
439
00:24:47.079 --> 00:24:49.720
think maybe that was her thought process, but that was
440
00:24:49.720 --> 00:24:54.359
an odd choice. So in David's will, he left everything
441
00:24:54.680 --> 00:24:57.279
to Stacy and her daughters and not one thing to
442
00:24:57.359 --> 00:25:01.400
his own grown son, David Junior. That in itself was weird.
443
00:25:01.640 --> 00:25:04.880
His son sadly took it as his dad like wanted
444
00:25:04.920 --> 00:25:07.039
nothing to do with him and didn't even try to
445
00:25:07.079 --> 00:25:08.759
fight it. He was just like, I guess my dad
446
00:25:08.759 --> 00:25:10.960
doesn't want anything to do with me. Like poor guy.
447
00:25:11.240 --> 00:25:14.240
But uh yeah, he didn't see it as worth a fight,
448
00:25:14.400 --> 00:25:16.319
which good for him, I mean not really, but like
449
00:25:16.759 --> 00:25:18.640
some people just fight and fight. It's like is it
450
00:25:18.680 --> 00:25:20.680
worth it? I don't know, Actually, don't listen to me.
451
00:25:20.839 --> 00:25:23.400
So since everything was left to Stacy, she ended up
452
00:25:23.440 --> 00:25:27.440
taking over the HVAC business, you know, David's business, and
453
00:25:27.599 --> 00:25:31.799
things were slowly getting back to normal. I guess while
454
00:25:31.799 --> 00:25:36.160
there was this one detective his name was Detective Spinelli,
455
00:25:36.400 --> 00:25:38.680
which side note I know, wasn't that the girl's name
456
00:25:38.720 --> 00:25:43.279
on that cartoon Recess Spinelli. Anyways, this detective he was
457
00:25:43.319 --> 00:25:46.240
smelling something funky going on. I mean, he deep inside
458
00:25:46.279 --> 00:25:49.480
believed that David's death was not a suicide but maybe
459
00:25:49.640 --> 00:25:52.319
uh a murder. So he's like, you know what, I'm
460
00:25:52.319 --> 00:25:54.680
gonna do some digging on my own time. And I
461
00:25:54.720 --> 00:25:57.559
love that, right, And that's when he decides, you know what,
462
00:25:57.599 --> 00:25:59.680
who I should reach out to first? I should reach
463
00:25:59.680 --> 00:26:02.640
out to Stacy's first husband, Michael, you know, maybe he
464
00:26:02.640 --> 00:26:05.319
can give me some answers, and that's when he finds
465
00:26:05.319 --> 00:26:10.240
out that he can't because Michael too is dead. Ooh,
466
00:26:10.279 --> 00:26:14.599
you're in trouble. So Detective Spinelli he reached out to
467
00:26:14.720 --> 00:26:19.160
investigators who handled Michael Wallace's death and that's when he
468
00:26:19.279 --> 00:26:24.079
realized there were a lot of similarities going on, a surprising,
469
00:26:24.200 --> 00:26:27.039
out of nowhere death to both of these men. So
470
00:26:27.200 --> 00:26:32.559
Detective is like, thish, I mean, did she kill her husbands? Now?
471
00:26:32.559 --> 00:26:35.880
Because there was no autopsy report for Michael, the only
472
00:26:36.039 --> 00:26:39.400
way they could like dig a little deeper into this
473
00:26:39.720 --> 00:26:43.720
theory was by exhuoming Michael's body and actually, like you know,
474
00:26:43.920 --> 00:26:47.480
do an autopsy on him. So they exume Michael's body,
475
00:26:47.599 --> 00:26:50.480
they get a toxicology report after they exhume his body,
476
00:26:50.920 --> 00:26:53.599
and when it comes back, it tested positive for a
477
00:26:53.680 --> 00:26:57.519
presence of anti freeze in the body. Yeah, and Michael's
478
00:26:57.559 --> 00:27:01.680
body the first husband. I'm noticing theme here, right. You see.
479
00:27:01.680 --> 00:27:05.400
Anti freeze poisoning can be identified within the body by
480
00:27:05.440 --> 00:27:09.079
the growth of calcium oxalate crystals, and this happens within
481
00:27:09.119 --> 00:27:12.279
the kidneys. And these crystals were found and not only
482
00:27:12.319 --> 00:27:19.640
Michael's body, but also in David's body. Aha, right, Stacy,
483
00:27:21.440 --> 00:27:24.680
what are you doing? Girl? So the detective orders his
484
00:27:24.720 --> 00:27:28.279
team to have Stacy's house wire tapped. Now, they wanted
485
00:27:28.319 --> 00:27:31.000
to listen to any phone calls made from within the home,
486
00:27:31.440 --> 00:27:35.440
any unusual conversations, you know all that. He also ordered
487
00:27:35.440 --> 00:27:37.599
for the team to set up cameras that were facing
488
00:27:37.720 --> 00:27:41.480
towards Stacy's home and also at the grave sites of
489
00:27:41.559 --> 00:27:44.599
both Michael and David. I mean, they were really hoping
490
00:27:44.599 --> 00:27:48.039
to catch any odd or unusual behavior on her end, right,
491
00:27:48.279 --> 00:27:51.279
and they did. It's not funny. They didn't catch anything
492
00:27:51.359 --> 00:27:56.000
unusual other than the fact that Stacy never visited their graves.
493
00:27:58.160 --> 00:27:59.880
This fuck it, bitch, right, she put them next to
494
00:28:00.079 --> 00:28:03.799
each other at least pretend bitch shit Like damn, she
495
00:28:03.799 --> 00:28:08.240
couldn't even go once. So then on September seventh, of
496
00:28:08.240 --> 00:28:11.119
like two thousand and seven, so it's quite sometimes gone by,
497
00:28:11.839 --> 00:28:15.200
Stacy was brought in for questioning. Now the investigators are
498
00:28:15.240 --> 00:28:18.519
asking her. They're showing a picture of the nightstand, do
499
00:28:18.559 --> 00:28:20.799
you remember which glass it was that you poured the
500
00:28:20.880 --> 00:28:24.440
cranberry juice in? And she looks at the photographs of
501
00:28:24.519 --> 00:28:28.799
the glasses and she responded with this is a quote. Well,
502
00:28:28.960 --> 00:28:33.400
I poured the anti free I mean, and then she
503
00:28:33.440 --> 00:28:37.799
stopped and said, I mean, I mean the cranberry juice,
504
00:28:38.200 --> 00:28:40.880
like we're in a Scooby Doo show. She had a
505
00:28:40.960 --> 00:28:45.440
slip up, you know, I just she did that. She
506
00:28:45.480 --> 00:28:48.240
said that, that's what she said. Naturally, because the detective
507
00:28:48.279 --> 00:28:50.640
isn't an idiot, he picked he picked up on that,
508
00:28:51.039 --> 00:28:53.000
and he called her on it. He's like, what'd you
509
00:28:53.039 --> 00:28:56.559
just say the anti free? Stacy in return, accused them
510
00:28:56.559 --> 00:28:59.200
of trying to frame her, and she demanded the interview.
511
00:28:59.240 --> 00:29:01.799
We stopped and she told them I'm not answering any
512
00:29:01.880 --> 00:29:04.799
more questions. She got up, she was about to leave
513
00:29:04.839 --> 00:29:07.559
the room and she looked at the their stack of
514
00:29:07.599 --> 00:29:11.440
photographs the detective had right, and she saw one photograph
515
00:29:11.599 --> 00:29:14.119
on his pile of papers, and it was an image
516
00:29:14.160 --> 00:29:16.839
of the Turkey baster from her trash can. And before
517
00:29:16.880 --> 00:29:18.960
leaving the room, she looks, She's like, what do you
518
00:29:19.000 --> 00:29:21.559
have that for? What's that for? Like, just in a
519
00:29:21.680 --> 00:29:24.799
really aggressive way, what is that? What is that put?
520
00:29:24.839 --> 00:29:27.599
In response, the detective said, like, are you answering questions
521
00:29:27.640 --> 00:29:29.559
or not? He was a sassy bitch and I was
522
00:29:29.599 --> 00:29:33.160
here for it. Obviously she stormed out, but she was
523
00:29:33.480 --> 00:29:36.240
very upset about something. Police kept their eyes on the
524
00:29:36.319 --> 00:29:39.440
cameras and the wired tap at the family home, and
525
00:29:39.480 --> 00:29:41.799
Stacy was making a round of phone calls to friends,
526
00:29:41.839 --> 00:29:43.519
and she was just like going on and on, like
527
00:29:43.759 --> 00:29:45.640
I can't believe they think I'm involved. I can't believe
528
00:29:45.640 --> 00:29:48.559
they think I did this. I'm just shocked. I don't
529
00:29:48.559 --> 00:29:50.359
know what to do, Like why would they blame me?
530
00:29:51.039 --> 00:29:52.920
Do you know? She was just complaining on all the
531
00:29:52.920 --> 00:29:56.200
phone calls, like how could they even think this? Why
532
00:29:56.200 --> 00:29:59.079
would they even think this? I'm a victim, And her
533
00:29:59.079 --> 00:30:01.119
friends are like, I don't know. The stays like, just
534
00:30:01.160 --> 00:30:03.720
play it cool, girl, Everything's gonna be fine, girl, I
535
00:30:03.799 --> 00:30:09.359
believe you. While investigators decide to question Stacy's daughters, so
536
00:30:09.799 --> 00:30:13.839
they end up locating Ashley, remember the oldest daughter. They
537
00:30:13.920 --> 00:30:16.599
end up locating her and ask if they can, you know,
538
00:30:16.799 --> 00:30:20.279
ask a few questions about her relationship with her mother
539
00:30:20.359 --> 00:30:25.240
and father, and if she noticed anything unusual with Michael's death,
540
00:30:25.680 --> 00:30:28.160
her biological father. She's like no, like nothing at all,
541
00:30:28.160 --> 00:30:30.279
Like why would you even think them? She was becoming
542
00:30:30.839 --> 00:30:34.960
pretty defensive, which is understandable because like, why are they
543
00:30:35.039 --> 00:30:37.400
questioning her out of nowhere, and she just felt like
544
00:30:37.440 --> 00:30:40.359
it was straight up disrespectful that the authorities are even
545
00:30:40.440 --> 00:30:43.599
asking her anything like this. But also she was upset
546
00:30:43.640 --> 00:30:47.440
because they had located and questioned her on her first
547
00:30:47.720 --> 00:30:51.039
day of college. It's like her first day of school
548
00:30:51.160 --> 00:30:53.359
at a new college and they find her a stop
549
00:30:53.400 --> 00:30:57.000
her and question her like in the in front of Hello,
550
00:30:57.279 --> 00:31:00.400
you know, like that's a bear scene. So she was
551
00:31:01.079 --> 00:31:04.200
not really open to answering questions. As soon as the
552
00:31:04.240 --> 00:31:07.039
authorities left, though, the first thing she did she picked
553
00:31:07.119 --> 00:31:10.039
up her phone and she called her mom, Stacy, and
554
00:31:10.079 --> 00:31:12.759
she tells her mom she's like, look, mo, the authorities,
555
00:31:12.799 --> 00:31:16.880
Like you can tell she's very shaken up and sad.
556
00:31:17.319 --> 00:31:20.079
Just you know, when you're like so irritated and annoyed
557
00:31:20.079 --> 00:31:22.839
that you start crying. Is like that, like she's crying,
558
00:31:22.880 --> 00:31:25.759
but like you could tell she's just anyways, So she's
559
00:31:25.759 --> 00:31:27.519
telling her mom, She's like, they came to my school.
560
00:31:27.559 --> 00:31:29.880
They questioned me, like how could they do this? And
561
00:31:29.960 --> 00:31:33.200
Stacy's on the other end like what, Oh my gosh,
562
00:31:33.480 --> 00:31:36.079
She's just all like shocked that this would even happen.
563
00:31:36.160 --> 00:31:38.119
So Ashley is just on the phone venting to her
564
00:31:38.160 --> 00:31:41.559
mom all upset, all frustrated, and her mom says, you
565
00:31:41.599 --> 00:31:45.559
know what's sweetie, sweetie, you know what, look, just come home.
566
00:31:46.000 --> 00:31:48.759
We both had a rough week. Let's both just like
567
00:31:48.839 --> 00:31:51.960
get drunk. And this is what her mom says to Ashley,
568
00:31:52.039 --> 00:31:55.000
her daughter. In later interviews, she says she was like,
569
00:31:55.039 --> 00:31:58.240
oh cool, oh cool, yeah, like she low KEI thought
570
00:31:58.279 --> 00:32:00.519
it was awesome that her mom was giving her mission
571
00:32:00.559 --> 00:32:03.440
to have some alcohol with her. She's still a teenager
572
00:32:03.480 --> 00:32:05.880
at this point or like not legal to drink, so
573
00:32:05.920 --> 00:32:08.799
it was, you know, pretty cool. She's like, oh cool,
574
00:32:08.839 --> 00:32:10.880
I'm gonna go drinking my mom. So she ends up
575
00:32:10.920 --> 00:32:13.599
going back to her mom's house. She has a couple
576
00:32:13.799 --> 00:32:16.519
I think maybe just one adult beverage with her, and
577
00:32:16.519 --> 00:32:18.559
then she ends up passing out at home and then
578
00:32:18.720 --> 00:32:20.680
she wakes up the next morning with like a full
579
00:32:20.720 --> 00:32:24.119
on hangover. Not fun, but it happens when you drink, right.
580
00:32:24.440 --> 00:32:27.319
So Stacy goes to school the next day and her
581
00:32:27.319 --> 00:32:30.599
mom calls her again. Stacy calls to invite her daughter
582
00:32:30.680 --> 00:32:33.720
back over. Come over and have a drink with me again.
583
00:32:33.960 --> 00:32:36.799
You know it's time to relax, let some steam off.
584
00:32:36.880 --> 00:32:39.039
Maybe we can have a little drink for your birthday
585
00:32:39.119 --> 00:32:42.799
that's coming up a pre birthday cocktail, and Ashley wants
586
00:32:42.799 --> 00:32:45.400
to get is like, okay, it's her mom, that's her
587
00:32:45.400 --> 00:32:48.720
best friend. So it actually gets to her mom's house.
588
00:32:49.079 --> 00:32:51.640
The first thing Stacy does is offer her a drink.
589
00:32:51.920 --> 00:32:54.279
Ashley said, the first when she took a sip of
590
00:32:54.279 --> 00:32:57.240
that drink, it was really nasty tasting, you know, but
591
00:32:57.319 --> 00:32:59.519
she held onto it. She want to be rude, but
592
00:32:59.599 --> 00:33:01.039
she's like, I'm not going to keep drinking this. It
593
00:33:01.079 --> 00:33:03.720
tastes like crap. So Stacy's like, what's wrong. You don't
594
00:33:03.759 --> 00:33:06.680
like your drink and Ashley like, oh, it just doesn't
595
00:33:06.720 --> 00:33:10.359
taste very good. And Stacy's trying to tell Ashley, you know,
596
00:33:10.480 --> 00:33:13.839
like that's alcohol. It tastes like shit. So if you
597
00:33:13.920 --> 00:33:16.240
do this, and Stacy kind of shows her daughter a
598
00:33:16.319 --> 00:33:18.400
trick with the straw, you know, when you get liquid
599
00:33:18.480 --> 00:33:20.640
in the straw and then you pour it in your mouth.
600
00:33:21.559 --> 00:33:23.960
She's doing that to get the drink to the back
601
00:33:24.000 --> 00:33:26.559
of her throat so she could swallow it, which would
602
00:33:26.599 --> 00:33:29.559
then get her drunk without having to taste the alcohol.
603
00:33:29.720 --> 00:33:32.599
And she's like, oh cool, mom thinks. So Ashley ends
604
00:33:32.640 --> 00:33:36.240
up drinking it like that and she continues drinking because again,
605
00:33:37.319 --> 00:33:39.720
why not, it's her mom. Okay, it's her best friend.
606
00:33:39.759 --> 00:33:41.519
It was cool to hang out with her and act
607
00:33:41.599 --> 00:33:43.880
like an adult with her. Right now, this is the
608
00:33:43.880 --> 00:33:48.039
part that shook me to my core, bitch, because seventeen
609
00:33:48.079 --> 00:33:51.160
hours go by and her younger sister, Brie, came into
610
00:33:51.240 --> 00:33:54.119
Ashley's room, where she had knocked out for the night.
611
00:33:54.359 --> 00:33:57.839
She tries to wake up her sister and instead Ashley
612
00:33:58.519 --> 00:34:03.200
was unresponsive. Brie is yelling for her mom, you know, Stacy,
613
00:34:03.440 --> 00:34:05.640
She's yelling at her. Call Nia one, Call, Nila one.
614
00:34:05.680 --> 00:34:08.480
So Stacy made the call and told the dispatcher that
615
00:34:08.519 --> 00:34:12.880
Ashley was unresponsive, that she thought her daughter was having
616
00:34:12.920 --> 00:34:16.360
trouble breathing, and also that she believed her daughter had
617
00:34:16.400 --> 00:34:18.880
taken like a bunch of pills. She then is on
618
00:34:18.920 --> 00:34:21.719
the phone with a dispatcher and she's like, you can
619
00:34:21.760 --> 00:34:24.239
hear it in the recording. She's like, she drank an
620
00:34:24.400 --> 00:34:29.559
entire bottle of vodka. Oh, Ashley. Why. I hate to judge,
621
00:34:29.559 --> 00:34:31.960
but it's kind of calm for someone whose daughters like
622
00:34:32.159 --> 00:34:35.719
dying right there, you know. But then again, Stacy's seen
623
00:34:35.719 --> 00:34:37.840
a lot of deaths at this point, Brie runs out
624
00:34:37.880 --> 00:34:40.480
of Ashley's room. They make the phone called naima one.
625
00:34:40.880 --> 00:34:44.159
Brie runs back to Stacy's room and comes across a
626
00:34:44.280 --> 00:34:47.800
suicide letter. Oh yeah, and it was not far from Ashley. Now,
627
00:34:47.840 --> 00:34:50.639
this letter or note was typed. It was very long.
628
00:34:50.800 --> 00:34:53.119
There were no periods or punctuation at all, so it's
629
00:34:53.199 --> 00:34:58.199
just one like run on sentence. But while reading the letter,
630
00:34:58.239 --> 00:35:02.840
it appeared to be Ashley's quote unquote murder confession. In
631
00:35:02.920 --> 00:35:07.039
this letter, Ashley allegedly admitted to having killed her father
632
00:35:07.280 --> 00:35:11.440
and stepfather by putting anti freeze in both of their drinks,
633
00:35:11.719 --> 00:35:15.360
and also said that she gave Michael rat poison to
634
00:35:15.480 --> 00:35:20.239
quote finished the job, which there was actually rat poison
635
00:35:20.320 --> 00:35:24.719
found in Michael's autopsy report, so and like that was
636
00:35:24.760 --> 00:35:28.519
a public knowledge. In the letter, she also mentioned killing herself,
637
00:35:28.760 --> 00:35:31.679
killing her stepdad and her real dad, and said she
638
00:35:31.800 --> 00:35:35.840
did it for quote for her mother end quote. In
639
00:35:35.880 --> 00:35:38.480
the end, it said, quote now everyone is going to
640
00:35:38.519 --> 00:35:41.119
know what really happened, and they know it wasn't you,
641
00:35:41.559 --> 00:35:45.079
it was me. Please don't hate me, remember I love you.
642
00:35:45.559 --> 00:35:48.920
End quote. Well, the ambulance and all that arrived and
643
00:35:48.960 --> 00:35:51.360
they rushed Ashley to the hospital and it was like
644
00:35:51.400 --> 00:35:55.199
a pretty close call, but she ends up surviving recklessly.
645
00:35:55.360 --> 00:35:57.800
They ran some tests on her and they revealed that
646
00:35:57.840 --> 00:36:02.360
there was a potentially fatal amount of painkillers in Ashley's system,
647
00:36:03.000 --> 00:36:07.519
and if the paramedics arrived, like any minute later, she
648
00:36:07.679 --> 00:36:11.360
most likely could have died. So time passes, Ashley wakes
649
00:36:11.480 --> 00:36:14.800
up and she's all sorts of confused. Okay, she's like,
650
00:36:15.199 --> 00:36:18.360
she tells investigators, she has no idea what happened to her.
651
00:36:18.679 --> 00:36:21.320
She has little to know memory about the night before.
652
00:36:21.480 --> 00:36:23.760
Police when they did come in to question her, she
653
00:36:23.840 --> 00:36:26.280
said the last thing that she remembered was her mom
654
00:36:26.400 --> 00:36:28.719
giving her a drink, and then they mentioned, like, do
655
00:36:28.760 --> 00:36:31.920
you remember writing a suicide letter? She had no idea
656
00:36:31.920 --> 00:36:34.760
what they were talking about. She also told the officers
657
00:36:34.800 --> 00:36:38.239
that she didn't she never wrote a suicide note. She's like,
658
00:36:38.280 --> 00:36:39.760
I have no idea what you're talking about. This was
659
00:36:39.800 --> 00:36:43.559
all they needed investigators. They're like, Stacy's our bitch. She
660
00:36:43.760 --> 00:36:45.880
just I think she just tried to kill her daughter.
661
00:36:46.079 --> 00:36:47.840
Lucky for them, they wouldn't have to go far to
662
00:36:47.880 --> 00:36:51.519
find Stacy. She was right outside the door smoking and
663
00:36:51.559 --> 00:36:54.079
they placed around her. Arrest for the murder of David
664
00:36:54.159 --> 00:36:57.800
Castor and for attempting to murder Ashley and framing her
665
00:36:58.079 --> 00:37:00.719
for the murders of David and Michael. Yeah, this is
666
00:37:00.719 --> 00:37:03.320
a lot. Stacy was shocked. She's like, oh my god,
667
00:37:03.719 --> 00:37:08.320
you guys got this all wrong. I am Anna. Lee's naturally,
668
00:37:08.440 --> 00:37:13.599
Stacy pled not guilty, telling everyone, literally everyone who interviewed
669
00:37:13.639 --> 00:37:16.559
her or anything, that it was her daughter Ashley who
670
00:37:16.639 --> 00:37:20.760
killed everyone. She's like, hello, the letter. Could you imagine
671
00:37:20.800 --> 00:37:23.880
She's literally blaming her daughter. This is where I was like, what,
672
00:37:25.119 --> 00:37:28.840
huh what Now she's blaming her daughter. This is new.
673
00:37:29.199 --> 00:37:33.079
So Stacy's in jail waiting for her trial, right she's
674
00:37:33.360 --> 00:37:37.159
claiming to be innocent. So Stacy's team they hire private
675
00:37:37.199 --> 00:37:41.039
investigators to try and find the connection to Ashley, try
676
00:37:41.079 --> 00:37:43.920
to find the Ashley connection to the murders. So one
677
00:37:43.920 --> 00:37:46.119
thing they found was a letter. It was like an
678
00:37:46.119 --> 00:37:49.519
old letter to Ashley's boyfriend, both teenagers at the time,
679
00:37:49.679 --> 00:37:52.000
saying that she was going to kill herself. But that
680
00:37:52.119 --> 00:37:54.639
was like the only evidence they found, and to many
681
00:37:54.719 --> 00:37:58.320
it gave that dramatic teenager vibe. You know what I'm saying.
682
00:37:58.360 --> 00:38:00.760
When you're in a dramatic teen you're like oh, yil might
683
00:38:00.840 --> 00:38:03.800
want to die. It was giving that either way. The
684
00:38:03.880 --> 00:38:08.679
defense saw this as their like, gotcha, see, gotcha, she
685
00:38:08.880 --> 00:38:11.360
wanted to die everybody. But it didn't make a lot
686
00:38:11.400 --> 00:38:15.280
of sense that Ashley would have killed her father because
687
00:38:15.320 --> 00:38:18.880
at the time of his death, she was only twelve
688
00:38:19.000 --> 00:38:21.480
years old. So if she did do it, she would
689
00:38:21.559 --> 00:38:24.079
have to know at twelve years old about anti freeze
690
00:38:24.519 --> 00:38:27.320
and also rap poison and stuff. So it was kind
691
00:38:27.360 --> 00:38:30.840
of like, what kind of twelve year old knows that
692
00:38:32.000 --> 00:38:34.320
before the Internet and all that, you guys, I mean,
693
00:38:34.360 --> 00:38:37.079
the Internet was like still pretty new, but like still
694
00:38:37.480 --> 00:38:41.480
you know. So prosecutors they argued that the typed suicide
695
00:38:41.519 --> 00:38:45.280
note where Ashley quote unquote confesses to killing her father
696
00:38:45.800 --> 00:38:50.599
and stepfather was actually written by Stacy and not Ashley.
697
00:38:50.719 --> 00:38:55.480
On top of that, prosecutors found several drafts of Ashley's
698
00:38:55.519 --> 00:39:02.280
suicide note on Stacy's computer. Ain't that's some shit. I
699
00:39:02.360 --> 00:39:04.360
know this story is awful and bad, but the part
700
00:39:04.440 --> 00:39:07.719
that's just like blowing my mind still is the fact
701
00:39:07.800 --> 00:39:11.760
that this is her daughter. She's blaming her daughter. She
702
00:39:11.920 --> 00:39:15.559
tried to kill her daughter. Do you understand she tried
703
00:39:15.599 --> 00:39:19.440
to kill her daughter and blame it on her. Oh
704
00:39:20.559 --> 00:39:24.960
I just can't imagine. I just can't. I still cannot.
705
00:39:25.280 --> 00:39:27.000
I just want to punch this lady in the face,
706
00:39:27.039 --> 00:39:30.800
Like what are you doing? Lady? You could blame anyone else,
707
00:39:31.199 --> 00:39:33.039
You're not going to get away from it. But like literally,
708
00:39:33.079 --> 00:39:35.519
you can blame anybody else, but you blame your own kid,
709
00:39:36.239 --> 00:39:42.360
your favorite kid, your best friend. Mm mmmmm mmmmm mm mmm.
710
00:39:42.599 --> 00:39:45.679
There's some sickos out there. Sometimes they're your own mother.
711
00:39:45.840 --> 00:39:50.519
Oh that's so scary. Forensic investigators noted that the time
712
00:39:50.639 --> 00:39:54.960
stamps of the documents themselves had been written slash typed
713
00:39:55.559 --> 00:39:59.880
when Ashley was in school. Thank you for a time stamp, right,
714
00:40:00.280 --> 00:40:02.159
there was no way she could have typed it up.
715
00:40:02.400 --> 00:40:07.199
She's in school, ok. Plus, remember the wire tap recordings
716
00:40:07.960 --> 00:40:10.840
that the police had set up from Stacy's home. Well,
717
00:40:11.000 --> 00:40:13.719
this was all like it's a speculation, I'm not sure,
718
00:40:13.760 --> 00:40:16.480
but like, listen, in court, they play this one phone
719
00:40:16.519 --> 00:40:18.920
call that had taken place around the same time that
720
00:40:19.000 --> 00:40:22.000
the suicide letter was being typed up. Stacy made a
721
00:40:22.000 --> 00:40:25.800
phone call that was recording through the wire tap. While
722
00:40:25.800 --> 00:40:29.320
it's believed the suicide letter was being written or typed up,
723
00:40:29.400 --> 00:40:31.960
it was Stacy She's on the phone talking to a friend, which,
724
00:40:32.199 --> 00:40:35.920
mind you side note she was dating a new dude. Yeah,
725
00:40:35.960 --> 00:40:37.800
she was already dating a new dude. And they're talking
726
00:40:37.800 --> 00:40:39.760
on the phone like, m maybe I can't wait to
727
00:40:39.800 --> 00:40:41.400
see you. Oh, what do you want me to wear?
728
00:40:41.559 --> 00:40:44.800
Oh she's got beer flavored nipples or something, you know
729
00:40:44.800 --> 00:40:47.559
what I'm saying. Anyways, but on this call, you could
730
00:40:47.599 --> 00:40:53.639
hear in the background typing noises and like. So they
731
00:40:53.639 --> 00:40:55.119
played it in court and they're like, what are you
732
00:40:55.159 --> 00:40:58.639
typing around this exact time stamp that the suicide letter
733
00:40:58.760 --> 00:41:00.639
was typed up? Can you let us know? She's like,
734
00:41:00.679 --> 00:41:03.239
I don't know. I wasn't typing. She was just being
735
00:41:03.280 --> 00:41:05.880
a little shit on the stand. I don't know anything.
736
00:41:06.039 --> 00:41:10.639
I know nothing. I didn't do it. Anna and Prosecution
737
00:41:11.000 --> 00:41:13.599
argued that Stacy was writing one of the drafts of
738
00:41:13.639 --> 00:41:19.360
Ashley's suicide note during the call. The note itself contained
739
00:41:19.559 --> 00:41:23.400
Stacy's fingerprints on it, but not a single print of
740
00:41:23.519 --> 00:41:27.800
Ashley's was on the page. Now that's a little funky,
741
00:41:27.880 --> 00:41:30.960
ain't it should, we could agree prosecutors. They were out
742
00:41:31.000 --> 00:41:34.960
to prove that Ashley's suicide attempt quote nquote was actually
743
00:41:35.039 --> 00:41:39.599
another murder planned by Stacy. Prosecutors believe Stacy saw the
744
00:41:39.679 --> 00:41:43.599
evidence of her two husband's murders. You know, there's earned
745
00:41:43.599 --> 00:41:46.320
a stack up, and she's like, oh fuck. And like
746
00:41:46.440 --> 00:41:48.960
when she learned that the police had exhumed her first
747
00:41:49.000 --> 00:41:52.519
husband's body and she found out that they found traces
748
00:41:52.519 --> 00:41:55.760
of anti freeze in his system, she most likely panicked
749
00:41:55.840 --> 00:41:58.159
and realized she needed to come up with a plan
750
00:41:58.880 --> 00:42:02.920
to protect herself. So she comes up with this one. Wow.
751
00:42:03.039 --> 00:42:05.719
So Ashley ends up in court. She ends up taking
752
00:42:05.719 --> 00:42:08.880
the stand, and she recounted how her mother had convinced
753
00:42:08.880 --> 00:42:11.800
her to drink the two nights before she almost died,
754
00:42:12.199 --> 00:42:15.840
and the only reason she drank the quote unquote nasty
755
00:42:15.880 --> 00:42:19.280
tasty drink was because she trusted her mom was her
756
00:42:19.280 --> 00:42:21.559
best friend. There was a lot of things presented in
757
00:42:21.599 --> 00:42:24.519
court that still like didn't make sense and didn't have
758
00:42:24.719 --> 00:42:28.800
clear answers to Like the glass that was found next
759
00:42:28.840 --> 00:42:34.559
to David on the nightstand was missing his fingerprints right. Also,
760
00:42:34.719 --> 00:42:37.039
how the turkey baser that they found in the kitchen
761
00:42:37.119 --> 00:42:41.079
trash had both David's DNA and traces of anti freeze
762
00:42:41.119 --> 00:42:43.679
on it, and the DNA on the turkey baster and
763
00:42:43.719 --> 00:42:48.079
the lack of David's fingerprints on the glass suggested that
764
00:42:48.239 --> 00:42:52.239
David was force fed anti freeze, you know, rather than
765
00:42:52.280 --> 00:42:55.440
like willingly take it. You know, it's all just what's
766
00:42:55.480 --> 00:42:58.840
it called speculation theories, ideas. I think we can all
767
00:42:58.880 --> 00:43:02.960
get behind it. So prosecutors presented a timeline that suggested
768
00:43:03.400 --> 00:43:07.280
Stacy had been feeding her husband the anti freeze with
769
00:43:07.360 --> 00:43:10.400
the turkey baster for four days in order to make
770
00:43:10.400 --> 00:43:13.719
it look like a suicide. So she was like squirting
771
00:43:13.760 --> 00:43:17.079
it in there, you know, most likely wearing gloves. Stacy
772
00:43:17.639 --> 00:43:22.480
countered the argument, claiming David got the idea to commit suicide.
773
00:43:22.800 --> 00:43:25.639
Wait for this, she said, David got the idea to
774
00:43:25.679 --> 00:43:29.360
commit suicide by Auntie freeze while they were both watching
775
00:43:29.440 --> 00:43:34.360
some kind of like dateline situation about Lynn Turner. Do
776
00:43:34.440 --> 00:43:36.599
you know about Lynn Turner? Out? Let me tell you
777
00:43:36.599 --> 00:43:39.159
about Lynn Turner. Miss Lynn Turner over here. She got
778
00:43:39.159 --> 00:43:42.079
the nickname the Black Widow, which I find like a
779
00:43:42.119 --> 00:43:44.360
lot of killers and stuff kind of get that titled,
780
00:43:44.360 --> 00:43:47.440
don't they. So Lynn Turner she got the nickname black
781
00:43:47.480 --> 00:43:55.519
Widow because she murdered two past lovers by using anti freeze.
782
00:43:55.760 --> 00:43:58.519
This dumb bitch, she's like, yeah, that's how he got
783
00:43:58.519 --> 00:44:02.960
the idea from a woman, the black widow. He's like,
784
00:44:03.000 --> 00:44:05.719
that looks fun, I'm gonna do that. Yeah, that's what
785
00:44:05.760 --> 00:44:08.639
he said. This is what she's running with. M m mmm,
786
00:44:08.920 --> 00:44:12.880
like what do you even say? Okay, I'm sure you
787
00:44:12.920 --> 00:44:17.199
were watching that, Stacy, But all right, So prosecutors believed
788
00:44:17.320 --> 00:44:21.679
one of the main motives was money. You know, it
789
00:44:21.679 --> 00:44:24.719
always seems to be money goes on it. So they
790
00:44:24.760 --> 00:44:29.000
believe that, you know, Stacy murdered her husbands to collect
791
00:44:29.079 --> 00:44:33.840
their life insurance and like their states Michael's death, Stacy
792
00:44:33.960 --> 00:44:38.039
got fifty k fifty to fifty five thousand. Stacy also
793
00:44:38.320 --> 00:44:42.159
had David's will changed to exclude his son from a
794
00:44:42.199 --> 00:44:46.599
previous marriage, leaving her three hundred thousand dollars as the
795
00:44:46.760 --> 00:44:50.119
sole beneficiary. And David he was pretty well off, like
796
00:44:50.159 --> 00:44:55.400
he had motorcycles, jet ski snowmobiles, a house of business,
797
00:44:55.639 --> 00:45:00.280
and all of that went to Stacy. So could be
798
00:45:00.320 --> 00:45:04.000
a good motive, right. Stacy's defense team had the task
799
00:45:04.079 --> 00:45:07.920
of creating reasonable doubt. Doubt I don't know why I
800
00:45:07.920 --> 00:45:10.880
said it like that. I'm feeling saucy today, So they
801
00:45:10.920 --> 00:45:13.960
tried to make it seem that even at the age
802
00:45:14.000 --> 00:45:18.280
of twelve, young Ashley still could have killed her father.
803
00:45:18.519 --> 00:45:20.760
They said her motive for killing him was the fact
804
00:45:20.760 --> 00:45:24.239
that she was jealous of the favoritism he showed her
805
00:45:24.519 --> 00:45:28.119
younger sister Breet over her. That's why she did it.
806
00:45:28.199 --> 00:45:32.199
The defense team noted that Ashley and David's relationship was
807
00:45:32.320 --> 00:45:35.000
you know rocky, and how it was no secret the
808
00:45:35.000 --> 00:45:37.360
two did not get along. I mean, the defense was
809
00:45:37.400 --> 00:45:42.320
pretty convincing. They even had Stacy's mother, Judy, the girl's grandma,
810
00:45:42.639 --> 00:45:46.719
believing that her granddaughter had committed the murders. Could you
811
00:45:46.760 --> 00:45:52.199
imagine your teenage self angry diary being like taken into
812
00:45:52.360 --> 00:45:54.639
court and read. You know, when you're a teenager, you're
813
00:45:54.719 --> 00:45:57.000
so engsty and just mad at everyone and everything, and
814
00:45:57.039 --> 00:45:59.599
you say the stupidest shit sometimes. I know my diary,
815
00:45:59.639 --> 00:46:03.760
I was like, I'm gonna fucking die and I hate everyone,
816
00:46:04.199 --> 00:46:06.880
And if that ever got read in court, I would
817
00:46:07.320 --> 00:46:10.519
just cry and shit my pants. But they were using
818
00:46:10.559 --> 00:46:14.800
this as a gospel, like her her teenage notes and shit.
819
00:46:15.119 --> 00:46:18.239
So many felt like there were many flaws in Stacy's
820
00:46:18.360 --> 00:46:21.079
version of the night. Stacy had claimed that it was
821
00:46:21.079 --> 00:46:24.840
her daughter Ashley who had murdered both her husbands, and
822
00:46:24.880 --> 00:46:27.320
while she couldn't prove any type of motive for her
823
00:46:27.400 --> 00:46:30.920
daughter's actions, she implied it was probably because her daughter
824
00:46:31.000 --> 00:46:34.000
was mentally ill. And then the prosecutors also pointed out
825
00:46:34.039 --> 00:46:39.719
the impossible coincidence that Ashley confessed to the murder when
826
00:46:40.039 --> 00:46:43.599
David's death was ruled a suicide. Does that make sense
827
00:46:43.599 --> 00:46:45.840
because at first didn't click for me, because David's death
828
00:46:45.880 --> 00:46:48.000
was ruled a suicide, So why would she say it
829
00:46:48.039 --> 00:46:52.159
was murder? You know? Does that make sense? The prosecutor
830
00:46:52.199 --> 00:46:55.679
said something in court, like, isn't it an amazing coincidence
831
00:46:55.719 --> 00:46:59.400
that a guy who was thinking about suicide is being
832
00:46:59.559 --> 00:47:03.679
murdered at the same time Stacy? Anything? Was it? And
833
00:47:03.719 --> 00:47:06.360
Stacy's just like, I don't know, I don't know, I
834
00:47:06.360 --> 00:47:08.760
don't know. She didn't know anything. What did I was like, girl,
835
00:47:08.760 --> 00:47:10.519
what do you know? At this point? Do you know
836
00:47:10.559 --> 00:47:15.079
your name? For Christ's sakes, she knew, she knew. Don't lie, girl.
837
00:47:15.440 --> 00:47:18.760
I was kind of shook if that. Stacy even took
838
00:47:18.760 --> 00:47:20.400
the stand in the first place, you know, in her
839
00:47:20.400 --> 00:47:24.840
own defense, and she still pointed the finger at her daughter, Ashley,
840
00:47:25.119 --> 00:47:27.239
And it's like her daughter was right there in the court.
841
00:47:29.239 --> 00:47:32.119
Could you imagine the betrayal, the hurt, the feelings you
842
00:47:32.119 --> 00:47:34.440
would have, Oh my god, that would be just I
843
00:47:34.519 --> 00:47:39.880
just couldn't imagine. Anyways, many were kind of believing Stacy's
844
00:47:39.880 --> 00:47:42.280
side of the story, but all evidence was pointing of
845
00:47:42.280 --> 00:47:46.079
fucking Stacy. Okay, listen, if you don't if you don't
846
00:47:46.079 --> 00:47:49.559
think it's Stacy, then you're idiot. Anyways, But on February fifth,
847
00:47:49.559 --> 00:47:52.760
two thousand and nine, the jerry found Stacy guilty of
848
00:47:52.840 --> 00:47:56.119
second degree murder in the poisoning death of David Caster,
849
00:47:56.800 --> 00:48:00.639
and of attempted second degree murder for overdosing her daughter
850
00:48:01.519 --> 00:48:05.920
Ashley with vodka and drugs. I mean, then, god, Stacy
851
00:48:06.039 --> 00:48:09.599
was found guilty. But her poor daughters, they don't have
852
00:48:09.639 --> 00:48:12.199
fathers or a fucking mom because her mom is a
853
00:48:12.239 --> 00:48:15.159
piece of shit anyway, So Ashley she ended up giving
854
00:48:15.159 --> 00:48:17.280
a statement at the end, going on to say that
855
00:48:17.440 --> 00:48:20.599
she never knew what hate was until now. She's like,
856
00:48:20.639 --> 00:48:23.079
I still love her, but at the same time, like
857
00:48:23.119 --> 00:48:25.920
I hate her, and it's just so confusing. And in
858
00:48:26.000 --> 00:48:29.320
the end, all she wanted was for her mom to
859
00:48:29.360 --> 00:48:33.199
say sorry for everything she did, including all of the lies.
860
00:48:33.639 --> 00:48:35.840
But Stacy never did. It was really sad. I mean
861
00:48:35.880 --> 00:48:39.280
the fact that, like Ashley was giving this really touching
862
00:48:39.719 --> 00:48:42.639
statement to the court, like talking directly to her mom,
863
00:48:42.920 --> 00:48:45.760
her mom wouldn't even look at her, didn't even like
864
00:48:46.280 --> 00:48:49.639
even address her own daughter. I just I still can't
865
00:48:49.639 --> 00:48:51.960
get over that. I still can't get over that. I
866
00:48:51.960 --> 00:48:55.039
can't believe she's that heartless. That's so sad. So the
867
00:48:55.119 --> 00:48:58.079
judge told Stacy that he had never before seen a
868
00:48:58.320 --> 00:49:01.800
parent attempt to murder their child in order to set
869
00:49:01.800 --> 00:49:05.599
their child up for a crime they themselves committed. I mean,
870
00:49:05.679 --> 00:49:07.960
it was really mind blowing, right. But in the end,
871
00:49:08.039 --> 00:49:10.559
Stacy was sentenced to twenty five years to life for
872
00:49:10.599 --> 00:49:14.079
the murder of David and an additional twenty five years
873
00:49:14.079 --> 00:49:17.400
to life for the attempted murder of Ashley. So when
874
00:49:17.440 --> 00:49:20.039
Stacy was sentenced, she was forty one at the time,
875
00:49:20.199 --> 00:49:22.760
so pretty much it was like a rest of her
876
00:49:22.840 --> 00:49:25.920
life sentence, you know, hold on, let me put on
877
00:49:25.920 --> 00:49:29.639
my lip. Stacy was placed in Bedford Hill's Correctional Facility
878
00:49:29.639 --> 00:49:33.000
for Women in Bedford Hills, New York, and her earliest
879
00:49:33.239 --> 00:49:38.320
possible release date is June fifteenth, twenty fifty five, and
880
00:49:38.360 --> 00:49:40.719
that would be like just after her eighty eighth birthday
881
00:49:41.079 --> 00:49:44.880
June July. On's her birthday July June. I can't remember,
882
00:49:44.960 --> 00:49:47.760
but it'd be around then. Guess what. In two thousand
883
00:49:47.760 --> 00:49:50.599
and nine, you know, good Old twenty twenty came through.
884
00:49:50.920 --> 00:49:52.920
They did a story on this case and they were
885
00:49:52.960 --> 00:49:56.239
even able to interview Stacy. During the interview, Stacy even
886
00:49:56.239 --> 00:49:59.639
went on to say, Ashley brought this on. Ashley really
887
00:49:59.679 --> 00:50:04.039
knows what happened. Yeah, she's still still I was like, girl,
888
00:50:04.280 --> 00:50:07.039
what the fuck? But Stacy said she felt bad for
889
00:50:07.079 --> 00:50:10.119
her younger daughter, Brite, saying that she was the innocent
890
00:50:10.239 --> 00:50:11.880
victim in all of it. Don't you just want to
891
00:50:11.920 --> 00:50:14.519
slap this woman in the fucking face, puncher, give her
892
00:50:14.519 --> 00:50:17.559
a nose bleeds something like what? Anyways, after the trial,
893
00:50:17.679 --> 00:50:20.800
neither of their daughters spoke to their mom again. Neither
894
00:50:20.800 --> 00:50:23.119
of them spoke to their mom again. That was just it.
895
00:50:23.280 --> 00:50:26.199
All they wanted was an apology and they never got one.
896
00:50:26.480 --> 00:50:29.519
Isn't that awful? In twenty ten, it was confirmed that
897
00:50:29.559 --> 00:50:34.039
there was an investigation going into the death of Stacy's father.
898
00:50:34.360 --> 00:50:36.719
His name was Jerry Daniels, so he died in two
899
00:50:36.719 --> 00:50:41.039
thousand and two and Stacy's father, Jerry, had been hospitalized
900
00:50:41.559 --> 00:50:45.199
for some kind of lung ailment and was on the
901
00:50:45.239 --> 00:50:47.559
road to recovery. Like he was even scheduled to be
902
00:50:47.679 --> 00:50:51.760
released in a couple of days, right, so Stacy she
903
00:50:51.800 --> 00:50:54.159
had come by to visit him in the hospital on
904
00:50:54.239 --> 00:50:57.480
February twenty six of two thousand and two, And it
905
00:50:57.519 --> 00:51:00.400
was reported when Stacy came, she brought like a drink
906
00:51:00.440 --> 00:51:03.760
for him, and they believe when she came in, the
907
00:51:03.840 --> 00:51:12.599
can was open, and the very next day Jerry suddenly died. Yeah.
908
00:51:12.880 --> 00:51:16.119
With the After his death, Stacy became the executor of
909
00:51:16.159 --> 00:51:19.920
his estate, and she also made sure her father's remains
910
00:51:20.440 --> 00:51:22.840
or cremated. Can you believe that? Now? I was trying
911
00:51:22.840 --> 00:51:25.119
to figure out if this case was still open or closed.
912
00:51:25.239 --> 00:51:28.559
I couldn't find anything. Plus I don't know because listen.
913
00:51:28.920 --> 00:51:32.719
June eleventh, twenty sixteen, Sorry, my hair's really tingled and
914
00:51:32.960 --> 00:51:34.840
just kind of gross. Just trying to look you for
915
00:51:34.880 --> 00:51:39.199
you guys. June eleventh, twenty sixteen, only seven years into
916
00:51:39.400 --> 00:51:43.320
her sentence seven years, Stacy was found dead in her
917
00:51:43.400 --> 00:51:46.079
jail cell at the age of forty eight. It was
918
00:51:46.159 --> 00:51:48.880
later determined she died of a heart attack with no
919
00:51:48.960 --> 00:51:54.119
evidence of suicide or of foul play. Life will get you, huh.
920
00:51:54.280 --> 00:51:56.280
I'd like. It's kind of bittersweet at the same time,
921
00:51:56.320 --> 00:51:58.239
I want her to live forever just in jail, because
922
00:51:58.239 --> 00:52:01.840
I feel like that's like torture. And you would hope
923
00:52:02.719 --> 00:52:06.079
one day she would apologize to her kids because she died.
924
00:52:06.559 --> 00:52:09.119
The kids never got an apology. I don't know if
925
00:52:09.119 --> 00:52:11.039
they would ever get one because it seems like the
926
00:52:11.159 --> 00:52:14.480
Stacy is a fucking loon. It's really sad. I feel
927
00:52:14.960 --> 00:52:17.800
really bad for the kids. I mean, they're grown now.
928
00:52:18.039 --> 00:52:21.440
I hope they're doing well and not giving up, because
929
00:52:21.440 --> 00:52:24.719
that's exactly what their mom would want, you know what
930
00:52:24.760 --> 00:52:27.400
I'm saying. Lifetime ended up doing like a movie about
931
00:52:27.440 --> 00:52:31.519
this story as well. It was called Poisoned Love the
932
00:52:31.760 --> 00:52:36.320
Stacey Castor's Story. It's on my to watch list, But
933
00:52:36.360 --> 00:52:37.679
do I need to watch it at this point, I
934
00:52:37.719 --> 00:52:40.320
don't know. You can also watch the court trial of
935
00:52:40.360 --> 00:52:43.880
Stacy and all that, like her on the stand, which
936
00:52:43.920 --> 00:52:48.800
is interesting to watch because she just she just lies.
937
00:52:50.000 --> 00:52:54.239
Ah that, my friends, is the story about Stacey Castor.
938
00:52:54.880 --> 00:52:58.119
I don't know what to call her. An actual demon,
939
00:52:58.599 --> 00:53:01.079
I've heard this story before, but when I was actually
940
00:53:01.559 --> 00:53:03.480
kind of digging more into it, it just really sacked
941
00:53:03.480 --> 00:53:07.239
because I was like, damn, she really blamed her own
942
00:53:07.320 --> 00:53:12.880
kid and then tried to kill her kid. Oh my god,
943
00:53:12.960 --> 00:53:15.800
could you I cannot imagine this. I cannot imagine this
944
00:53:15.840 --> 00:53:18.679
ever happening. And it did, and it was like sickening ill.
945
00:53:19.159 --> 00:53:20.920
I'm glad she's dead. I'm sorry I said it. Does
946
00:53:20.960 --> 00:53:22.960
she kill her father? Let me know down below in
947
00:53:22.960 --> 00:53:26.199
the comment section, I would say probably yes, and what
948
00:53:26.239 --> 00:53:28.800
the fuck was wrong with that woman? I'm glad she
949
00:53:28.960 --> 00:53:31.800
was put down. Let me know your guys' thoughts down
950
00:53:32.000 --> 00:53:34.360
below if you have any I've been doing a lot
951
00:53:34.360 --> 00:53:37.719
of woman killers lately. Yeah huh, I've been on one.
952
00:53:37.760 --> 00:53:39.599
Thank you guys so much for hanging out with me today.
953
00:53:39.639 --> 00:53:41.519
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.
954
00:53:42.039 --> 00:53:45.800
I feel cute. I'm gonna go on a date with myself.
955
00:53:46.039 --> 00:53:47.960
Would I say, have good day and make it choices.
956
00:53:48.199 --> 00:53:49.519
Let me know down below who you want me to
957
00:53:49.519 --> 00:53:52.440
talk about next week, But other than that, I'll be
958
00:53:52.800 --> 00:54:04.440
seeing you guys later. Goodbye.
