Tyler Ellis: Welcome to the Agnox Statistical Summary Show. My name is Tom Ag and I will be your host. and this is our first ever premiere, first ever episode of the summary show. Sure. It's ass for short, by the way, guys. so bear with me. Hopefully, we can provide you guys some good content. now every single time we run one of these shows, we will be covering any of the Aggies touchdown plays from the game before. so today we're going to be covering the touchdowns from Missouri State game. Now the Missouri State game was a blowout. We beat them 50 to 0. overall, obviously it was domination, but there were some problems with the offensive line in the first half. so into the second half, the offensive line definitely cleaned it up. The only thing that I can imagine there was that, you know, Elko got in there. The second half speech was Elko essentially clancied them. but let's go ahead and get into this. first touchdown of the day is brought to you by Isaiah Horton. And Marcel Reid. so first things first, we're looking at number seven down here in the bottom of our screen. Easy pitch and catch for the 15-yard touchdown there. so first thing that sticks out to me here, you're giving Isaiah Horton 10 yards of space. The end zone is 15 yards away. Probably not great. second thing that sticks out here is I'm not sure that this is really what is designed here. if it is, it's probably just an option on Horton. Horton can either do it five yards in and a dig, similar to what he ran, or a he can cut it into a slant or into a back shoulder fade. What happened here is he ran a five to ten yard dig, caught the pass, broke the tackle, easy pitch and catch for six. now, if we wanted to really look into that play more, we could hop over to this. this diagram has shown you. Kind of what that option entails, like a Y option, Z option, something along those lines. This QB in the bottom right-hand corner is gonna be Marcel. this left side of the screen with this yellow, the yellow lines is gonna be the route that Isaiah is going to run. And our first option here, this is the option that actually occurred. Horton started off, ended up breaking it off into a sl a curl or a dig. and that's mainly because that corner backed off so much that it just didn't make sense to hit a slant or a fade. If he hit a fade, the corner was gonna be in a perfect position to either deflect or intercept a pass. if he ran a slant, that's a possible hospital ball. So good job by Horton of reading that correctly. Caught the caught the dig for a touchdown. Now, in the case where the corner's lined up and he's actually five yards off of Horton, whenever Horton starts his route, He's immediately looking at the corner to see what side is the corner shaded on me. If he's shaded on the right, like seen in here, that's gonna be perfect for that back shoulder fade. so whenever Horton gets up here, they're actually gonna be pretty even by the time they hit the five-yard marker in this case. so any it's gonna be pretty hard for that corner to get outside leverage on Horton if he does decide to run the outside fade. and same thing goes here. So if he actually lines up on the ins or the outside shoulder instead of the inside shoulder. It's gonna be easy for Horton to make an adjustment and just run the slant. Again, we're talking about leverage here. Put your biggest part of your body to where your quarterback can see it. Make sure your quarterback can see your logos and numbers. and that's that's it. I guess in the middle case, make sure the quarterback can see the defensive back's last name and numbers. but going back into our touchdowns here. Pull the next one. Our next touchdown is going to come from another transfer. Kind of come from another transfer. this was a missile by Marcel to Kraver. I'm not sure what the route was, but more so it was just more impressive of a ball. This ball went between the fingers of the linebacker that was covering the inside there. I'm not sure how Marcel fit this thing in there. the only thing that I will know is the ball was thrown so hard that Mario Kraver's mouthpiece was ejected, and you could see it on the ground right there on the left side. so more transfers making plays for Texas A and that's a good thing to have. stay on the A and page for a second. And just how close was that to being intercepted? The ball went through these hands right here into Kravers. So that window of maybe eight inches by Marcel, great. Next touch. Next touchdown. Next touchdown we're gonna have is it's simple. It's just simple. If you play EA at college sports, you're gonna know this play like the back of your hand. It's a the jet sweep or the end around. and that's this the best thing is it's keeping it simple. And really, if you once you stop this, you see one guy that's gonna get through on the offensive line and he's not really getting through. That's because number fifty two is making a down block on the center here. so this guy is gonna end up being worthless anyway. He's not gonna he's gonna be taken out of the play. As he gets the end of round, you're gonna see this outside lineman has gotten the outside leverage on this linebacker here, clearing the path for the outside lane. Horton's clearing his path too on his corner, on his man. He's doing a good job blocking downfield. Now, the thing is, is we have this safety that's right here. Now, if this safety's any good at all, he is gonna break to the outside. Now, this safety's not very good. so as you can see, he gets hung up on his own man, has to end up cutting back, which gives Horton the ability to make a second block. So Horton blocked twice for you, Busy, on that one. again, super easy Aggie touchdown. Something to take in note is just wait for it. Everybody's walking, everybody's walking. I they didn't show it. They showed Isaiah Horton standing next to Ted to Bussey, and it was it's a sight to be seen. But sticking with it. All right. I mean here, I think this is that other angle, that touchdown. Marcel drops back, finds Kraver. And it's a it's a piss rod, man. Like absolute stinger. Absolute stinger. I'm glad I was able to find it. Yeah. Look at that thing. Rip. Wow. And there goes the mouthpiece. What a throw by Marceau there. What to throw. Alright, staying on the AM page now. And the only reason I'm sharing this, by the way, is like do you know how hard it is to find shareable game film without like breaking the rules? I mean, I'm pretty sure this is breaking the rules, right? if I'm doing this wrong by any means, listeners, feel free to shoot us a ping. Tell me how I could be better. but our next touchdown is gonna be another easy one. Jonathan Morrow. We're about three yards out, two yards out. Jonathan Morrow guy, he's definitely bulked up a little bit. He looks kind of like Ruben Owens does, but I will say I have way more faith in Jonathan Morrow than I do in Ruben Owens. And again, this is simple. looks like maybe a zone concept, zone right concept, maybe with some pulling guys. these guys are gonna pull, so this guy's dead, and this guy's not gonna make it either. The main thing I want you to see here your backup running back is lowering his shoulder into a defender to drive into the end zone. You're up 26 to zero at this point. This is a good thing. This is good. You have a stable of running backs that actually want to go and get yards. Your second string and third string running back might be better than your first string running back. You have a whole fleet of wide receivers. Isaiah Horton, Mario Kraber, Terry Bussey. They've all scored before your backup running back has scored. Do you realize this? Alright, now that we're on the same page there, that is something to be fucking hype about. Let's watch it again. my god, get off me. I'm too big for you. Way too big for you, bro. Way too girthy, bro. Golly. Alright. That's enough of that. All right, moving on. And look at the freshman. Look at Carson Baker. Look at the freshman get a carry. Take it up the middle. my gosh. Again. Again. Guys. Stop. Right here. Everybody's on their guy. Everybody's making good blocks. What I want you to notice is this guy's a freshman, and he gives it just a second to let his blockers get a little bit more out in front to open up this hole here. You'll see. There it is. Nine pushes through his hole. And wide open. Freshman touchdown. First touchdown in his career. Your third string running back has now scored a touchdown. And he looks pretty damn good doing it too. This is a we're looking good, guys. We're looking great. This is gonna be awesome. And then let's go ahead and see our last. Let's see the last touchdown of the night. We got the heartbreak kid at backup quarterback. we have no clue what Missouri State was thinking whenever this happened. I can answer that for you. They weren't. If we go ahead and just take a look at this again and break it down. Corner's coming on a blitz. The safety, the safety's not safetying. yeah, there's no nothing safe about that quarter of the or third of the field. Safety's coming over into almost like a cover one set or even a deep quarters. but nobody's on Aaron Gregory. and Brady Hart's gonna find them crisp and clean for the touchdown catch. Okay, so let's review here. You had touchdowns from Isaiah Horton, from Mario Kraber, from Terry Bussey. From Jonathan Morrow, from Carson Baker, and now from Aaron Gregory. Six different players score touchdowns for Texas A.M. I don't know when that happened last. That's an absolutely crazy statistic. But the Colin Klein woes may not be able to affect this team. And I say that so thankful. You have a team full of absolute weapons on the outside and on the inside. The only real question that's going to come from this is going to be: can the offensive line continue to improve throughout the season? and with that. Look forward to joining you guys next week.
