Explore New Testament assemblies, biblical church practices, and Christian worship as recorded in Acts and other passages.
Key Takeaways:
Biblical pattern: Early Christians met regularly to share in the apostles teaching, breaking of bread, and prayer based on scriptural authority.
Gospel principles: Church practices like the Lord's Supper and male spiritual leadership are designed to reflect the resurrection and headship of Christ.
Priesthood of all believers: Every Christian participates actively in teaching and encouraging one another during congregational worship.
Faith versus preference: Believers must distinguish between divine commands and personal traditions to maintain unity and avoid unnecessary division.
Spiritual adoption: The earthly act of gathering reflects the deep spiritual reality that Christians have been permanently adopted into the family of God.
