00:00:00.200 --> 00:00:03.319

2
00:00:03.319 --> 00:00:05.160
that even mean? What is a hotcake?
3
00:00:05.200 --> 00:00:05.599

00:00:05.759 --> 00:00:08.240

Hondas are selling like well Hondas. New models are arriving now.
11
00:00:27.039 --> 00:00:29.280
Don't wait. See your local Honda dealer today.
12
00:00:31.600 --> 00:00:33.640
Who knows what.
13
00:00:36.640 --> 00:00:41.520
The shadow?
14
00:00:53.240 --> 00:00:56.840
The shadow for that of mystery, who strikes terror as
15
00:00:56.840 --> 00:01:17.120
at the hearts of shopsters, lawbreakers and riminocle Ray, if
16
00:01:17.120 --> 00:01:19.959

All with the law, Burt, be sure you get this
21
00:01:35.519 --> 00:01:36.760
finest anthracite.
22
00:01:37.200 --> 00:01:40.959
Ask for it by name, Ask for blue cold, the
23
00:01:40.959 --> 00:01:43.359
cold that has colored a harmless blue.
24
00:01:43.200 --> 00:01:54.120
At the mines for your protection reality the Month Cranston,
25
00:01:54.519 --> 00:01:56.040
wealthy young man about town.
26
00:01:56.879 --> 00:02:02.040
Years ago in the Orient, Cranston learned strange and mysterious secret,
27
00:02:03.040 --> 00:02:07.439
the hepnotic power to cloud men's minds.
28
00:02:06.640 --> 00:02:08.479
So they cannot see him.
29
00:02:08.800 --> 00:02:13.159
Cranston's friend and companion, the lovely Margot Lane, is the
30
00:02:13.199 --> 00:02:15.719
only person who knows to whom the voice of the
31
00:02:15.759 --> 00:02:38.439
invisible Shadow belongs. Tonight's episode Murder by the Dead.
32
00:02:32.080 --> 00:02:34.400
Corpal tunder Water the Cornal tounder Water.
33
00:02:35.800 --> 00:02:37.400
A prisoner will stand.
34
00:02:39.840 --> 00:02:40.560
He just wised.
35
00:02:41.240 --> 00:02:45.039
You've been found guilty of wilful and deliberate murder after
36
00:02:45.080 --> 00:02:48.840
a fair and impartul trial. Have you anything to say
37
00:02:48.879 --> 00:02:50.879
before a sentence is pronounced upon you?
38
00:02:51.520 --> 00:02:53.439
Yeah?
39
00:02:53.520 --> 00:02:54.599
I got something to say.
40
00:02:54.879 --> 00:02:55.280
Very well.
41
00:02:55.319 --> 00:02:57.840
Be brief. Oh, I'll be brief.
42
00:02:57.919 --> 00:02:58.280
All right.
43
00:02:59.159 --> 00:03:01.039
You think you're gonna kill me, but you ain't.
44
00:03:01.719 --> 00:03:05.360
I'll get you, Yes, you up on the bench there,
45
00:03:05.479 --> 00:03:07.960
and I'll get that district attorney too, and just for
46
00:03:08.080 --> 00:03:10.400
good luck, I'll get the foreman.
47
00:03:10.159 --> 00:03:12.159
Of that crooked jury that railroaded me.
48
00:03:12.360 --> 00:03:13.639
Do you understand.
49
00:03:13.319 --> 00:03:18.280
Perfectly your threats against the district attorney and the foreman
50
00:03:18.360 --> 00:03:22.520
of the jury, Will, I am sure go as unnoticed
51
00:03:22.560 --> 00:03:24.400
as your threat against myself.
52
00:03:25.280 --> 00:03:25.919
Get is Swift.
53
00:03:27.159 --> 00:03:29.159
I hear my sentence you to be taken from here
54
00:03:29.199 --> 00:03:31.840
to the place from whence you came, and that there
55
00:03:31.919 --> 00:03:34.039
you be executed.
56
00:03:33.360 --> 00:03:38.120
In the manner provided by the law. And may God
57
00:03:38.199 --> 00:03:39.080
have mercy.
58
00:03:38.840 --> 00:03:43.159
On your soul. You will hang me with you, fool.
59
00:03:44.080 --> 00:03:47.840
I'll get you all three and if.
60
00:03:47.759 --> 00:03:50.759
I can't get your living, I'll get your.
61
00:03:50.719 --> 00:04:06.479
Dead take them away.
62
00:04:07.599 --> 00:04:11.319
Couldn't have you back in America yet, bo I cabled
63
00:04:11.319 --> 00:04:13.360
you that I was coming at once, just as soon
64
00:04:13.400 --> 00:04:15.680
as I got that frantic message from you.
65
00:04:15.840 --> 00:04:16.639
What's it all about?
66
00:04:16.920 --> 00:04:19.839
The District Attorney Star wasn't murdered last week?
67
00:04:19.959 --> 00:04:22.160
Yes, I know, I saw it in the paper.
68
00:04:22.319 --> 00:04:25.240
I cabled you because I was afraid.
69
00:04:25.040 --> 00:04:28.639
Afraid you what's the murder spooks?
70
00:04:29.199 --> 00:04:30.759
But I'm trying to believe it.
71
00:04:30.720 --> 00:04:33.079
Isn't, Darling, You're talking nonsense.
72
00:04:33.160 --> 00:04:37.000
I only hope I am lamon. It was District.
73
00:04:36.759 --> 00:04:40.360
Attorney Stowe who prosecuted that murder Peter Swift six months ago.
74
00:04:40.560 --> 00:04:43.439
Yes, I remember the chapel threatened to come back and
75
00:04:43.680 --> 00:04:48.279
get Stow and Judge Clive and the foreman of the jury.
76
00:04:48.360 --> 00:04:50.560
You haven't forgotten who the foreman of the jury was.
77
00:04:50.639 --> 00:04:50.959
Have you.
78
00:04:51.319 --> 00:04:54.519
Oh, my ge, it it was your father, wasn't it, Mongol.
79
00:04:55.279 --> 00:04:57.680
Your father is the third on the list to die.
80
00:04:57.800 --> 00:05:00.279
It's not do you understand who?
81
00:05:00.519 --> 00:05:04.839
Sorry, don't intend to suggest that, but I need Peter
82
00:05:05.000 --> 00:05:06.079
Swift was hanged.
83
00:05:06.160 --> 00:05:07.319
All I know is.
84
00:05:07.279 --> 00:05:09.600
That three men were threatened and.
85
00:05:09.600 --> 00:05:10.519
One of them is dead.
86
00:05:10.800 --> 00:05:14.079
Coincidence, of course, perhaps, But I know.
87
00:05:14.079 --> 00:05:16.920
You'll think I'm a fool a month and I don't
88
00:05:16.920 --> 00:05:20.360
know how, But perhaps Peter Swift has come back.
89
00:05:20.480 --> 00:05:22.639
Peter Swift was executed.
90
00:05:23.079 --> 00:05:27.079
Hanging Who's usually a FACTI but there is something in
91
00:05:27.160 --> 00:05:28.199
what you say I wonder not.
92
00:05:29.480 --> 00:05:31.000
So we're asked to believe that.
93
00:05:31.000 --> 00:05:34.240
Peter Swift has come back from the land of Shades to.
94
00:05:34.279 --> 00:05:35.279
Kill three men.
95
00:05:35.720 --> 00:05:39.680
Three were threatened, one is dead, murdered.
96
00:05:39.920 --> 00:05:45.879
The killer must be then a ghost a shame. Well,
97
00:05:46.040 --> 00:05:48.839
my dear, I suppose there's only one thing that can
98
00:05:48.879 --> 00:05:53.959
be opposed to a shame, and that is a shadow.
99
00:05:55.680 --> 00:06:06.079
My dear Margle, Will there be anything else, Judge.
100
00:06:05.839 --> 00:06:07.879
Clyde, Oh no, no, that's all Taylor.
101
00:06:07.920 --> 00:06:09.319
You might as well go to bed.
102
00:06:09.519 --> 00:06:11.639
I've got some work to do here in the library.
103
00:06:12.560 --> 00:06:13.920
They keep me up for quite a.
104
00:06:13.800 --> 00:06:21.920
While, Yes, sir, I like sir, oh, I.
105
00:06:21.959 --> 00:06:26.439
Were trying to see him.
106
00:06:26.480 --> 00:06:30.680
What's that, sad?
107
00:06:32.000 --> 00:06:36.279
Go open that video you.
108
00:06:37.639 --> 00:06:40.480
Oh yeah, you see me.
109
00:06:40.759 --> 00:06:46.560
Judge be just swift, But this you seem pisco that care.
110
00:06:46.920 --> 00:06:50.199
Just come back to keep my promise.
111
00:06:50.360 --> 00:06:54.120
So bath Or I am ghosting.
112
00:06:54.480 --> 00:06:56.759
Never be have your honor ghosts.
113
00:06:57.079 --> 00:06:59.560
But I cant don't say, Oh.
114
00:07:07.040 --> 00:07:07.560
I do.
115
00:07:10.199 --> 00:07:10.439
More.
116
00:07:18.759 --> 00:07:19.199
Hand on.
117
00:07:19.600 --> 00:07:23.519
You got that Clive housekeeper outside, I'll shoot her in.
118
00:07:24.000 --> 00:07:26.160
I'll get to the bottom of Judge Clive's murder.
119
00:07:26.160 --> 00:07:27.759
It was the last thing I ever do.
120
00:07:29.079 --> 00:07:31.519
Come on, Taylor, Commissioner worse than wants to talk to you.
121
00:07:31.720 --> 00:07:36.199
Oh yes, sir, this Taylor. I want to check your story.
122
00:07:37.319 --> 00:07:39.000
You too, Sergeant Riley.
123
00:07:39.120 --> 00:07:42.519
You left Judge Clive and his library about eleven o'clock.
124
00:07:42.759 --> 00:07:43.480
That's right, sir.
125
00:07:44.000 --> 00:07:44.759
Then what did you do?
126
00:07:45.759 --> 00:07:48.560
I locked the front door and then I start to
127
00:07:48.560 --> 00:07:49.199
go up to bed.
128
00:07:51.000 --> 00:07:51.560
As I was.
129
00:07:51.600 --> 00:07:54.360
Passing the library door, I heard.
130
00:07:55.639 --> 00:07:58.399
So I listened. You see I have no one.
131
00:07:58.360 --> 00:08:01.839
Need is I was I was the oh the probably guys.
132
00:08:02.879 --> 00:08:07.079
What did you hear? I heard voice?
133
00:08:07.680 --> 00:08:10.439
And then there were two shots and the bettle jangles.
134
00:08:10.720 --> 00:08:11.680
They had tried the door.
135
00:08:11.800 --> 00:08:12.519
It was locked.
136
00:08:13.079 --> 00:08:15.680
So you ran around outside the house to the window
137
00:08:15.759 --> 00:08:17.040
which you found open.
138
00:08:17.279 --> 00:08:18.600
Right, that's right, sir.
139
00:08:19.519 --> 00:08:21.240
What kind of a voice was if.
140
00:08:21.160 --> 00:08:23.160
You heard it?
141
00:08:23.199 --> 00:08:27.439
Was a kind of a horse whe spring voice.
142
00:08:27.639 --> 00:08:30.120
I couldn't make out what things I see?
143
00:08:31.079 --> 00:08:34.440
Oh, all right, missus Taylor, that'll be all over the
144
00:08:34.480 --> 00:08:35.200
present dollar.
145
00:08:35.159 --> 00:08:40.799
Yes, sir, Carr Commissioner Western A. Yeah, he was like
146
00:08:41.039 --> 00:08:42.879
the shuttle murdered Judge plot.
147
00:08:46.080 --> 00:08:49.639
I don't know waiting a Western speaking.
148
00:08:52.600 --> 00:08:58.440
You so you recognize my voice.
149
00:08:59.480 --> 00:09:00.360
I'm it's a lot.
150
00:09:01.440 --> 00:09:05.039
I wish I could get my answer, and you give.
151
00:09:04.960 --> 00:09:09.720
Me your hands, uh shadow, come, come, can make it.
152
00:09:10.039 --> 00:09:10.679
Well you want.
153
00:09:10.960 --> 00:09:13.919
I'd use a room just to do you helpful?
154
00:09:14.039 --> 00:09:17.840
I can do without your open I wonder how uh.
155
00:09:17.559 --> 00:09:21.200
I've gone a little suggestion for you? Have you ever
156
00:09:21.320 --> 00:09:24.200
thought of a queuing for bodying the fezzas?
157
00:09:25.320 --> 00:09:28.080
I think that what has been dead or six months?
158
00:09:28.559 --> 00:09:30.480
What he don't want me to do? Get you a
159
00:09:30.559 --> 00:09:33.000
lock of his hair, trace his concern.
160
00:09:33.120 --> 00:09:33.720
Don't bother.
161
00:09:34.600 --> 00:09:36.480
I'm bombing from a booth for hewing the.
162
00:09:36.600 --> 00:09:39.279
Station, and I'll be gone before you couldn't get anyone
163
00:09:39.320 --> 00:09:42.519
to hear. No can make sure. I don't want a
164
00:09:42.600 --> 00:09:43.519
lot of pets.
165
00:09:43.600 --> 00:09:45.879
Whit's there, even if I did.
166
00:09:45.960 --> 00:09:48.200
I suspect you couldn't get it for him and he
167
00:09:48.919 --> 00:09:51.159
and I said, he's still wearing him.
168
00:09:51.279 --> 00:09:52.840
Yeah, maybe he's in this car.
169
00:09:52.919 --> 00:09:56.600
I wonder district at doney Stow and jup, clive up
170
00:09:56.639 --> 00:09:59.480
and love it. It's only mister lame.
171
00:10:00.519 --> 00:10:03.080
I don't believe it goes no but.
172
00:10:04.559 --> 00:10:11.000
Shadow, don't you chet? Hello?
173
00:10:11.639 --> 00:10:11.879
Hello?
174
00:10:14.600 --> 00:10:15.639
What was that all about?
175
00:10:17.080 --> 00:10:17.919
You don't order for the.
176
00:10:18.000 --> 00:10:20.320
Exhumation of Peter Switt's body.
177
00:10:26.360 --> 00:10:29.639
By the way, stand by my orders. The police on
178
00:10:29.679 --> 00:10:32.240
the right track, but they may be too late. Go
179
00:10:32.480 --> 00:10:34.320
to the warden, states proposes a.
180
00:10:34.320 --> 00:10:35.080
Mistake on the water.
181
00:10:35.759 --> 00:10:38.639
I don't what disposition was made of Peter Swift's.
182
00:10:38.279 --> 00:10:41.159
Body following his execution. Hurry every second.
183
00:10:41.240 --> 00:10:51.960
Cop sure planted him deep, didn't they commissioned?
184
00:10:52.080 --> 00:10:53.200
I don't want any cracks.
185
00:10:54.200 --> 00:10:55.480
Haven't they gotten down that car?
186
00:10:55.600 --> 00:10:55.879
And yet?
187
00:10:56.320 --> 00:10:56.960
How are you coming?
188
00:10:57.039 --> 00:10:57.360
Boys?
189
00:10:58.320 --> 00:10:59.759
You guys hit the carp and sell.
190
00:10:59.799 --> 00:11:02.919
We have it out, so snap and get the ropes on.
191
00:11:04.279 --> 00:11:06.519
You don't care much about this drug guard know the
192
00:11:06.639 --> 00:11:08.919
digging of murderers in the middle of the night.
193
00:11:08.919 --> 00:11:09.960
Isn't my style?
194
00:11:10.279 --> 00:11:14.879
Often take charge, sir, I ain't no, this is more
195
00:11:15.000 --> 00:11:19.120
or less of a person between myself and that fiend
196
00:11:19.200 --> 00:11:20.799
who calls himself this shadow.
197
00:11:21.559 --> 00:11:25.320
Yet those ropes, all right, boys, put those ropes.
198
00:11:25.080 --> 00:11:26.600
All right, have rope shard.
199
00:11:26.639 --> 00:11:28.519
We don't want to slipping back on a snow pull.
200
00:11:31.519 --> 00:11:37.879
Here she comes there, all right, all right, getting busy
201
00:11:37.919 --> 00:11:39.000
with those screw drivers.
202
00:11:39.039 --> 00:11:39.960
And get the lid off.
203
00:11:40.480 --> 00:11:42.919
It's just nailed on, commissioner, and try it off.
204
00:11:46.320 --> 00:11:48.440
That doesn't she's open, commissioner.
205
00:11:48.679 --> 00:11:53.159
Let me look now, we'll know what space looks to
206
00:11:53.279 --> 00:11:58.279
me like bricks. The coffins filled with bricks. But where's nobody.
207
00:11:58.759 --> 00:12:00.080
Where's bets riding.
208
00:12:02.799 --> 00:12:06.159
As shadow shadow.
209
00:12:16.200 --> 00:12:17.720
While they're waiting for the shadow.
210
00:12:18.519 --> 00:12:20.159
I want to pass on a bit of advice in
211
00:12:20.240 --> 00:12:22.320
particular interest to all homeowners.
212
00:12:23.200 --> 00:12:25.559
If you're anxious to cut down your doctor's bills.
213
00:12:25.360 --> 00:12:28.000
This winter to keep your family free from a lot
214
00:12:28.039 --> 00:12:32.279
of sniffles and coals, then by all means burn anthracite
215
00:12:32.720 --> 00:12:36.399
or hard coal, because anthracite is the healthful fuel.
216
00:12:36.919 --> 00:12:38.639
It gives steady, even.
217
00:12:38.519 --> 00:12:41.720
Helpful heat, in contrast to the flashy kind of heat
218
00:12:41.759 --> 00:12:44.080
you get from the on and off types of quick
219
00:12:44.159 --> 00:12:49.720
burning fuels. And friend, don't forget this point. Furnaces, cook stoves,
220
00:12:49.799 --> 00:12:52.320
and space heaters. In this section of the country were
221
00:12:52.399 --> 00:12:57.720
especially designed to burn anthracite, and to get America's finest anthracite.
222
00:12:58.159 --> 00:13:02.480
Ask for blue coal. Blue coal burns long and evenly.
223
00:13:02.840 --> 00:13:06.519
With the furnace dampers practically closed. There's no waist up
224
00:13:06.559 --> 00:13:10.000
the chimney. It gives economical as well as healthful heat.
225
00:13:10.600 --> 00:13:11.360
Blue coal is.
226
00:13:11.399 --> 00:13:14.519
Mined about the glen Alden Coal Company, the world's largest
227
00:13:14.559 --> 00:13:18.519
produces of Pennsylvania anthracite. It is laboratory tested at the
228
00:13:18.639 --> 00:13:22.879
mines for purity and for uniformity of size. If you
229
00:13:23.080 --> 00:13:26.559
have never tried blue coal, place the trial order to morrow.
230
00:13:27.000 --> 00:13:29.200
You'll find the name of your nearest blue coal dealer
231
00:13:29.559 --> 00:13:31.919
listed in the where to bay its section of your
232
00:13:31.960 --> 00:13:36.600
classified telephone directory under the name blue Coal.
233
00:13:44.440 --> 00:13:47.679
O Mud, Thank he's your back in Marlo.
234
00:13:48.879 --> 00:13:51.120
I was right about Peter Swift. I was right, Yes,
235
00:13:51.200 --> 00:13:51.799
I know you were.
236
00:13:52.120 --> 00:13:53.639
I've found off of another source.
237
00:13:54.399 --> 00:13:57.200
Why darling, your trembling? What's the matter.
238
00:13:57.360 --> 00:13:59.879
I'm all right, I'll just come from the prison now,
239
00:14:00.639 --> 00:14:03.399
I guess well, have to talk about the bodies and executions.
240
00:14:03.480 --> 00:14:06.159
Has unnered me a little purbage.
241
00:14:06.200 --> 00:14:07.639
Sorry, I had to ask you to do it, but
242
00:14:08.200 --> 00:14:11.120
time was so short and I had to be somewhere else.
243
00:14:11.120 --> 00:14:16.519
I calm down and told me just what happened.
244
00:14:16.200 --> 00:14:16.799
On the beginning.
245
00:14:16.960 --> 00:14:19.279
Well, I went to see the wardens, said I was
246
00:14:19.320 --> 00:14:21.840
a newspaper reporter, as you told me to, and asked
247
00:14:21.879 --> 00:14:24.399
him what happened to the bodies and executed men.
248
00:14:24.519 --> 00:14:26.960
Yes, well, he told me, if the relatives.
249
00:14:26.519 --> 00:14:29.200
Don't claim the body, it's turned over to the State
250
00:14:29.320 --> 00:14:30.080
Medical College.
251
00:14:30.679 --> 00:14:32.559
So I asked him about Peter Swift.
252
00:14:33.279 --> 00:14:36.000
The warden said that, according to the record, Peter.
253
00:14:35.919 --> 00:14:37.759
Swis's family called for his remains.
254
00:14:38.279 --> 00:14:41.000
However, he said as long as I was interested, he'd
255
00:14:41.080 --> 00:14:41.360
send to.
256
00:14:41.440 --> 00:14:43.840
The guard at the south Gate. He'd know all about it.
257
00:14:44.360 --> 00:14:47.039
Pretty soon, the guard came up from the warden's office.
258
00:14:49.720 --> 00:14:52.879
Come in, you want to see me?
259
00:14:53.000 --> 00:14:53.879
Woulden? Come in?
260
00:14:54.879 --> 00:14:57.279
This is miss laid she's a newspaper reporter.
261
00:14:57.399 --> 00:14:58.360
Oh, please to meet you.
262
00:14:58.440 --> 00:14:58.559
Miss.
263
00:14:58.840 --> 00:15:01.080
She wanted to ask you about the removal of body.
264
00:15:01.399 --> 00:15:03.639
Okay, I can tell you about every stiff that's left
265
00:15:03.679 --> 00:15:05.000
here in the past fifteen years.
266
00:15:05.279 --> 00:15:06.799
Wednesday, I just wanted to worry.
267
00:15:06.879 --> 00:15:09.080
The first one I ever saw was the Grinds.
268
00:15:09.240 --> 00:15:11.600
He was strung up for murdering his mother with an
269
00:15:11.639 --> 00:15:13.679
axe from when.
270
00:15:13.600 --> 00:15:15.639
He when he comes for him there just a minute.
271
00:15:16.440 --> 00:15:21.080
There's one in particular, Miss Lane's interested in swift a
272
00:15:21.240 --> 00:15:23.440
peter swept right from another hand.
273
00:15:23.559 --> 00:15:25.440
Oh, his family was.
274
00:15:25.440 --> 00:15:28.279
Supposed to come for him, but they didn't come after all.
275
00:15:28.600 --> 00:15:32.399
No, nah, A coker named Crag came for the body
276
00:15:32.440 --> 00:15:33.320
and an old truck.
277
00:15:33.480 --> 00:15:35.279
A croker he means.
278
00:15:35.279 --> 00:15:39.200
A doctor, miss Lane. That's the rather unflattering prison.
279
00:15:39.120 --> 00:15:44.200
Term for a Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I reckon this
280
00:15:44.399 --> 00:15:48.000
crooker Craig had bought the body anyways, he.
281
00:15:48.080 --> 00:15:50.080
Took it away, but he was in a great hurry too.
282
00:15:50.600 --> 00:15:52.240
The skiff wasn't even call yet.
283
00:15:54.120 --> 00:15:57.080
Do you know where this doctor Crag came from?
284
00:15:57.399 --> 00:15:58.399
Sure, from the city.
285
00:15:58.759 --> 00:16:00.000
I got his address on him.
286
00:16:00.080 --> 00:16:01.639
Register down at the get you want it?
287
00:16:01.799 --> 00:16:03.840
Oh, yes, please, thank you very much.
288
00:16:06.039 --> 00:16:08.799
A doctor named cry Michael.
289
00:16:08.960 --> 00:16:09.720
Do you have his address?
290
00:16:09.960 --> 00:16:10.120
Yes?
291
00:16:10.159 --> 00:16:12.360
Here it is not listen.
292
00:16:12.399 --> 00:16:13.320
I've got to.
293
00:16:13.320 --> 00:16:15.799
Go out now, the monk. I'm going No, no, no,
294
00:16:15.919 --> 00:16:17.120
you're not your You're.
295
00:16:16.960 --> 00:16:19.240
Going home to be sure that your father doesn't leave
296
00:16:19.279 --> 00:16:20.559
the house until.
297
00:16:20.360 --> 00:16:21.320
This thing is clear up.
298
00:16:21.879 --> 00:16:23.679
I don't think it'll be go along, but I don't
299
00:16:23.759 --> 00:16:26.639
father take chances on, you said, but where are you going?
300
00:16:27.240 --> 00:16:30.600
Shadow is going to pay a visit to a certain.
301
00:16:30.919 --> 00:16:49.320
Doctor the solvent at last, I doesn't do What was
302
00:16:49.360 --> 00:16:50.679
that who spoke?
303
00:16:53.159 --> 00:16:54.120
I am right here?
304
00:16:55.720 --> 00:17:00.360
You lie, I'm the only person in the room, but
305
00:17:00.440 --> 00:17:01.240
I wouldn't turn.
306
00:17:01.120 --> 00:17:02.919
Around to find out, didn't you.
307
00:17:03.240 --> 00:17:05.160
Well, where's that place coming from?
308
00:17:05.519 --> 00:17:06.920
I can square there's no one else here.
309
00:17:07.359 --> 00:17:09.440
Then you must be having hallucination.
310
00:17:09.640 --> 00:17:14.759
And doctor, i'd say, saying, now you are, but you
311
00:17:15.079 --> 00:17:16.559
can't see that's all.
312
00:17:17.359 --> 00:17:20.079
What do you want? That's a thing? I had a.
313
00:17:20.119 --> 00:17:25.920
Price, have a good pride or how much twenty thousand
314
00:17:26.079 --> 00:17:26.640
and uh?
315
00:17:27.440 --> 00:17:29.079
It is a good price.
316
00:17:29.880 --> 00:17:31.079
Well, I've got a.
317
00:17:31.279 --> 00:17:36.119
Friend book tang on the twenty th this month. What's
318
00:17:36.200 --> 00:17:37.119
that got to do with me?
319
00:17:37.359 --> 00:17:40.119
You might a twenty grands?
320
00:17:41.119 --> 00:17:42.519
Who's your friend?
321
00:17:42.720 --> 00:17:43.759
His name is Louis?
322
00:17:44.079 --> 00:17:45.559
Three thing gird and Louis.
323
00:17:46.160 --> 00:17:48.160
Well, what am I supposed to do about it?
324
00:17:48.200 --> 00:17:51.359
Is? Perhaps you could keep your eye?
325
00:17:52.160 --> 00:17:56.359
Oh why come to me? Brought that gun? Doctor about
326
00:17:56.359 --> 00:17:56.720
your color?
327
00:17:56.799 --> 00:17:59.240
You'll tell a different shoot share.
328
00:18:01.240 --> 00:18:02.200
You don't mean a.
329
00:18:03.880 --> 00:18:07.079
Shadow a shadow, just one.
330
00:18:07.319 --> 00:18:09.920
A little information you won't get it.
331
00:18:10.279 --> 00:18:14.400
Little information as to how you resuscitated Peter Sweat brought
332
00:18:14.519 --> 00:18:15.640
him back from the deck.
333
00:18:15.720 --> 00:18:17.519
If you prefer the time, I won't.
334
00:18:17.319 --> 00:18:21.039
Tell you and a star has broken. I did, I did.
335
00:18:21.519 --> 00:18:24.359
I've proved I can do it. But it's my secret.
336
00:18:24.839 --> 00:18:27.480
I don't care if you are a side of these
337
00:18:27.640 --> 00:18:30.920
shadow you can't have my secret. No one can have it.
338
00:18:31.319 --> 00:18:33.640
It's mine to trade.
339
00:18:33.759 --> 00:18:35.000
A secret for mine.
340
00:18:35.240 --> 00:18:38.759
My secret of blank eye to the os.
341
00:18:39.039 --> 00:18:40.920
I can teach it to you in a fielding. It's
342
00:18:41.359 --> 00:18:42.000
a shadow.
343
00:18:42.559 --> 00:18:48.880
Secretly, I'm not interested in your secret some psychological touch.
344
00:18:49.480 --> 00:18:52.759
What's the power of making oneself invisible compared to the
345
00:18:52.839 --> 00:18:55.359
secrets of making the dead live?
346
00:18:57.480 --> 00:19:01.920
There is no comparison where a man that secret crime
347
00:19:02.799 --> 00:19:04.599
Tibet or an African jungle.
348
00:19:04.799 --> 00:19:05.599
But I won't tell you.
349
00:19:05.960 --> 00:19:06.599
I won't tell you.
350
00:19:07.079 --> 00:19:11.400
It's mind along as long as I want it to be.
351
00:19:11.599 --> 00:19:15.000
Forever and for all eternity, because only I know the
352
00:19:15.119 --> 00:19:17.359
secret and I shall never revive it.
353
00:19:18.039 --> 00:19:23.599
Well, they call me a mad man, been an institution man.
354
00:19:24.599 --> 00:19:33.279
No I am a genius. Incidence might happen one time
355
00:19:33.359 --> 00:19:34.759
in a billion, one time in a churney.
356
00:19:34.759 --> 00:19:35.680
It was no coincidence.
357
00:19:35.720 --> 00:19:38.160
I tell you if it was my genius, and I
358
00:19:38.200 --> 00:19:41.400
shall hold my secrets, I shall continue to make a
359
00:19:41.599 --> 00:19:42.359
da live.
360
00:19:42.880 --> 00:19:48.079
Making live has caused to an emented die to die
361
00:19:48.200 --> 00:19:49.960
of the hands of Peter smith As and.
362
00:19:50.079 --> 00:19:52.440
What emphasis up to me? I am not interested in that.
363
00:19:53.440 --> 00:19:58.319
The third man may die tonight, a man named Rustling.
364
00:19:58.559 --> 00:20:01.440
What do I care about russ Lain alive or dead?
365
00:20:01.680 --> 00:20:02.519
It is nothing to me.
366
00:20:02.799 --> 00:20:05.759
Will you bring ross Lane back to life?
367
00:20:06.079 --> 00:20:06.279
Oh?
368
00:20:06.559 --> 00:20:08.519
I could? I could.
369
00:20:09.079 --> 00:20:10.960
I can bring anyone back from the dead.
370
00:20:11.440 --> 00:20:13.720
I tell you I have found the secret of life
371
00:20:13.880 --> 00:20:16.319
all the dead. I can prove it, prove it again
372
00:20:16.400 --> 00:20:16.880
and again.
373
00:20:17.240 --> 00:20:19.000
I can prove it on myself.
374
00:20:19.440 --> 00:20:23.480
I can die and bring myself back to life. You
375
00:20:23.720 --> 00:20:28.960
are Oh, I am a mad I'm only putting my
376
00:20:29.079 --> 00:20:29.960
gut on the table.
377
00:20:31.559 --> 00:20:33.759
I'm not afraid of you, even though I can't see you.
378
00:20:34.000 --> 00:20:36.680
You see this, and I will prove to you. But
379
00:20:36.799 --> 00:20:38.799
I just said I am not mad.
380
00:20:39.200 --> 00:20:43.799
I have a genius. I have found the secret that.
381
00:20:47.319 --> 00:20:47.759
What was that?
382
00:20:53.680 --> 00:20:59.440
So that's pass some sign? And you think you'll bring
383
00:20:59.559 --> 00:21:02.680
yourself right?
384
00:21:02.880 --> 00:21:04.880
You were a fool, you were.
385
00:21:06.640 --> 00:21:11.799
So No, it's the shadow, I guess, ghost up.
386
00:21:11.880 --> 00:21:38.079
Peter's never the ghost, not you Jenkins.
387
00:21:38.359 --> 00:21:39.440
Good, I'll be right out.
388
00:21:39.680 --> 00:21:42.519
But mister lame, says Miss Margot.
389
00:21:43.039 --> 00:21:45.799
There's strict instructions that you would do not to go out.
390
00:21:45.640 --> 00:21:47.079
Of the house. Oh she did well.
391
00:21:47.119 --> 00:21:49.000
When she comes back, you tell her I went out.
392
00:21:49.480 --> 00:21:51.359
I'm not going to be ordered around my by and
393
00:21:51.440 --> 00:21:54.160
my own daughter as if I were a child of three. Ridiculous.
394
00:21:54.200 --> 00:21:57.599
I can take care of myself. Well open the card, Jenkins.
395
00:21:58.279 --> 00:22:01.400
But mister lame the danger my eye. I'm going straight
396
00:22:01.440 --> 00:22:04.440
to my own club. It's my own car, with my
397
00:22:04.640 --> 00:22:05.880
own chauffeur.
398
00:22:07.160 --> 00:22:07.480
The club.
399
00:22:07.599 --> 00:22:08.000
Jenkins.
400
00:22:11.359 --> 00:22:21.680
Mm hmm, Jenkins, be careful you turned that corona two wheels.
401
00:22:21.960 --> 00:22:23.799
Remember I have a weak card.
402
00:22:24.119 --> 00:22:27.119
Not carefully, Jenkins.
403
00:22:27.519 --> 00:22:28.200
Did you hear me?
404
00:22:30.279 --> 00:22:30.720
Jenkins?
405
00:22:30.920 --> 00:22:31.759
What's the matter with you?
406
00:22:32.160 --> 00:22:33.359
Stop the car is instant?
407
00:22:34.720 --> 00:22:41.279
Jacobs Jakins like why you're not Jenkins for me?
408
00:22:42.039 --> 00:22:46.079
Why why you're Peter Swift?
409
00:22:47.640 --> 00:22:48.599
I don't care who you are.
410
00:22:48.880 --> 00:22:52.640
Stop this car, Let me out, Let me out?
411
00:22:53.720 --> 00:23:05.359
O oo wait and crowk by yourself scared your death?
412
00:23:05.519 --> 00:23:11.440
Well save me the trouble. I wouldn't be sure of that, Peter.
413
00:23:11.480 --> 00:23:12.039
That's men.
414
00:23:12.519 --> 00:23:15.079
What's that ross? Lady is unharmed?
415
00:23:15.319 --> 00:23:16.799
He is all they think that he has?
416
00:23:16.839 --> 00:23:19.000
It would be punish Who who's that?
417
00:23:20.240 --> 00:23:23.119
Where are you? Don't tell me you didn't know you
418
00:23:23.359 --> 00:23:25.720
had a shadow? Is it Passinger too?
419
00:23:26.079 --> 00:23:26.359
Peter?
420
00:23:26.759 --> 00:23:30.200
Shit? Shows the shadow.
421
00:23:30.799 --> 00:23:32.000
What are you gonna look?
422
00:23:32.200 --> 00:23:34.319
I think you'd better stop the car, Peter.
423
00:23:34.480 --> 00:23:37.319
And then I received the prob BEFORTI stet you again,
424
00:23:37.480 --> 00:23:38.480
and this time there.
425
00:23:38.359 --> 00:23:40.160
Will be no doctor truck.
426
00:23:40.400 --> 00:23:43.200
Yeah, who's find they don't.
427
00:23:43.000 --> 00:23:43.400
Get me.
428
00:23:45.519 --> 00:23:48.880
Sh shadow, no showing. I'm driving his.
429
00:23:49.039 --> 00:23:52.160
Cars, and you don't can touch me if you joke,
430
00:23:52.519 --> 00:23:53.039
I ain't.
431
00:23:52.920 --> 00:23:54.039
What they gets you, Peter.
432
00:23:54.319 --> 00:23:55.559
They'll take you up with the.
433
00:23:55.720 --> 00:23:59.759
Little platform and blind poorty.
434
00:24:02.160 --> 00:24:05.319
Surround behind the.
435
00:24:07.400 --> 00:24:10.400
Driving is positively record that I think.
436
00:24:12.240 --> 00:24:24.000
Is indicating. Did you see I crashed.
437
00:24:26.160 --> 00:24:28.400
Cars at three head.
438
00:24:28.200 --> 00:24:35.519
On every please me, I'm a doctor. I'm bout a doctor.
439
00:24:35.920 --> 00:24:38.440
The old man in the back, he saw he just
440
00:24:38.680 --> 00:24:45.960
just made it shot from the other not call broken neck.
441
00:24:48.960 --> 00:24:51.119
This is funny. What's that document?
442
00:24:51.359 --> 00:24:54.359
Because Sopa has a metal brace on his neck.
443
00:24:54.480 --> 00:24:57.160
Now he must have broken it once.
444
00:25:09.039 --> 00:25:09.880
Well, there he is.
445
00:25:10.319 --> 00:25:13.319
He'd his wife the only guide and ever died twice.
446
00:25:13.400 --> 00:25:14.960
Now we're giving him a swellow funeral.
447
00:25:15.200 --> 00:25:15.359
Right.
448
00:25:15.599 --> 00:25:17.720
I bet this guy from every mob in town.
449
00:25:17.640 --> 00:25:18.319
Right in his room.
450
00:25:18.640 --> 00:25:21.480
Holy look, natural wisdom, natural.
451
00:25:21.359 --> 00:25:23.200
And cast your lamps on the reed.
452
00:25:23.440 --> 00:25:26.799
Yeah, pa, light flowers. They used to let him molder
453
00:25:26.839 --> 00:25:28.039
glass and sing, sing.
454
00:25:28.480 --> 00:25:32.400
And who set this little bunch of funny blue flowers.
455
00:25:32.519 --> 00:25:37.000
Huh oh the is uh forget me nots ain't a
456
00:25:37.079 --> 00:25:37.599
no card?
457
00:25:38.640 --> 00:25:39.920
I guess there is it there?
458
00:25:41.319 --> 00:25:44.359
My gosh, look here, what was it say?
459
00:25:45.079 --> 00:26:02.240
They shadow? Ladies and gentlemen.
460
00:26:02.279 --> 00:26:04.920
Before today's thrilling episode in the Life of the Shadow
461
00:26:05.039 --> 00:26:07.799
comes to a close, we haven't announcedment that I'm sure
462
00:26:07.799 --> 00:26:12.599
will be of interest to everybody. Beginning today, mister John Barclay,
463
00:26:13.079 --> 00:26:15.480
our blue coal heating expert, will give a series of
464
00:26:15.559 --> 00:26:18.440
practical talks on the subject of automatic heating.
465
00:26:19.400 --> 00:26:21.640
Ladies and gentlemen, mister buck.
466
00:26:21.880 --> 00:26:22.960
Gurny new friends.
467
00:26:23.480 --> 00:26:26.519
Today, more than ever before, we realize the need for
468
00:26:26.680 --> 00:26:33.039
absolutely uniform heat in order to enjoy really healthful living condition. However,
469
00:26:33.400 --> 00:26:35.759
many people are under the impression that it is necessary
470
00:26:35.839 --> 00:26:38.839
to spend huge sums of money and installed.
471
00:26:38.559 --> 00:26:42.359
Elaborate equipment in order to have this uniform meat. In
472
00:26:42.480 --> 00:26:44.440
other years that was true.
473
00:26:45.279 --> 00:26:50.039
But today you can have uniform heat twenty four hours
474
00:26:50.079 --> 00:26:52.720
a day for as little as eighteen dollars and ninety
475
00:26:52.759 --> 00:26:56.359
five cents. That's the price of a blue coal automatic
476
00:26:56.640 --> 00:26:57.559
heat regulator.
477
00:26:58.039 --> 00:27:01.599
Is this a simple device which could installed on any.
478
00:27:02.920 --> 00:27:04.519
Oh? Yes, it works.
479
00:27:04.599 --> 00:27:08.880
Equally well hot air, hot water, steam or vapor heating plants,
480
00:27:09.279 --> 00:27:12.799
even on space heaters which you probably know of as
481
00:27:12.880 --> 00:27:16.839
the parlor stones. Not only is the Blue Cold heat
482
00:27:16.880 --> 00:27:20.599
regulator so inexpensive that anyone can afford one, but its
483
00:27:20.640 --> 00:27:24.960
operation is simplicity itself. It consists of a thermostat located
484
00:27:25.319 --> 00:27:28.880
right upstairs, whether it's always handy or you can have it.
485
00:27:28.880 --> 00:27:31.880
In your living room, your dining room, your kitchen, anywhere
486
00:27:31.920 --> 00:27:32.160
at all.
487
00:27:32.799 --> 00:27:36.279
This thermostand is then installed to a silent and connected
488
00:27:36.319 --> 00:27:39.640
to a silent motor located in the basement.
489
00:27:39.400 --> 00:27:40.160
Near the furnace.
490
00:27:40.559 --> 00:27:46.079
Is it easy to install? Yes, the installation of the
491
00:27:46.119 --> 00:27:47.039
Blue Cold.
492
00:27:46.759 --> 00:27:49.559
Heat regulator is such a simple matter that it requires
493
00:27:49.640 --> 00:27:52.279
but an hour cher In fact, you don't even have
494
00:27:52.359 --> 00:27:55.279
to let the fire in your furnace go up, and
495
00:27:55.480 --> 00:28:00.000
the charge for installation is very low, averaging around five dolls.
496
00:28:01.000 --> 00:28:03.960
Why not drop in to see your nearest Blue Coal
497
00:28:04.079 --> 00:28:07.400
dealer and let him tell you more about this remarkable
498
00:28:07.440 --> 00:28:11.559

I thank you.
503
00:28:32.319 --> 00:28:34.720

Out crime, There's bitter fruit.
507
00:28:48.200 --> 00:28:50.000
Crime does not pay.

00:29:05.200 --> 00:29:08.519
Hear all about it, All about the Shadow. Next week,

00:29:13.480 --> 00:29:14.359
same time.
512
00:29:14.359 --> 00:29:15.000
Same station.
513
00:29:15.799 --> 00:29:17.799
Xtrax don't listen x.
514
00:29:26.400 --> 00:29:30.279
Our cast to night has included White West, Margot Stephenson,

Arthur Anderson, Dick Osgood, John Nanovic, organist Rosa Rio and
517
00:29:44.079 --> 00:29:47.799
Terry and Ken Ross on sound effects. Is there another
518
00:29:47.880 --> 00:29:54.359
name I should mention? And of course Carl Webber as
519
00:29:54.480 --> 00:29:59.240
John Barclay. This is your announcer, Ken Roberts, who joins
520
00:29:59.279 --> 00:30:02.400
with the cast and extending our appreciation to the creator
521
00:30:02.480 --> 00:30:05.480
of the Shadow, mister Walter Gibson.
522
00:30:13.640 --> 00:30:16.160
You know the old saying selling like hotcakes?
523
00:30:16.440 --> 00:30:17.400
What does that even mean?
524
00:30:17.680 --> 00:30:18.599
What is a hotcake?
525
00:30:18.640 --> 00:30:19.000
Anyway?
526
00:30:19.200 --> 00:30:21.680
They should change it to selling like hondas, because right
527
00:30:21.759 --> 00:30:25.000
now Hondas are selling faster than ever, probably because they're
528
00:30:25.039 --> 00:30:27.960

00:30:44.880 --> 00:30:47.680

00:30:47.799 --> 00:30:50.480
sound of me not doing dishes, and the sound of

the sound of that
1
00:00:00.200 --> 00:00:03.319
You know the old saying selling like hotcakes. What does
2
00:00:03.319 --> 00:00:05.160
that even mean? What is a hotcake?
3
00:00:05.200 --> 00:00:05.599
Anyway?
4
00:00:05.759 --> 00:00:08.240

right away. Check out the eight passenger Pilot or maybe
9
00:00:19.960 --> 00:00:22.920
the adventurous Passport. But you gotta do it fast, because
10
00:00:22.960 --> 00:00:26.960

11
00:00:27.039 --> 00:00:29.280
Don't wait. See your local Honda dealer today.
12
00:00:31.600 --> 00:00:33.640
Who knows what.
13
00:00:36.640 --> 00:00:41.520
The shadow?
14
00:00:53.240 --> 00:00:56.840
The shadow for that of mystery, who strikes terror as
15
00:00:56.840 --> 00:01:17.120

finest anthracite.
22
00:01:37.200 --> 00:01:40.959
Ask for it by name, Ask for blue cold, the
23
00:01:40.959 --> 00:01:43.359
cold that has colored a harmless blue.
24
00:01:43.200 --> 00:01:54.120
At the mines for your protection reality the Month Cranston,
25
00:01:54.519 --> 00:01:56.040
wealthy young man about town.
26
00:01:56.879 --> 00:02:02.040
Years ago in the Orient, Cranston learned strange and mysterious secret,
27
00:02:03.040 --> 00:02:07.439
the hepnotic power to cloud men's minds.
28
00:02:06.640 --> 00:02:08.479
So they cannot see him.
29
00:02:08.800 --> 00:02:13.159
Cranston's friend and companion, the lovely Margot Lane, is the
30
00:02:13.199 --> 00:02:15.719
only person who knows to whom the voice of the
31
00:02:15.759 --> 00:02:38.439
invisible Shadow belongs. Tonight's episode Murder by the Dead.
32
00:02:32.080 --> 00:02:34.400
Corpal tunder Water the Cornal tounder Water.
33
00:02:35.800 --> 00:02:37.400
A prisoner will stand.
34
00:02:39.840 --> 00:02:40.560
He just wised.
35
00:02:41.240 --> 00:02:45.039
You've been found guilty of wilful and deliberate murder after
36
00:02:45.080 --> 00:02:48.840
a fair and impartul trial. Have you anything to say
37
00:02:48.879 --> 00:02:50.879
before a sentence is pronounced upon you?
38
00:02:51.520 --> 00:02:53.439
Yeah?
39
00:02:53.520 --> 00:02:54.599
I got something to say.
40
00:02:54.879 --> 00:02:55.280
Very well.
41
00:02:55.319 --> 00:02:57.840
Be brief. Oh, I'll be brief.
42
00:02:57.919 --> 00:02:58.280
All right.
43
00:02:59.159 --> 00:03:01.039
You think you're gonna kill me, but you ain't.
44
00:03:01.719 --> 00:03:05.360
I'll get you, Yes, you up on the bench there,
45
00:03:05.479 --> 00:03:07.960
and I'll get that district attorney too, and just for
46
00:03:08.080 --> 00:03:10.400
good luck, I'll get the foreman.
47
00:03:10.159 --> 00:03:12.159
Of that crooked jury that railroaded me.
48
00:03:12.360 --> 00:03:13.639
Do you understand.
49
00:03:13.319 --> 00:03:18.280
Perfectly your threats against the district attorney and the foreman
50
00:03:18.360 --> 00:03:22.520
of the jury, Will, I am sure go as unnoticed
51
00:03:22.560 --> 00:03:24.400
as your threat against myself.
52
00:03:25.280 --> 00:03:25.919
Get is Swift.
53
00:03:27.159 --> 00:03:29.159
I hear my sentence you to be taken from here
54
00:03:29.199 --> 00:03:31.840
to the place from whence you came, and that there
55
00:03:31.919 --> 00:03:34.039
you be executed.
56
00:03:33.360 --> 00:03:38.120
In the manner provided by the law. And may God
57
00:03:38.199 --> 00:03:39.080
have mercy.
58
00:03:38.840 --> 00:03:43.159
On your soul. You will hang me with you, fool.
59
00:03:44.080 --> 00:03:47.840
I'll get you all three and if.
60
00:03:47.759 --> 00:03:50.759
I can't get your living, I'll get your.
61
00:03:50.719 --> 00:04:06.479
Dead take them away.
62
00:04:07.599 --> 00:04:11.319
Couldn't have you back in America yet, bo I cabled
63
00:04:11.319 --> 00:04:13.360
you that I was coming at once, just as soon
64
00:04:13.400 --> 00:04:15.680
as I got that frantic message from you.
65
00:04:15.840 --> 00:04:16.639
What's it all about?
66
00:04:16.920 --> 00:04:19.839
The District Attorney Star wasn't murdered last week?
67
00:04:19.959 --> 00:04:22.160
Yes, I know, I saw it in the paper.
68
00:04:22.319 --> 00:04:25.240
I cabled you because I was afraid.
69
00:04:25.040 --> 00:04:28.639
Afraid you what's the murder spooks?
70
00:04:29.199 --> 00:04:30.759
But I'm trying to believe it.
71
00:04:30.720 --> 00:04:33.079
Isn't, Darling, You're talking nonsense.
72
00:04:33.160 --> 00:04:37.000
I only hope I am lamon. It was District.
73
00:04:36.759 --> 00:04:40.360
Attorney Stowe who prosecuted that murder Peter Swift six months ago.
74
00:04:40.560 --> 00:04:43.439
Yes, I remember the chapel threatened to come back and
75
00:04:43.680 --> 00:04:48.279
get Stow and Judge Clive and the foreman of the jury.
76
00:04:48.360 --> 00:04:50.560
You haven't forgotten who the foreman of the jury was.
77
00:04:50.639 --> 00:04:50.959
Have you.
78
00:04:51.319 --> 00:04:54.519
Oh, my ge, it it was your father, wasn't it, Mongol.
79
00:04:55.279 --> 00:04:57.680
Your father is the third on the list to die.
80
00:04:57.800 --> 00:05:00.279
It's not do you understand who?
81
00:05:00.519 --> 00:05:04.839
Sorry, don't intend to suggest that, but I need Peter
82
00:05:05.000 --> 00:05:06.079
Swift was hanged.
83
00:05:06.160 --> 00:05:07.319
All I know is.
84
00:05:07.279 --> 00:05:09.600
That three men were threatened and.
85
00:05:09.600 --> 00:05:10.519
One of them is dead.
86
00:05:10.800 --> 00:05:14.079
Coincidence, of course, perhaps, But I know.
87
00:05:14.079 --> 00:05:16.920
You'll think I'm a fool a month and I don't
88
00:05:16.920 --> 00:05:20.360
know how, But perhaps Peter Swift has come back.
89
00:05:20.480 --> 00:05:22.639
Peter Swift was executed.
90
00:05:23.079 --> 00:05:27.079
Hanging Who's usually a FACTI but there is something in
91
00:05:27.160 --> 00:05:28.199
what you say I wonder not.
92
00:05:29.480 --> 00:05:31.000
So we're asked to believe that.
93
00:05:31.000 --> 00:05:34.240
Peter Swift has come back from the land of Shades to.
94
00:05:34.279 --> 00:05:35.279
Kill three men.
95
00:05:35.720 --> 00:05:39.680
Three were threatened, one is dead, murdered.
96
00:05:39.920 --> 00:05:45.879
The killer must be then a ghost a shame. Well,
97
00:05:46.040 --> 00:05:48.839
my dear, I suppose there's only one thing that can
98
00:05:48.879 --> 00:05:53.959
be opposed to a shame, and that is a shadow.
99
00:05:55.680 --> 00:06:06.079
My dear Margle, Will there be anything else, Judge.
100
00:06:05.839 --> 00:06:07.879
Clyde, Oh no, no, that's all Taylor.
101
00:06:07.920 --> 00:06:09.319
You might as well go to bed.
102
00:06:09.519 --> 00:06:11.639
I've got some work to do here in the library.
103
00:06:12.560 --> 00:06:13.920
They keep me up for quite a.
104
00:06:13.800 --> 00:06:21.920
While, Yes, sir, I like sir, oh, I.
105
00:06:21.959 --> 00:06:26.439
Were trying to see him.
106
00:06:26.480 --> 00:06:30.680
What's that, sad?
107
00:06:32.000 --> 00:06:36.279
Go open that video you.
108
00:06:37.639 --> 00:06:40.480
Oh yeah, you see me.
109
00:06:40.759 --> 00:06:46.560
Judge be just swift, But this you seem pisco that care.
110
00:06:46.920 --> 00:06:50.199
Just come back to keep my promise.
111
00:06:50.360 --> 00:06:54.120
So bath Or I am ghosting.
112
00:06:54.480 --> 00:06:56.759
Never be have your honor ghosts.
113
00:06:57.079 --> 00:06:59.560
But I cant don't say, Oh.
114
00:07:07.040 --> 00:07:07.560
I do.
115
00:07:10.199 --> 00:07:10.439
More.
116
00:07:18.759 --> 00:07:19.199
Hand on.
117
00:07:19.600 --> 00:07:23.519
You got that Clive housekeeper outside, I'll shoot her in.
118
00:07:24.000 --> 00:07:26.160
I'll get to the bottom of Judge Clive's murder.
119
00:07:26.160 --> 00:07:27.759
It was the last thing I ever do.
120
00:07:29.079 --> 00:07:31.519
Come on, Taylor, Commissioner worse than wants to talk to you.
121
00:07:31.720 --> 00:07:36.199
Oh yes, sir, this Taylor. I want to check your story.
122
00:07:37.319 --> 00:07:39.000
You too, Sergeant Riley.
123
00:07:39.120 --> 00:07:42.519
You left Judge Clive and his library about eleven o'clock.
124
00:07:42.759 --> 00:07:43.480
That's right, sir.
125
00:07:44.000 --> 00:07:44.759
Then what did you do?
126
00:07:45.759 --> 00:07:48.560
I locked the front door and then I start to
127
00:07:48.560 --> 00:07:49.199
go up to bed.
128
00:07:51.000 --> 00:07:51.560
As I was.
129
00:07:51.600 --> 00:07:54.360
Passing the library door, I heard.
130
00:07:55.639 --> 00:07:58.399
So I listened. You see I have no one.
131
00:07:58.360 --> 00:08:01.839
Need is I was I was the oh the probably guys.
132
00:08:02.879 --> 00:08:07.079
What did you hear? I heard voice?
133
00:08:07.680 --> 00:08:10.439
And then there were two shots and the bettle jangles.
134
00:08:10.720 --> 00:08:11.680
They had tried the door.
135
00:08:11.800 --> 00:08:12.519
It was locked.
136
00:08:13.079 --> 00:08:15.680
So you ran around outside the house to the window
137
00:08:15.759 --> 00:08:17.040
which you found open.
138
00:08:17.279 --> 00:08:18.600
Right, that's right, sir.
139
00:08:19.519 --> 00:08:21.240
What kind of a voice was if.
140
00:08:21.160 --> 00:08:23.160
You heard it?
141
00:08:23.199 --> 00:08:27.439
Was a kind of a horse whe spring voice.
142
00:08:27.639 --> 00:08:30.120
I couldn't make out what things I see?
143
00:08:31.079 --> 00:08:34.440
Oh, all right, missus Taylor, that'll be all over the
144
00:08:34.480 --> 00:08:35.200
present dollar.
145
00:08:35.159 --> 00:08:40.799
Yes, sir, Carr Commissioner Western A. Yeah, he was like
146
00:08:41.039 --> 00:08:42.879
the shuttle murdered Judge plot.
147
00:08:46.080 --> 00:08:49.639
I don't know waiting a Western speaking.
148
00:08:52.600 --> 00:08:58.440
You so you recognize my voice.
149
00:08:59.480 --> 00:09:00.360
I'm it's a lot.
150
00:09:01.440 --> 00:09:05.039
I wish I could get my answer, and you give.
151
00:09:04.960 --> 00:09:09.720
Me your hands, uh shadow, come, come, can make it.
152
00:09:10.039 --> 00:09:10.679
Well you want.
153
00:09:10.960 --> 00:09:13.919
I'd use a room just to do you helpful?
154
00:09:14.039 --> 00:09:17.840
I can do without your open I wonder how uh.
155
00:09:17.559 --> 00:09:21.200
I've gone a little suggestion for you? Have you ever
156
00:09:21.320 --> 00:09:24.200
thought of a queuing for bodying the fezzas?
157
00:09:25.320 --> 00:09:28.080
I think that what has been dead or six months?
158
00:09:28.559 --> 00:09:30.480
What he don't want me to do? Get you a
159
00:09:30.559 --> 00:09:33.000
lock of his hair, trace his concern.
160
00:09:33.120 --> 00:09:33.720
Don't bother.
161
00:09:34.600 --> 00:09:36.480
I'm bombing from a booth for hewing the.
162
00:09:36.600 --> 00:09:39.279
Station, and I'll be gone before you couldn't get anyone
163
00:09:39.320 --> 00:09:42.519
to hear. No can make sure. I don't want a
164
00:09:42.600 --> 00:09:43.519
lot of pets.
165
00:09:43.600 --> 00:09:45.879
Whit's there, even if I did.
166
00:09:45.960 --> 00:09:48.200
I suspect you couldn't get it for him and he
167
00:09:48.919 --> 00:09:51.159
and I said, he's still wearing him.
168
00:09:51.279 --> 00:09:52.840
Yeah, maybe he's in this car.
169
00:09:52.919 --> 00:09:56.600
I wonder district at doney Stow and jup, clive up
170
00:09:56.639 --> 00:09:59.480
and love it. It's only mister lame.
171
00:10:00.519 --> 00:10:03.080
I don't believe it goes no but.
172
00:10:04.559 --> 00:10:11.000
Shadow, don't you chet? Hello?
173
00:10:11.639 --> 00:10:11.879
Hello?
174
00:10:14.600 --> 00:10:15.639
What was that all about?
175
00:10:17.080 --> 00:10:17.919
You don't order for the.
176
00:10:18.000 --> 00:10:20.320
Exhumation of Peter Switt's body.
177
00:10:26.360 --> 00:10:29.639
By the way, stand by my orders. The police on
178
00:10:29.679 --> 00:10:32.240
the right track, but they may be too late. Go
179
00:10:32.480 --> 00:10:34.320
to the warden, states proposes a.
180
00:10:34.320 --> 00:10:35.080
Mistake on the water.
181
00:10:35.759 --> 00:10:38.639
I don't what disposition was made of Peter Swift's.
182
00:10:38.279 --> 00:10:41.159
Body following his execution. Hurry every second.
183
00:10:41.240 --> 00:10:51.960
Cop sure planted him deep, didn't they commissioned?
184
00:10:52.080 --> 00:10:53.200
I don't want any cracks.
185
00:10:54.200 --> 00:10:55.480
Haven't they gotten down that car?
186
00:10:55.600 --> 00:10:55.879
And yet?
187
00:10:56.320 --> 00:10:56.960
How are you coming?
188
00:10:57.039 --> 00:10:57.360
Boys?
189
00:10:58.320 --> 00:10:59.759
You guys hit the carp and sell.
190
00:10:59.799 --> 00:11:02.919
We have it out, so snap and get the ropes on.
191
00:11:04.279 --> 00:11:06.519
You don't care much about this drug guard know the
192
00:11:06.639 --> 00:11:08.919
digging of murderers in the middle of the night.
193
00:11:08.919 --> 00:11:09.960
Isn't my style?
194
00:11:10.279 --> 00:11:14.879
Often take charge, sir, I ain't no, this is more
195
00:11:15.000 --> 00:11:19.120
or less of a person between myself and that fiend
196
00:11:19.200 --> 00:11:20.799
who calls himself this shadow.
197
00:11:21.559 --> 00:11:25.320
Yet those ropes, all right, boys, put those ropes.
198
00:11:25.080 --> 00:11:26.600
All right, have rope shard.
199
00:11:26.639 --> 00:11:28.519
We don't want to slipping back on a snow pull.
200
00:11:31.519 --> 00:11:37.879
Here she comes there, all right, all right, getting busy
201
00:11:37.919 --> 00:11:39.000
with those screw drivers.
202
00:11:39.039 --> 00:11:39.960
And get the lid off.
203
00:11:40.480 --> 00:11:42.919
It's just nailed on, commissioner, and try it off.
204
00:11:46.320 --> 00:11:48.440
That doesn't she's open, commissioner.
205
00:11:48.679 --> 00:11:53.159
Let me look now, we'll know what space looks to
206
00:11:53.279 --> 00:11:58.279
me like bricks. The coffins filled with bricks. But where's nobody.
207
00:11:58.759 --> 00:12:00.080
Where's bets riding.
208
00:12:02.799 --> 00:12:06.159
As shadow shadow.
209
00:12:16.200 --> 00:12:17.720
While they're waiting for the shadow.
210
00:12:18.519 --> 00:12:20.159
I want to pass on a bit of advice in
211
00:12:20.240 --> 00:12:22.320
particular interest to all homeowners.
212
00:12:23.200 --> 00:12:25.559
If you're anxious to cut down your doctor's bills.
213
00:12:25.360 --> 00:12:28.000
This winter to keep your family free from a lot
214
00:12:28.039 --> 00:12:32.279
of sniffles and coals, then by all means burn anthracite
215
00:12:32.720 --> 00:12:36.399
or hard coal, because anthracite is the healthful fuel.
216
00:12:36.919 --> 00:12:38.639
It gives steady, even.
217
00:12:38.519 --> 00:12:41.720
Helpful heat, in contrast to the flashy kind of heat
218
00:12:41.759 --> 00:12:44.080
you get from the on and off types of quick
219
00:12:44.159 --> 00:12:49.720
burning fuels. And friend, don't forget this point. Furnaces, cook stoves,
220
00:12:49.799 --> 00:12:52.320
and space heaters. In this section of the country were
221
00:12:52.399 --> 00:12:57.720
especially designed to burn anthracite, and to get America's finest anthracite.
222
00:12:58.159 --> 00:13:02.480
Ask for blue coal. Blue coal burns long and evenly.
223
00:13:02.840 --> 00:13:06.519
With the furnace dampers practically closed. There's no waist up
224
00:13:06.559 --> 00:13:10.000
the chimney. It gives economical as well as healthful heat.
225
00:13:10.600 --> 00:13:11.360
Blue coal is.
226
00:13:11.399 --> 00:13:14.519
Mined about the glen Alden Coal Company, the world's largest
227
00:13:14.559 --> 00:13:18.519
produces of Pennsylvania anthracite. It is laboratory tested at the
228
00:13:18.639 --> 00:13:22.879
mines for purity and for uniformity of size. If you
229
00:13:23.080 --> 00:13:26.559
have never tried blue coal, place the trial order to morrow.
230
00:13:27.000 --> 00:13:29.200
You'll find the name of your nearest blue coal dealer
231
00:13:29.559 --> 00:13:31.919
listed in the where to bay its section of your
232
00:13:31.960 --> 00:13:36.600
classified telephone directory under the name blue Coal.
233
00:13:44.440 --> 00:13:47.679
O Mud, Thank he's your back in Marlo.
234
00:13:48.879 --> 00:13:51.120
I was right about Peter Swift. I was right, Yes,
235
00:13:51.200 --> 00:13:51.799
I know you were.
236
00:13:52.120 --> 00:13:53.639
I've found off of another source.
237
00:13:54.399 --> 00:13:57.200
Why darling, your trembling? What's the matter.
238
00:13:57.360 --> 00:13:59.879
I'm all right, I'll just come from the prison now,
239
00:14:00.639 --> 00:14:03.399
I guess well, have to talk about the bodies and executions.
240
00:14:03.480 --> 00:14:06.159
Has unnered me a little purbage.
241
00:14:06.200 --> 00:14:07.639
Sorry, I had to ask you to do it, but
242
00:14:08.200 --> 00:14:11.120
time was so short and I had to be somewhere else.
243
00:14:11.120 --> 00:14:16.519
I calm down and told me just what happened.
244
00:14:16.200 --> 00:14:16.799
On the beginning.
245
00:14:16.960 --> 00:14:19.279
Well, I went to see the wardens, said I was
246
00:14:19.320 --> 00:14:21.840
a newspaper reporter, as you told me to, and asked
247
00:14:21.879 --> 00:14:24.399
him what happened to the bodies and executed men.
248
00:14:24.519 --> 00:14:26.960
Yes, well, he told me, if the relatives.
249
00:14:26.519 --> 00:14:29.200
Don't claim the body, it's turned over to the State
250
00:14:29.320 --> 00:14:30.080
Medical College.
251
00:14:30.679 --> 00:14:32.559
So I asked him about Peter Swift.
252
00:14:33.279 --> 00:14:36.000
The warden said that, according to the record, Peter.
253
00:14:35.919 --> 00:14:37.759
Swis's family called for his remains.
254
00:14:38.279 --> 00:14:41.000
However, he said as long as I was interested, he'd
255
00:14:41.080 --> 00:14:41.360
send to.
256
00:14:41.440 --> 00:14:43.840
The guard at the south Gate. He'd know all about it.
257
00:14:44.360 --> 00:14:47.039
Pretty soon, the guard came up from the warden's office.
258
00:14:49.720 --> 00:14:52.879
Come in, you want to see me?
259
00:14:53.000 --> 00:14:53.879
Woulden? Come in?
260
00:14:54.879 --> 00:14:57.279
This is miss laid she's a newspaper reporter.
261
00:14:57.399 --> 00:14:58.360
Oh, please to meet you.
262
00:14:58.440 --> 00:14:58.559
Miss.
263
00:14:58.840 --> 00:15:01.080
She wanted to ask you about the removal of body.
264
00:15:01.399 --> 00:15:03.639
Okay, I can tell you about every stiff that's left
265
00:15:03.679 --> 00:15:05.000
here in the past fifteen years.
266
00:15:05.279 --> 00:15:06.799
Wednesday, I just wanted to worry.
267
00:15:06.879 --> 00:15:09.080
The first one I ever saw was the Grinds.
268
00:15:09.240 --> 00:15:11.600
He was strung up for murdering his mother with an
269
00:15:11.639 --> 00:15:13.679
axe from when.
270
00:15:13.600 --> 00:15:15.639
He when he comes for him there just a minute.
271
00:15:16.440 --> 00:15:21.080
There's one in particular, Miss Lane's interested in swift a
272
00:15:21.240 --> 00:15:23.440
peter swept right from another hand.
273
00:15:23.559 --> 00:15:25.440
Oh, his family was.
274
00:15:25.440 --> 00:15:28.279
Supposed to come for him, but they didn't come after all.
275
00:15:28.600 --> 00:15:32.399
No, nah, A coker named Crag came for the body
276
00:15:32.440 --> 00:15:33.320
and an old truck.
277
00:15:33.480 --> 00:15:35.279
A croker he means.
278
00:15:35.279 --> 00:15:39.200
A doctor, miss Lane. That's the rather unflattering prison.
279
00:15:39.120 --> 00:15:44.200
Term for a Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I reckon this
280
00:15:44.399 --> 00:15:48.000
crooker Craig had bought the body anyways, he.
281
00:15:48.080 --> 00:15:50.080
Took it away, but he was in a great hurry too.
282
00:15:50.600 --> 00:15:52.240
The skiff wasn't even call yet.
283
00:15:54.120 --> 00:15:57.080
Do you know where this doctor Crag came from?
284
00:15:57.399 --> 00:15:58.399
Sure, from the city.
285
00:15:58.759 --> 00:16:00.000
I got his address on him.
286
00:16:00.080 --> 00:16:01.639
Register down at the get you want it?
287
00:16:01.799 --> 00:16:03.840
Oh, yes, please, thank you very much.
288
00:16:06.039 --> 00:16:08.799
A doctor named cry Michael.
289
00:16:08.960 --> 00:16:09.720
Do you have his address?
290
00:16:09.960 --> 00:16:10.120
Yes?
291
00:16:10.159 --> 00:16:12.360
Here it is not listen.
292
00:16:12.399 --> 00:16:13.320
I've got to.
293
00:16:13.320 --> 00:16:15.799
Go out now, the monk. I'm going No, no, no,
294
00:16:15.919 --> 00:16:17.120
you're not your You're.
295
00:16:16.960 --> 00:16:19.240
Going home to be sure that your father doesn't leave
296
00:16:19.279 --> 00:16:20.559
the house until.
297
00:16:20.360 --> 00:16:21.320
This thing is clear up.
298
00:16:21.879 --> 00:16:23.679
I don't think it'll be go along, but I don't
299
00:16:23.759 --> 00:16:26.639
father take chances on, you said, but where are you going?
300
00:16:27.240 --> 00:16:30.600
Shadow is going to pay a visit to a certain.
301
00:16:30.919 --> 00:16:49.320
Doctor the solvent at last, I doesn't do What was
302
00:16:49.360 --> 00:16:50.679
that who spoke?
303
00:16:53.159 --> 00:16:54.120
I am right here?
304
00:16:55.720 --> 00:17:00.360
You lie, I'm the only person in the room, but
305
00:17:00.440 --> 00:17:01.240
I wouldn't turn.
306
00:17:01.120 --> 00:17:02.919
Around to find out, didn't you.
307
00:17:03.240 --> 00:17:05.160
Well, where's that place coming from?
308
00:17:05.519 --> 00:17:06.920
I can square there's no one else here.
309
00:17:07.359 --> 00:17:09.440
Then you must be having hallucination.
310
00:17:09.640 --> 00:17:14.759
And doctor, i'd say, saying, now you are, but you
311
00:17:15.079 --> 00:17:16.559
can't see that's all.
312
00:17:17.359 --> 00:17:20.079
What do you want? That's a thing? I had a.
313
00:17:20.119 --> 00:17:25.920
Price, have a good pride or how much twenty thousand
314
00:17:26.079 --> 00:17:26.640
and uh?
315
00:17:27.440 --> 00:17:29.079
It is a good price.
316
00:17:29.880 --> 00:17:31.079
Well, I've got a.
317
00:17:31.279 --> 00:17:36.119
Friend book tang on the twenty th this month. What's
318
00:17:36.200 --> 00:17:37.119
that got to do with me?
319
00:17:37.359 --> 00:17:40.119
You might a twenty grands?
320
00:17:41.119 --> 00:17:42.519
Who's your friend?
321
00:17:42.720 --> 00:17:43.759
His name is Louis?
322
00:17:44.079 --> 00:17:45.559
Three thing gird and Louis.
323
00:17:46.160 --> 00:17:48.160
Well, what am I supposed to do about it?
324
00:17:48.200 --> 00:17:51.359
Is? Perhaps you could keep your eye?
325
00:17:52.160 --> 00:17:56.359
Oh why come to me? Brought that gun? Doctor about
326
00:17:56.359 --> 00:17:56.720
your color?
327
00:17:56.799 --> 00:17:59.240
You'll tell a different shoot share.
328
00:18:01.240 --> 00:18:02.200
You don't mean a.
329
00:18:03.880 --> 00:18:07.079
Shadow a shadow, just one.
330
00:18:07.319 --> 00:18:09.920
A little information you won't get it.
331
00:18:10.279 --> 00:18:14.400
Little information as to how you resuscitated Peter Sweat brought
332
00:18:14.519 --> 00:18:15.640
him back from the deck.
333
00:18:15.720 --> 00:18:17.519
If you prefer the time, I won't.
334
00:18:17.319 --> 00:18:21.039
Tell you and a star has broken. I did, I did.
335
00:18:21.519 --> 00:18:24.359
I've proved I can do it. But it's my secret.
336
00:18:24.839 --> 00:18:27.480
I don't care if you are a side of these
337
00:18:27.640 --> 00:18:30.920
shadow you can't have my secret. No one can have it.
338
00:18:31.319 --> 00:18:33.640
It's mine to trade.
339
00:18:33.759 --> 00:18:35.000
A secret for mine.
340
00:18:35.240 --> 00:18:38.759
My secret of blank eye to the os.
341
00:18:39.039 --> 00:18:40.920
I can teach it to you in a fielding. It's
342
00:18:41.359 --> 00:18:42.000
a shadow.
343
00:18:42.559 --> 00:18:48.880
Secretly, I'm not interested in your secret some psychological touch.
344
00:18:49.480 --> 00:18:52.759
What's the power of making oneself invisible compared to the
345
00:18:52.839 --> 00:18:55.359
secrets of making the dead live?
346
00:18:57.480 --> 00:19:01.920
There is no comparison where a man that secret crime
347
00:19:02.799 --> 00:19:04.599
Tibet or an African jungle.
348
00:19:04.799 --> 00:19:05.599
But I won't tell you.
349
00:19:05.960 --> 00:19:06.599
I won't tell you.
350
00:19:07.079 --> 00:19:11.400
It's mind along as long as I want it to be.
351
00:19:11.599 --> 00:19:15.000
Forever and for all eternity, because only I know the
352
00:19:15.119 --> 00:19:17.359
secret and I shall never revive it.
353
00:19:18.039 --> 00:19:23.599
Well, they call me a mad man, been an institution man.
354
00:19:24.599 --> 00:19:33.279
No I am a genius. Incidence might happen one time
355
00:19:33.359 --> 00:19:34.759
in a billion, one time in a churney.
356
00:19:34.759 --> 00:19:35.680
It was no coincidence.
357
00:19:35.720 --> 00:19:38.160
I tell you if it was my genius, and I
358
00:19:38.200 --> 00:19:41.400
shall hold my secrets, I shall continue to make a
359
00:19:41.599 --> 00:19:42.359
da live.
360
00:19:42.880 --> 00:19:48.079
Making live has caused to an emented die to die
361
00:19:48.200 --> 00:19:49.960
of the hands of Peter smith As and.
362
00:19:50.079 --> 00:19:52.440
What emphasis up to me? I am not interested in that.
363
00:19:53.440 --> 00:19:58.319
The third man may die tonight, a man named Rustling.
364
00:19:58.559 --> 00:20:01.440
What do I care about russ Lain alive or dead?
365
00:20:01.680 --> 00:20:02.519
It is nothing to me.
366
00:20:02.799 --> 00:20:05.759
Will you bring ross Lane back to life?
367
00:20:06.079 --> 00:20:06.279
Oh?
368
00:20:06.559 --> 00:20:08.519
I could? I could.
369
00:20:09.079 --> 00:20:10.960
I can bring anyone back from the dead.
370
00:20:11.440 --> 00:20:13.720
I tell you I have found the secret of life
371
00:20:13.880 --> 00:20:16.319
all the dead. I can prove it, prove it again
372
00:20:16.400 --> 00:20:16.880
and again.
373
00:20:17.240 --> 00:20:19.000
I can prove it on myself.
374
00:20:19.440 --> 00:20:23.480
I can die and bring myself back to life. You
375
00:20:23.720 --> 00:20:28.960
are Oh, I am a mad I'm only putting my
376
00:20:29.079 --> 00:20:29.960
gut on the table.
377
00:20:31.559 --> 00:20:33.759
I'm not afraid of you, even though I can't see you.
378
00:20:34.000 --> 00:20:36.680
You see this, and I will prove to you. But
379
00:20:36.799 --> 00:20:38.799
I just said I am not mad.
380
00:20:39.200 --> 00:20:43.799
I have a genius. I have found the secret that.
381
00:20:47.319 --> 00:20:47.759
What was that?
382
00:20:53.680 --> 00:20:59.440
So that's pass some sign? And you think you'll bring
383
00:20:59.559 --> 00:21:02.680
yourself right?
384
00:21:02.880 --> 00:21:04.880
You were a fool, you were.
385
00:21:06.640 --> 00:21:11.799
So No, it's the shadow, I guess, ghost up.
386
00:21:11.880 --> 00:21:38.079
Peter's never the ghost, not you Jenkins.
387
00:21:38.359 --> 00:21:39.440
Good, I'll be right out.
388
00:21:39.680 --> 00:21:42.519
But mister lame, says Miss Margot.
389
00:21:43.039 --> 00:21:45.799
There's strict instructions that you would do not to go out.
390
00:21:45.640 --> 00:21:47.079
Of the house. Oh she did well.
391
00:21:47.119 --> 00:21:49.000
When she comes back, you tell her I went out.
392
00:21:49.480 --> 00:21:51.359
I'm not going to be ordered around my by and
393
00:21:51.440 --> 00:21:54.160
my own daughter as if I were a child of three. Ridiculous.
394
00:21:54.200 --> 00:21:57.599
I can take care of myself. Well open the card, Jenkins.
395
00:21:58.279 --> 00:22:01.400
But mister lame the danger my eye. I'm going straight
396
00:22:01.440 --> 00:22:04.440
to my own club. It's my own car, with my
397
00:22:04.640 --> 00:22:05.880
own chauffeur.
398
00:22:07.160 --> 00:22:07.480
The club.
399
00:22:07.599 --> 00:22:08.000
Jenkins.
400
00:22:11.359 --> 00:22:21.680
Mm hmm, Jenkins, be careful you turned that corona two wheels.
401
00:22:21.960 --> 00:22:23.799
Remember I have a weak card.
402
00:22:24.119 --> 00:22:27.119
Not carefully, Jenkins.
403
00:22:27.519 --> 00:22:28.200
Did you hear me?
404
00:22:30.279 --> 00:22:30.720
Jenkins?
405
00:22:30.920 --> 00:22:31.759
What's the matter with you?
406
00:22:32.160 --> 00:22:33.359
Stop the car is instant?
407
00:22:34.720 --> 00:22:41.279
Jacobs Jakins like why you're not Jenkins for me?
408
00:22:42.039 --> 00:22:46.079
Why why you're Peter Swift?
409
00:22:47.640 --> 00:22:48.599
I don't care who you are.
410
00:22:48.880 --> 00:22:52.640
Stop this car, Let me out, Let me out?
411
00:22:53.720 --> 00:23:05.359
O oo wait and crowk by yourself scared your death?
412
00:23:05.519 --> 00:23:11.440
Well save me the trouble. I wouldn't be sure of that, Peter.
413
00:23:11.480 --> 00:23:12.039
That's men.
414
00:23:12.519 --> 00:23:15.079
What's that ross? Lady is unharmed?
415
00:23:15.319 --> 00:23:16.799
He is all they think that he has?
416
00:23:16.839 --> 00:23:19.000
It would be punish Who who's that?
417
00:23:20.240 --> 00:23:23.119
Where are you? Don't tell me you didn't know you
418
00:23:23.359 --> 00:23:25.720
had a shadow? Is it Passinger too?
419
00:23:26.079 --> 00:23:26.359
Peter?
420
00:23:26.759 --> 00:23:30.200
Shit? Shows the shadow.
421
00:23:30.799 --> 00:23:32.000
What are you gonna look?
422
00:23:32.200 --> 00:23:34.319
I think you'd better stop the car, Peter.
423
00:23:34.480 --> 00:23:37.319
And then I received the prob BEFORTI stet you again,
424
00:23:37.480 --> 00:23:38.480
and this time there.
425
00:23:38.359 --> 00:23:40.160
Will be no doctor truck.
426
00:23:40.400 --> 00:23:43.200
Yeah, who's find they don't.
427
00:23:43.000 --> 00:23:43.400
Get me.
428
00:23:45.519 --> 00:23:48.880
Sh shadow, no showing. I'm driving his.
429
00:23:49.039 --> 00:23:52.160
Cars, and you don't can touch me if you joke,
430
00:23:52.519 --> 00:23:53.039
I ain't.
431
00:23:52.920 --> 00:23:54.039
What they gets you, Peter.
432
00:23:54.319 --> 00:23:55.559
They'll take you up with the.
433
00:23:55.720 --> 00:23:59.759
Little platform and blind poorty.
434
00:24:02.160 --> 00:24:05.319
Surround behind the.
435
00:24:07.400 --> 00:24:10.400
Driving is positively record that I think.
436
00:24:12.240 --> 00:24:24.000
Is indicating. Did you see I crashed.
437
00:24:26.160 --> 00:24:28.400
Cars at three head.
438
00:24:28.200 --> 00:24:35.519
On every please me, I'm a doctor. I'm bout a doctor.
439
00:24:35.920 --> 00:24:38.440
The old man in the back, he saw he just
440
00:24:38.680 --> 00:24:45.960
just made it shot from the other not call broken neck.
441
00:24:48.960 --> 00:24:51.119
This is funny. What's that document?
442
00:24:51.359 --> 00:24:54.359
Because Sopa has a metal brace on his neck.
443
00:24:54.480 --> 00:24:57.160
Now he must have broken it once.
444
00:25:09.039 --> 00:25:09.880
Well, there he is.
445
00:25:10.319 --> 00:25:13.319
He'd his wife the only guide and ever died twice.
446
00:25:13.400 --> 00:25:14.960
Now we're giving him a swellow funeral.
447
00:25:15.200 --> 00:25:15.359
Right.
448
00:25:15.599 --> 00:25:17.720
I bet this guy from every mob in town.
449
00:25:17.640 --> 00:25:18.319
Right in his room.
450
00:25:18.640 --> 00:25:21.480
Holy look, natural wisdom, natural.
451
00:25:21.359 --> 00:25:23.200
And cast your lamps on the reed.
452
00:25:23.440 --> 00:25:26.799
Yeah, pa, light flowers. They used to let him molder
453
00:25:26.839 --> 00:25:28.039
glass and sing, sing.
454
00:25:28.480 --> 00:25:32.400
And who set this little bunch of funny blue flowers.
455
00:25:32.519 --> 00:25:37.000
Huh oh the is uh forget me nots ain't a
456
00:25:37.079 --> 00:25:37.599
no card?
457
00:25:38.640 --> 00:25:39.920
I guess there is it there?
458
00:25:41.319 --> 00:25:44.359
My gosh, look here, what was it say?
459
00:25:45.079 --> 00:26:02.240
They shadow? Ladies and gentlemen.
460
00:26:02.279 --> 00:26:04.920
Before today's thrilling episode in the Life of the Shadow
461
00:26:05.039 --> 00:26:07.799
comes to a close, we haven't announcedment that I'm sure
462
00:26:07.799 --> 00:26:12.599
will be of interest to everybody. Beginning today, mister John Barclay,
463
00:26:13.079 --> 00:26:15.480
our blue coal heating expert, will give a series of
464
00:26:15.559 --> 00:26:18.440
practical talks on the subject of automatic heating.
465
00:26:19.400 --> 00:26:21.640
Ladies and gentlemen, mister buck.
466
00:26:21.880 --> 00:26:22.960
Gurny new friends.
467
00:26:23.480 --> 00:26:26.519
Today, more than ever before, we realize the need for
468
00:26:26.680 --> 00:26:33.039
absolutely uniform heat in order to enjoy really healthful living condition. However,
469
00:26:33.400 --> 00:26:35.759
many people are under the impression that it is necessary
470
00:26:35.839 --> 00:26:38.839
to spend huge sums of money and installed.
471
00:26:38.559 --> 00:26:42.359
Elaborate equipment in order to have this uniform meat. In
472
00:26:42.480 --> 00:26:44.440
other years that was true.
473
00:26:45.279 --> 00:26:50.039
But today you can have uniform heat twenty four hours
474
00:26:50.079 --> 00:26:52.720
a day for as little as eighteen dollars and ninety
475
00:26:52.759 --> 00:26:56.359
five cents. That's the price of a blue coal automatic
476
00:26:56.640 --> 00:26:57.559
heat regulator.
477
00:26:58.039 --> 00:27:01.599
Is this a simple device which could installed on any.
478
00:27:02.920 --> 00:27:04.519
Oh? Yes, it works.
479
00:27:04.599 --> 00:27:08.880
Equally well hot air, hot water, steam or vapor heating plants,
480
00:27:09.279 --> 00:27:12.799
even on space heaters which you probably know of as
481
00:27:12.880 --> 00:27:16.839
the parlor stones. Not only is the Blue Cold heat
482
00:27:16.880 --> 00:27:20.599
regulator so inexpensive that anyone can afford one, but its
483
00:27:20.640 --> 00:27:24.960
operation is simplicity itself. It consists of a thermostat located
484
00:27:25.319 --> 00:27:28.880
right upstairs, whether it's always handy or you can have it.
485
00:27:28.880 --> 00:27:31.880
In your living room, your dining room, your kitchen, anywhere
486
00:27:31.920 --> 00:27:32.160
at all.
487
00:27:32.799 --> 00:27:36.279
This thermostand is then installed to a silent and connected
488
00:27:36.319 --> 00:27:39.640
to a silent motor located in the basement.
489
00:27:39.400 --> 00:27:40.160
Near the furnace.
490
00:27:40.559 --> 00:27:46.079
Is it easy to install? Yes, the installation of the
491
00:27:46.119 --> 00:27:47.039
Blue Cold.
492
00:27:46.759 --> 00:27:49.559
Heat regulator is such a simple matter that it requires
493
00:27:49.640 --> 00:27:52.279
but an hour cher In fact, you don't even have
494
00:27:52.359 --> 00:27:55.279
to let the fire in your furnace go up, and
495
00:27:55.480 --> 00:28:00.000
the charge for installation is very low, averaging around five dolls.
496
00:28:01.000 --> 00:28:03.960
Why not drop in to see your nearest Blue Coal
497
00:28:04.079 --> 00:28:07.400

00:29:47.880 --> 00:29:54.359
name I should mention? And of course Carl Webber as
519
00:29:54.480 --> 00:29:59.240
John Barclay. This is your announcer, Ken Roberts, who joins
520
00:29:59.279 --> 00:30:02.400
with the cast and extending our appreciation to the creator
521
00:30:02.480 --> 00:30:05.480
of the Shadow, mister Walter Gibson.
522
00:30:13.640 --> 00:30:16.160
You know the old saying selling like hotcakes?
523
00:30:16.440 --> 00:30:17.400
What does that even mean?
524
00:30:17.680 --> 00:30:18.599
What is a hotcake?
525
00:30:18.640 --> 00:30:19.000
Anyway?
526
00:30:19.200 --> 00:30:21.680
They should change it to selling like hondas, because right
527
00:30:21.759 --> 00:30:25.000
now Hondas are selling faster than ever, probably because they're
528
00:30:25.039 --> 00:30:27.960
so rugged, long lasting, and fuel efficient, and if you
529
00:30:28.039 --> 00:30:30.359
want one, you should get to your local Honda dealer
530
00:30:30.480 --> 00:30:33.359
right away. Check out the eight passenger Pilot more maybe
531
00:30:33.400 --> 00:30:36.359
the adventurous Passport. But you gotta do it fast because
532
00:30:36.400 --> 00:30:40.319
Hondas are selling like well Hondas. New models are arriving now.
533
00:30:40.480 --> 00:30:44.759
Don't wait. See your local Honda dealer today. That's the
534
00:30:44.880 --> 00:30:47.680
sound of me prepping dinner with Reynolds wraps, and the
535
00:30:47.799 --> 00:30:50.480
sound of me not doing dishes, and the sound of
536
00:30:50.559 --> 00:30:54.039
my family having more time around the table, easy prep,
537
00:30:54.160 --> 00:30:57.720
cook and clean, make time with Reynolds wrap I like
538
00:30:57.799 --> 00:30:58.359
the sound of that
