Rewilding People Pleasing: Archetypes, Human Design, and Sovereignty With Jess Beard

Welcome, beloved wanderers and creative misfits, to the inaugural episode of Rewilding the Mythic Self: A Podcast for Soul-Led Leadership Beyond Systems of Silence. Today, we gather at the threshold of a new campfire—trading the well-worn cloaks of institutional people-pleasing for the fierce sovereignty of our mythic, embodied selves.

In this opening transmission, I— Josephine Patricia —invite you into a ceremonial dialogue with Jess Beard, a coach who dances at the fertile crossroads of archetypal wisdom, energy healing, and certified human design, which she facilitates in the $9/month Alchemy Lab Membership (send her a DM after the free trial that you joined through this blog/podcast and get access to the Heal Your People Pleaser Course for free until December, 31th 2025). Together, we spiral deep into the tender terrain of “people-pleasing”—not as a flaw, but as an ancient survival song, coded into generations both by grief and ancestral longing for belonging.

As the flames rise, we reflect on our own shapeshifting, our years as spiritual exiles and chronic over-givers, illuminated by the soul-maps of human design and the archetypes we carry in our bones. Jess shares her medicine for alchemizing the “shapeshifter” and martyr within, while I speak to my own journey from the academy’s halls to the wild woods of creative and sovereign living.

We ask:

What does it mean to reclaim your sacred “no” in a world addicted to your “yes”?

How might neurodivergence, ancestral grief, and folk mysticism each form portals—rather than prisons—for your expansion?

And what shifts when you remember that rewilding is not a quick fix, but a cyclical, untidy return to your soul’s holy ground?

This episode is an invocation—a composting of institutional silence, an invitation to claim your space at the table of New Earth. Here, there is no “too much” and no expiration date on your becoming.

So, bring your unraveling, your lineage, your peculiar gifts. Settle in. Let visibility become your devotion.

Because together, we are reseeding the world—and the rewilding has only just begun.

About Rewilding the Mythic Self with Josephine Patricia

Welcome to Rewilding the Mythic Self—a podcast and blog portal for soul-led seekers, visionary misfits, and ancestral cycle-breakers ready to reclaim their creative sovereignty, spiritual autonomy, and mythic truth beyond systems of silence.

Hosted by Dr. Josephine Patricia Jarvis, this space is a ceremonial hearth where neurodivergent leaders, recovering over-givers, and repressed mystics gather to unearth the stories, symbols, and soulwork that awaken their deepest knowing. Through poetic storytelling, folk wisdom, trauma-informed reflections, and liberatory conversations, we remember: you are not broken—you’ve been conditioned.

Here, we spiral through the sacred mess of rewilding. We compost performance, perfectionism, and institutional entanglement to grow something more ancient and alive.

Each episode and blog post is an invitation to:

* Trust your creative and emotional impulses as holy guides

* Remember the ancestral threads you carry in your body

* Liberate your inner shapeshifter, oracle, artist, and rebel

* Practice visibility as a devotional act, not a demand

* Rebuild your life in rhythm with your soul—not systems

This is not self-help. This is soul retrieval.

Because the path forward isn’t linear—it’s mythic.

This won’t be a repeat of anything I’ve done before. It’s a new rhythm. A new spell. A new myth unfolding. If your soul is whispering yes, stay close. The rewilding has only just begun.
