AI is moving from assisting recruiters to actually doing parts of the recruitment workflow.
But what does that mean for recruiters, recruitment agencies and talent acquisition teams?
In this episode of RecTalk, Nitin Sharma speaks with Siadhal Magos, Co-founder & CEO of Metaview, about the rapid evolution of AI in recruitment — and what the next 18–24 months could look like.
Siadhal shares the story behind Metaview, from its beginnings around capturing recruitment conversations and interview data to its evolution into an agentic recruiting platform.
The conversation explores why context and data could become more important than the individual AI application itself, why recruitment technology is increasingly moving beyond traditional point solutions, and whether recruiters should simply use general-purpose AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT rather than specialist recruitment technology.
They also discuss the rise of AI agents and how they could eventually handle much more of the recruitment workflow — from sourcing and outreach to scheduling, pipeline analysis and candidate relationship management.
But this isn't simply a conversation about AI replacing recruiters.
Siadhal believes the human side of recruitment could become even more valuable: building relationships, influencing candidates and clients, understanding people, reading subtext and bringing the human judgement that AI can't easily replicate.
So what does the recruiter of the future actually look like?
And what should recruitment business owners and TA leaders be doing now to prepare?
In this episode:

• Why recruitment conversation data matters
• How GPT changed the direction of AI recruitment technology
